Biomimicry
To Mimic Life.
Lily holds a Master's in Biomimicry from Arizona State University, one of the leading and few colleges in the country teaching Biomimicry at that level.
Currently she's teaching at Pratt Institute a course called Biology for Biomimicry. A course for design students, helping them to translate nature into applicable designs.
She also has a podcast called Learning from Nature where she uncovers how biomimicry is being successfully applied across disciplines and industries.
Definitely check it out.

Permaculture
It really means 'permanent culture.' The permanent cultivation of our human territory.
Because, ultimately, we achieve permanent health as humans and landscapes through designing our ecosystems to meet our needs and wants.
Learn something new everyday.
Hannah's the Co-founder of the Abundant Earth Foundation (one of our fiscal sponsors) and she helped start up the North American version of Permaculture magazine.
She was in Gautamala when we had this conversation.

They Say A Quality of The Best Leaders
Is the ability to take the complexity of something and communicate it in a way that is simple, organized, and actionable.
Simple does it.
Anton is the founder of House of Transformation and Rebuild - a networking, event, education, and community building platform that focuses on eco-villages and all of the variables that go into creating them successfully.
Key Points:
Links & Resources:
House of Transformation - https://www.hotspaces.org/
Rebuild - https://www.rebuild.events/
Kelly's the founder of New Earth Now, a regenerative development company that supports the creation of eco-villages, regenerative smart cities, and retreat centers.
She's definitely tapped into a frequency that is, in and of itself, part of the solution.
-
What I Loved:
A world without money, and a resource-based economy is possible, in the far off future.
Scalar Frequency Machines and Light Healing Beds that can heal and prevent things like cancer.
Aircrete: a sustainable building material that uses only %10 of the concrete of traditional buildings, and soap.
Algae, another carbon-sequestering building material capable of lining the outsides of buildings.
-
One of Kelly's deepest dreams is to see places of disease, hunger, and poverty regenerate and flourish with their own culture, societies, and lifestyle, restored.
I already know she's going to help make it happen.
Thank you Kelly - https://www.newearthdevelopment.org/
New Moon Blessings, Always.
Sending Love,
Broderick
Ken's a futurist, with a systems lens.
Someone's who's trained to think, plan, and implement for the future.
As such he's deeply connected to the people in Humboldt who do just that. In terms of development, energy, agriculture, tourism, and the economy as a whole.
He's invited myself as well as a number of others from here and the surrounding counties to participate in some of these conversations.
I find it fascinating, and so resonant.
He also really values the voice of the younger generation, as he understands that we'll be living through some of the most drastic change ever.
Him and his are great hosts, and they love the Soul Garden project.
-
What I really enjoyed learning:
-
Ken's definition of regeneration is generational thinking.
Appreciate y'a Ken.
Definitely a gift to the community.
12
It's a magic number.
Associated with the heaven's, the months and the zodiac, the lunations in a year (blue moons aside), the petals of a lotus building, and Oliva.
-
So the Alchemy Center is a collection of professional creatives working together to bring inspiring projects to life through a collaborative design process that harnesses everyone's genius.
It's like modern day alchemy, which is ancient.
The transformational process of taking something of little value, and turning it into something incredibly valuable.
Gold.
Which, according to historian Nevill Drury, 'to the alchemist it symbolized the highest development in nature and came to personify human renewal and regeneration.'
Stay golden.
-
I think the one, really simple point everyone could take away from this conversation is:
Extractive culture is taking more than you give back, from people or the earth.
Sustainability is maintaining a system at equilibrium.
Regeneration is giving back more than you take.
Given that our words are spells and create our reality, and planet earth is...right there...there's really just one we should be focusing on.
-
Besides that we jammed.
As she oft reminds me - appreciate what's right in front of you.
Appreciate you Olivia.
Sending Love,
Broderick
They Say The Heart
Is the 'Seat of the Soul'.
The interface between who we really are and our physical body.
It is the inspiration for this page, and Soul Garden.
Rollin's researched this for over thirty years, with people like Dr. Joe Dispenza. They're friends, they research together.
We'll be collaborating in the future.
Having both of those organizations in the Lotus Temple has been the plan since day one.
The future lives in our hearts.
That's what I believe.
-
Key Points
-
"Love is intelligence. It is the organizing intelligence of the universe, the creative force, and the baseline frequency of planet earth."
I Googled 'Embodied Potential'
And found Maud.

Justin is the co-founder of the Flow Consciousness Institute, researcher and teacher, and all around awesome human.
Highly Recommend.
-
Key Points:

As The Man Who Brought Joseph Campbell Into My Life
We kicked off the conversation with this quote:
"We need myths that will identify the individual not with his local group, but with his planet."
Timely.
-
Key Points:
.
Kevin's personal heart-centered vision is a melding of technology and nature, less time working, more time creating beauty.
I think everyone's on board with that.
.
Kevin's favorite love songs are some deep bass by Ambyion.
They're fire.
Confirmed.
.
Kevin, you're a metaphysical philosopher of excellence.
Thanks for opening up that vision portal for us, Summer of 2020.
Seems to be working.
Grateful for you.
.
Lastly, a beautiful reminder that not getting what you thought you wanted means something even better is on it's way, and what's for you will never miss you.
New moon stories.
'Lucky Man' - The Verve
Sending so much love,
Broderick
The Medicinal Cannabis Queen
I like that.
Also, I don't smoke (or drink), but I absolutely understand the medicinal and healing benefits for many.
-
Key Points:
-
Her favorite love song is a mantra.
About universal love.
Good choice.
-
Thank you @dr.pepperhernandez
You're a gift to the community.
-
Now the question I'm asking is...
How can we heal the entire community?
I have an idea.
It's gonna be ride y'all!

We Dive Deep In This One
This man co-founded the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY (with humble beginnings) and now resides at his retreat center @bluespiritcostarica
Naturally, I'm curious about him. He did it.
A rich history, and a unique story.
We touched the vision a bit.
The takeaway?
Stay true to your essence throughout the process.
Stay true to the soul.
-
Also, the man's 73, but hasn't aged a day past 50.
I'll have whatever he's having.
In all realness, I want that for everyone.
-
Key Points:
Some things to think about.
-
Stephan sees a world where we embrace nature and each other with more heart-fullness.
Simple. And of course, I agree.
-
Stephan's favorite love song:
'September' - Sting, Zucchero
It's pretty epic.
-
Thank you Stephan, you're a great reminder that the best things in life are FREE.
I'll hang out with your son one day.
-
I have new moon intentions.
I'll leave it at that.
Sending Love,
Broderick
P.S. Website on the Full Moon, it just makes sense. Also, it's a website. And everyone's invited.
I Want To Make A Really Strong Point
"Imagination may be the most essential, uniquely human capacity - creating both the dead - end crises of our time and the doorway through them." ~ Bill Plotkin
"Imagination is more important than knowledge...it embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.
It is the preview for life's coming attractions." ~ Albert Einstein
"The man who has no imagination has no WINGS" ~ Muhammad Ali
"Nature is imagination itself." ~ William Blake
I'm a stand for more benevolent imagination in the world.
Big One
-
Now Cassandra knows a great deal about imagination, because she studies it professionally.
Here's what we learned:
Who knew.
Anyone?
-
Cassandra wants to live in a world that's re-enchanted - infused with awe, wonder, beauty, and creativity.
I want to live in that world too.
-
Cassandra enjoys Stevie Wonder & Marvin Gaye. Her favorite long song:
'Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours) - Stevie Wonder
Classic.
-
Thank You @cassandra.vieten - May we all grow angel-like wings for the future of our world.
-
Happy Full Moon
The top of the inbreathe before we collectively exhale. A time of appreciating what's manifested, heightened energy, and reflection as we clear space for the new and what's to come.
I can feel it.
Looking forward to it all.
And lastly...
It's way more fun.
Sending Love,
Broderick
We Didn't Solve The World's Problems
But we had fun talking through some of them.
In the words of Marianne Williamson "Bryan is a warrior for love, in every sense of the word."
That's an honor.
And honestly?
I just like the term.
.
According to Bryan there's no evidence that great relationships heal the world.
I still think they do.
After all, "we're so connected, the word 'connected' doesn't even make sense."
The ocean in a drop. Ripples.
That's Rumi code for 'great relationships heal the world.'
-
Key Points:
!!
-
Bryan wants to live in a world where women feel safe, and can fully bring their gifts without having to dim their shine.
I want to live in that world too.
-
Lastly, Bryan's favorite love song's...
He gave us three.
'Open Arms' & 'Faithfully' - Journey
'Rooting For You' - London Grammar
All gems.
-
We'll get a playlist going next year with everyone's unique contributions.
And when the time comes, you know what we're gonna do.
-
Thank you @bryanreevesinsight
You're a wealth of wisdom and a gift to the world.
-
Next guest for the masculine is Stephan Rechtschaffen, co-founder of Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.
Fitting.
Happy New Moon y'all, set those intentions!
They seem to work.
Sending Love,
Broderick
