In episode three, we continue reading   “The State of Slim” by James O. Hill PhD and Holly R. Wyatt MD. This episode covers chapter 4 & 5. We dive into how to get moving State of Slim style and give an overview of the upcoming 16-weeks we’re about to face.

The “State of Slim” is different from most diet books in that it focuses on two different bodies of research to come up with an interesting lifestyle diet. The first area of research is focused on understanding how Colorado became the leanest state in America.

It pairs those insights with the research gleaned from The National Weight Control Registry (NWCR) that follows overweight people who have lost an average of 70 pounds and kept that weight off over 6 years. With these different groups of people in mind Dr. Hill and Dr. Wyatt created a three phase plan for a long term solution that is focused not only on helping you lose weight, but creating a new healthy lifestyle that keeps the weight off.
