Welcoming 2022 with celebrations. Many congrats to Manoj for being the sixth Gurkha Soldier ever to get selected for Commissioning from RMAS in last 206 years of service to the crown. In this episode, he shares his journey right from the beginning starting with his initial resistance to becoming a Gurkha whilst pursuing his studies in Darjeeling, to now, as a newly Second Lieutenant. Please note that we did record this session three days prior to his passing out parade.
Manoj is also a mountain bike leader, rock climbing supervisor, paragliding club pilot and enjoys travelling around the world doing what he loves - climbing, surfing, skiing, diving, gliding, etc.

Deeya Pun talks about how she got into the world of acting in Nepal and gives an insight into the hard work that goes behind making a movie from working long days, doing research and post-production. Majority of her experience has been very positive but she is very honest about the fact that it’s not always a smooth journey in this field and shares a personal story about a negative experience she faced, which taught her a lot about this industry - the good and bad.
We also delved into her love for climbing mountains and her reasons for starting. I have to admit just talking to her really encouraged me to turn my bucket list into reality because climbing has been on my list for so long! So hopefully once it’s safe to do so I can get out there and start my climbing journey.

In this episode, I talk to my good friend Rimona about her experience working as a Pharmacist and then switching to the world of Consultancy. We discuss the reasons behind her career change, her current role as a Junior Consultant at Atkins and adapting to a completely new work environment. It was also great to touch on diversity within workplace and the differences she experienced working within these two different industries.

It's not easy creating a sustainable fashion brand from scratch but Jyoti persisted and started Highonfleurs despite the obstacles that came her way.
Jyoti shares her experience of working as a full-time Production Merchandiser and making time to launch Highonfleurs - created for women who are unapologetically themselves. She talks about everything that is involved in creating a fashion brand from fit outs to production, factory visit to china (including stalkers following her to her hotel room!), the importance of networking and turning to friends for help. We discuss the differences between her brand vs. other high street brands, difference in. price points, the use of deadstock fabric, using recycled labels and the consequences of choosing sustainable vs fast fashion on the entire supply chain.
It was really inspiring to hear Jyoti's story and I loved how personal and honest she was about the realities of starting a fashion brand - the good and bad. Jyoti's journey also shows that it's not always necessary to go to University and it's fine to follow the path that's right for you.

In this episode, Om talks about his journey from moving to India to study his MSc in Information Security at UCL to working as a Security Consultant at Accenture where he works with different clients from a range of industries solving all sorts of problems.
Om talks about how his family background influenced his career choice, how he'd never planned to study or work in London and the changes he experienced here once moving from India. He also shares his thoughts about the challenges people face in his industry and the reality of working with global companies.
It was really insightful to hear about Om's role as a Security Consultant, a career that I didn't have much knowledge about and it was great interviewing Om about his journey so far.

**Suprabha Rai AKA Shaz talks about applying and studying medicine in Bulgaria, gives an insight into her daily life as a doctor now, the rotations she’s covered so far and everything else related to her career. And you know you can always rely on Shaz to give an honest insight into her journey!

**I had a great time talking to Resma Rajbhandari about her journey to becoming a doctor which was quite different from Shaz’s story (EP 22). Resma shares her experience as a F2 doctor, how playing basketball at Uni helped her balance her medical student life, the challenges that she faced and more.
If you don't already know Resma, she is very sporty and loves to encourage other girls to keep playing whatever sport it may be. **Aiken is a Private Banking Graduate and a Dancer from Singapore who is currently exploring life in London. In this episode, we cover a fair bit about his journey so far from his military service in Singapore, his passion for dance, his reasons for wanting to pursue a career in private banking and more.
I love talking to people from different backgrounds and discussing their career and other interests because it sparks all sorts of inspiration and Aiken is definitely someone who is very driven and I had a great time recording this episode with him.

**In this episode, Sudichhya talks about what it takes to work as a Teacher. We discuss the qualities required to be a teacher and how she got into teaching. Sudichhya also shares her own stories and experience along with the joys and challenges that come with being a teacher. One thing I couldn't get in this recording was Sudichhya expressing the lack of diversity in the teaching profession and the importance of needing more Asian teachers considering there's a lot of research showing that students can benefit from a diverse teaching workforce.
I had a great time recording this episode, learning about this demanding profession but also understanding that it can be a very fulfilling career...if it’s right for you.

Ana is a registered and qualified nutritionist with a range of experience in various settings and countries. **Tash is a Malaysian-Chinese Brit who’s had a roundabout journey to becoming a copywriter. She explains how a break-up led her to starting a blog, which then extended to an Instagram account with over 12k followers and a YouTube channel. We discuss how an introvert can navigate the online world, the importance of being authentic and not being scared to fail.
