Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion has finally received its own unique queue background music. After an extension queue expansion project, it has finally received proper BGM that debuted during Haunted Mansion Holiday. This recording is taken near the train station so you do hear a bit of the train as well.

A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegria de Disneyland & Miguel complete performance.
On Monday through Friday evenings, “A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” celebrates the spirit of the holidays through heartfelt stories and timeless songs in an enchanting street performance on Buena Vista Street. The celebration closes with a special appearance by Miguel from Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” for a beautiful rendition of “Silent Night.”

Take a relaxing trip around Disneyland. Recorded at night, we start in Tomorrowland and loop around East to West.
Embark on a serene night time journey through Disneyland. Begin in Tomorrowland, strolling past the iconic Matterhorn. Wander through the always enchanting Fantasyland and immerse yourself in the whimsical Fantasy Faire area music. Continue your leisurely exploration through Frontierland, culminating in a visit to the futuristic Galaxy's Edge. As you rest on the first floor of the yet to be reopened Hungry Bear Jamboree, listen to the nostalgic melodies of a forgotten area loop. In the distance, hear the rhythmic chug of the Mark Twain riverboat drifting by.
Then wander through Critter Counter just weeks before its transformation to Bayou Country. The loading station and familiar sounds of Tigger dominate the soundtrack. Let’s now hop over to New Orleans Square where the eerie music box sounds echo from Haunted Mansion Holiday and the engines from the rafts for Tom Sawyer’s Island hum in the background.
It’s time to hang around the Rivers of America to take in some jazz before heading into Frontierland for some time on a bench. Then bare with some stroller sounds before taking a reprieve at the Tiki Room lanai for a moment.
Afterward, head down Main Street before exiting for the evening.
casually walk past Matterhorn, Fantasyland, meander in Fantasy Faire before heading through Frontierland and into Galaxy’s Edge. Then take a rest on the ground floor of the Hungry Bear Jamboree to hear a somewhat lost area loop. At moments you can hear the Mark Twain steam stack pass by.

These soundscapes are definitely deserving of some headphones. Start from Downtown Disney and head into Disney California Adventure amongst the hustle and bustle of a morning crowd. Quickly find a bench in Hollywoodland to catch several passes of the Red Car Trolley before continuing on throughout DCA from the J-Pop of San Fransokyo Square to the relaxing sounds around Grizzly Peak.

Background area music and ambiance for the Golden Vine Winery at California Adventure, including areas such as Mendocino Bar, Sonoma Terrace, Wine Country Trattoria, and Alfresco Tasting Terrace (now Making Key Terrace).
There is a classic “DCA 1.0” original loop that has stood the test of time. It’s dated, yet oh so glorious! A personal favorite of mine along with the original Pacific Wharf loop. This loop includes some guest ambiance as it’s recorded along the ramp down from Wine Country Trattoria as you head down the Performance Corridor.
There is one change in recording location between 4 to 5:30 minutes, but beyond that it stays steady.

Take a leisurely stroll through all of Disney’s California Adventure.
It quickly became clear that I wasn't going to get the recording I set out to caoture, as this particular day seemed challenging to get the sounds I often seek, but it remains a great snapshot in time. This is truly an episode where headphones will greatly enhance your experience.
It’s a pleasant late Spring evening in a bustling California Adventure, the sun is casting evening shadows but there's still ample light for a couple of hours. Entering the turnstiles we are welcomed by well-acclimated guests who have been around for much of the day already. The chatter is more exuberant than early morning hours, muffling the familiar tunes of the area loop.
As we venture further down Buena Vista Street and steer toward Hollywood Land, the unmistakable voices of beloved Pixar characters weave into the ambiance – it's Pixar Fest, after all!
Over in Hollywood Land, Club Pixar has taken festive control of the back area. We check out the Pixar shorts playing in the former entrance to Hollywood and Dine, but dodge the loud music in the backlot and head back to the Animation Building for some relaxation.
Understandably so, the fan-favorite spot was busy with Animation Academy and Turtle Talk getting out at the same time, so we scurry through the always enjoyable Off the Page and then head toward Avenger’s Campus.
After a leisurely stroll through the land, we emerge onto the Parade Corridor. A quick detour takes us to the cascading wonder of Grizzly Peak's back waterfall to only stand off to the side to take in the Pixar Pier Parade Corridor mix before heading through Cars Land. There we take in the normal ambiance including a cycle of Luigi’s.
We then make our way through San Fransokyo Square to catch a little J-pop and then make our way through Pixar Pier. Strangely, there were a few areas where music is normally playing that were just simply off.
Later, we catch a portion of the Pixar Fest parade, Better Together. A few moments of lively jubilation from the parade, it was time to relax through the best means I know… Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area music. While the play area was under refurbishment, the speakers still provide the somber, softer melodies that can bring anyone to a peaceful state.
We then pick ourselves up and pass by Grizzly River Run and jaunt through Grizzly Peak Airfield before exiting the park for the evening. I hope you enjoy your evening tour.

Enter the turnstiles past around 10pm and be welcomed by the Disneyland Railroad bell as you begin your full walking tour of Disneyland from East to West.
Worth noting that Critter Country is completely closed with Splash Mountain finalizing it’s conversion to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. I was however to get some sounds from Hungry Bear with some BGM I actually didn’t know existed. Can you spot it?
Haunted Mansion and the large tree canopied space out front remains closed as they reimagine the queue and space between Mansion and Tiana’s Palace.

For the first time at Angels Stadium, a drone show was presented as part of their Star Wars Weekends. This impressive show featured 800 drones. People's reactions throughout make this recording something special. You can feel the excitement in the air.

The new "Fire of the Rising Moons" experience takes the park's regular fireworks display and adds a thrilling Star Wars soundtrack, exclusively heard within Galaxy’s Edge. Previously, the fireworks themselves were visible from the land, but lacked a dedicated musical accompaniment.
To fully transport guests to a galaxy far, far away, Disney has crafted a soundscape of iconic Star Wars themes that complements the fireworks display. This experience debuted during the "Wondrous Journeys" nighttime spectacular, and is expected to become a regular feature. The score is likely to be adapted to match the length and dramatic moments of whichever fireworks show is presented on a particular night.
This was the first non-preview show as the first show debuted on 4/5/24 with cancelled fireworks.

On this brief walk around Disneyland we start just before The Hub to listen to the opening announcement, walk through Frontierland to a super quiet New Orleans Square and into Galaxy’s Edge. I then discover Rise of the Resistance has a delayed open so I retreat back to New Orleans Square.
A lot of this walk had no ambiance beyond people talking in the background. I cut out most of it, but some of the peaceful, more silent parts were left while I hung around Galaxy’s Edge entrance from Critter Country.

Enjoy a full Disneyland Paris Railroad ride from January 2024! This was recorded on video by Jeff Lange of jefflangdvd.com and MouseSteps.com. This is a grand circle tour from Frontierland through Fantasyland and Discoveryland, to Main Street U.S.A. and back to Frontierland. The video version includes views of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Space Mountain and "it's a small world".

Disneyland Hotel’s Trader Sam’s / Tangaroa Terrace exterior BGM.
They were unfortunately doing refurbishment construction on the Monorail Slide Pool while I was sitting here. I moved a little into the recording to the pool side to escape the construction noise, but ended up closer to the dish bussing area. All the more reason to record again someday.

Tale of the Lion King debuted at the Disneyland Resort on the Paradise Bay Stage in Summer of 2019. After the pandemic closure, the show was restaged for the Fantasyland Theatre and debuted May 2022. Its last day is scheduled for January 7th, 2024.

Tiana’s Palace background music.
This features a fair amount of ambience including Walt Disney’s speech being tapped in Morse Code at the Disneyland Railroad station, trains rolling into the station, sounds of Tom Sawyer’s island rafts motors, beignet bags being shaken to coat the sugar on this pastry treat, and families walking by late morning discussing their plans.
This recording is from behind the bandstand earlier in the day. Tiana’s Palace has been opening early allowing for many people to take advantage of the redone quick service restaurant. The walkway started to get somewhat busy 20 or so minutes into the recording.
It’s a bit challenging to get this audio when it’s busy and I’ll absolutely need to come back at night some time.

Disney California Adventure - Paradise Garden Bandstand - Island Reggae Band
The Paradise Garden dining area is one of the most pleasant areas in all of the Disneyland Resort. The highlight is a classic bandstand, where talented musicians perform throughout the day. The music is a mix of traditional and contemporary genres, from reggae to jazz.
Guests can enjoy a delicious meal and beer while listening to the music. In the evening, the string lights come on, creating a magical atmosphere. It's the perfect place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the theme park.

Disney California Adventure - Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Area Music
On a bench in front of the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, you can bask in the serene melodies of an acoustic guitar as it wafts through the ferns and ground foliage along the path. The soothing music will whisk you away to a carefree state of mind, where all your worries melt away.

This is several recordings of the Dapper Dans during the holiday season. I realize this is a little late for Christmas but I did record this after the new year after all.
The first small set is while they perform on the Horse-Drawn Street Car down Main Street USA as they start from Town Square. After that short performance, they come back down from Main Street from The Hub and park in front Coke Corner.

Take a walk around Disneyland’s West Side near dusk as the crows begin to arrive for the night. We begin at the turnstiles and up through Main Street with a few nice moments, spend some time in Galaxy’s Edge and slowly make our way back to the front of the park. This is truly ambient noises with occasional higher background music audio in parts than others. I will need to upgrade my equipment so I can easily adjust levels during the recording.

A walk-through of all of Galaxy’s Edge - No attractions included. Start from the Critter County entrance and travel along the Resistance area, to the south bathrooms, up to the Millennium Falcon and up through the Black Spire Outpost Market then exiting through the Fantasyland side Big Thunder Trail entrance.
This is pure ambiance that will mostly be compared to white noise.

We start with Disneyland’s Opening Announcement for the day from Town Square and continue down Main Street USA into Adventureland and ride Indiana Jones Adventure.
We then walk along the Rivers of America and ride Haunted Mansion. Afterward we stop for a little song from the Boot Strappers performing in the middle of the walkway, and then end with Big Thunder Mountain.
This recording has some more than normal moments of standing in areas that may not have BGM or a lot of activity going on. Some edits were made to remove some extended lulls.

As we board our “it’s a small world” boat, hear the ending of Main Street Electrical Parade as it steps onto the parade corridor. It drowns out the Small World clock, but the safety spiel plays over MSEP and it’s quite unique. The entirety of “it’s a small world” follows.

Disneyland Forever fireworks as heard from Small World Mall. This recording captures Small World’s chime from when it strikes 9:30PM as well as shows exit music.

Standing near the Big Thunder Mountain waterfall along Big Thunder Trail. You can hear Thunder Mountain trains speed pass and the Disneyland Railroad occasionally go by. Ultimately, the waterfall sounds more just like white noise, but could be good for trying to sleep.

Hello adventurers. Take a chair and a bao, or your favorite Dole Whip flavor, and enjoy the exotic sounds from Tropical Hideaway’s daytime background music loop. Also featured are the soothing bird noises from Jungle Cruise plus sounds of the boats coming into the dock. Rosita is also heard from afar. It was a breezy morning, but it didn’t seem to affect the recording much. Note this is missing about 15 minutes of the loop (the recorder fell so that was that).

Come along for a stroll through Adventureland where we enter from Main Street, linger around the Tiki Room and take a seat in Tropical Hideaway for moment. After some words from Rosita we wander through the Bazaar and back to the Jungle Cruise queue area only to finish up around the Indy’s exit and the truck radio playing some jams.
Tarzan’s Treehouse was closed for refurbishment during this trip so I was unable to capture any audio from there.

As Disneyland Resort still recuperates from the pandemic and slowly works to bring back large entertainment offerings such as day parades and onstage productions, Disneyland offers a “surprise” to the guests not detailing when it will be going down the parade route.
This specific cavalcade features Celebrate A Brand New Day that was featured as the Tokyo Disneyland’s 35th Anniversary song. It’s catchy and upbeat and a total ear-worm. Enjoy this brief recording as a little bonus episode.

This recording starts as soon as you enter the interior of the queue, getting over 20 minutes of queue time, the pre-show (nice work, pal), and the attraction. This complete experience wouldn’t be complete without some people perhaps being a little too loud, but it’s to be expected. A young kid to my left on the ride was EXTREMELY excited, and while some here may not be wanting to hear people talking over some of the best in-park music, his excitement is quite infectious.

This recording only proves that I have a lot to improve upon, but there are some good moments here. After meandering around Town Square, we’ll head right down the middle of Main Street USA and through Sleeping Beauty Castle’s entrance to Fantasyland.

Today’s little walk around journey takes us from Matterhorn on the Tomorrowland side just before Galactic Grill (Tomorrowland Terrace), and heads north around Mad Tea Party through Fantasyland and into Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. After a moment in the transition tunnel, we head toward Smuggler’s Run, up the ramp and through the Black Spire Outpost’s market, pas Rise of the Resistance, Hungry Bear and the Rivers of America, passing a closed Splash Mountain and ending just out front Haunted Mansion.
The audio ended abruptly due to police sirens in the surrounding neighborhood.

Take a walk during the Christmas season from the elevators at the Disneyland Hotel, through Downtown Disney, and right down the middle of Main Street USA ending right past the castle.
I take a moment in Town Square and then slowly walk down the street, encounter some Main Street vehicles, walk up through the Hub and Partners statues and straight through Sleeping Beauty Castle’s drawbridge.
Day of Notes: It was a sunny morning with rain forecasted for noon. Lines were nonexistent at the Security checkpoint and the turnstiles were about 20-30 people deep. Audio has been edited to remove the security line and the bulk of the wait at the turnstiles.
