When I created this podcast and called it Chasing Success, I wanted it to be somewhat ironic. In the intro of the show, there is a quote, "Chasing Success without Sacrificing Happiness." The reason I chose to include this phrase was because I think there is a misnomer that to be successful you must sacrifice happiness. I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement and have proof with the works of Shawn Achor's research of the "Happiness Advantage." We are not happier when we gain success but we are happier when we see the journey to success as a method of happiness.

Often quote but never given credit, Shawn Achor states (as I paraphrase), "we tend to say "I'll be happy when...I reach this level. Only to reach that level and move the milestone of happiness."

I want this podcast to deliver the misconceptions and provide ways for people to start enjoying the journey. Why? Because, ironically, when you shift the model from being successful will make me happy to be happy will make me successful, we begin to explore ways to find joy and reap the reward.

At the beginning of the year everyone constantly talks about resolutions. I don't really like resolutions because they are setting you up to fail versus creating life goals. Life goals help you find ways to create lifestyle changes for long-term opposed to an arbitrary resolution that is made up with no way to track or measure the success. Goals on the other hand have plans that are attached to actions. In this episode, I'm breaking down how you can forget resolutions and start creating life goals that matter and impact your life forever!

When I started iMEO Company it was completely different than what it is now. If I would have waited to start, I would just be figuring this out. I went from Life Coaching to Business Coaching to now offering a full on OKR Program package to help companies build and implement their OKR programs. In this episode, I describe why you should start before you're ready - you might be scared, you might fear the outcome but if you wait you are only delaying your opportunity to growth and really tap into your true purpose and passions. We breakdown my story from iMEO, a brief example from my career journey, and end on how you can apply this through my framework I've created over the years.

She helps women navigate through the transitional spaces of their lives and guide them to their Rebirth all while realigning to their natural rhythms and cycles that both we and Mother Nature move through. One of my pet peeves is someone telling me that you can't close the gap on experience through books or learning without practice. I highly disagree because I've lived this through multiple experiences. The books I have read taught me the frameworks I used today. The key is to take it further than just reading, you have to execute on what is learned.

In this episode, I walk you through how to close the gap on experience with a real story of how I did this in my life. Listen to learn more.

Have you ever been told to slow down or that you are doing too much by your manager? I have and it was very offputting. Organizations always talk about having forward thinkers or entrepreneurial mindset employees...until they actually get one. In this episode, I talk about how to navigate being "too much" with a 3-month plan that can help you enhance your success.

Earlier in my career, I would have said "navigate being too much?!? No!" However, over time I have understood to become successful, you have to tweak the way you operate in some situations to benefit for the long-term. It's not ideal but until things change in corporate, I think the tips delivered in this episode will be helpful.
