Letters from Saturn (LFS) is a show about self discovery, vulnerability and the journey towards our highest selves , and all of the things that come along with it. Ultimately it is about my journey navigating Black womanhood, and coming of age adulthood and being brutally honest about all aspects of it. This show exists as a diary for myself that I share with you all as I move through and document the different phases of life. I share my personal experiences with the topic of each episode. I share my truths, wholeheartedly and create a safe space for our community to share our truths.
Hey guyssss! In this episode of Letters from Saturn we are talking about coming back to the light after exploring our shadow. Sometimes the exploration of our shadow takes a little longer than we think it is supposed to. We explore parts of ourselves that we thought we would never unbury, but then we do, and come back stronger than ever and the inner child we were protecting starts protecting us.
TRIGGER WARNING: In this episode of LFS we talk about domestic violence, its impacts and its nuances from the perspective of someone who was child in a house where domestic violence took place (me, the girl in the pink room). I talk about how this experience created shame in my body, and became apart of my shadow, and how I have worked to get out of survival mode. If this topic is something that triggers you in anyway I suggest that you stop listening to this episode around the 30 minute mark*
Here is a link to the National Domestic Violence hotline, https://www.thehotline.org
We also talk about placidus vs whole sign chart astrology and how I am finding use of placidus in my life right now.

In today's episode we are talking about the shadow, the deepest most repressed parts of ourselves. We talk about the ego, mind identification, and the concept of time. I talk about how I am teaching myself to have a healthy ego and relationship with my desires. We discuss how happiness isn't something we attain but something we can choose to have at anytime by acknowledging the beauty of the now. There is no where to go only somewhere to be. Join us for next week's episode where we continue on our conversation about the shadow, and go deeper into how we can transmute our lower vibrational energy into something much higher!

In this episode I talk about connecting to the divinity within, getting grounded and tapping into your muladhara/ root chakra. We talk substance abuse. We talk about the different practices I use to take up the space I carved out for me, about what it means to actually take up space and what it means to be in your body. We talk about the requirement of sheer audacity to take up space and validate yourself. We say let's make some bad art make some good art and don't judge it just be proud you had the audacity. Moving forward we are saying hey, this is me good or bad (to you) I'm here and I'm taking up space perioddd. We also discuss allowing your emotions to flow but being a master of them, and intuitively moving your body without shame (dancing, humming, singing) even if it's not "good." In addition we talk about being your most authentic self no matter how uncomfortable it makes you or people around you until you are showing up as that person everyday unabashedly. I tell y'all how I'm planning to get my yoga teacher certification in the near future, and why I honor and value the practice and want to share it with others. At the end I try my hand at a little recap of the episode, I think it was a nice way to jog our memories and really solidify everything we talked about in the episode. Let me know if y'all enjoyed it I may include it in future episodes. Stay tuned for the next episode on the "shadow" coming at y'all next week Sunday. Don't miss it we are getting deeper and darker and talking about the unpleasantries associated with growth, and how it is necessary to accept the darkness in order to truly appreciate the light. Thank you guys so much for listening!

On today's episode of Letters From Saturn we are discussing all things FAITH, fear, and discernment. I share with you guys a moment where I recently felt like I was at a crossroads, and I had to make decision out of faith, and not fear, and what that felt like. We do a mini breathing exercise in which we use all of our senses to imagine our BEST case scenario, while observing what comes up and withholding judgement. We discuss the reprogramming of our subconscious minds, and I talk about how what we have internalized throughout our lives comes together to create our reality. Together we work to erode limiting beliefs, and work on strengthening our faith in the things unseen. We discuss agency and accountability when it comes to the things we KNOW our soul came to do in this lifetime. I tell you guys my opinion on karma hint it's an illusion. I also share with you guys how I have chosen to take care of my inner child might be controversial Let me know how you guys choose to "take care" of your inner child, and what methods work for you on the LFS instagram or Twitter!
