Reynolds doesn't tip toe around the subject, he stares it in it's ugly face and creates an adaptation of Ibram X. Kendi's adult work, Stamped from the Beginning, in teen-friendly language that makes it easy to pick up and put down at will. Read in chapter by chapter doses, Stamped is a novel that every American student should read and ponder. Stamped gives us another view of history-- our history-- that we should never forget and always learn from.
