Antarctica travel??!! I am not sure that I have ever chatted with anyone who has been to the continent of Antarctica before. Karen Dell and Jennifer Ormesher were such fun to talk with. They are travel friends who own their own travel businesses and are always learning about different destinations so that they can best serve their clients. The main focus of the podcast was to chat about Antarctica, but we ended up covering so much more. Did you know there is a ski resort in Alabama? Well there is and it is located on Lookout Mountain in Northeast Alabama. Cloudmont Ski Resort is one of a kind and offers a super fun night for any level of skier. When you arrive you can rent all the gear that you need, have a quick lesson from their staff, and then continue to learn for yourself on the hill. It is the perfect family activity. People come from all over to say that they have skied in AL. I recently was able to check it out for myself and we had a blast. They offer day and night skiing when they are able to blow snow. There is typically a short window of time that they are able to open in the winter because it is in the South. Tallow has been all of the rage in the skincare world. I am loving incorporating this into my skincare routine day and night. I love how natural it is and free of chemicals and artificial fragrances. Sarah Mills-Bailey is the founder of Moon Lake Tallow. She shared how this business started and how it has taken off in just 1 year. There are different essential oils used within the tallow that all have different benefits. You cna purchase either whipped tallow or a tallow balm. With saunas bring all the rage right now, I had to bring Courtney Elling on the podcast to talk about her mobile sauna business and the benefits of sauna. I gained so much from this episode and it was so interesting to learn about these Nordic countries and how sauna is a way of life for them. I recently have began using the sauna more and more and I am so obsessed. The health benefits are undeniable, but the way it makes me feel instantly is why I have been incorporating it into my lifestyle several days a week.
The concept of a mobile sauna is genius and I only forsee them coming to more and more cities around the U.S. Search around to see if there is one in your area and plug into the sauna community.

Emma Halleb is a self-taught artist from Marietta, Georgia now living in Northwest Arkansas. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma with her Doctorate in Audiology. After working several years within that field she decided to dust off her paint brushes and begin pursuing her passion again. Emma said, "she feels like an imposter some days because she gets to do something she loves so much as a career".
When Emma began painting her main area of focus was abstracts and florals. This changed after a vacation that inspired her and now all of her collections have a huge Western influence that is stunning. Choose the hard. When we have a choice in life it can be easier to choose the easy way out. Where does the easy way out get us though? It definitely does not get us to growth and that is what I wanted to talk to y'all about this week. I chose to do a heard workout yesterday. Did someone come to my house and knock on my door telling me to do it? No. But, I want to grow and achieve my goals and so that what I took a step toward.
This is not easy. The mindset work, the spiritual growth, the physical toughness... none of it is easy. We live in a world of instant gratification and things like door dash take the effort out of getting food to the table. It can be easy to begin to door dash through life in all areas. Then you begin to not make any kind of effort to shop or grow your own food or even teach your kids where food comes from. I use this as an example but this can apply to all areas of your life.
How are you setting yourself apart today and how are you becoming tougher by choosing hard things?

My heart this morning was talking all about Monday morning faith. It may not always be easy but my prayer this week is that we are able to lay down all of the distraction, let Jesus take the drivers seat, and have faith that keeps us grounded in who God is. This can be difficult because our human nature is to take control. What if you begin to let go of control and that in return gives you more control and freedom than you ever had? What if you quit searching to fill all of your time and find rest that the Lord has you were you in this season for a reason? Let's shift our mindsets this week to an instant response of faith and remember that we are unable to do this on our own and have to be dependent on the Lord. He wants us to be, so ,step into that today.

Monday morning really gets a bad rep. I am not sure why. I mean I get it you're coming off the weekend of time spent off and you have to go back onto routine. How can we create Mondays that we love? How can we shift our mindset so that each day is a luxury. I know that might sound silly, but I have been really into doing small things in my life that make life feel fancier!!! Ya know the feeling you have when you're on vacation? I have picked up on small touches from different airbnbs and resorts that have made me smile and tried to apply those into my daily life. I took 4 areas today that I believe you should be taking care of yourself and chatted about them. I also challenged you to break it down over the next four weeks in May so by the end of the month you have created some new habits. This work and these habits are not created overnight. It is something that is a lifetime of work through continued consistency! Keep showing up for yourself TODAY!

Whew y'all planning a wedding is no joke. Now that I have been married for about a month and a half, I am going to walk you all through ALL of the details. We hopped from one Fairmont hotel to the next and it is a hotel that I will stay at again and again when traveling to this area. we had the best time in Banff exploring the town, skiing two different mountains, riding the Banff gondola, getting massages, having tea, and eating lots of good food. We started our honeymoon out at Lake Louise. When thinking about places to go for a honeymoon we of course wanted something a little out of the norm and a place that neither of us had even been to before. We travel all day and finally arrives at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. If you are traveling to Lake Louise then this hotel is a must stay. The lake was frozen while we were there but it was still so stunning. We enjoyed skiing, dog sledding, a sleigh ride, lots of good food, and time to relax around the hotel. Are you feeling stuck? How are the new year's resolutions going... or are they gone? If this is you then this episode is for you. Sit back and enjoy some encouraging words to help you better focus on playing off our strengths and becoming productive instead of busy.
I have spent many years setting goals at the beginning of the year and achieving some of them by the end of December. Most would think that is success, but success looks. different for everyone. I am at a constant battle of feeling like I am doing too much but also feeling as if I am not doing enough at the same time. This can be a tough spot to be in. I wish that I could tell you there is a secret sauce or magic potion to solve this issue but I have yet to find it. What I have figured out and am still trying to figure out is how to create without consuming. I know easier said than done right, but this is going to be critical for my businesses and just my sanity honestly. You do not realize how draining it is on you when you are consuming mindlessly each day. I am also incorporating a day of rest. That day for me is Sunday and I am taking this time to not work, stay off of social media, eat really clean, set intention and goals for the week, and move my body.
I encourage you to find time for rest in the midst of your busy schedule and watch your life flourish.

Excuse me! It is now February and we are in the weeds of all things wedding. I just cannot believe that here in about a month it will be wedding time! It was a lot of big details in the beginning and now we are down to the small and more minor details. If you don't know I am taking on the role as my own wedding planner and have not hired anyone. If you are a bride and on the fence about doing it yourself or hiring someone, I would say go for it! As someone who is very organized and like to have control, I am loving being able to handle everything. There is never a question about what is going on because I am the main point of contact! If you are someone who doesn't care about a detail then hiring a wedding planner might be a great option for you.
I am excited for when I can do a wedding recap podcast and share all of the details and vendors I am using. But for now, I am going to keep it a little bit of a secret and save those details for a later date.
I finished off this episode talking about the new company I am with called BODi and how I am loving it. Then I jumped into a realization that I have had recently about decision making, coming from one who is trying to overcome indecisiveness.

First off, Happy New Year, TODAY Podcast Listeners. The last and final episode of 2023! I am ecstatic about this year and all of the episodes and great guests that I had on the podcast. A few months ago I was itching to go on a ski trip but was trying to figure out a good time for everyone and also the place we wanted to go. I explored slopes on the East coast and also the West of course. If you know me you know Jackson Hole was a major contender, and I also had a few other places I was exploring. Some of those were ski resorts in North Carolina, Park City, Vail, Lake Tahoe, and Big Sky. It was a hard choice but we decided on Breckenridge and we also decided to DRIVE. If you have not taken a cross country road trip then here is your sign to make it happen.

Hi everyone! I thought that this was going to be the last episode of the year but when I just checked my calendar y'all get 2 more episodes with me in 2023. Merry Christmas Eve! I am overjoyed with all that is going on for the holidays right now. Between Christmas traditions, traveling back and forth to Birmingham 100 times, wrapping presents, and last minute shopping I have been busy. Oh and I forgot to mention a trip the day after Christmas.
I as having a conversation with my mom this week about how much of a blessing a lot to do can be. But, on the flip side do you ever feel like it is a massive check list that you are trying to check off? One task after another can sometimes be the life sucker out of the season and what it truly means. Take the time between now and New Years to slow down (and YES I am talking to myself right now too). Bask in the blessings around you and hopefully a little rest and relaxation are on the way to you before the new year.

Y'all it has been a while since we have chatted goals. Let's take a second adn talk about goals we had for this past year and were we stand. I can go ahead and tell you I did not accomplish everything on my vision board. What I love about a vision board though is the ability to add and take off once accomplished. I look at my vision board in different sections so more short term (this year), mid term (next 3-5 years), and long term (5+ years). So as you can probably imagine mine has a lot of out these dreams on it, but that's the way I like it. It is cool to see what you want right in front of you. Mine is handing on a canvas board so that I can see it daily. It is something I subconsciously look at because we are all wanting to achieve our goals. On this episode we are chatting about vision boards, goals, and dreaming big. I am excited to step into December knowing that I am prepared and ready to keep pushing towards what I want to achieve.
If you hear anything hear this. Do not give up on 2023. We still have 4 weeks left!! 1/12th of the year! Take another step. Don't put it off till January. Do it now!

Y'all know we loved Edinburgh the first time and were excited to get back and conclude our trip there too. We stayed at the Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club which was on the outskirts of Edinburgh. We took time to check out Saint Giles Cathedral, explore more at the museum, walk around Old Town, go to Holy Rood, and have tea at the Fingal. It was a great 2 days to conclude the trip. We had a not so great travel day on the way home and ended up missing out flight in Boston to get home but nothing could ruin the AMAZING trip that we had just finished. I would travel back to Scotland in a heart beat. Next week on the podcast we will be answering all your questions about Scotland. We are embarking on the second half of our trip and cannot believe how much we have packed into the first half. While the days seem to go by quickly, overall it feels as if we have been gone for months. I was particularly excited about traveling to Isle of Skye. AND let me tell you that the views and drive to get to Isle of Skye (or as the locals just call it Skye) did not disappoint. This is the Scotland weather that we were expecting. The first time on the trip that I got cold. I had dressed in fall weather clothing all of the other days and finally decided to pull out an athletic dress to wear on the coldest/rainiest day that we has on the whole trip. Unfortunately, we did not get the chance to do most of the outdoor/hiking activities we had planned so Skye is definitely an area that we have to travel back to. After our hotel debacle we were able to stay in an incredibly beautiful castle-like bed and breakfast our only night in Skye. We then headed to Stirling where we had an equally beautiful place to stay while we spent our last two days before heading back to Edinburgh for a few days. We visited the William Wallace Monument and had tea on the Fingal. Catch us back here next week for Edinburgh part 2!

Inverness!!! These 3 days were SO MUCH FUN! We had the best time in Inverness and shared all about it on this episode. We did an entire day of touring in the Highlands. We got to see Highland Cows, Loch Ness (Monster???), Urquhart Castle, Culloden battlefield, Beauly Priory, and rock formations. It was a jam packed day of learning adn sight seeing. We really enjoyed the day. The next day we had tea at the gorgeous Culloden House. We have to say our first tea party experience was amazing. The home in itself was stunning but the service and experience was second to none. If you're planning a Scotland adventure then make sure to add these stops to your vacation. You don't want to miss out on these experiences.

We left off last week traveling from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. We shared about running across Glamis Castle along the way. This week we are picking up once we get to Aberdeen. In this episode we tell you all about the next three days of the trip in and around Aberdeen. While we did not spend a ton of time in Aberdeen, there is lots to do surrounding the area. We explored the town of St. Andrews, checked out the Old Course, played golf at Trump International Golf Links, saw more castles, and learned a lot more about the history in these cool places. It's time for me to tell you all about Scotland. We are currently still in Scotland as we recorded this, but I am excited to share a bit of what we have already experienced from this trip. This portion of the series is going to feature Edinburgh Scotland which is part 1 because at the end of the trip we will be headed back to Edinburgh before we depart from this trip. We spent the first 3 days of the trip in Edinburgh and those 3 days were jam packed with tours and sight seeing. There is so much to see and do in Edinburgh. After the last birthday/ surprise engagement trip we came home for less than 2 days before setting off again. I wanted to take my sister on a surprise birthday trip. If you have not figured it out yet we love to give experiences instead of material gifts!! If you do not already do that then I 10/10 recommend starting that tradition.
I was sure where to take my sister and so for months I began brainstorming. I though about some type of horseback trip, biking trip, beach trip... but I ended up booking a trip to Sedona, AZ and to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We had the best time and created so many memories. In this episode I am laying out all the details from planning, packing, hikes we did, restaurants we tried, where we stayed, where we rented out car, and how we stayed on budget. Yes you heard that right a surprise trip. Showing up to the airport not knowing where the plane is taking you is a weird feeling. Jacob and I choose to do experiences instead of material gifts for out birthdays, So, this trip was a surprise. We set out for the airport and I didn't know much more than what the weather would be like because I had to pack. I was so stoked and couldn't wait till I found out where I was headed. (I assumed West and if you are a long time listener you would know why--- well because we love to go out west)!!! !!!! On this episode I am sharing where we landed and what we did. I just came off of the best weekend celebrating friends. One of my best friends got married and so it was a weekend full of time spent surrounded by great people. It truly was refreshing to be in the company of friends. Friends are important and as someone who is post college living in a mall town it can be hard to find community. This weekend was a great reminder though of why it is so important. Why the effort should be made to keep in touch with those who are important in your life. Reach out to that old friend who you have not touched base with in a while or actively pursue putting yourself out there to meet new people.

I have always been super passionate about it and as I grew up I always remember wanting to rearrange the furniture in my room all. the. time. What an honor it is to have a friend in Abi Inman. Abi is a labor and delivery nurse that just recently graduated from Auburn University. While in college Abi found a passion for photography and started her own photography business called Abi Inman Photography. One round seems like a challenge enough for the 75 Hard Challenge. Jacob and I decided to take it on for a second round. Join us on this episode for all of the ins and outs of 75 Hard and how we were able to not only conquer it once but twice. There are many similarities and differences between the two rounds plus many different practices that we are continuing to implement post round 2 of 75 Hard.

In TODAY's episode I had the opportunity to have Ashlea Veal on the podcast. Ashlea is a part of a network marketing company called Farmasi. In this episode we talked all about how she took a leap of faith to quit her salary job and fully pour herself into building her own business. Ashlea has a precious little girl and because of her hard work and leap of faith she is now able to stay home with her and enjoy those moments she otherwise might not would have had. I am so glad to have finally connected with Erin Hopkins for this episode. We have been friends on social media for many years. Pete Hurt, a family friend of many years, gave so many life lessons in TODAY'S episode. He shared the lessons he learned as he walked through his different stages of life. This week I had the pleasure of talking with the Vice President of Innovation and Business Development for PlayCore. Tom Norquist is from Portland, Oregon and moved to Fort Payne, AL when he was 34 years old. He shares about the neurological aspects that go into creating playground equipment and how with each intricate design they are able to create an amazing experience for people of all ages. Tom has had great success in his career believes that this success is in great correlation with his faith. He shares how important small groups are to him and how his dedication to time in the Word and prayer everyday gives him a great outlook on the day ahead.

What an intriguing episode. I learn so much each time I talk to Jacob about overloading and travel. He is full of knowledge and has never met a modification to his rig that he is not willing to learn how to make happen. His trip that took place a year ago was a trip of a lifetime and I am so glad that he sat down to tell each of you all about it. He turned a dream into reality. The U.S. is so beautiful so get outside and #findyourpark!!!

While I was a student in college I was connected with Sarah via a lady that I babysat for from my hometown. It was truly a blessing to cross paths with Sarah and her family. She was such an inspiration to me while I was a college student. The way that Sarah displayed her love for Jesus to her family and those around her is inspiring. One of my favorite things about babysitting for the Meadows family was how they parented their children. Listening to the podcast will give you insight on how they parent by keeping their children unplugged in such a plugged in society.

In college I was a personal trainer at the Auburn Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. I am so thankful for this time as I was able to take a Intro to Personal Training course where Laure Butcher was my teacher and then boss once I got my National Academy of Sports Medicine certification.
