Too young to know is a culture-centric podcast hosted by Freya, and occasionally co-hosted with Maia. Inspired by the assumption that teenagers are unaware of current affairs and are too immature to be knowledgable in topical conversations, Too young to know aims to dismantle this stereotype and compiles an entertaining balance of personal experiences with today's societal issues. It aims to explore with its listeners more about the world. New episodes every Friday on all major platforms!
Welcome back to too young to know! Today, maia and I talk about what aspects we feel make up a confident person from first glance, then we explore further what actually seperates people from being average to confident. Then we touch on what we feel personally makes us confident and how an imbalence can be detrimental to your self worth. To close we discuss what advice we have to becoming the most confident, bad bitch version of yourself!

We’re back! After our two week break, Maia and I discuss what we’ve been up to, and are excited to be back! Maia and I are both quite passionate about this topic. We cover the literal and personal definitions for role models, and who has inspired each of us to be successful. As well as this, we draw attention to the damaging rising internet star andrew tate, and his violent views that make him a dangerous person to be giving a platform to.

Being perceived is the most prevalent thing on my mind. All. The. Time. Today I bring on my first guest Daphne, who is one of my closest friends, to talk about some of the struggles teenage girls face when challenged by modern societies demanding beauty standards, and how different social media platforms affected our insecurities and damaged our self perception.

We cover a wide range of topics, from first questioning her gender and sexuality to the extensively difficult process that trans people, specifically trans youth, face when accessing medical methods of transitioning. We cover topics that maybe you've been too afraid to ask.

Today we introduce a sub-series on the podcast! This will be an open ended mini series that consists of shorter extra episodes about whatever is a current topic of conversation and interests us. We will research the topic and hope to make things a little easier and clearer to understand, whilst also learning about it ourselves in the process. Today we talk about Queen Elizabeth ll Platinum Jubilee, a country wide celebration of her majesty's 70 years on the throne. We explore how much of taxpayers money is actually being spent on the celebration, and what the 4 day bank holiday weekend actually consists of, as well as expressing our own feelings on the proceedings.
