Liz explains how a scarcity mindset—not a lack of negotiation tactics—often drives executives to undersell themselves, concede early, or lose leverage in high-stakes conversations. Drawing from her executive advising and performance psychology work, she argues that negotiations break down when unconscious belief systems and a dysregulated nervous system hijack performance, especially when scarcity shifts from “there’s never enough” externally to “I’m not enough” internally. She connects Type A patterns to two roots: fear of poverty and the belief that love is earned, which can create rejection dynamics, fear of others’ judgment, and toxic shame. Liz offers markers to spot scarcity-driven behavior (relief after conceding, post-hoc rationalization, and holding firm feeling unsafe) and concludes that real change requires healing identity-level beliefs, belonging, and trust in God—not more technique.

Liz explains overgeneralization as a shame-induced cognitive distortion that hurts performance and identity by turning a single incident into a sweeping conclusion, often marked by absolute words like “always,” “never,” “all,” and “everybody,” or by nominalization (making a process into a fixed “thing,” e.g., “my marriage is sick”). She describes thinking traps as typically showing up as self put-downs, catastrophic future beliefs, or critical regret-based thoughts, and notes that clients begin with a root analysis using five assessments to understand thought patterns and identity incongruence. Liz links overgeneralization to pessimism, reactive assumptions, perfectionism, critical self-talk, double mindedness, and toxic shame spirals that restrict life through rigid, grandiose “rules” about happiness. The antidote she offers is a three-column technique: evidence for, evidence against, and alternative conclusions to build mindfulness and reduce absolutist judgments.

Liz breaks down the cognitive trap of all-or-nothing (either/or) thinking—seeing life as black-or-white—and explains how it increases suffering by driving rigid self-judgment and critical self-talk. Drawing on psychometrics work and her root-analysis approach, she frames thinking traps as symptoms that reveal deeper “weeds,” most often perfectionism, pride/need to be right, fear of failure, and difficulty giving grace, which ultimately trace back to toxic shame. Liz illustrates the trap with everyday examples and shows how it manifests as extreme self-evaluations with no room for mistakes. As an antidote, she recommends catching absolutizing language, repeating “there are no absolutes,” and shifting to spectrum-based thinking using percentages to stay in the gray. She also connects all-or-nothing thinking to grandiosity through both inflation and deflation patterns and urges listeners to track the linguistic cues that signal toxic shame at work.

Liz explains how trauma can leave you feeling anxious and unsafe even in objectively safe environments because the nervous system stays conditioned to detect threat based on what it has learned to expect. She describes how post-trauma bias toward threat involves the amygdala becoming more sensitive, the hippocampus mislabeling present situations as past danger (often called being “triggered”), and the prefrontal cortex becoming less effective under stress, alongside neuroception—automatic scanning for safety or threat. Liz outlines common real-time signs (tension, overanalyzing, assuming something is wrong, difficulty relaxing, waiting for the “other shoe to drop”) and how mislabeling these sensations can lead to control, self-doubt, and reinforced hypervigilance. She recommends regulating the body first, anchoring in the present, doing a reality check, staying when the instinct is to leave (when truly safe), and building new evidence through repetition, connecting this process to biblical themes and her course, “Healing Trauma: The Jesus Way.”

Liz explains dissociation as an often-invisible trauma response that can persist from childhood into adulthood, allowing people to appear high-functioning while feeling absent from their own lives. She distinguishes dissociation from simple “zoning out,” describing it as a nervous system state shift triggered by perceived threat: trigger, sympathetic spike, inescapability judgment, prefrontal downshift, and time/sensation distortion. Liz outlines common signs (emotional and bodily disconnection, going blank in conflict, memory gaps, depersonalization, derealization) and emphasizes how intellectualizing can be a “brainy” form of dissociation. She discusses the costs—blocked connection, joy, clarity, and memory—and offers ways to catch early “pre-drop” cues and shift states through naming, orienting to surroundings, bodily anchoring, structured breathing, partial presence, and repetition. She also contrasts normal everyday dissociation with dangerous patterns and mentions her course, Healing Trauma the Jesus Way.

Liz explains how people often underperform not from lack of capability or discipline, but because trauma (including childhood trauma or more recent events) trains the nervous system for survival rather than expansion, creating subtle “micro-avoidance” that shows up as hesitation, overthinking, delaying decisions, and avoiding discomfort. She outlines three trauma-related shifts: a more sensitive amygdala that reads neutral cues as threats, a prefrontal cortex that becomes less effective under stress, and a nervous system that prioritizes certainty and control over growth—making pressure, visibility, and uncertainty feel unsafe even when they’re opportunities. Liz argues this creates an internal split between growth and safety, shaping identity and lowering standards over time. She recommends retraining in micro-moments by redefining discomfort, shortening the gap between awareness and action, regulating the body while acting, and building evidence through repeated follow-through, and she offers her course “Healing Trauma the Jesus Way” and one-on-one sessions.

Liz explains how sexual trauma impacts the body, identity, and ability to feel safe and connected, living not only in memory but in the nervous system and conditioning beliefs like “intimacy equals danger.” It discusses how incest can create intense confusion and toxic shame because the violator is someone expected to be trusted, leading to adaptations such as avoidance, numbness, disconnection, or forcing intimacy while being internally absent. She outlines trauma neuroscience (amygdala activation, reduced prefrontal cortex activity, freeze/shutdown) and emphasizes that time alone doesn’t rewire the nervous system—repetition and retraining do. Healing includes separating identity from adaptations, catching early body cues, communicating with a safe partner, regulating in real time, building tolerance and boundaries, and reducing avoidance. She closes with faith-based encouragement and promotes the “Healing Trauma the Jesus Way” course as a mostly science-based, holistic approach.

Liz explains how trauma impacts identity, beliefs, relationships, decision-making, and behavior, and warns that unaddressed trauma can quietly limit your future. Liz shares personal childhood trauma, including repeated attempts on their life by a brother, and describes shifting from a victim mentality to a “victor” mindset while deepening their faith in Christ. She argues the core issue isn’t only what happened, but the beliefs, patterns, and survival identity formed afterward, often expressed through avoidance and “micro-avoidance” that compounds over time. Practical steps include separating identity from experience, identifying patterns (avoidance, shutdown, overcompensation), interrupting avoidance in real time, and building evidence of safety and capability through repetition and exposure. Healing is messy, layered, non-linear, and requires daily implementation; the episode closes by inviting viewers to a course and an upcoming trauma series.

This episode explains the difference between healthy shame and toxic shame, arguing that shame is not always bad: healthy shame is a specific internal signal of misalignment that invites humility, responsibility, and repair, while toxic shame is a global identity wound that convinces a person they are fundamentally defective and drives hiding, defensiveness, and disconnection. Liz connects toxic shame to perfectionism and a “rejection mindset,” outlines how toxic shame reorganizes the nervous system around protection, and uses Genesis 3 as the first biblical picture of shame producing hiding, covering, and blame. Jesus is presented as the model of enduring shame without identity collapse because his identity was secure in the Father. The episode offers a practical process and journaling prompts to identify shame, separate behavior from identity, uncover core beliefs, return to God for stability, and repair from truth, grace, and boundaries.

Liz explains how conflict and perceived threat activate the limbic system and amygdala, making the prefrontal cortex (responsible for regulation, perspective, compassion, and wise decisions) harder to access, which is why people become defensive, shut down, or overexplain in hard conversations. Using a discussion with a conflict-averse friend and personal trauma history, she describes intentionally “building a bridge” from survival responses to mature regulation. She then compare normal human stress physiology to Jesus on the cross, noting that despite extreme pain, humiliation, rejection, and danger, Jesus forgave his executioners, cared for his mother, and welcomed the thief into paradise, suggesting his identity and belonging were secure in the Father and not governed by toxic shame. The episode closes with reflection questions and an action plan to identify where one’s environment still masters their internal world.

This episode explains why reconnecting with “parts” (inner child and age-based survival patterns) is essential for healing trauma and reaching your fullest potential, because exiled parts don’t disappear—they keep influencing behavior through overreactions, addiction, inconsistency, and internal conflict like “I know what to do, but I don’t do it.” Drawing on Janina Fisher and Internal Family Systems ideas, it reframes symptoms as protective responses rather than pathology, arguing behavior modification alone fails without understanding the deeper system. Liz outlines three layers—expression (symptoms), mechanism (nervous system threat response), and etiology/root (environment, trauma, learned behavior, biology)—and describes how pathology develops when adaptive responses don’t update. Reconnecting reduces fragmentation, builds awareness, regulation, and integration, and supports living as one’s true self by dropping masks, including shame around emotions and sexuality, and leading parts rather than letting them run the system.

Liz explains that repeating behaviors you don’t want to do (like overthinking, procrastinating, people-pleasing, or numbing with food, phone, alcohol, or weed) usually aren’t a discipline problem but a pattern run by unseen “parts.” She defines patterns as learned coping strategies and parts as versions of you with a feeling, belief, and coping method, often including a hurt younger part and a well-meaning protector part. Liz outlines 15 high-level steps to track triggers, identify the protector behavior, separate from it (“a part of me”), focus on emotions and body sensations, gently trace feelings back to earlier memories, work through blanks and resistance, identify what the younger part learned, reconnect with compassion, bring it to the present, ground if overwhelmed, and practice in real time so intensity drops and behaviors weaken over time.

In this unpolished, personal follow-up on neuroticism, I ask for psychological safety while sharing how a 16-year pattern of evening self-soothing—drinking, smoking weed, or overeating—led to next-day self-hatred, symptoms, and lost peace. After years of trying to break the cycle, I traced its origins past anorexia (nearly fatal at 15) to the years I had blocked out: ages 8–12, when I was frequently s*xually abused, deeply lonely, neglected, and constantly told I wasn’t enough, while my home was unsafe and my mother was cold and violent. I connect boredom and evenings to abandonment and fear, explain how hypervigilance shaped my neuroticism, and describe reconnecting through parts work with the unseen 8–12-year-old part of myself.

In episode one of a four-part series, Liz shares research prompted by noticing persistent “neurotic energy” in the evenings that fueled unwanted behaviors and a morning shame loop. She defines neuroticism as a non-diagnostic trait pattern marked by emotional reactivity, threat sensitivity, and difficulty returning to baseline, then traces its etiology through layered factors: biological predisposition, early unpredictable or unsafe environments that produce hypervigilance and complex trauma responses, and learned regulation strategies like rumination and catastrophizing. From a trauma-neuroscience lens, she describes threat prediction, stress-response overactivation, and looping for control that makes peace feel unsafe. Biblically, they frame the root as divided trust/internal instability (“double-mindedness”) and present a retraining process—taking thoughts captive, regulating through trust, and anchoring identity—alongside nervous system, cognitive, and spiritual integration, with a teaser for the next episode on tracing their pattern to its source.

Liz discusses the concept of "surgically" guarding your heart and nervous system through precise micro-moments, boundaries, and guardrails that protect your well-being, relationships, productivity, and overall homeostasis.
Citing a Stanford study, she contrasts micro-avoidance with the benefits of quickly confronting discomfort. Liz explains how fear responses can prevent individuals from reaching their full potential and recommends tackling the hardest, most dreaded tasks first.
She introduces an upcoming trauma series and invites questions via email and social media, sharing her personal history of severe abuse, loss, and nervous system conditioning. Liz emphasizes the importance of resilience and the ability to overcome trauma.
Using Proverbs 4:23 and Luke 6:45, she points out that messages can shape our beliefs. She warns against "following your heart" or trusting feelings as facts due to conditioning and cognitive distortions. Instead, she urges the need for intentional inputs, wise counsel, self-awareness, and the removal of triggers (such as news, certain shows, and unsafe relationships) to keep the “drawbridge” up and maintain inner peace.

If you feel “bad at relaxing,” this episode is for you.
Many type A, high-performing people do not actually know how to rest. When life slows down, their mind speeds up. They fill time off with work, productivity, scrolling, substances, stimulation, or even conflict because silence makes the internal anxiety louder.
In this video, I explain why this happens and how your nervous system may have learned that stillness is unsafe.
We cover:
If you have ever struggled to slow down, shut your brain off, or simply be still, this video will help you understand why.

Most high performers assume their biggest problem is pressure—too many responsibilities, too many expectations, too many decisions. But pressure isn't the root. It's a symptom.
The real issue? Three psychological traps running beneath conscious awareness: conditional love (achievement = acceptance), perfectionism as armor (flawlessness = safety from rejection), and fear-based motivation (striving to avoid threat, not move toward purpose). These traps don't just create stress—they create an internal war between the version of you that wants to build and lead, and the version protecting you from shame, criticism, and being fully seen.
This episode traces how childhood conditioning, trauma, and nervous system wiring make success feel necessary for survival—and why no amount of external achievement will ever resolve the internal conflict. You'll learn why wins feel empty, why you can't slow down, why perfectionism exhausts you, and what it actually takes to separate your identity from your performance.
In this episode:
If these patterns sound familiar, you don't have to spend years managing symptoms. The Root Protocol diagnoses the internal operating system in one session and corrects it in five. Most executives I work with see measurable shifts in weeks, not years.

Most executives think their biggest leadership risk is making the wrong decision.
I'm going to show you something more dangerous — and far more subtle.
When you adjust who you are depending on who's in the room, you think you're being adaptive. Emotionally intelligent. Strategic.
But underneath that adaptability is usually something else: people-pleasing, approval dependence, or what the Bible calls "fear of man."
And here's the part most leaders miss — this pattern didn't start in the boardroom. It started in your childhood. In family systems where your job was to read the room, regulate everyone's emotions, and keep things stable. Your nervous system learned to monitor, adjust, and appease to stay safe.
The problem? That conditioning keeps running long after the original environment is gone.
In this episode, I walk you through:
If you've ever stayed quiet in a meeting because you were managing how someone might react — not because the idea needed more thought — this one's for you.

Persistent self-doubt in high performers isn't a confidence problem. It's a protection mechanism — built early, running quietly — designed to prevent one thing: shame exposure.
Stacking wins doesn't fix it because every achievement gets processed by the same architecture producing the doubt. The system doesn't update based on evidence. It updates based on identity.
This episode breaks down why the doubt survives every win, what's actually generating it, and the only move that changes it.

Many high performers mistake perfectionism for discipline or high standards, but it often implicitly harms execution, relationships, and peak performance.
They frame perfectionism as a protective coping mechanism formed in childhood to avoid rejection and, underneath that, shame—creating an all-or-nothing belief that “flawless work equals safety.” Common signs include overpreparing, excessive double-checking, delaying decisions for more information, avoidance, and endless refinement, often paired with low self-esteem and hypervigilance.
Liz explains how repeated criticism or humiliation wires the brain to associate mistakes with shame, reinforcing fear-based, avoidant behavior that slows speed, collapses risk tolerance, and makes satisfaction impossible.
The proposed shift is separating identity from human approval, redefining failure as data, and choosing stewardship-based questions; a diagnostic test is whether decision delay is about strategy or avoiding criticism and rejection.

It's never enough for you? Have you heard that before!
In this episode, Liz explains why many high performers feel disappointed or quickly move on after achieving goals, minimizing, dismissing, or moving the goalposts so wins never psychologically register.
She argues this pattern is not ambition but childhood programming rooted in emotional neglect, where attention and validation were inconsistent or conditional, leading to “performance love” and a belief that achievement equals acceptance and failure equals disconnection.
Over time, success becomes tied to survival, the nervous system stays on high alert, and celebration feels dangerous, creating chronic emptiness, escalating comparison, jealousy/envy, and resentment when others succeed.
The proposed shift is separating identity from performance, reframing wins as progress and losses as feedback, practicing unconditional love and radical acceptance, and adopting a stewardship mindset, including doing work for God rather than for human approval; the speaker also invites viewers to apply for one-on-one coaching.

Ever close a major deal and feel nothing — just "what's next?" That's not discipline. That's an identity war. In this video, I break down the neurological pattern running inside high-performing executives and founders that turns every win into a new target, why achievement never feels like enough, and the three hidden drivers keeping the cycle locked in place — perfectionism, validation-seeking, and fear-based motivation.
Two operating systems are running in your brain simultaneously — one says build, lead, execute. The other says protect, hide, don't fall behind. Every switch between them burns bandwidth you could be directing toward strategy, leadership, and vision. This is clinical, diagnostic, and built specifically for C-suite operators, founders, and senior executives who are performing at the top externally and fighting a war internally.

Are you aware that not understanding your patterns could be sabotaging your success? How can knowing your blindspots provide the leverage you need for career growth? Could understanding these aspects be the key to achieving high performance in your professional journey?
Liz, an executive performance coach, explains that high performers often sabotage their growth due to pattherns they can't see. They build careers on blind spots that surface under pressure, not when things are stable, and that leaders frequently misdiagnose external symptoms instead of the underlying “pattern architecture.” He defines patterns as a trigger–interpretation–emotional/thought activation–behavior strategy loop, using revenue dips as an example where threat perception activates the amygdala, reduces prefrontal functioning, and drives overcontrol or panic. He distinguishes self-awareness from metacognition, contrasts behavior modification with identity repair (schema-level reconstruction), and connects biblical concepts (guarding the heart, renewing the mind, taking thoughts captive) to cognitive restructuring. The episode offers a diagnostic exercise to identify emotional spikes, interpretive meaning, coping strategies, and threatened needs, plus regulation tools like paced breathing and precise emotion labeling, while emphasizing that regulation creates access but identity repair creates lasting change.

You're capable. You've proven it. So why do you snap at your team before a big meeting, freeze on a decision you could make in your sleep, or procrastinate on the one thing that would actually move the needle?
This episode breaks down what's actually happening — and it's not imposter syndrome. It's not a confidence problem either. It's your threat system running a program it learned in childhood, one that quietly equates your performance with your worth, your safety, your belonging.
Liz walks through how that program gets wired in, why willpower and positive thinking can't override it once your amygdala is activated, and the three-step protocol to actually fix it at the root: separating your identity from your outcomes, retraining your nervous system through graduated exposure, and for Christians, grounding your worth in the theological realities of justification and adoption — so you stop performing for approval and start operating from rest.
This is the work that changes how you show up when it matters most.

Most Christian marriages fail not from lack of love—but from lack of this.
It's not communication. It's not date nights. It's not even prayer together.
It's differentiation—and Jesus modeled it perfectly.
In this episode, I'm exposing the hidden pattern destroying intimacy, passion, and honesty in Christian marriages. You'll learn why "becoming one flesh" doesn't mean losing yourself, how emotional fusion creates dead bedrooms and resentment, and what the Bible actually teaches about mature love.
If you walk on eggshells, carry your spouse's emotions, or feel like roommates—this changes everything.

In this episode, I walk through 17 thinking traps (cognitive distortions) Christians commonly fall into without realizing it — and explain how these patterns reveal what we are functionally trusting to save us.
Using Hebrews 4:12 as the framework, this teaching applies Scripture surgically, separating soul from spirit to expose where Jesus has become the means to a savior rather than the Savior Himself.
I explain:
Each of the 17 thinking traps is defined, then applied to real Christian thought patterns — toward God, toward self, and toward others — to help identify where trust has subtly shifted away from Christ.
This episode is not about condemnation or questioning salvation.
It’s about awareness, discipleship, and returning Jesus to the center of trust.

Why does nothing feel like enough?
You did everything right. You chose well. You married a good man or woman. You built community. You sought God. You healed. You showed up.
And yet… something still aches.
Not because you're ungrateful.
Not because you chose wrong.
Not because your faith is weak.
But because you were made for something this world can't give you.
In this episode, I'm talking about the disillusionment no one prepares you for—the moment you realize that even Jesus doesn't make the longing stop the way you thought He would. Not because He's insufficient, but because you were made for unmediated communion with God, and right now, you're experiencing Him through mediation.
This isn't cynicism. It's clarity.
And if you've ever felt like something's missing even when everything looks right… this is for you.
What we cover:
This episode is for you if:
You're not broken. You're human.
And this conversation might be the permission you didn't know you needed.

Most relationship breakdowns don’t happen because of conflict — they happen because one person collapses, overfunctions, or silences themselves to keep the relationship comfortable.
That is a failure of differentiation.
In this episode, we explore what differentiation actually is, why it is essential for healthy marriage and relationships, and how Scripture consistently addresses the dangers of self-abandonment, emotional imbalance, and false peace.
You’ll learn:
This episode is not about blame, dominance, or emotional withdrawal.
It’s about learning how to love without disappearing.
If you’ve ever felt like honesty costs you connection, this conversation is for you.
I didn't realize this didn't get released on the right date due to a tech issue.

Do You Want Freedom — Or Control?
Most people say they want freedom. What they actually want is control — over pain, over outcomes, over how close anything gets.
And they've been confusing the two their entire lives.
In this episode, I expose the illusion keeping high-performers trapped: the belief that control equals safety. Because here's what your nervous system won't tell you — you never controlled those outcomes. You only controlled your proximity to pain.
And your brain has been confusing the two ever since.
In this episode, you'll learn:
This is psychology + neuroscience + Scripture — no fluff, no spiritual bypassing, just surgical precision on the pattern controlling your leadership, relationships, and internal peace.
If this lands, it's because the issue was never money, marriage, or success. It was the illusion of control masquerading as safety.

The personal development world has convinced you that success depends on optimization, self-improvement, and becoming the “best version of yourself.”
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Self-improvement can easily become self-worship.
And when it does, it pulls you into mixture — a blend of ambition, ego, and self-reliance that leaves you spiritually exhausted and disconnected from God.
In today’s episode, we take a sharp, honest look at how to grow without drifting away from Christ. If you love personal development but hate the emptiness and pressure it brings, this will hit home.
You’ll learn:
✅ The difference between self-help growth and God-centered transformation
✅ Why success without surrender will never satisfy you (Matthew 16:25)
✅ How to align your goals and ambitions with God’s purpose (Matthew 6:33)
✅ What Scripture actually teaches about discipline + training (1 Corinthians 9:24–27)
✅ The one mindset shift that turns growth into worship, not willpower
This is not a motivational message.
It’s a biblical recalibration — helping you think clearer, grow deeper, and pursue maturity without slipping into worldly striving.
📖 Key Verse:
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6
💬 Reflection Question:
What’s one area of personal development God is asking you to surrender?

5 Powerful Tools to Stay Present & Authentic at Work (Especially When You’ve Been Through Hell)
Follow Along — Download the Questions & Tools:

Most believers don’t struggle at work because they’re unqualified.
They struggle because their nervous system is still reacting to old battles while they’re standing in new rooms — and no one ever trained them how to stay present without abandoning themselves.
In this episode, we go straight into the real battle:
Why your mind drifts, why you disconnect, and why certain environments trigger old strongholds — even when you love Jesus and are leading at a high level.
I give you five Kingdom-rooted tools to stay grounded, clear, and authentic when pressure hits.
You’ll learn how trauma, personality wiring, spiritual roots, and performance pressure all collide — and how to anchor yourself in truth so you can show up as the heavenly-class version of you, not the triggered version.
This is deep, biblical, and fully practical — the kind of spiritual maturity training your audience expects from you.

Last week, on the way to a massage, a random country song triggered a revelation that hit me like a ton of bricks:
“Thank You, God, that every man who broke my heart… did.
Because it meant I got to become his wife.”
In this vulnerable, long-form episode, I’m sharing:
We’ll also zoom out beyond romantic heartbreak to talk about any disappointment that feels like “God let me down” — and I’ll challenge you to ask:
What if the thing you’re angry at God about today is the thing you’ll thank Him for five years from now?
If you want help understanding your emotions and what’s actually happening inside of you — the real roots, patterns, and reasons you react the way you do — that’s exactly why I created Navigating Emotions The Jesus Way.
It’s not coping. It’s not positive thinking.

Why are you so disciplined at work, but lose control at night?
That was my wake-up call recently. During the day, I’m structured, focused, and disciplined. But at night — especially when I’m alone — I realized I was using food to self-soothe, distract, and even entertain myself.
And here’s what God showed me:
It’s not a willpower problem. It’s an identity problem.
In this message, I share:
✅ How trauma shaped the way I viewed rest and why rest felt unsafe
✅ Why “work you” has structure, but “off-work you” feels undefined or lost
✅ How denial and self-soothing creep in at night (food, scrolling, drinking, etc.)
✅ The revelation God gave me about building an “off-work identity in Christ”
This isn’t about shame or more self-control. It’s about asking God: Who am I when the workday ends?

Is free will actually free—or just an illusion we’ve baptized in Christian language?
In this episode, we explore the tension between divine sovereignty and human choice. From Genesis 20 to Proverbs 21, you'll discover that God’s involvement in your life runs deeper than you think. This isn’t fatalism—it’s freedom with a boundary line. And if you’re His, you’re not just guided… you’re protected from yourself.

In this episode, I explore how achieving your goals is similar to a word search. Just as you need focus and clarity to find the right words in the puzzle, God calls us to focus on the goals He has set before us. Love is defined as having a deep relationship with God and reflecting His unconditional and perfect love. It involves loving unconditionally, being patient, kind, and trusting. Love is a choice and a mindset that can be cultivated through renewing the mind and allowing God to work within. Operating from a place of love releases hormones that promote well-being and rewire the brain for positivity. Love is shown through actions such as listening, helping, encouraging, and meeting the needs of others. Ultimately, love is the answer to everything because God is love.

Today's episode discusses the challenge of maintaining focus on Jesus' peace amidst the uncertainties and worries of the modern world. With recent global events and the rapidly changing landscape, Liz addresses the Fear of the Unknown or Fear of Tomorrow, emphasizing its detrimental effects on one's well-being.
Drawing on Matthew 6:25-34, today's episode encourages listeners to trust in God's provision and highlights the distinction between healthy concern and debilitating worry. It emphasizes the importance of seeking the Kingdom of God and living righteously, as opposed to letting concerns about food, clothing, or the future dominate one's thoughts.
Liz delves into the dual temptation of worry, where distrust in God's promises and agreement with fear are set in motion. It underlines the deceptive nature of worry, which can lead to double-mindedness and inadvertently trusting the devil over God.
A significant point is made about redirecting focus from worrying about personal needs to serving others, being patient, and placing life in God's hands. Today's epi emphasizes that worry has no place in the lives of Jesus' disciples, contrasting their priorities with those of unbelievers.
The conclusion encourages listeners to see worrying as an opportunity to reassess life priorities and align them with kingdom principles. Liz encourages seeking God's sovereignty, living according to His requirements, and maintaining loyalty and commitment to the Father. It concludes with a reminder to stay present, focusing on today's matters and entrusting tomorrow to God through prayer.

Doubt is a tactic used by the devil to challenge our convictions and make us question our beliefs. However, we can overcome doubt by trusting in God's word and having confidence in ourselves. Faith is the key to pleasing God and achieving the impossible. Doubt can be a starting point for confessing our weaknesses and growing in faith. It is important to match our actions with our faith and trust that God will work everything together for our good. We should never doubt God's desire and ability to help us, our salvation, the power within us, our future, and His promises.
Listen to this episode to break up with doubt God's way!

Doubt has a destructive power that can impact our lives more than failure or negative thinking. It keeps us in a state of uncertainty, preventing decisive action and personal growth. Doubt breeds self-doubt and creates a cycle of uncertainty and self-sabotage. To overcome doubt, we must confront negative thoughts, believe in ourselves, plan for the best-case scenario, embrace a mindset of certainty, and surround ourselves with a supportive network. Trusting in God and having a strong support system are also crucial in overcoming doubt.

To drive this point home, we can refer to Jeremiah 45:5, where Baruch yearns for more despite God having already saved him. It is crucial to note that excessive recognition can result in individuals trying to please others and becoming overly dependent on their validation. This, in turn, can lead to prioritizing others' opinions over those of God. It will also hinder your leadership capabilities ... listen to find out.

We are talking about the 2nd holy characteristic that you must be intentional with to grow your faith and belief in Christ. Remember, only a handful of things are in your control to increase your faith. The rest is up to God. But God searches the entire world for the person who loves the Lord with all their mind, heart, and soul. Are you ready to grow in Christ?
Action Plan:
1. Create your time with God. Identity and even play around with the best times to spend uninterrupted time with God.
Find the book in the bible you are going to read. Read a chapter a day.
implement what you are learning by intentionally choosing what to start doing. Mentally rehearse this too.
The next 7 episodes explore 2 Peter 1:3-11 where Peter tells us 7 characteristics we need to add to our faith. This episode explores the first characteristic -- adding virtue to your faith. In this episode, I unpack what that means and what you can do, PLUS I leave you with an action plan!
Action Plan:
1. Pray, asking God where you can work alongside him more diligently!
2. Where is your lifestyle not mirroring that of Christ?
3. Where is your mindset not mirroring that of Christ?
4. Where are you being ungodly in your job or profession or maybe your relationships?
a. If you are brave enough and love God and are ready to take this step, I encourage you to do what David asked God to do:
i. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. (Psalm 139:23)
