This is the first little mini mix with the new studio setup and I wanted to try something a little different. Trying to get back in the groove so just knocking the dust off. No pre-recorded sets here! All on the fly!

This is a visualizer I made using Renderforest from a song that I recording using the Novation Launchpad application on the iPad. It's a great application for messing around on the go.
The song is using the Power section of the Danger Zone soundpack on the Launchpad app. What is great about this app is that I can use anything I make from it as a release. You can even add your own samples as well from your computer.

Part of the life of a nomad is finding things to keep you entertained when it's cold and raining and you can't go outside. So what does a nomadic DJ do? Pulls our the portable Numark PT01 Scratch turntable, and the iPad and rocks a jam!
Playing with some fun little hip hop beats using the Novation Launchpad application on my iPad and using the 7 inch Baby Super Seal 4 from DJ QBert to cut it up! I was trying to keep the recordings around 4-5 minutes, but this one kept going, lol. Instead of stopping, I accidentally went into the next beat, lol, so what the hell, gotta go where the groove takes you!

This is the official visualizer video I made up using Renderforest.com which is a really cool site for making videos and different designs. Hello my music lovers! This track is something I started working on over the holidays while I was in the Florida Keys, actually on Christmas day. I was alone in the house and it started raining pretty hard and it sounded so soothing coming down and hitting all the metal tables and fencing outside. I took the opportunity to make a recording, intending on using it for a relaxation tune, but it ended up turning into a lofi hip hop track!
I plan on using this as a backing track for some scratching so it's written with that in mind. Could also be used for some vocals or a good hook, but, it may also stay clean and 'lofi'.
The track was created in Logic Pro X on a Mac using that rain recording and other samples from the LPX sample library. These samples are legal to use in recordings that I release, but you just cannot use them individually and sell them as a sample pack. So what came together that day is what we have currently.
This is a Work In Progress and is posted as a Proof of Production on the Hive blockchain, think of it as a copyright of sorts. This video is a @threespeak on Hive exclusive posting! So make sure you give me a follow if you want more music content, cause I have a lot coming over the next year!

Happy New Year to my Hive bass heads! This is a Drum and Bass DJ mix that I did while traveling on an airplane over the holidays and thought it would be fun to share! I did take the picture from my window seat that is used in the cover image! It was a cloudy day... Added to the delays on top of Southwest Airlines basically shutting down and overloading everyone else, lol, that's a whole storey, haha, but I was flying American, so I was safe, just delayed...ANYWAY...
I did this mix on the iPad using the Traktor DJ appliation. I did not have my Traktor Z1 Kontrol mixer with me, so some of the mixes may not be as smooth as I would like, but hey, it was something to do on a long flight! I know the 2 little ladies next to me were entertained by my motions, lol. I was over-caffinated and jamming out, lol.
I have played many of these tracks in mixes before, just neve in this order. This was a playlist I had downloaded previously and was all I had available, you know airplane mode and all, lol.

This song, 'Long Gone', is far too long in the making! It's another one that I dug up off the old hard drive and brought back to life. This song was originally created in my time working for Apple and living in the Florida Keys. Since I am currently back here for the end of the year for some family stuff, I figured it was fitting to release this track in the last week of 2022! After this year, that's about how I feel is long gone, haha, so it felt fitting! Plus I am just ready to get it out there and move on to some of my newer content!

This track is created in Logic Pro X on Mac which is my DAW of choice, actually I am an Apple certified trainer and engineer on this particular piece of software.
This track will be released in the next week using the @blocktunes Release Service and will be distributed world wide as well as will have NFTs on Hive and a special access NFT on Polygon.

Hello everyone! I have been on a LoFi Hip Hop kick lately, as you can tell if you have been following me for a minute. I like it because it is chill and groovy and you can really listen to it for just about any occasion.
This track is called Abstract Ambition. It is produced at 80 BPM and tuned to 432.2 Hz which is the healing frequency. I like to do this to subliminally make you feel good inside! Do the research, sound frequency healing is a thing, haha.
This track will be released on @blocktunes and the mainstream music sites soon along with a couple of other LoFi tracks I have been working on! The collection, LoFi Logic, will be released in multiple volumes with at least 2-3 tracks in each volume.

Hey everyone, I am back with another work in progress that is a Hive and 3Speak exclusive!
This time it is a LoFi Hip Hop instrumental track that I am going to pair up with another similar styled track and release on BlockTunes!
I use the drummer tool to create the beats. It's an amazing tool to use, especially if you are not very rythmically inclined, lol. I also use a mix of software instruments and samples that I show you the builds in the editor. I then do a quick walkthrough of the mixer.
I will of course be fine tuning and working on this track over the next couple of weeks getting it an the other track ready for release!
With these tracks I will be selling a package on BlockTunes that will include stem files which will allow you to remix the track yourself. Also will be selling it with an NFT that will give the holder royalty free rights to use the tracks! And for those that use Logic Pro X on a Mac... Yep, I'll be including the full project files!
I will be hosting a remix contest on BlockTunes in which the top remixes will be included on an upcoming 'Groove Logic- Remixed' Album. So be on the lookout for more information on that coming soon!

Hello everyone! I am back with yet another release from the old treasure trove of unfinished projects. This one, has been in the works, and was actually created during my time working at Apple and I used it as a training track for other advisors that worked in the media area to show them how they can create a song all from the tools built into Logic Pro X.
Well, I am dusting it off and releasing it to the world throught @blocktunes. This release is going to be a bit special! I am going to release it normally, but we are also going to have an NFT package that will allow people to purchase the song and the stem files so they can remix it! We will be having a remix contest for this song and releasing the remixed tracks as a separate release.
This video will be used for copyright purposes, a sort of proof of production type of thing, and minted as an NFT on the BlockTunes Creator Copyright collection!

This track has been in the works for quite some time and I am happy to finally get it finished and ready to share with the world!
I am releasing this using BlockTunes full music distribution service which will get the release on the major mainstream platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube Music and more! I think we are also looking to expand to Beatport as well, but not too sure just yet.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the preview that I recorded from the mastering session. This is also the video I am going to use to mint the Creator Copyright NFT on BlockTunes to solidify that I am the true owner and artist of this song! No better way than to show the track being mastered in Logic Pro X!

Hello everyone! I am back in the studio and wanted to share a little hip hop beat I started last night. What you have here is after about 2 hours worth of arranging and base mixing. I am using Logic Pro X on the mac and I have been wanting to mess around with my own hip hop instrumentals for a while for my scratching videos and such and even to release on @blocktunes. This is still a work in progress.
This song is made up of the drummer tool and then a combination of different samples from the LPX library. The drummer tool on LPX is a really cool way to create drum beats, especially if you are not a drummer, lol. I set up a loop and then I start going through differnt beats and setups using the drummer tool until I come up with the sound I am looking for. Then I went through and found my bass line, melodic samples, and then effects. Once I find the sample combinations I am looking for in the vast LPX sample library, I then start the arrangement.
Once I find an arrangement I like I then go and start working on the mix a bit to get the levels I am looking for and then I can come back later on and do some fine tuning, then bounce out for mastering.
This is a way I can make quick tracks that I can use for backing tracks, and if they are good enough, put them out for release on the major channels as well as Blocktunes.net. We have a plan for a producer's corner kind of thing where we will have producer samples, DJ loops, and instrumental tracks like this!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I have had a chance to play a full on hour set, or close to it at least.
I am hanging out house sitting for my sister and decided to set up and have a good jam session.
I dug into some psytrance crates I haven't played in a while, but I did my best to make them sound good! Had one pretty solid mishap, which shows you that even using Traktor DJ on the iPad and the Z1 controller, you can still goof up, lol. It also helps if the track is produced correctly, lol.
I decided a little over half way through to shift into some drum and bass to finish it out and did a super smooth tempo change.

Happy 420 everyone! It's kind of fitting too that this is my 20th music video on @threespeak!
Today I am celebrating the day with some gorilla glue 4 and some cookies and cream dabs, and decided to get out the iPad and mess around with a little mix.
I am mashing up DJ Aphrodite's remixes of N.W.A's Dopeman, which I used to have this as a white label on vinyl back in the old school days, and the other track is his remix of I Got 5 On It.
Today I am using Traktor DJ on the iPad by Native Instruments. I have a physical mixer/controller for it, but was too high and lazy to pull it out and hook that all up so I messed around with the bare iPad, so the cross fader cuts aren't as smooth as I like and I didn't have the same EQ controls... I am old school and like a physical feel, but didn't do too bad IMO all things considering!
Anyway, enjoy the mashup, I had fun making it!

The song is call Endless Streets. It is an instrumental drum and bass track that I produced in Logic Pro X. It is set at 174 BPM, or beats per minute, so it's a fast paced one as most drum and bass tracks are. It is also tuned to 432hz which is a healing frequency, so not only are you getting some good vibes, but those vibes can actually do you some good! It's science, look it up, lol.
This is a pre master sneak peak, so it is still a bit of a work in progress, but almost ready for final mix down then onto the mastering chain!

Today I did something a bit different. I recorded the backing beat track using Novation Launchpad on my iPod and then used the recording to scratch on. You are listening to the set the whole time, just cuts in and out of some cool B roll!

I have been traveling around a bit and found myself on the Pacific coast and just had to bring you guys a session!
So I walked out to the jetties and found a rock to park it on and set up the portable 7 inch Numart PT01 Scratch turntable. I have an iPod attached to it that I am using to run the beats on. I am using the Novation Launchpad application rocking the Summer Sands sound pack. This one felt right for the atmosphere!

Hello everyone! This is a little set using the Spectral Reggaeton soundpack from the Novation Launchpad application on iOS. I open up with a little explanation on what my plans are with these videos.
I have a goal of getting 3 videos out per week. The first, like tonight will be the layout and backing beats for what will be the 2nd video of the week, which will be a Nomadic DJ scratch video! I will be using the audio from this recording as the backing track and scratch over it. The third video will be at least a half hour if not a full hour DJ set on Saturdays. Hopefully in the future I can expand into a full on radio program featuring songs from the new @blocktunes community!
