Fasting is another part of your walk with Christ. In Mattew 6:16-18; 9:14,15, it is implied that all followers of Christ should fast at some point. Some Christians believe that God does not require or demand us to fast, but I believe that he expects it of us. It is also evident that fasting helps us to focus on Him. This week is Holy Week in preparation for Resurrection weekend, and what many call "Easter". In the Christian community this is usually a time of fasting, prayer, and repentance.
