Join me in today's episode where we continue our discussion on codependency. As humans we require connection, we are hardwired to be in connection with one another. Connection is what gives us purpose and meaning. It's been proven that social connection biologically can lower anxiety, depression, help us regulate our emotions, lead to higher self-esteem, empathy, and improve our immune systems. The problem is codependency creates an environment where you cannot be authentically YOU, which in turn means you can never truly be SEEN. Being fully SEEN requires vulnerability, and vulnerability can make us feel exposed, uncomfortable, and fearful. If you cannot push past those hard feelings you will never truly feel connected and SEEN.

Join me in today's episode where we discussed codependency. What does someone do after they leave their religion and their marriage of 14 years.... Joins dating apps of course. In this episode we discuss how I discovered I was codependent through dating apps. After pastoring for more than 15 years and being married for 14 of those years I can confidently say that I never really knew what codependency was until my life began to unravel. Now divorced, and a year into my healing journey I can see that I have lived most of my life in a constant state of various trauma responses codependency being one of them.

I believe busy is the drug to the traumatized. What happens when the busy stops? Well everything spins off the axis that's what! Today's episode is on how the pandemic slowed everything down and forced us to reevaluate things in our lives. We had to start asking ourselves hard questions about our workplaces, our friendships, our families and our own relationships. Many of us woke up to the reality that we no longer could keep going...so the unraveling began. Lean how to pull those threads and release the things that no longer serve you.

Stuck in unhealthy thoughts, stuck in unhealthy relationships or in jobs we don't like. Stuck in cycles that we don't know how to change. Join me as we journey towards getting UNSTUCK.
