And we are super excited to have you on the kit. FTD, thank you so much for taking time. I know you are a very busy man to briefly introduce me as a serial entrepreneur who started doing odd jobs like washing cars, gardening, delivering pizzas at a very young age. He's a son of an immigrant who was exposed to hard work, but not a lot of structures and systems.
He's a realtor who got into flipping the homes and also ventured out to have good stores of his own while working with his dad and elder brother. While working on all of these, he continued to how his MBA from the University of California grew a large real estate sales business that did 300 million in sales work done. Opening a trending franchise store of Oscar strong, spent an year traveling the world as a Tony Robbins platinum partner.
B Real is his podcast, and he lives to be real in life as well. With that Let's welcome Deol to Korea three. Another crime. How are you doing?

Devakumar Sai Chinthala
Thank you so much. Before we start on our show, could you navigate us through your journey for our audience?
Vikram Deol
Where do you want me to start out?
Devakumar Sai Chinthala
Wherever you want to start.
Vikram Deol
I mean, there's a lot of journey, so I don't know where you want to begin.
Bharat Ramesh
How about related to career and anything related to that field?
Vikram Deol
My first kind of entrepreneurial journey was fourth grade when my parents said that they wouldn't buy us a Sega genesis for the house, they said, We don't believe in you guys needing more video games. And at that particular time, the school was doing a jog a thon. And I said, Okay, well, let me take a look at what the prizes are.
And the top prize was the Sega Genesis. And you had to raise, I think, $4,000. 30 $500 As a fourth grader back in I won't say my age, but a few days ago, at least more than ten years And so what is that? Fourth grade is like eight, nine years old, ten years old, something like that. Something around 30 years ago.
So that that'd be equivalent to raising ten or $12,000 today. And I said, you know what, I'm going to do it. And I went to the neighbor's houses. I knocked on the doors, and that was my first time. I mean, you know, we always helped our grandparents on their farm, but that was like the first time or I set a goal and I accomplished it.
And from there, you know, like you said, I've always been entrepreneurial. When I was a kid, I asked my dad about how much money he would make a day when he would come home the first time. How much money do you make? How much money you make? Like, how are you doing? How much money did you make? Like as a little kid, you know, hanging off your dad's legs and he's walking through the door.
My name is Devakumar Sai Chinthala; I go by Sai Chinthala. Welcome to Career Theory.
To begin with, I am a dad and a husband working full-time in my career with an entrepreneurial spirit.
I have been working in information technology for about 2 decades building software.
When I was a kid, I always wanted to see the wonders of the world by traveling to different places. As I was growing up, I am blessed with opportunities to visit different places which filled my soul. I have always wanted to be a leader and leadership always excites me. However, I did not know that there is a structure and there are systems that I can leverage. I created these virtual walls based on where I was born, how I was raised, and what I got exposed to.
I lived a happy life and continued a successful career without even realizing what I was missing out on. In the last few years, when I reflected on myself and my progression, there was a change. A change towards progress, a shift towards growth. I made more money than I could make in the past; I am offered more opportunities. I am surrounded by wonderful people.
Upon a deep dive, I recognized that it was all because of 3 things that I was doing consistently,
I was working with brilliant coaches who thought me leadership & helped me with breaking my communication blocks and rewiring myself to see my potential.
I have actively applied the knowledge I learned by taking action with the help of systems and structures.
Reflecting on what I was doing and making a journal in a way that I can re-use it.
Combining these 3 actions helped me come out of my comfort zone.
I love the philosophy of “Connect the dots” if you imagine a career as a dot and personal development as another dot, career theory is to help connect these dots. Not only these 2 dots, but you will also discover a lot more during the journey. I am so excited with the idea of helping many more by bringing in guests like celebrities in the industry and guests who are crushing in their careers without stardom with the help of personal development. A career is an area in our life, where we spend most of our waking hours and personal development is a tool that can help us elevate in life.
During my 2 decades of working in corporate, every time I encounter someone who is growing in their career in a short timeframe, it made me curious with a question, “what is it that they are doing differently” to grow in their career. A career could be employment or starting a business in a niche area. When I spent time learning from these superstars, I recognized patterns in their growth curves. It all starts with personal growth. This is a light bulb moment for me. I want to bring these tricks, tips & methods to the world, especially to those who are investing a lot of their hours in career growth.
That is how the idea of “Career Theory” sprouted. I am joined by my good friend and co-host “Bharat Ramesh”. With both of us joining hands, we will bring incredible value to our audience.
Our goal is to provide value to our audience, who are working in their careers or business without even realizing growth in employment or business does not come from working more hours. It is realized by investing in yourself and personal development.
