मेयार अहमद कमाल हाशमी द्वारा लिखित एक उर्दू लघु कहानी है। यह कहानी एक ऐसे परिवार की है जिसकी बड़ी बेटी घर बैठे-बैठे बूढ़ी हो रही है। दूसरी ओर, परिवार के सदस्य जाति, रंग और नस्ल की तलाश में व्यस्त हैं। यह हमारे समाज में व्याप्त पूर्वाग्रहों को उजागर करता है जो विवाह के समय और भी गंभीर हो जाते हैं। रंग, वर्ग, जाति, बिरादरी और ऐसे मुद्दे कई लोगों के लिए बाधा बन जाते हैं, और विशेष रूप से लड़कियां जो बहुत विशेषाधिकार प्राप्त समुदायों से नहीं आती हैं, वे शिकार बनती हैं।

Meyaar

Meyaar is an Urdu short story written by Ahmed Kamal Hashmi. This story is about a family whose elder daughter is getting old sitting at home; on the other hand, the family members are busy looking for caste, colour, and race. It highlights the prejudices in our society that become starker at the time of marriage. Complexion, class, caste, Biradri, and such issues become hurdles for many, and particularly girls who do not come from very privileged communities become its victims.

This short awareness campaign describes Kolkata as a vibrant city where plastic pollution has become a serious threat.

The campaign promotes the three R’s to fight plastic pollution: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. By using the process of the three R’s, people can help to keep Kolkata beautiful. It concludes with a call to action to protect Kolkata and fight plastic pollution.

The whole world has been suffering from coronavirus since last year. So far no medicine has been found for this disease but at present time several countries of the world including India have been able to invent a vaccine to prevent this disease. According to the WHO, it is important for everyone to get the vaccine as soon as possible, but there are a number of problems people face when it comes to getting the vaccine, primarily its shortage. These issues have been reviewed in this podcast.

The cases of Coronavirus infections have risen again in Bangladesh. What makes it more worrying is that only 3 percent of people have been vaccinated so far. As India stopped the supply of the vaccine assured earlier, Bangladesh is in talks with Russia and China for vaccines.
