I was asked how to keep on topic in a meeting. She said “I’ve been on a few committees where it didn’t matter, someone always veered off topic and the group had to be steered back.”
Keep your meeting extremely formal
Regularly review your committee charge
Set an agenda
Know how to get back on track
Have your members check in with where they are before the meeting starts
Know your committee
