-The DNC is this week, and part of their promotion is "Free abortions." We will look from a Christian perspective at why this is such a horrifying reality.
Kamala Harris has begun discussing some of her economic proposals to try to bring relief to a population still reeling from inflation. However, many on both sides of the aisle have seen the similarities between her proposals and other ideas throughout history that ended in disaster!
-Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee finally released its findings on potential corruption with Joe Biden and his family. The findings, if true, are damning and could lead to an impeachment attempt.
-All that AND ONE look at Candace Owens. Lately, the conservative media sensation has been dabbling in conspiratorial musings that have many concerned and, maybe more critically, many excited! Let's see what might be behind this new trend.

-With Joe out, Kamala Harris quickly collected the delegates necessary to become the Democrat’s new nominee. Throughout their administration, Kamala polled as the least popular VP in modern history. When running for president in 2020, she dropped out before her home state. As Biden’s “Border Czar,” she oversaw the worst border crisis in history. However, all of that seems to be memory-holed as the Mainstream Media seeks to rewrite history.
-Trump is being pressured internally to run a very different campaign against Kamala than he was running against Joe. With a background of questionable remarks about women, the last thing Republicans need is to give Harris ammunition to call Trump sexist or misogynistic. Unsurprisingly, Trump does not seem excited to heed wise counsel. How will this dynamic shape the race going forward?
-Meanwhile, Elon Musk went on record to call himself a “cultural Christian.” He joins a growing number of thinkers and influencers who now claim the worldview and ethics of Jesus without accepting the person and work of Jesus himself. What does this trend signal, and is it a net positive or net negative for the Gospel?
-All that AND ONE look at the Olympics opening ceremony that has stirred massive controversy! The Olympic committee gave a half-hearted apology that did nothing to swell the uproar over what appeared to be a mockery of the Last Supper of Christ. As believers, how should we engage with public blasphemy of this sort?

There is only one story to talk about. At a rally in Pennsylvania, Former President and current frontrunner Donald Trump narrowly avoided an assassination attempt. There are endless takes on this unbelievable event, but here are a few that I may have a unique take on:
-FIRST: How did we get here? How is it that political opponents increasingly see the other side as EVIL and actual THREATS to our future? And, why the new calls to “tone down the fiery rhetoric” create a catch-22 for the Lefft.
-SECOND: The bullet meant for Trump narrowly missed taking his life. If not for a slight turn of his head at the perfect time, the assassination would have been successful. Did God providentially protect Trump, as many are implying? Is that how God operates, and what would that mean?
-THIRD: Where does this leave us as a country, and how should Christians respond?
All that AND ONE look at Biden’s chances of maintaining the White House. The President’s decline has been widely covered, and the polls are certainly unfavorable. Assuming Saturday’s events bolster Trump’s ratings, what chance does Biden have of victory?

-Louisiana passed a new law requiring the 10 commandments to be displayed in every publicly funded classroom. Many have come out in opposition to this measure, while Christians and conservatives celebrate the decision. Where should we land as Jesus’ followers?
-Several videos went viral of President Biden seemingly freezing up or looking lost at public events. While Republicans are quick to call this senility, the White House has labeled the videos “Cheap Fakes” and told the public not to believe their eyes. What bigger issue does this bring to the conversation this election season?
-Megachurch pastor Robert Morris resigned this week after allegations of his abuse of a minor came to light. The incident from 30+ years ago came up when the victim spoke out and shared her story. What sobering realities does this story teach us about sin, consequence, and redemption?
-All that and one look at my experience attending the record-breaking George Strait concert In College Station called “The King at Kyle Field.” I joined 110,904 other people listening to all of The Texas Troubador’s biggest hits. However, more than just an amazing concert, I left with a perspective I thought may be worth sharing!

Other players seem less than receptive to the league’s new “golden child,” and political pundits are blaming Clark’s “white privilege” and “pretty privilege.” Is Caitlin the best thing to happen to the WNBA or a highlight of its systemic issues?
-Donald Trump’s New York case began to unravel as his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, took the stand. In testimony, he admitted that he stole from the Trump organization in a shocking turn that makes the star witness guilty of a crime significantly more serious than what Trump is even on trial for! What can we learn from this circus of a trial?
-Actress Julia Fox opened up about her ongoing celibacy as a form of protest against the overturning of Roe v Wade. Her stance is meant to cast dispersion on the Pro-Life movement, but did she accidentally give resounding support for it?
-And One look at A recent interview between @cosmicskeptic and @jordanbpeterson where Dr. Peterson was pressed to clarify what he actually believes about Christianity. Where the conversation landed shocked almost everyone!

-The Pope sat down for an interview with 60 minutes and claimed that humans “…are fundamentally good” and “the heart itself is good.” What did he mean by that, and does that line up with scripture?
-Rage Rituals are an up-and-coming fad that takes the concept of “rage rooms” (where you go in a room and scream while breaking things) to a new, spiritual level. The idea is that you can heal your anger through violent expression of it. However, the research points to a very different, very dangerous conclusion!
-Meanwhile, in DC, a playground catfight broke out between Majorie Taylor Greene, AOC, and Jasmine Crockett. Serious allegations like “you wear fake eyelashes,” “You have a bad-built bleach blonde body,” and “nuh-uh baby girl” wear all thrown around! What deeper truth does this reveal about the culture we are living in?
-Peacock is releasing a new documentary during Pride month called “Queer Planet.” The purpose is to show that many animals have sexual habits that lay outside the traditional sexual norms. Conservatives are up in arms about the show, but I suggest that EVERYONE should be offended by this!
-All that and one look at the commencement speech heard around the world! Harrison Butker, a traditional catholic and NFL player, spoke at Benedictine College - a Catholic university - and his speech was VERY CATHOLIC! The part that stirred the most controversy was his take on the role of men and women in the home. We will look at the scriptural precedent for his remarks and see if what he communicated lines up!

-Presidential hopeful RFK Jr. clarified his stance on two key issues, one swung drastically to the right and the other about as far as possible to the left. What explains his sudden clarity on these topics and his decision to go with them?
The Boy Scouts officially changed their name to “Scouting America,” sparking outrage from many corners of the internet. However, this change is not new—in fact, it has been years in the making. The real story might be how the Girl Scouts of America feel about the change!
-Adult Film Star Stormy Daniels took the stand in Trump’s hush-money case and filled the courtroom with salacious details of her and Trump’s romantic encounter. Many have made the point that her testimony ultimately had no bearing on the case and shouldn’t have been allowed; however, there is an even bigger issue with the whole situation that no one seems to be talking about!
And one look at the sudden rise in legacy media admitting that the COVID-19 vaccine may have risks and side effects! After years of pushing and propagandizing, the tide has now shifted, and both the New York Times and Chris Cuomo are singing a different tune. Why the sudden change, and what can we learn from this?

-Famous reformed pastor John MacArthur once again stirred controversy by claiming mental illness does not actually exist. He boldly asserts, “PTSD is not real. ADHD is not real. OCD is not real.” We will examine this hard-line stance and see why MacArthur’s suggestions are out of sync with his theological beliefs.
-College students across the country have set up massive protests calling for an end to the Israel-Hamas war. Major universities have canceled in-person education, shut down parts of campus, and some have even called on police to run interference. Where is the passion behind the protests coming from, and how should we think about the young radicals leading the charge?
President Joe Biden has a long history of sharing personal stories that, when investigated, are not true! His propensity to shoot from the hip and spin a story from his youth has become such a mainstay of his career that it often goes unnoticed. Is this a pathological problem for the aging incumbent, and what can we learn from his history?
-All that and one look at a conversation between newly converted Russell Brand and Dr. Jordan Peterson. During a podcast where both men were probing the depths of spiritual investigation, Peterson pressed on what it means to have faith. -Comedian bad boy turned spiritual guru turned podcaster Russel Brand announced he was getting baptized. This came after a viral video in January where Brand claimed Christianity. Many are questioning the legitimacy of his faith and the orthodoxy of his beliefs. We will take a close look and see where we should land on Russel’s BRAND new faith…
-In 2019, Kanye West went public with his faith in Jesus. He began hosting Sunday Services on his property and made an entire album titled “Jesus Is King.” Now, Kanye says he has some “problems with Jesus” since so many things went wrong in his life. Far from working on another Christian album, Kanye is now planning on starting an adult film studio! All this may lead you to ask, “Is Ye still a Christian?”
-The Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against a large convenience store chain named SHEETZ - alleging they have “violated federal law by denying employment to a class of job applicants because of their race. This obviously serious allegation is brought into question, though, when the next paragraph explains, “ Sheetz has maintained a longstanding practice of screening all job applicants for records of criminal conviction and then denying them employment based on those records.” We will look at what this frivolous lawsuit says about our current culture.
-And one look at the most boring viral video of all time! A TikToker named @hubs.life shares videos “normalizing the norm.” These videos show him getting ready for a steady 9-5 job, taking out the trash, working, eating lunch, and a bunch of other COMPLETELY NORMAL things! His content has caused a rift in the generations, with Millenials and Zoomers comparing his routine to a life sentence while Gen-X and Boomers applaud his consistency and hard work. Which side is seeing this clearly?!

-Taylor Swift released her long-awaited album, and, of course, loyal Swifties began combing through every line of every song! While most of the content is par for the course, some were surprised by lyrics that seem to take shots at Christians, the church, and even borderline blasphemous lyrics about God. We will break down these sections and try to figure out what is happening with Taylor’s transformation.
-Tucker Carlson joined the Joe Rogan Experience and covered a host of controversial topics. Somewhat lost in the fray was a short conversation about Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Tucker shocked Joe by defiantly claiming Evolution is probably NOT TRUE! We will investigate his claims to see if they hold water.
-Professional provocateur Andrew Tate sparked controversy with a tweet that blasted white men for not having multiple baby mommas. This, from the leader of the manosphere who has recently been pushing those same men to be stronger Christians. Inherent contradiction aside, we will look at his critique and why it resonates with so many young men today.
-All that and one look at infamous pastor Mark Driscoll getting kicked off-stage at a recent men’s conference. This strange scenario keeps developing into a stranger and stranger story. We will look at the drama and see what we can learn from it!

James and Jennifer Crumbly became the first parents in US history to be convicted of manslaughter because of a school shooting by their son. They both now face 10-15 years in prison due to not intervening to stop their son before his rampage. Is it just for parents to pay for the sins of their son? We will see what scripture has to say!
Sound Investigations went undercover in a series of meetings with Gavin O’Blennis, a contractor for both the FBI and CIA. The hidden camera caught shocking revelations, including that the intelligence agencies allegedly have a vested interest in “nudging” pro-lifers towards incriminating activity. Why would this be a good use of the agency’s time and energy, and how is this at all ethical?
Legislation is underway in Florida and the UK to try to address the massive social and psychological problems smartphones are causing minors. While the legislation has massive parental support, it still faces many obstacles! Should the government be intervening in this way, and what deeper issue does this legislation expose?

-Famous Atheist Richard Dawkins came out as a “Cultural Christian.” He does not believe in God, or Jesus, or any of the claims of Christianity - but he likes cathedrals and hymns and a society built on the Christian worldview. Does it make sense for one of the biggest critics of Christianity to complain about its demise?
-Charlamagne Tha god filled in on the daily show and let us know his thoughts on DEI policies. Conservatives were quick to celebrate his monologue as a strike against the very core of equity-based systems. However, is that REALLY what Charlamagne said? We will listen closely and find out!
-Former President Trump released his official position on what he is calling “abortion rights.” Many of his supporters were disappointed to see a more neutral approach to the issue of LIFE. Is this Trump waffling on our time’s most important issue, OR is it simply a political strategy to try and take back the White House?

-Author Coleman Hughes stopped by The View, where he was pressed on his view that race relations should take a “color blind” approach. The panelists took shots at his age and credibility and even asserted he may be a “charlatan” who is being “used as a pawn.” Is a color-blind approach the right way forward, or should race be taken into account when making public policy?
-Just in time for Holy Week, Former President Trump released an ad marketing the all-new “God Bless The USA Bible.” For only $60, you can own a King James Bible compiled with documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Is this a political stunt, a blasphemous collaboration, a good-hearted attempt to spread the Gospel, or a mix of all three?
-Speaking of Holy Week, President Biden issued a directive on Good Friday, marking March 31st as Transgender Day of Visibility. For 2024, that means Trans Day of Visibility landed directly on Easter Sunday. Predictably, Christian Twitter was incensed! What does this say about the state of our country, and how SHOULD Jesus’ followers respond to moments like this?
-Finally, in our last segment, we will take a careful, historical look at the claim of Jesus’s resurrection. For Christians, this is the moment our faith hinges on; however, somewhat ironically, it is also the event that causes skeptics the most trepidation. We will wrestle with the question: “Is it reasonable to believe in the Resurrection?”

-The United States fell out of the top 20 HAPPIEST countries for the first time, according to the annual “World Happiness Report.” While many are speculating why our happiness has declined so significantly, we will look at what I believe is the core issue!
-Squatters are setting up shop nationwide, and the homeowners are finding it almost impossible to evict them. In some cases, the property owner ends up in handcuffs for being in their own home! How is this happening in a country that upholds the right to own private property?
-Meanwhile, conservative media company The Daily Wire has come under fire after “parting ways” with controversial podcaster Candace Owens. While the move seemed to have been months in the making, it still gave plenty of ammunition for the company’s leadership to be labeled “free-speech HYPOCRITES.” Are their opponents right, or was this a wise move for the company? More importantly, what lessons should we learn from their mess?
-All that and one dive into controversial waters as I examine the “Christ Is King” Twitter trend. To be clear, most are not arguing whether or not Christianity views Jesus as the King of all Kings. The argument is whether this phrase is being used as a covert antisemitic attack. We will dig deep to understand this theologically and see how it applies to this moment!

-The House of Representatives passed a bill that many are calling a “TikTok ban.” If the bill becomes law, it would force TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, to divest from the app, allowing the popular app to be purchased by an American company. Is this a necessary step to protect American data from the CCP, OR a direct attack on America’s First Amendment?
-Political Podcaster Matt Walsh took aim at the impoverished island of Haiti and correctly pointed out the devastating state of the country. However, his conclusions deserve some scrutiny. First, he echoes the sentiment of former President Trump when he agrees Haiti is a sh*thole country. Second, because Haitians have nothing to offer America, we cannot allow “hordes of third-world immigrants” to flood our country. I’ll respond to both of these points and add some much-needed nuance!
-Vice President Kamala Harris became the first VP or President to visit an abortion clinic as a part of her “Reproductive Rights Tour.” Is this a brave step towards protecting women’s rights, OR is the second most powerful person on earth giving legitimacy to the mass murder of the unborn?
-All that AND ONE look at a moment between George Janko and Jordan Peterson. Janko’s spiritual transformation has been on display for millions of viewers; however, Dr. Peterson pressed him on his view of pre-marital intimacy. There is a LOT to learn from their interaction!

-Sheldon Johnson became a famous activist for criminal reform after spending 25 years in prison for attempted murder and robbery - even appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience to advocate for change. -Netflix announced their next MASSIVE live event - Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson! The internet, predictably, went nuts. The opinion is somewhat divided - is Jake an insane person for stepping in the ring with the scariest heavyweight of all time / OR? Is Jake a coward for choosing to fight a nearly 60-year-old man? I’ll share my thoughts and the deeper issue this may point to in our culture.
-Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC as she is commonly called, was attacked by protestors while trying to enjoy a movie with her husband. In the past, AOC has said, “The whole point of protesting is to make people uncomfortable.” However, the congresswoman was extremely frustrated when the protests came her way. Is this blatant hypocrisy, or is there more to the story?
-All that AND ONE look at the viral trend “WE DONE WITH THE 90s.” This Twitter conversation revolves around the GOAT debate between Lebron and Michael Jordan. The claim is that 90s basketball was weak, slow, and unskilled; therefore, Jordan’s accolades don’t really count. Is this disrespect of the past warranted, is it simple confirmation bias, OR something much more sinister?!

-Comedian Katt Williams once again went viral, this time on the Joe Rogan Experience. While discussing a WIDE range of topics, Katt jumped into an impromptu apologetic, laying out a compelling case for the existence of God! While his delivery may be unorthodox, the case he makes is something many believers could learn from!
-The Blockbuster sequel to the sci-fi epic DUNE released this weekend to massive critical acclaim! The movie is imbued with political, social, and religious themes that are being discussed far and wide. However, the plot begs for one conversation that I have not heard many people having. A key character in this chapter of the saga is a fetus in the earliest stages of development, which made me wonder, “Did Dune accidentally make the most pro-life movie of the year?”
-MSNBC star Joy Reid attracted mixed reviews after a TikTok rant questioning why some are pushing couples to have more children. In the now infamous video, Reid remarked, “The united states has a population north of 327 million people, why do we need more kids?” Many people think like this, so we will seek to answer that question with both ancient wisdom and modern-day facts.
-All that, AND ONE look at the controversy surrounding IVF. After Alabama’s ruling stating that embryos created through the process of in vitro fertilization are, in fact, human life and must be protected - a heated conversation has merged over the ethics of the process. We will think carefully through both the facts and feelings surrounding this dilemma and try to figure out how a Christian should navigate this delicate topic.

-Google released its new AI update, Google Gemini. At first, people were amazed by its ability to give stunning, photo-realistic pictures through a simple text prompt. However, it wasn’t long before people realized it was nearly impossible to get Gemini to create an image with a white person in it. Prompts from “create an image of a pope” to “create an image of the founding fathers” all the way to “create an image of someone eating mayo on white bread…” still, not one white person in sight! We will look at the scary reason that is happening!
-Donald Trump has been ordered to pay over 450 million dollars after losing a civil fraud case in New York City, claiming he manipulated the value of his assets to obtain business financing. Trump can only appeal the decision once he puts up $35 million in bail or puts the total amount into escrow. On top of that, every day he does not pay the fine, he is charged interest on it. Attorney General Leticia James reminds us of this by tweeting the increase in his fine almost every day. Is this the work of a hard-nosed AG or a sorry-winner gloating over someone’s loss?
-Last week, a back-and-forth on social media between TikTok star Madi Hart and her estranged dad went viral. The woman claims she was abandoned, but the dad hit back, claiming he was never a deadbeat dad. Who is right, who is wrong, and what is the MUCH more significant issue at play here?
-And One More segment, looking at the rollercoaster relationship between comedian Shane Gillis and Saturday Night Live. In 2019, Gillis was announced as a new cast member but fired before his debut when non-politically correct skits surfaced online. Just five years later, the comedian hosted the show last weekend! Is this a sign that Cancel Culture is officially dead, or just a lesson to learn from how Shane got back in SNL’s good graces?

- The Hawaiin Supreme Court released a decision limiting its citizens’ federal 2nd amendment right to bear arms. The most surprising part of the decision came during a section regarding Hawaii’s historical beliefs. A key phrase is, “The spirit of Aloha clashes with a federally-mandated lifestyle that lets citizens walk around with deadly weapons
during day-to-day activities.” How should we think about this seemingly religious claim allowing Hawaii to ignore the US Constitution?
-All that AND ONE look at one of the most disturbing new AI trends, an app that emulates having conversations with your ex-girlfriend or boyfriend! Simply upload all of your previous interactions into the AI model, and you can live in deception, pretending you never got dumped! Sooooo, let’s pray Jesus comes back soon!

-President Joe Biden had an unfortunate series of blunders during press conferences, leading many to question if he is mentally up to the task of leading the country. To make matters worse, the DOJ released a report stating they would not seek charges against Biden for mishandling classified information. Their reason for not pursuing legal action was that Biden did not have a good enough memory to be held culpable. Is it time to ask whether Biden may, in fact, be compromised?
-Planned Parenthood recently released a video to their YouTube channel helping young people wrestle through the concept of “virginity.” According to the spokesperson, virginity is a completely made-up concept! By the end of the short video, she is actively encouraging minors to think about all they could gain by becoming sexually active.
-During Sunday’s Super Bowl, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend (aka tight end Travis Kelce) aggressively approached and made contact with 65-year-old coach Andy Reid. Kelce was mad that he was not put on the field in a play that resulted in a fumble for his team. At this point, no action has been taken to address the incident. Should the Chiefs or the NFL take action - or is there no use crying over spilled milk?
-All that AND ONE look at the Super Bowl commercial that stirred the most controversy. The ad depicts unlikely pairs where one is washing the other’s feet. Many Christians reacted with disdain, pointing out that Jesus would certainly not stay silent about the sins captured in the photos. Many non-Christians pointed out that some people who funded the commercial have been on the “wrong side” of social issues. We will take a deep look into the story of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet to understand where we should land on this topic!

-Donald Trump continued his winning streak from Iowa and took the New Hampshire primary as well. While Nikki Haley is still in the race, it is assumed that Trump will be the Republican nominee. The response to his wins has been nothing short of apocalyptic. How can we continue as a nation when there is so much vitriol across political lines?
-Drama continues on the US/Mexico border as Texas seemingly defies a Supreme Court ruling and continues its efforts to secure parts of the Rio Grande River. We have not seen a state vs federal rights issue this obvious since the Civil War! With neither side backing down, realistically, how does this get resolved?
-Prime Video has begun advertising a new cartoon called Hazbin Hotel, promising “Heaven and hell like you’ve never seen them before. In this new telling of the creation story, Satan is a sympathetic and misunderstood creature the authoritarian rulers of Heaven never gave a chance. The fact that a major streaming service has no hesitation in advertising a straightforward mockery of God and scripture tells us all we need to know about where our society is at.
All that and One Look at a viral TEDx clip from Yuval Harari. Harari is an author, journalist, and philosopher who claims that there are no such things as Human Rights. Many people are upset by this clip, but that’s not quite my reaction.

-President Biden stopped by Mother Emanuel AME Church and delivered an obviously partisan political speech. This habit is not unique to Biden - Trump also stepped on stage at FBC Dallas to massive cheers and chants. The question for believers is: should the President ever be given the Pulpit??
-Pop star and talk show host Kelly Clarkson has been doling out love and marriage advice post-divorce that has been roundly accepted as pure gold by the culture. However, we will quickly see that her musings on matrimony do not stack up when scrutinized through the lens of ancient wisdom.
-Internationally, shipping lanes have been disrupted by the Houthis pirates. The West responded with a show of force, but will it make any difference? More importantly, how is it that a relatively underpowered group of terrorists has such an outsized influence?

-We look at the rumors swirling around Jefferey Epstein’s Client List. The world was promised a massive bombshell as the details of the Epstein enterprise were set to be released; however, all we received were facts already widely known. -After the protests of 2020, DEI programs and departments sprang up in corporations all across the country. Millions upon millions of dollars were spent seeking to create Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, especially in the booming Tech fields. -Speaking of DEI creating controversy, Disney is promoting the newest director for their upcoming Star Wars project. The storied franchise has taken massive hits after its last trilogy missed the mark worse than a stormtrooper on the firing range. Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is best known for directing Feminist documentaries and will now take her shot at crafting a story in a galaxy far, far away! Is this another “Woke” Disney disaster, or will the Force be strong with this one?
-All that AND ONE look at the biggest social and political issue today, the US/Mexico border. We continue to reach new records of illegal border crossings, with December of 2023 recording more than 225,000 apprehensions. The number of illegal migrants entering the US has now officially passed the number of American children being born each month. This is both a LEGAL and a HUMANITARIAN issue. As Christians, how should we think about border policy? Does compassion equal an open border? Should we feel bad if our inclination is to restore law and order?

-NBA star Anthony Edwards allegedly pressured his side-chick to get an abortion, demanding she send a video taking the abortion pills for proof. The woman, an IG model, claims she is against abortion and doesn’t want to go through with it. Desperate, he even sent her $100K… While Social Media seems divided on this issue- the answer is actually quite obvious!
-A display in the Iowa statehouse put up by the Satanic Temple was destroyed by a former Mississippi house candidate. Like most things the satanic temple does publicly, the goat-headed display was put in place as a pushback and troll on the traditional nativity scene - even asking for placement as close to the manger as possible. The debate rages over whether the man was justified in his attack on the display or not, even Christians can’t quite agree.
-Boston Mayor Michelle Wu hosted a Christmas dinner for elected representatives of color, excluding the white members of the local government. This drew controversy after seven white members of the City Council were accidentally sent the invite. Is this a case of “reverse racism” where some are being left out because of their “whiteness”? Is it okay to be exclusive or even exclusionary at times?
-All that AND ONE look at the direction Pope Francis seems to be headed in on issues of sexuality and marriage. The Pontiff signed on to new directions encouraging specific blessings for those in relationships outside the Biblical norm. Some see this as a great act of grace, while others see it as a departure from the teachings of the Bible. What lies at the bottom of this issue?

-Marvel’s latest big-budget blockbuster, “THE MARVELS” struggled through the lowest opening weekend in the history of the MCU. For years, they could count on even their most mediocre characters churning out half a billion dollars. Now, they are LOSING close to the same amount on certain projects. Critics have pointed to the lackluster leading character, inherent sexism in moviegoers, poor scheduling and marketing failures to explain this disaster. I actually think it may be FAR simpler than that and I’ll show you a contrasting project to make my point!
-Reading Rainbow star LaVar Burton recently attracted controversy at the National Book Awards by joking he may have to THROW HANDS with any attenders who are a part of the Moms For Liberty group. This got a massive applause from the crowd!… So what crimes have the Moms for Liberty committed to make Geordi La Forge so angry?! Is he justified in this extreme disdain for them?

Yes, Adams and their “employees” are making boatloads of cash. Yes, they have more fame and influence than they could have ever dreamed - However - is THIS building the American Dream or is this leading to a nihilistic Nightmare?!
-Controversial women’s soccer player Megan Rapinoe tore her achilles a few minutes into the last game of her career. In the post-game press conference she said, “If there was a God, this is proof that there isn’t.” / This caught the attention of social media and instantly went viral. What does this “joke” say about the culture’s attitude toward the divine and our belief in how God should operate in our lives?
-Indi Gregory, an 8-month old with a rare, terminal disease in the UK was ordered to be taken off of life support by the British government, ultimately leading to her death. The Italian government fought to bring her to their hospital system, but the UK blocked them AND the parents fought to take her home which was blocked as well! Why did the UK effectively end the life of this child and What lies behind this UNIMAGINABLE decision?

The expectation that the reality of murdering a retired police chief may have hit them and sobered them up was quickly broken when the teens spent the court date laughing mockingly and even flipping off the family of the deceased… How does a young person’s heart become THIS hardened? Where does this level of EVIL actually come from?!
-Speaking of Crime - An investigation into a Covid-Era decision by Kentucky governor Andy Beshear has brought new heat onto his gubernatorial reelection. In 2020, Beshear signed off on the early release of 1,700 inmates to alleviate the spread of Covid. However, since then 882 of those released have been charged with new felonies while hundreds more committed new misdemeanors. All told, around 70% have found themself back in the system, and some of the crimes were heinous and even deadly!… What does this tell us about our misguided views of human nature and justice?
-Earlier this year, Netflix released a docuseries following 3 NFL quarterbacks. While he was far from the flashiest, or even most successful - Kirk Cousins made his way into the hearts of everyone who watched! This weekend, he suffered a season ending injury and the response once again showed that he may be the most loved player in football. What EXACTLY is it about Captain Kirk that is so endearing - and what could it teach us today?!

-Famous influencer @loganpaulvlogs had his much anticipated boxing match against Jiu Jitsu star and top-tier troll Dillon Danis. Danis spent the last 3 months savagely attacking Logan’s fiancé online and yet, before the fight, Logan forgave him! When asked about this on his podcast, @Impaulsive Logan said that Jesus came to him in a meditation! So who is Jesus to Logan and What does this mean for Logan’s future faith?
-As the Israel-Hamas war continues on, it is becoming increasingly difficult to get good information on what’s happening. This was highlighted when almost every major media outlet reported that Israel destroyed a Gaza hospital killing 500 innocent people. This reporting has had massive consequence AND it turns out is completely false. How did MSM get this SO wrong?
-Back at home, the House of Representatives continues to be in disarray as the republicans struggle to find a new speaker of the house. A small minority of super conservatives got rid of McCarthy and now a small minority of more liberal republicans have voted down Jim Jordan. Should such a small group be able to derail the entire house? What is the real issue going on in Congress?

Are we now living in a world where the majority of president’s will get impeached? Is this healthy for the country and how should we handle this news?
-Staying on the political front… Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert caused controversy when her and her boyfriend were escorted out of Beetlejuice at a Denver Theater for a whole host of reasons. Allegedly, the conservative Boebert was vaping, lying about the vaping, talking loudly, being inappropriate with her boyfriend and taking flash photography. Once escorted out, reports say she flipped off security guards and threatened to “call the mayor.”…. Boebert has risen to political fame because of her conservative values and stances to protect children and uphold family values. How is this not a giant contradiction towards what she stands for?

How do we think through this extremely complex and emotion-laden issue?
-Continuing the theme of action and consequence - We look at the crazy spectacle of 70,000 people who got trapped at Burning man with dwindling water and food but no short supply of drugs and sexual encounters! Some saw this as an unfortunate weather event While others believed this was a judgment from God on an event steeped in Hedonism… Who is right and what does it mean for our view of the DIVINE?
-Speaking of Divine Judgment - there may be no greater example in scripture than God demolishing the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Most secular thinkers and historians have assumed that this, along with most of scripture, is simple ancient Mesopotamian myth. However, in the last 50 years archeological discoveries continue to bolster the claims that the Old Testament is, in fact, a historical record. That withstanding, SURELY S&G is a fairly-tale, right?! WELL, a blockbuster discovery may just prove that assumption wrong!
All that AND ONE look at the Texas law seeking to protect minors from viewing pornography. The law was stuck down by a US District judge after a lawsuit was brought claiming it violated the constitutionally protected right of “Free Speech.” Which begs the question - does hardcore pornography meet the standards necessary to be covered as free-speech? While many act like the law is unclear and subjective, I’ll make the case - it’s actually quite clear, we just don’t want to see it!

Others have critiqued the song as unkind, hypocritical, and even racist somehow?… Why has this song touched such a nerve and who is the real Oliver Anthony?
- Throughout the devastating Maui wildfires that have claimed over a hundred lives, the response from Joe Biden has been SHARPLY criticized. From taking multiple vacations as the fires raged, to answering “no comment” when asked his thoughts on the tragedy… Now, Biden has made it to the island and may have come under his sharpest criticism yet - exposing a pattern in his leadership that I think needs to be examined - a habit we could all learn from!
All that AND ONE look at the drama surrounding the real-life NFL player from the hit movie, “The Blind Side.” Michael Oher, now retired from the NFL, says he just learned THIS YEAR that the family who took him in never Legally Adopted him and that they have profited off of his story without him ever receiving compensation for it! The Tuohy family (made famous by Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw), dispute all of his claims and say they are bringing receipts to prove their innocence…. Who is the villain in this story? And what can we learn about how easy it is to drive a wedge through a fairy-tale story?
