It’s all to easy to let our minds get stuck in the rut of problems and complaints. What if we fed our mind beautiful words and thoughts instead: “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Though that quote comes from the Christian Bible (Phil 4:8), this podcast will share lovely words from a variety of beautiful sources.
We begin with the creation of light; the world is created in beauty and goodness. Then a story of a different kind of light entering the world. And then an ending and new beginning.
In this episode, we linger on the delicious words of Gerard Manley Hopkins. I found out that I can only read poems published before 1923 to avoid copyright issues, so I’m revisiting some favorite classics.
