Welcome back to Rookie Watch! A new series where weekly I'll go through each of the AFL's first year players, keeping you up to date with the future of the competition.
In Round 2 we saw four debutants across three games, I go through each players performance, plus I review some of last weeks debutants as they continue to star, this week was also round 1 of the Coates Talent League, so I go through my top five performances of round 1.

Massimo is a likely selection for next week's mid-season draft after playing some fantastic footy this year including games for the Colgate Young Guns. Massimo has an elite kick and can quickly turn defence into offence. Massimo played his junior footy at Point Cook and now plays for the Western Jets in the NAB League and Richmond in the VFL.
