In my almost 40 years I have learned a lot through trial and error, failures and successes. In this podcast we will cover lessons learned through my history which includes divorce, remarriage, miscarriage, 4 healthy babies, retiring from teaching at 28, building a successful, award winning photography business, traveling around the world, and then building a network marketing business to 6 figures in one year! We will chat, have guests, and learn together as we go! This is the podcast for the entrepreneur looking for a life filled with both peace and profits.

For years I've been wearing fake lashes and, I LOVE THEM. I've gone to the salon and laid for hours getting the "real thing" and then in later years shifted to at home editions. Want to know what's funny, I became truly and honestly addicted to the way that I looked with them on my face; so much so that I couldn't even look at myself without those beautiful black sticks hanging from my face. When I decided to take them off and give my eyes a breather, the strangest thing happened, my real God given lashes started to grow. They grew quickly too and although I was tempted to put another set on, instead I learned a very valuable lesson about myself and sometimes the way we stunt our own growth by playing perfect.

Over the years most of my lessons have come through hard conversations, mistakes, and mixups. This lovely lesson was brought to you by a 4 year old monster truck meltdown in the back of a department store.

These days motherhood is providing a lot of clarity and vision to my life as I pay attention to how God speaks to me through the small moments. I am sure many of you can relate to preschooler meltdown moments but be sure to listen in to what I learned after we left and the crying had subsided.

Do you find yourself not on top? Are you in a place in your life where you're not standing high on the mountain gazing beneath you at all the success? Well, I feel ya'!!!!

In this episode I talk about three ways you can cope with not being the best (right now) even if by nature you are an achiever. A lot of people think once you climb to the top of any business you must just stay there basking in your wins and counting your money... UM NO. That's not at all how being good at business works. In business, all business, if you hang around long enough, chances are you will rise, fall, rise again, slide back a little, rise higher, fall further, and so on. Success comes in waves and learning what to do when it feels like those waves are crashing is essential to building a long term sustainable business.

This episode is for anyone who struggles with the thought that you aren't as good as you once were or perhaps find yourself in a state of comparison as you watch others hit goals you haven't quite achieved yet.

I am so proud to introduce you to my friend Hannah Cress. In this very candid and casual conversation we discuss how the tragedy in her life changed her outlook on all things. Her experiences also gave her a very powerful and unique perspective on what matters and where her time and energy should go on a daily basis.

We discuss how working hard involves a lot more than hours at a job. Mental health, coping skills, jealousy and comparison are all somehow discussed in this hour podcast.

Listen to Hannah's story and let it serve as encouragement to you. No matter what has happened in the past, you have a bright future full of possibilities!

In 2021 Tommy and Q made it to the top of our network marketing company not once but twice! In this candid conversation we talk about what working from home often looks like and what is required to become successful that isn't always glamorous.

The truth is there is no ONE way to the top of any business and there is value in hearing different peoples paths in you are on a similar journey. Remember though, the way you get to your success might look completely different that someone else's. Listen to stories with an open mind, hear what is possible, and make decision based on your life.

All the influencers and trend setters out there tell you to choose a word of the year, but WHY? Is this just some trendy garbage for "the cool kids" or does it really have value?

In this episode I will discuss the theory behind having a word of the year and whether or not I think it's worth doing. I will also share what I will choose to be focused on in this new year of 2023.

No matter what, if you decide you need to get your head clear and focused, it's not too late, even if you've already broken 5 of your 10 new years resolutions.

This year wasn't a year of, "WOW, everything worked!" or "Everything I touch turns to gold." NOPE. It was a year of humble growth. Of realizing no matter how hard we try sometimes, there will always be someone disappointed. Someone will always think I'm not doing enough. It was so hard to realize that even though my intentions are good, as a business owner with lots of people working in and around my life, I am the villain in someone's story, even today.

Numbers fell, not every session sold out, people were budgeting every month which effected both of my businesses; feelings were hurt, relationships were ended, and boundaries were put in place and through all of that, I am ending this year more grateful and more changed than ever.

Maybe you had a similar year? Perhaps this wasn't a year of victories? Take a listen and perhaps you can relate. We have no real answers in this conversation that will change the world but sometimes just knowing other people are going through what you're going through can be enough to help you make it through.

Recently I read a book called Who Not How that truly changed my perspective on achieving big goals in business. Many times in my life it seems I was asking the wrong question. "How will I get this done?" was a constant thought on my mind. "How will I grow my businesses?" The question how seemed to cause me extreme anxiety most of the time because I was then focused and overwhelmed by the problem instead of the solution and almost always the solution could be found in the question WHO.

This is a good one!

Have you ever heard of a death doula??? I hadn't either! Listen to this fascinating conversation with death doula Heather Lipscom.

Heather is a wonderful friend I made a few years ago through our supplement business. She has suffered more than most people could even imagine and has somehow come out on the other side with hope, a smile, and a business.

Her purpose now is using her tragedies in life to help other people navigate their hardest times. Learning to turn your tragedy into your triumph could be your super power, just like Heather!

Many times people in business try to separate their personal and spiritual beliefs from their teams and customers in order to appeal to more people and of course not offend anyone. Katie believes in building her business in a completely opposite way, through her belief and faith in God, unapologetically. Katie believes in building women up in business with Biblical encouragement and long term vision. I wanted to speak to her about her theories in business and how she helps others grow. I hope you enjoy this conversation between two Jesus loving business mommas.

What if people would notice if you quit?

What if people truly do care if you show up?

It's time to remind yourself of your value. Did you know that God placed you here for a particular purpose that only you can fulfill? YOU matter. Your days, your nights, your worries, your fears, your successes, your trials, your triumphs MATTER to humans here on Earth and to God in Heaven.

This is a good listen to share with someone who needs reminded, you matter.

I first met Rochelle through our network marketing business online. I heard her story about how she diligently and without apology pushed to a bonus up to the last minute. Normally that doesn't impress me at all, to be honest. Pushing and outworking others is a life I actually am learning to leave behind. Rochelle's story was different though. As she spoke on a live I heard her why, her sweet daughter Grace, who ironically is close in age to my Gracie. I reached out to her and we became across the country friends. Since then I have learned more about how Rochelle perseveres through adversity no matter what, for her daughter. She is beautiful example of what is possible. For any MLM hater, please open your heart and mind to how working from home works for this sweet family. Whether you're a single parent or not, there is something in this conversation for you.

Boundaries are healthy and necessary for all entrepreneurs. We have to learn when enough is enough. We have to draw a line between work and play. We have to know when to turn on do not disturb and when to skip something fun because we are a business owner and sometimes that happens. The truth is though, some business owners now go too far and instead of boundaries, what they actually create in their life are barriers between them and success. Without realizing it some people trying so hard are actually holding themselves back from where they could be in their businesses. Listen in to learn about boundaries and how you can create non negotiable's  that will help you know when the decision your making is around a healthy boundary or if you're being a little too strict and might be creating a wall.

For a long time I went about business with a desperate feeling. I was working for what I needed; admittedly sometimes this is necessary. There were plenty of days when I needed to book a wedding to pay the mortgage. Working with a sense of need constantly is draining, hard, and creates anxiety. When you learn to admit what you want and begin working out of the sense of "I want to go on vacation next year" not "I NEED TO GET THE KIDS TO DISNEY AGAIN" you begin to fine freedom and joy in the work you create. With freedom comes fun and with fun comes profits. Let's dive in!

Years ago I was listening to a podcast and heard the author of Love Languages describe to an interviewer the different love languages and how useful understanding them can be in relationships. The conversation blew my mind and immediately helped me understand my husbands need to do things around the house when all I really wanted was date night. For years I didn't know that we were speaking different languages. CRAZY!

It wasn't long after that I realized this information could be useful in communicating with customers and team members in business.

In this episode, I'll share some useful tips to help you grow and connect in your business through the love languages.

I first met Brittany two years ago through our thriving, pun intended, network marketing businesses. I saw Brittany and expected one thing and found something very different; I found the most down to earth country momma who just happened to love lashes and extensions (just like me). I then discovered over a year later that there was much more than a pretty face and a booming business to Brittany. She had worked her way through so many things in her life that had pushed her into a proving mindset with a side of work addiction to spice things up. She could work harder, so she did. She could earn more, so she did, until she literally couldn't anymore.

Please listen in to her story and how now her life is so very different after choosing peace over profits; and then learning how to bring earning and money back into the equation in a healthy way.
