Soooooooo..... Kyron here. It's been a while! Life be lifin'! God laughs at our plans, don't He :) Oh, but chile, won't He will? Won't HE WILL??? We back in this thang!!! So, low-key this IS an OLD episode, meaning, it was recorded a couple of years ago when we first started the pod. But, it's probably a three-parter. Back in 2023, I sneak-attacked Sy and demanded that he let me interview him. He didn't know we were doing it until a few minutes before recording. :) So, what ended up happening was what always happens, we have a good time and talk Fo'ever!!! Time is Illmatic! If you are a hip-hop fan, then you know why we had to do this one. Tell me, what comes to mind when you think of New York City? Is it Broadway? Times Square? The Statue of Liberty, maybe? In his homage to his beloved stomping grounds, Nas says, "I think of crime when I'm in a New York State of Mind". Well, Nas... "it ain't hard to tell" that I ain't about that life so I'm glad you dropped this album so we can all be educated about it :)
