Over 2,000 years ago, a miracle tookplace in Israel in the little town of Bethlehem. A young virgin named Mary gavebirth to a Son named Jesus, wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in amanger – a feeding trough for livestock. However, even though Jesus was bornunder the humblest of circumstances, His birth was no ordinary birth, and Hewas no ordinary baby. He was the miracle in a manger!

"When I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, 'Live!'" These were the words God spoke to the nation of Israel through the prophet Ezekiel. God reminded Israel of where He had brought them from, what He made them into, and how they had turned away from Him. He was a dead man walking. He was full of leprosy. Jesus passed by his way one day and he made the decision to cry out for help. Jesus heard him, touched him, and cleansed him. And Jesus is still doing the same thing today. Whatever your need, Jesus is willing to touch you and make you whole! There is nothing like a touch from Jesus!

It is about being inwardly focused (Knowing Jesus and Growing in Jesus) and outwardly focused (Sharing Jesus and Serving Jesus). And the greatest example of all of these areas is Jesus Himself. When He walked the earth He showed us so much about Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Evangelism, and Outreach. Tonight we Focus on Jesus and how His earthly ministry teaches us how we should be serving Him!

2023 is coming to a close, and 2024 is right around the corner. But we don’t need to just coast for the rest of 2023. We need to finish 2023 strong. And we need to get ready now for what God wants to do in 2024! And in order to be ready, we need to refocus on the person and the work of Jesus Christ!

Thank God for the fleas. That sounds ridiculous at first, but Betsie and Corrie ten Boom learned the power of thankfulness in a concentration camp during WWII. We should be thankful more than just one day a year. It should be part of our character and who we are every day. But it takes intentional effort on our part to cooperate with the Holy Spirit to cultivate an attitude of gratitude in our hearts. But if we are willing to allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, we can learn to be thankful even for the fleas in our lives!

Tonight we study Revelation 21 and dive deeper into answering the question, "What will Heaven be like?" Why does God destroy the current heavens and earth? What will it be like when we get to the new heavens and earth? Who is going to make it to heaven? What happens to those who don't make it? Heaven is going to be a beautiful place. Nothing bad, evil, or painful is going to enter there. God is going to make all things new! There is so much hatred in the world today. But as Christians, we are commanded to love one another. In fact, we are even commanded to love our enemies. That takes an agape type of love. Agape love is true love and is only found in relationship and partnership with God. For God himself is the only source of true love.

What will heaven be like? Will we remember our loved ones? Will we know who didn't make it to heaven with us? We begin a discussion of these topics in this lesson. We also discuss the Great White Throne Judgment, the difference between the first and second resurrection, and the ultimate fate of Satan, the antichrist, and all those who reject Christ. www.farmhillchurch.com

Today we look at Part 2 of the sermon, “Israel, the Dragon, and the Sword.” Last week we talked about Israel and the current war with Hamas. This week, we complete our study of Isaiah 27:1 and discuss the dragon and the sword. The dragon, which represents Satan and his kingdom of evil and chaos, will ultimately be destroyed by Jesus and His sword! Jesus is going to slay the dragon! And God is going to make all things new!

Biblical prophecy is unfolding right before our eyes. What we see taking place in the Middle East right now is just another confirmation that we are getting closer and closer to the final fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. The terrorist attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023 by Hamas and the sick, demented, twisted violence that they unleashed was demonic. Israel is not just fighting Hamas, or Hezbollah, or even Iran. Israel is in the middle of spiritual war. Just look how Israel’s response to the attacks by Hamas has ignited a firestorm of antisemitism and demonstrations across the world, including the US, calling for the complete annihilation of Israel as a nation and death to all the Jews. But God has promised in His Word to protect, preserve, and save a remnant from Israel. Israel will not be wiped off the face of the earth, but ultimately the demonic powers of darkness will be destroyed by the sword of the Lord! Isaiah 27:1 gives us a summary of what is going to take place in the ends times. In this message we are going to deal with “Israel, the Dragon, and a Sword.”

Something as simple as curling the radishes for a dinner meeting may seem like an unimportant task. However, even the smallest of tasks can have a big impact in the Kingdom of God when they are done with the right heart and motive. Colossians 3:23-24 teaches us that everything we do should be done as if we were doing it for the Lord. When we think of our lives in this way, it puts a heavenly perspective on our earthly journey! Whatever your role is in the Kingdom of God and whatever calling the Lord has on your life, keep curling the radishes!

Tonight we start out by discussing the recent events in Israel and how all of this could connect to biblical prophecy. Then we get back into Revelation and pick back up in Chapter 19 Verse 11 and go through the end of the chapter. This section covers the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the end of the Battle of Armageddon.

Christianity is changing; and not necessarily for the better. In recent years, we've seen a steep decline in the moral, spiritual, and biblical values in the church. But we don't have to follow the same path. In Jeremiah 6:16, the Lord gave Jeremiah a word to give to the people: "ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it." The old paths are the tried and true foundations of the Christian faith. The early church in the book of Acts lived by them and God blessed His church. We need to follow those same old paths. Other may choose another way, but give me that old time religion!

What are you willing to offer to God? Abraham was willing, by faith, to offer his son Isaac to God on the altar. By faith, Abraham was willing to offer to God the very thing that God has promised as his source of blessing. Abraham was willing to lay his Isaac down. As soon as he did, God immediately confirmed an abundant blessing of increase in Abraham’s life. Sometimes God may ask you to lay your “Isaac” down. Your “Isaac” is anything that is more important to you than God. He may be asking you to lay it down in order to make room for an even greater blessing!

What happens to the 144,000 that we read about back in Revelation 7? Tonight we cover the first 11 verses of Chapter 14. We also get into a detailed discussion at the end of what happens to our souls when we die, what happens at the rapture/first resurrection, who inhabits the Millennial Kingdom, and why God is going to create a new heavens and a new earth.

This week we cover Revelation 12:13 - 13:6. We begin an introductory discussion of the beast John saw rising out the sea, or who is known as the antichrist. What kind of person will he be? What is his agenda? Where does he get his power and authority? How does John's vision in Revelation compare to Daniel's visions in the Old Testament? We begin to answer these and other questions.

In this lesson we study Revelation 12:10-12. We get into a great group discussion of what it means to be overcomers and the ultimate fate of Satan and his angels.

Satan uses condemnation as a weapon to make us feel unworthy and unloved by God. But Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but the save the world. In Romans 8:1, Paul declares, "There is therefore now no condemnation in Christ Jesus." If you are living in a constant position of condemnation, it's time to say, "Not Today Satan!"

Tonight we cover Revelation 10:5 - 11:1. We end with a discussion of the 3rd Temple and its role during the Tribulation.

We experienced some bad weather during the service and lost power and the live stream. So there is a portion of the message missing beginning at about the 16:30 mark. You'll hear a brief musical interlude and then the second half of the sermon will begin.

God called out a young man by the name of Gideon to deliver Israel out of the hands of the Midianites. Gideon didn't consider himself much of a hero, and Gideon had not even fought the first battle, but God called still called him a "mighty man of valor." Gideon and 300 men of Israel destroyed 135,000 of the Midianites with trumpets, empty pitchers, and torches. It wasn't about their power or strength, it was about the faith in and reliance on God's power and strength. Laodicea is known as the lukewarm church. Jesus had a strong rebuke against this church because they were lukewarm. Jesus said He wished that they were either hot or cold, but because they were lukewarm, He would spew them out of His mouth. What was the root cause of their lukewarm condition? It was pride. They were so rich in the things of this world, that they didn't see their spiritual poverty. Don't let the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life hinder your spiritual growth in Christ. We can be overcomers and sit with Christ on His throne!

On Jesus' final night on earth before His crucifixion, He chose to spend valuable time with His disciples. In a dramatic demonstration of love, Jesus gird Himself with a towel, poured water into a basin, and washed His disciples feet. Jesus did this as an example of the servant heart that we should have for others. Jesus demonstrated humility, impartiality, and charity (love). To be More Like Jesus, we need to learn to Serve Like Jesus.

We need to learn to maintain balance in our lives. When we get out of balance, it allows the devil to easily push us over and knock us down. It is a book of divine origin. ‌ God has so perfectly and miraculously revealed and preserved His Word in the 66 books of the Bible. As a result, we can absolutely trust the Bible. We can rely on it. She had nothing but a small flask of oil in the house. The creditors were coming to take away all she had left, including her two sons. She was in a desperate place. Out with the old and in with the new. We are continuing this week to think about The New Man and the Old. Last week we focused on The Need for Personal Holiness. This week we are going to take things a few steps further and look deeper into how we can ensure that we are presenting our lives to God as holy and acceptable in His sight. There is no greater peace as a child of God than knowing you are in the will of God. If you need some helping finding God’s will for your life, then this message today is for you!

If you have been saved, then there ought to be a significant and undeniable change occuring in your life. Personal holiness results in positive change. It is not about keeping a list of dos and don'ts. It is about the process of being conformed into the image of Christ. God is not looking for perfection, but He is looking for direction. God does not expect us to be sinless, but He does expect us to sin less. Have you every tried getting someone’s attention to no avail? Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try or how loud you get the other person is so absorbed in what they’re doing, they are completely oblivious to your attempts to get their attention? In our Scripture passage today, Absalom went to extreme measures to get the attention of Joab by setting his barley field on fire. Sometimes, we are completely oblivious to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God has to go to extreme measures to get our attention. If He has to, God will set your field on fire!

What are you thankful for? What are some things that God has blessed you with in 2022? What about the difficulties? Have you faced some troubles and trials? Do you know the Bible says we are to be thankful for all things: the good and the bad? That God is working all things out for our good and His glory? What if we stopped looking at all the bad as just trials, and setbacks, and adversities? What if we realized that they might be blessings in disguise? What if God is about to turn our mess into a message! There is Victory in Your Praise! When you and I begin to magnify the Lord, we realize just how big our God is and how small our problem is compared to Him. That’s why the devil doesn’t want you to magnify the Lord. That’s why the devil tries to silence your praise. It’s because he knows that There is Victory in Your Praise!

Jesus has a name that has been exalted above every other name. At His name, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We often emphasize the future fulfillment of this truth. However, the Bible tells us that Jesus’ authority applies in this age as well as the age to come. There is nothing we can bring to Jesus that He does not have authority over. If it has a name, it will bow.

Light dispels darkness. Jesus is the light of the world. And He has given His authority to the Church to display and shine His light in the spiritual darkness of this world. The harvest is plentiful with people who are blinded by the god of this age and hopelessly fumbling through the darkness in this life. Without the light of Christ, they will be eternally lost. It is time for the Church to "Turn the Light On" and reach souls for the Kingdom of God. Listen in to this message to discover how you can do your part and "Turn the Light On."

We are living in the last days and there is a harvest of souls that is ripe and ready to be brought into the Kingdom of God. Jesus said "the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." The question today is, "Who Will Go?" We need more laborers to go out and work in the harvest and bring them in to the Kingdom of God. Are you doing your part?

Jeremiah described his calling to speak the Word of God as a "burning fire shut up in [his] bones." It was the internal combustion of the Holy Spirit in Jeremiah's soul that would not allow him to give up. Have you allowed God to ignite an internal combustion of the Holy Spirit in your soul? Are you a soul on fire for God? Are you ready for what God has planned next in your life? God has given to each of us spiritual gifts, charisma, through His divine grace. These gifts are for the edification of the body of Christ and to bring glory to God. When we are not operating in the our spiritual gifts the body of Christ suffers. If God has given you gifts that you are not using for His Kingdom, then it is time to "Stir it Up."

Churches and Christians can get complacent. We can get to the point sometimes when we feel like we’ve got everything we need. We can feel like we’ve gone as far as we need to go in our relationship to God. In the book of Revelation, Jesus had to remind the church in Laodicea, one of the seven churches in Asia Minor, about the danger of spiritual apathy, or a lukewarm spirit. Today we’re going to talk about our own danger of falling into a condition of a lukewarm spirit and what it looks like when we are “Souls on Fire” burning with a “White Hot Holy Fire.”

Where are you at in your relationship with God? Abraham built an altar between Bethel and Ai. Between the House of God and a heap of ruins. Where is your spiritual life today? What is the direction of your life? Are you moving toward the House of God, a place of spiritual encounter with God? Or are you moving away from God? If you are moving away from God your life is headed for a heap of ruins. The good news is we can return back to the place of an altar and call up on the name of the Lord and the Lord will hear and answer our prayer. September 11, 2001 is a day that Americans will never forget. As Christians, there are things about God that we should also never forget. We should never forget God's Word, God's Power, and God's Grace.

The Bible teaches us that there are times when we are to wait on God. But there are also times when we say we waiting on God to do something, when in reality God is waiting on us to make a move. He is waiting on us to step forward in faith. Waiting on us to submit completely to His will. Waiting on us to pray and seek His face. Waiting on us to depend completely on Him for what we need. We say we believe that Jesus Christ is more than enough to meet our needs. We say we have faith. We say that we believe that God can still move mountains. We say we believe that God still answers prayers. Well if that’s true, then what are you waiting for?

We live in a society today that is dependent upon technology and machines to communicate, work, drive, play, and just about everything in our lives. And all of that technology and machinery requires regular maintenance and updates in order to keep running properly. But as Christians, we also need to perform regular maintenance and update our relationship with God. The danger of not continuing to nurture and grow in our relationship with God is that we can allow sin to creep into our lives that can cause us to fall. However, there are some ways we can make sure that we keep ourselves from falling.

Justified, Crucified, and Sanctified. These are some of the great truths and benefits of the Gospel. When we obey the Gospel, we are Justified. God declares us innocent before Him on the basis of the righteousness of Jesus Christ. But not only does God change our legal standing before Him, He also begins a transformation process within us as we are in a spiritual sense Crucified with Christ. The old person that we were before we came to Christ “dies” and we are raised into newness of life. And finally, that transformation process continues through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as we are being Sanctified. We learn to walk by the Spirit and not by our flesh. And all of these great truths and benefits are made possible simply by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. So we can say we are Justified by Faith, Crucified by Faith, and Sanctified by Faith.

But the good news of Easter is He didn’t stay buried! HE GOT UP!

When Jesus entered into Jerusalem riding on a donkey, some of the crowd asked, "Who is this?" Some answered, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee." Who is Jesus to you? Is he just an amazing prophet, or a good teacher, or a powerful healer? Jesus certainly was those things, but He is so much more. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and He wants to be the King of your life!

Jesus left us an example, so that we could FOLLOW HIS STEPS. He has laid out the path in front of us. He is the standard that we must follow and pattern our lives after. In what areas of your life are you following His steps? In what areas of your life do you need to re-pattern your steps after Him? If you are walking in His steps, you should be able to look behind you and see one set of footprints. Not necessarily because He was carrying you through those moments (though perhaps at times He was). But because your footprints are hidden in His, because you are following His steps.

No matter how hard we try, our relationships do not always turn out the way we desire. Relationships are not always nice, neat, and tidy. Let’s face it, relationships can be downright messy. There are many ways relationships can go south, but one of the most devastating things that we can experience in our relationships is betrayal. When we are betrayed by someone we love, it is like an arrow shot to the heart. It hurts. It can cause severe and long-lasting effects to us emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and even physically. But God’s Word encourages us that, even if we face betrayal, we can and we will survive! And we can and we will overcome! And we can and we will come through it! And we can and we will be better on the other side! I want to speak to you this morning on the subject of overcoming betrayal. The title of this message is “Crossing the Kidron.”

The title of today’s message is “Small Church - Big Heart.” In other words, we might be small in number compared to some churches, but we don’t want to be only measured by the number on our attendance record, but we want to be measured by the size of our heart. And so, in addition to Worship, Evangelism, and Discipleship, we want to be known for our Outreach into the community and meeting people’s needs with Godly love and compassion. And as we continue to grow spiritually and numerically, as we grow from a small church, to a medium church, to a big church, we also want our giving and outreach ministry to grow exponentially.

We are a church that believes, “Come as You Are and Leave Better Than You Came!” We believe that Jesus meets us right where the are, but He loves us too much to leave us the same way He found us. One of the ways we are going to fulfill our mission of Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known is by loving people where they are and introducing them to the One who can change their lives.

At Farm Hill Church, we want to be known as a church “Where the Presence of God is Present.” When people walk through the doors, or when they drive up in the parking lot, or even when they just drive by or walk by on the road, that they can feel that there is something different about this place. That they can sense the power and the anointing of the Holy Ghost. That they can sense that there are some people here who are passionate about Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known. That they are drawn to this place, like a moth to a flame. Not because of who we are, but because of who Jesus is, what He has done for us, and what He can do for them! And because the true fire of the Holy Ghost is here! Not a fake fire! But a true fire! Not just a form of Godliness! But the true power of the Holy Spirit!

I believe God is saying that it is time for Farm Hill Church to take it to the next level! It is time to get back to the fundamentals of what a church is supposed to be! It is time to get back to the power and boldness of the early church in the book of Acts who operated in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is time to get back to allowing the Holy Spirit to move and operate the way He sees fit in our services! It is time to set useless traditions and religious habits aside and just simply start being Living Stones who are ready to move and function where God puts us in the church, the spiritual house, that He is building! It is time for us to stop thinking of church as a place we meet, and start realizing that the church is who we are and what we do! It is time to realize that our mission is Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known!

When we all come together with our own unique talents, abilities, and gifts that God has blessed us with and we are willing to offer them up to God and the local church as a spiritual sacrifice to God, The Holy Spirit will fit us all together in the proper place so that the Church is alive, healthy, and functioning in the way God intended and so that the Kingdom of God is glorified.

When life gets tough, like our computers, we can log out, or we can shut down. But Jesus is offering us another alternative. We can hit the reset button. Tune in to this message to discover how Jesus allowed Peter to hit the reset button on his life, and how He can do the same for you today!

What makes Christmas so great is not just that Jesus came to earth, but why He came. When we think about the incarnation of Jesus we think about His sinless life. We think about the miracles He performed. We think about His teachings and sermons. But all of these are incidental to His true main purpose in coming to earth. Jesus was born to die.

The woman at the well had a powerful encounter with Jesus Christ that changed her life forever. Just like Jesus changed her life, He is still changing lives today. Jesus is still offering that “living water” that will quench thirsty souls and fill empty hearts. Jesus is the True Well. If the things of this world have left you high and dry, you can leave it all behind, and Come to the Well!

Abraham was fully persuaded that what God had promised, He would perform. Abraham considered not, staggered not, and doubted not, but he stood on the promises of God. God's Word is full of exceedingly great and precious promises and we can claim those promises through Jesus Christ.

Have you ever tried to do something good, but just royally messed things up? You had the best of intentions, but you ended up making a bad decision. Good intentions do not always bring about good results. We can have good intentions, but end up making a bad decision, which can result in painful consequences. In today’s message, we are going to look at the story of a man by the name of Uzzah who had a good intention, but made a bad decision, which had tragic consequences for him. We are also going to look at how we can avoid making the mistake of Good Intention, Bad Decision.

God has been so good to us. The Bible teaches us how we are to respond to God in light of who He is, what He has done, and what He will do. He is worthy of our adoration. Listen in to this message to find out how to Build an Attitude of Gratitude in your life!

Foundations are important. Get the foundation wrong and the house will not stand. As Christians, we are to build our house on the Rock of Christ by being both a hearer and a doer of the Word of God. Any other foundation is sinking sand.

Jabez is not one of the more well known men in the Bible, but a prayer that he prayed is recorded in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. The Bible includes hundreds of examples of how God uses angels to carry out His will. The truth is that God has a whole host of angels that He can dispatch instantly to minister to us in our time of need. They are Angels on Assignment. In fact, God has angels right now that are on assignment to (1) speak to us, (2) minister to us, (3) deliver us, and (4) protect us.

Who is this King of Glory? He is the Lord strong and mighty. He is the Lord mighty in battle. He is the Lord of hosts, the Lord of angel armies. And the Lord will help us fight our battles. But endurance runners also describe something called "catching a second wind." This is where they suddenly receive the strength to keep going and to finish the race. In 2 Samuel 12:1-14, King David discovered that, even though God forgave his sin, there were lasting consequences to his actions. We too must realize that, even though God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, there are often consequences to our sinful actions that can affect us personally, our relationships with others, and our relationship with God.
