Bright Moments is an on-chain Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that specializes in live NFT minting experiences. In addition to Bright Moments’ flagship NFT project, CryptoCitizens, we produce IRL minting experiences for some of the most renowned artists in the NFT and generative art spaces. We're going around the world in 10,000 mints. Want to join us?
For the first Dreamforum AI Conference at Bright Moments Venice Beach, Leo Emanuel, CEO of Autoaim, and Si Parmeggiani, aka Neptunian Glitter Ball, a Creative Director at Meta, shared insights about how AI can be utilized by brands and advertising agencies and why wise creatives will embrace these tools.
“What I’m seeing in the past couple of months is a complete pivot from, ‘I hate AI,’ to, ‘Shit, I need to be on it as soon as possible.’” - Si Parmeggiani
In this frank and informative chat, Si and Leo discuss the applications for AI tools in the hands of creatives, agencies, and brands, where things stand today, and where things are going soon.
“AI won’t take your job. A person using AI will.” - Leo Emanuel
What can we expect from AI in the right hands? The consensus is lower costs, more quantity, and higher quality — along with unprecedented personalization.

After debuting ‘AI Imagined Faces: On-Chain’ at Bright Moments Tokyo, Pindar Van Arman visited Venice Beach to reflect on the collection, as well as his experiences as both an AI artist and an art collector.
As someone who was early to AI art, he has rare perspective on where we are now from where we started. He shares insights on the similarities and differences between humans and machines and how both can be creative in different ways. He delves into his experience collecting genesis pieces from Claire Silver and XCOPY, generating truly random numbers from quantum computers, and how he became a crypto artist who uses AI vs. an AI artist who uses crypto.
He also shares advice for emerging artists to save them from some of the hard lessons he has learned over his career.
If you’re interested in artificial intelligence, on-chain art, or some of the deeper aspects of technology and humanity, this will be a fascinating talk for you.

After debuting 'Civics' -- a collection depicting civil disobedience through synthetic photojournalism at Bright Moments Tokyo, Kevin Abosch visited our Venice Beach gallery to discuss his past, his process, and these works with Seth Goldstein and our guests.
Kevin's story is fascinating, running the gamut from giving up science to pursue truth in art, to selling actor headshots in order to survive, to discovering crypto, to tokenizing himself as a commodity, to machine learning and synthetic photography.

So much of the Bright Moments roadmap has been influenced by Jeff Davis -- both as a generative artist and the Chief Creative Officer of Art Blocks.
Bright Moments founder Seth Goldstein and Jeff Davis talk about their intertwined paths, from the very beginning of that first IRL NFT art gallery in Venice Beach, to the creation of CryptoVenetians on the Art Blocks platform, to the global stage with art shows in New York, Berlin, London, Mexico City, and beyond.

There would be no Bright Moments without Jeff Davis. In this discussion at the opening of his ‘Formation’ series, Jeff and Bright Moments founder Seth Goldstein walk down memory lane, which weaves through the dawn of generative art, the genesis of Art Blocks, and the birth of Bright Moments.
Jeff shares his experience as a painter who shifted to generative art, as an art professor and a practitioner, and as someone with an idea for an “art vending machine” that intersected perfectly with Erick “Snowfro” Calderon’s vision for Art Blocks.
Jeff has produced collections in every Bright Moments city, but it was his first show in Venice Beach that sparked CryptoVenetians and set off the chain of events that has sent us around the world.
In addition to exploring the past, Jeff shares his view of what’s next for the generative art movement in this can’t-miss interview.

As she prepares to share ‘Off Script’ with collectors and guests at Bright Moments London, Emily Xie also shares her story, learnings, and guidance.
Growing up in rural Maine, Emily Xie studied art, but shifted into software engineering in pursuit of a more “practical” career path. Naturally, her discovery of generative art bridged the divide between passion and skill which led her to create ‘Memories of Qilin’ and ‘Off Script’.
She shares what she studied to learn the foundations of generative art, anecdotes about meeting other artists, such as Tyler Hobbs, in the early days of the movement, her approach to making the digital feel organic, how she interprets a tactile, immersive experience based on “craft”, her expectations for how Art Blocks and generative art will be seen in the canon of art, and tips for aspiring artists.

When Eerieum_ minted a CryptoVenetian, it was impossible to foresee that he would one day showcase his own art at a Bright Moments gallery, but this Venice Beach local brought it all home in more ways than one.
For our Project Spotlight series, Bright Moments gave this 16-year-old Venice-local the floor for ‘Relative Value’ — a digitized collection derived from his hand-painted dollar bills.
Using money from countries around the world as his canvas, this artist draws inspiration from the bill’s homeland to hand paint his vision overtop, creating something entirely new. The art is then scanned and offered digitally as 1-of-1 NFTs, while the original, uncut sheets of international currency are available as physical pieces.
He was joined by Scott Page, a musician known for his work with Pink Floyd, among others, for a performance of “Money” — naturally.

In advance of his ‘Inprecision’ show at Bright Moments London, Thomas Lin Pedersen sat with Bright Moments founder Seth Goldstein to talk about generative art. He gives insights into his process, inspiration, aesthetic choices, and how he approaches work from both an artist and collector standpoint.
How does one transition from food scientist, to data scientist, to artist? Understanding his journey helps to paint a picture of how Thomas Lin Pedersen wields code as his brush, and finds a way to make the digital feel organic.
Additionally, he explains how the process changes when the intended output is a large, printed piece, and when designing for 100 outputs vs. 1,000.

In advance of the launch of his “Folio” collection and interactive experience at Bright Moments London, Matt DesLauriers spoke with Bright Moments founder Seth Goldstein in this wide ranging discussion about art and technology, as well as the inspiration behind Folio.
The FOLIO Computer System is a throwback to 1980s technology, and fully interactive in ways that are inspired by that era. Tying it all together is an interactive exhibit wherein the user can input commands into the machine, mint their generative piece, and view the high resolution output through projection.
Matt talks about the ways in which video games, animation, and the history of print technology informed this collection and show. He also touches on collaboration with other artists, coders, and creators, how he chose his mint zero, the benefits of Tezos over Eth, and how he treats technology as a collaborator rather than a tool.

Sputniko! launches “The Nursery” collection at Bright Moments London with a Q&A that spans biology, technology, immersion, and, of course, NFT art.
Recognizing that NFT art shares a lifespan with the blockchain, Sputniko! designed each piece from “The Nursery” to grow over time. As a “living” organism, it is inspired by real-life child birth, born in an immersive, nursery space, and continues to develop in the holder’s wallet.
She also touches on the state of NFTs and gender in Japan, the balance between commerce and creation, and the possibilities posed by AI in art.

Token Talk Tuesdays — it’s now a thing! In this week’s Twitter Space, we focus on Golden Tokens and how they might relate to $CTZN benefits.
The “Golden Token” model is the fuel that drives the CryptoCitizens roadmap, but should holders accrue rewards before their Citizen is actually minted? We discuss where the model came from, how it works, and what it means as we prepare a benefits program. After all, the program is intended to reward the people who support the community, and Golden Tokens are the first building block of any new city.
Stick around for announcements about our week of NFT.NYC events and details about our CryptoCitizens merchandise!
