I was wandering along the Sunset coast of Sardinia when I saw it: the Perfect tower, called Torre di Capo Mannu. A tower which could even be climbed!
You can probably not even slightly imagine how excited it made me but I was waiting for this tower for a long time, since mostly you can't climb the towers you find here everywhere along the Sardinian coast. I have always wondered how epic it would be to be on top of the tower at sunset an fly the drone, so I was very very happy with this treasure right here and I knew exactly what kind of shots I wanted to make with my drone. Okay not exactly but at least I had some ideas.
Torre di Capo Mannu, a tower at the Sardinian Sunset Coast
I like shooting my sunset footage very dark so the subjects turn into a silhouette. Getting to know your camera settings is 100% worth it, even if you use a phone or drone
When I saw this tower, immediately knew that it was build for Drone photography! (Okay probably not, drones did not even exist back then) So, I rushed back "home" to my campervan to get my half charged drone and to make it back in time for the sunset. I am kind of new with drones so I needed to figure out the settings before the sun got to low and I hoped that the people would stay away. When there are many people around, it makes me too shy to fly the drone for some reason. I'm such a loser haha. But today was the day. Quiet and the most perfect location! Only the weather was quite windy which is not perfect for the drone but it was not to crazy. Also, balancing on the wall of a tower with the wind (literally living on the edge) while flying a drone isn't perfect but it was doable and so much more than worth it!
I personally like to shoot it dark so the sky turns out quite orange. And the subject (me and the tower in this case) turn out very black. I did edit the video a little bit but the Sunsets here in Sardinia are naturally already amazing. Judge for yourself!
Shot with the DJI mini 3 pro and an 1/8 ND filter to make the footage a bit darker
Thanks to ecency Shorts I could upload this video! I'm so glad that it is possible now! I should have tried it out earlier!
Hope you liked my little drone video and some tips and tricks are always welcome! I would like to get better in drone photography :)
Thank you for passing by! Should I upload more drone footage or do you prefer pictures as usual? Let me know!
Regards from Sardinia!

Hii friends!
Last week, my boyfriend and I went sledding for first time of this winter season. We chose to go to Lech as usual. The snow was not so perfect since it was frozen and not loose, soft and powdery if you get what I mean. It makes it a bit more dangerous and painful to crash but we finally found out how to break which helped us not to crash so much as we usually do. I really can not believe that we found out how to break just now. Last year we really crashed a lot. But it was fun anyway.
It felt really good to enjoy the snow again. The weather was beautiful and sunny, a perfect day for sledding. We made a little vlog about that day, this is my second vlog I made in my life and I feel very cringe about it (I felt even more cringe about the first one but I kinda love the memories and it makes me happy to watch it back) So here we go. Let me know what you think about it!
Regards,
Sascha

Hii, this will officially be my last Austria post for this winter as I arrived back in Holland. I am really excited to show you this video, shot with my drone, edited with DaVinci Resolve for windows. Hii,
I am really excited to show you this video, shot with my drone, edited with DaVinci Resolve for windows. I shot this video just 5 minutes away from the place I lived, in the Pine forest by the river. I hope you like it!
This will officially be my last Austria post for this winter as I arrived back in Holland. I left Zug, the village next to Lech where I lived since last December for the winter season. Next time I might like to show you some shots of the Dutch spring, probably some tulips.
Regards,
Sascha

Hii!
Last week, my boyfriend and I went to the mountain of Oberlech, to enjoy sledding down all the way to Lech and I am very excited to show you last week's sledding video, so you can experience it too!
Sledding is one of the most fun things to do here in Austria. The snow wasn't that good for sledding since it was very soft like usual at this time of the year in spring. The soft snow is also the reason we had a lot of crashes, but it makes it only more fun as you can see in the video. Falling hurts a lot more when the snow is very cold, in December, January and February, as they are way colder months. There are nets around the slope for safety, and as you see, they work very well! However, it is just hilarious with all those crashes.
Soon, I am traveling back to my country, the Netherlands. This might be the last snow post for a while, so enjoy!
Regards,
Sascha

My friends from the Netherlands came to visit me in Austria for a couple of days. I was really excited to take them out sledding, since it is just one of the best things to do here! And everything on the video is shouting that it was epic!
The place we went for sledding is the same place as I am living in: Lech, a small place between the Austrian mountains. Here you can take a cable car up (ticket for 2 times is 6 euros, 4,50 for kids and workers). You also see the cable car we took to go up passing by in the video. Once arrived up, you can rent a sled for 5 euros (+20 euros deposit, paid with cash). Than you are all set do slide down the mountain! It is the best thing you can do here in Lech, especially if you don't know how to do skiing or snowboarding, like my friends.
By the way, the video is shot with my Insta360 one x2 an actioncamera with invisible selfiestick, and edited in the insta360 app.
I hope you enjoyed my video and that I gave you a good impression of what it is to go sledding here in Austria. Don't forget to follow me for more adventures :)

Sascha

Do you dream already after a holiday to the snowy mountains of Austria? Well, than I reached my goal! I am happy to let you explore some more of the world, by showing you what my lens sees, by sharing the footage I made on an ordinary walk in Lech, Austria.
How I made this shots
Would you believe it if I tell you I made this video all by myself, without a cameraman? Of course with a little help of the Insta360 one x2 which films 360 degrees around, with two lenses places at the front and backside of the camera! You can just reframe it after shooting in the app!
If you enjoyed my video you can give me a follow and you will probably see weekly travel inspiration appearing on your feed! I would appreciate it! Anyway, thank you for passing by!

Sascha

Zug, my home for the winter
A little while ago, I got the opportunity to move to this tiny town called Zug am Arlberg. The reason I got this opportunity is because my boyfriend is working here as a chef in a hotel, so they gave him a room there where I could stay too. And be honest, who would say no tho staying in this dream destination?
When I visited Zug in summer, I loved it right away. It felt like a little farmtown, with cows roaming around in the mountains, which are completely covered in Flowers. It is not like the ordinary tourist town, like the neighboring Lech, the most famous wintersports town in Austria, and thus also the most expensive. Instead, Zug is a very small village with just a few hotels and restaurants, and no stores at all. It is great for langlaufen and walking, but it is connected with a lift to Lech by mountain lift and a bus every 20 minutes. Here you will get the best of all, at least, if you like it to stay in a peaceful place.
Is there always snow in Zug?
Yes, there is! At least from decrmber till middle april. The layer of snow here in the valley is a little bit over 50 CM ( around 2 feet) , and still growing everyday, since January is a cold month with lots of snow. On the mountain, the snow can be one meter thick! But if you dress well you will feel actually warm dyring activities like skiing, snowboarding or sledding, or when the sun is out, sometimes you can even sit in a t-shirt on the terrace, would you expect that in such a snowy place?
I went on my walk after showering, when my hair was almost dry. When I walked in the shade, my hair got frozen, but it melted right away when I walked in the sun. Welcome freezing Austria.
When you zoom in, you can pretty much see all the houses of Zug
How I shot this video all by myself
The video is made with my new Insta360 one x2, an amazing videocamera which can film 360 degrees around! It is my first time using it, and I am obsessed with it. Why did I not buy this years earlier, when I still traveled a lot! It comes with an app with many editing opportunities which I still didn't discover all, but it promises great video's without much skills needed.
Click here to check out the actioncam
Soon, I will post more pictures with this exciting camera full of new film opportunities.
