Ghost of Yōtei is a 2025 action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This week the nerds celebrate the return of the great Paul Thomas Anderson, bringing his epic new film, ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER to the theaters with him!
We’re big fans of (the Master) PTA, and are excited to get into our review of the film. We discuss formats, Leo and the rest of the cast, the action set pieces, that Johnny Greenwood score and more. It’s a fun, deep dive discussion, but beware, it’s spoiler filled.
Then, naturally, we can’t hit the tenth PTA movie without having a good old ranking, and so Ed and Luis give their Top Ten Paul Thomas Anderson movies, and there are a few surprises thrown in there!

The Last of Us Season 2 has wrapped and so we bring two different type of Last of Us Players to review the HBO Series. One who just finished playing The Last of Us Part 2 and one who has played it multiple times. What did you think of the series?
It’s a vibes heavy episode this week as the nerds get together to talk shop about some of the newest trailers they’ve been excited to watch. With two dads on the pod, Zootopia 2 is definitely getting some buzz and of course the second trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth is raising some eye brows.
Plus, the latest season of Fortnite has the nerds’ blasters set to FUN! But not so much for the SAG union who has some qualms about the use of AI generated voice work for the late James Earl Jones.
There’s some talk of Quentin Tarantino stepping away from movie making but that isn’t stopping him from blessing the world with more BOOKS! Ed about bursts with joy when he tells the nerds about the new series of coffee table books coming from one of the best directors in the game.

We're chatting about the first look at Gladiator 2 and the new Harry Potter TV series. We're digging into the photos from Gladiator 2 and feeling cautiously hyped for the film. In news, we take a look at the long and oddly specific list of Creative Arts Emmy winners, the deets on the new Apple iPhone 14 (iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Plus) a taste of the latest John Williams’ Indiana Jones 5 score and of course an array of TV/movie trailers including Netflix’s The Good Nurse and All Quiet on the Western Front. Plus we catch up on what we’ve been into, touching on the latest of the Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, but also finally getting Luis’ opinions of Alex Garland’s Men!
The Summer Blockbuster Seasons is sadly over and so it is time we reveal who won in predicting the biggest movies of the summer. Inspired by Slash Film cast’s Summer Movie Wager, we predicted which summer box office movies would be in the top 10 and where EXACTLY they would be placed on the list. We made our bets earlier this year and now its time to find out the winner.
