The point is, Maui is lovely, but I don't necessarily have to go back. Between the travel time and the prices, I can go elsewhere... but it's lovely! Don't get me wrong, beautiful place, but I don't need to travel 13 hours one way to do it all over again.

After several months of trying to figure things out, I'm finally being paid under the Appendix K program here in Georgia. This program was approved in 2020, but I didn't learn of it until about 2 months ago and it's a damn SHAME.
Guess what? If you have a job, you STILL QUALIFY, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise (I know this to be true in GA).Β

Jobhopper? Who cares. Sometimes you're just here for a good time and not for a long time. One day people will stop asking why you haven't been at a job for longer than 2 years. We all have our reasons. Some of us have no reason at all. Remember that "at-will" employment? It works both ways. Go where the wind blows you and live your best life because life is short!

Let me start by saying I cringed a bit even just typing "circle the wagons." Seriously. It's one of those phrases that drive me absolutely INSANE in the workplace. If you work in the tech space or probably ANY space, you've heard this before. WTF does that even mean? I mean, I know what it means, but why does EVERYONE have to say that? Let's put that one to rest please, for the sake of all that is good in the world.

In today's episode, I touch on something I've seen pop up a ton on IG lately - Unlimited PTO. Is it a scam? I don't think so. You just have to know how to use it and how to have BALANCE. I'm a top user of PTO, but I get the job done. I dare someone to question it!
The other topics in this episode include humanitarian efforts and fundraising for Ukraine in the workplace. It's touchy for some people, but it's definitely something to chat about.
Lastly, we have to talk about the power of NO. Use it and use it often. Sometimes you have to pull that NO card out of your back pocket. Don't feel guilty about it!
