Mary and Haleigh are in the car, filming during Haleigh's visit to Gaming! Highs from the new Spring 2023, including Jonah Kane - the man, the myth, the legend. Low including accidentally going to Germany. Brian Kissinger does get a shout-out, duh.
We talk about all the feels of going back home at the end of the semester. How we and others have done it well and have done it horribly. Cause sometimes going home is the biggest culture shock you've had during the whole study abroad experience.
HOT TAKE: Be ok with the nostalgia of Gaming. Think about your semester before you go home! Frannies - ask people how Austria was & actually listen.
It's been a while but we didn't forget you Fall 2022!
Haleigh and Mary filmed a bit live (ish) from Spring 2023, but we never got a chance to say "tschüss baba" to our friends from the fall. So here's a brief update on where we are and what we are up to over here in Gaming! Plus YOUR rapid-fire hot takes - some hotter than others. Some related to Gaming - some not. Most from Pat Hardy - some not.

Here we are. Filmed the week before thanksgiving, we talk about the impending turkey celebrations, the travesty that was the housing fair, and closing time by Semisonic.
The hot take this time around comes from a place of pure expertise via Mary and Haleigh. We’ve been some places, we’ve seen some things, and we’ve taken a lot of forms of transportations to get there.
Do Americans just hate public transportation because we aren’t use to it? Planes, trains, automobiles?
HOT TAKE: Public transportation is better for the human person’s experience.
This is basically a big public service announcement to console Haleigh about her broken dishwasher. Just kidding. We talk about the Christmas tree and the holiday cheer that is amongst us in the Kartasue. As well as a nice little shout out to our maintenance king Martin Mika. This may not be a hot take per se… but we have some fun things we want to share.
This has been in the works for over a year, buckle up.

For all those waiting in eager anticipation…here’s Mary and Haleigh’s hot take and advice on why you should date in Austria. Big idea here - be open the spontaneous, that’s where God is. We talk about meeting the Pope, Taylor Swift and Wi-Fi issues (that are getting resolved). A guest opinion from Brian Kissinger.
HOT TAKE: don’t lead them on, ask them out.
Here we are for one of our favorite episodes yet! RD Mary and GA Haleigh talk about Clare L. getting her luggage back finally, the new umbrella in the courtyard and corn. But the real juiciness of the episode is the hot takes where we hit the streets (really just the outside the chapel after Mass) and hear what YOU the people of Fall 2022 think about the age old question: should you date in Austria?

Shoes. No shoes. For some reason this is a debate at Franciscan university of Steubenville. We argue the rest of the world kinda has a grip on when to wear shoes and when to go barefoot, but sometimes there needs to be some further clarification for us Frannies. There is a time for all things - a time to be barefoot and a time to have shoes on… let’s explore them together.

We’re back for season 3! Haleigh and Mary kick off the fall 22 semester LIVE from Stift Melk. We chat about our first impressions on the student body, coffee (again) and social media. This is one of our favorites y’all.

To cuff or not to cuff? This is the question of pant fashion these days. In America and sometimes in Europe. But Haleigh and Mary aren’t necessarily fashion gurus so we brought in Sebastian Garzon and Nick Kissinger to bring us the heat for this hot take. We also discuss what really is classified as a jogger and the differences in European and American style.

We are talking everything food this week, with the expert herself. We talk about our Easter celebrations, including some fire hazards, and a lot about chocolate. Sister is often brought to tears because of food. Why you ask? Well Jesus loves her that’s why. Food is communion. Communion can be found in food. Budget and experience food in whole abroad. Guten appetit!

BREAD and GRANOLA! What is the proper way to eat these fundamental elements of the Mensa?? We discuss Spring 2022's feedback on the bread (ball, swirl, loaf) and the granola (chocolate, strawberry, raisin) +/- yogurt. Always? Plus Haleigh shares a true life hack on how to eat Oreos, Mary talks passionately about chips and salsa, and student guest star David Pivonka is the worst of the week.
