Mewow: Adventures in Catastrophe is a podcast about two cats that sometimes let curiosity get the better of them. Follow Claire and Mr. Cuddles on their adventure through life, love and hope in the form of short stories that are told from a cat’s point of view. That’s right! Cats have a lot of life to live. Adventures can be found anywhere and when you’re a young cat on the rise, advice from a few furry friends can go a long way. Along the trek, Sarah and Emily found a little more than they were expecting. From fights to fears to fun, they had a lot checked off the list and the day was just winding down. Let’s see where the adventure follows…off to Mewowville.
Sarah and Emily don’t really know what to expect from their trip to detention and it scares them. The reality of that morning was catching up to them and they would both need to keep it cool if they were going to make it through. Let’s see where the adventure takes us…in Mewowville.
Cats are not purrrfect, that’s just how it is. We’re all different and we all have a different story to tell. Cuddles stood outside of the Vet’s office just across the street. His plan had worked and he was ready to run back to the school but something stopped him. He heard mom’s voice calling for him and he had to make a choice. Fred would have gone through all of this for nothing if he turned back but the way mom sounded when she called for him made his stomach turn. Let’s head back…to Mewowville.
Fred was so chill about this plan and Cuddles really didn’t understand him but cats are different from each other and he needed to remember that. He was happy for the help though and just hoped his plan would get him out of going to this exam. With all of the stress of his appointment he was really starting to feel tired. He really would owe Fred a huge favor…just…not a kidney. See how things are going…in Mewowville.
Cuddles’ plan would have to be purrrfect. No sneaking up on him from behind and trapping him in the bathroom like Claire. That could not happen. He would need to ask a friend for a huge favor and he hoped this would work because he didn’t really have a plan b. That’s usually Claire’s job. She is so much better at this than he is. The vet is scary. Even if you know you’re going to be fine. It’s scary. Ask any cat. The carrier, the car ride, the vet, the pokes, the smells, the sounds. No thanks! This is why Cuddles would need to find a way to get out of his appointment before something bad could happen. No way he was going to that vet, sorry mom. Claire was proud of how they handled Brittany’s party and knew things would be different for Julie from now on. She might even have her own party some day and feel confident enough to be her true self. Claire’s party was around the corner and she couldn’t wait! When Claire and Julie stood in front of Brittany’s apartment, it was hard not to feel a little jealous of the decor. It was…a lot…like no party they had ever been invited to and they certainly weren’t on the list but!…Let’s see where they end up and head back…to Mewowville.
Claire always sort of did have friends in some small way. Was it because she talked a lot? Because she would throw a few punches if some cat decided to box her or her crew in? When Claire overhears her classmate talking about being teased again, her ears perk up. She remembers her from last time and how she didn’t do anything because she was so wrapped up in her own problems. Well, not this time; Claire was going to lend a paw and stop this bullying once and for all.
Claire, Cuddles and Sarah got their disguises ready so they could sneak into the library and get to the bottom of the Pink Punch plan. If anything, they’d go in, gather the data and get out without too much issue. Claire just hoped Oliver would forgive her no matter what they discovered at the library. Oliver couldn’t believe it. If his dad was really a villain, that would mean he didn’t really know his dad at all but it couldn’t be true. Could it? He would have to ask him and look around for anything suspicious at his place when they got back home. Let’s see what he finds out…in Mewowville.
Claire had a rough day, and it was catching up with her. She realized she may have been a little quick to jump into this whole “your Dad is a villain” thing with Oliver and she wondered if there was a way she could still make it right. Let’s see if she can…in Mewowville.
Claire came back feeling a little woozy but all in all good. She calmed down on the ride back home and thought about how she handled that. Things are shaky in Mewowville as Cuddles works up the courage to go after the girl. He has a creative side that helps him set up his pitch in a way that is endearing and adorable.
