Here in the Omega Leadership series each week we unpack some of those principles so that listeners, leaders, and followers can benefit from the 'Omega Leadership Model.' This week Laurie Beth Jones will be talking about the Omega Leader and Spiritual Formation. Focusing on the principle of 'Release: He Sent Them Out Unencumbered.' Building trust from inside your team fosters release and productivity. We look forward to sharing with you.
Laurie Beth Jones serves up a variety of topics each week as she interviews friends like Patsy Clairmont, George Barna, The White House Doctor, and many others. She embraces each person with laughter, poise and grace and encourages the guests on her show to share their hearts, experiences and leadership. Kim's message is that God can heal a broken heart when you give Him all of the pieces of your grief and allow Him to guide you in your grief recovery. When you seek Him with your whole heart, He blesses you with a deep life purpose to where you can encourage others in their grief recovery as well. Grief isn't something to be resented; grief allows the bereaved to know God fuller and reveals how to live life fuller with more purpose. Share the show and send it to someone you know who may be blessed by this story. If you'd like to read the first two chapters of my book, please go to www.westbowpress.com and go to their bookstore. My book is under K.B.H. Niles and the book is called Getting Your Breath Back After Life Knocks It Out of You: A transparent journey of seeking God through grief. Bridget Meuse is an outstanding member of the freshman class at Nazareth Academy in Massachusetts. She excels in academics. She is a leader in student government and more important she is a young woman who is totally commited to ensuring that each member of our community is treated with dignity and respect. Her great care and concern of others shines through in all that she does. I know that both the faculty and student body admire Bridget her honesty and integrity. She makes our community are better place everyday. After Bridge spent the time with Shannell in the Path for Teens sessions I asked her what she thought about the program? She was quick to respond that she learned a great deal about herself, but more important she felt that was she learned about others and what their strengths and weaknesses as identified by the elements. Bridges believes that having gone through this process she is much better able to understand and deal with others. She believes that this will help her not only now but throughout her life.

Regardless of modern perspective, there are absolutes. Nothing challenges the intellectual mindset more than the view that there is, beyond all reasoning, a pragmatic, unwavering perspective of seeing things in black and white, with no gray area. The belief in absolute truth stirs zealous opposition. Shadows Among Us reminds us that there are truths that we can embrace for radical transformation. Author Robin Bertram addresses real life problems with strong biblical answers! What would your life be like if you had the courage and emotional strength to overcome your self-doubt, fear, or concern for what others say about you? How would your relationships change? What if you could reject rejection? Would you want to stay in your current state or would you be willing to embrace radical change? Robin Bertram is one of the most passionate teachers of our time in the field of personal transformation. Overcoming and victorious are two words that best describe Robin’s life journey. With her infectious energy, empathetic spirit, and inspirational messages she offers a refreshing antidote to the self-help, talking head experts and “Oprah theology.” For the past fifteen years, she has reached many throughout the south-east with her positive messages about God’s love, His grace, and the freedom we have in Jesus Christ. She has been very instrumental in the field of praying for transformation of the whole person; body, soul, and spirit.

The Omega Leadership Series is a weekly show that is designed to bring the styles and principles of the Omega Leader to those who lead. Laurie Beth has captured, coined and written about the "Omega Leader" for over a decade. How Jesus recruited, managed and led his team of twelve is our model of Omega Leadership. Taking both the Alpha and Beta styles of management, Jesus added the 'Omega' principles to the mix. He knew that leading others looked and felt different than his present day examples. Laurie Beth continues to capture Jesus' style, teachings, and examples of leadership in her messages, writings and programs. Here in the Omega Leadership series each week we unpack some of those principles so that listeners, leaders, and followers can benefit from the 'Omega Leadership Model.' This week Laurie Beth Jones will be talking about the principles of the Omega Leader and Spiritual Formation. Focusing on the principle of Turning Work into Cause & Teaching Community. We will look at some teachings about how 'The Omega Leader' calls us to develop and implement the Excitment in our Spiritual Development. We look forward to sharing with you.
Laurie Beth is thrilled to welcome Lisa Harper to her show this morning. They will be talking about Women of Faith, Lisa's new book, "Stumbling into Grace", and why Lisa thinks church should be more like an NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meeting.
Rarely are the terms hilarious storyteller and theological scholar used in the same sentence, much less used to describe the same person…but then again, Lisa Harper is anything but stereotypical! She has been lauded as a gifted communicator, whose writing and speaking overflows with colorful pop culture references that connect the dots between the Bible era and modern life. Her style combines sound scriptural exposition with easy-to-relate to anecdotes and comedic wit.
Best-selling author and pastor Max Lucado calls Lisa one of the “best Bible tour guides around,” and speaker Priscilla Evans Shirer adds, “If anyone can help us to hear, understand and receive the truth of Scripture it is Lisa Harper. Her God-given ability to not merely teach the Word but package it in a way that stirs the heart and calls to action is incomparable. When she speaks ears perk up!” She’s written nine books including Holding Out For a Hero: A New Spin on Hebrews; A Perfect Mess: Why You Don’t Have to Worry About Being Good Enough For God and Untamed: How the Wild Side of Jesus Frees Us to Live and Love With Abandon. She also served as a key contributor to the Becoming Devotional Bible for Women and as a columnist for Today’s Christian Woman magazine.

A former Wall Street analyst, with a master’s from Harvard, Shaunti took the path less taken and now applies her analytical skills to the startling research of what men and women each privately think in the workplace and at home; perceptions that we rarely hear but that affect each of us every day whether we realize it or not.

Shaunti’s findings are equally eye-opening in personal relationships; her books, such as For Women Only: What You Need to Know About the Inner Lives of Men, have sold 2 million copies in 20 languages. Currently consulting and speaking globally for women leadership audiences, Shaunti has appeared on media outlets as diverse as The Today Show, CNN, Fox, PBS, Soap Talk, Focus on the Family and Family Life Today. Here in the Omega Leadership series each week we unpack some of those principles so that listeners, leaders, and followers can benefit from the 'Omega Leadership Model.' This week we will be talking about the principles of the Omega Leader and Spiritual Formation. Focusing on the principle of Perspective: Shaping the Invisible and Success. We will look at some teachings about how 'The Omega Leader' calls us to develop and implement Perspective in our Spiritual Development. We look forward to sharing with you.

How much authority do you give your staff members? I have seen groups draw up glorious plans of action to present to boards that meet twice a year and have ten minutes to discuss each project. The answer is usually "Let's table it until next time." Since the people who drew up the plans were not given the authority to implement them, the plans remained just that -- plans that were destined to die in committee. How does the Omega Leader share authority? Studio G in partnership with Laurie Beth Jones and her leadership resources have come together to create a place for women to meet online. Using Jones' "Ancient Wisdom for Visionary Leadership" series we will bring fresh topics and insight each week. Come and learn, share and grow as a women leader as Laurie Beth shares on leadership. If you are looking for a community of women leaders where you can be empowered to lead, encouraged to grow to the next level, and have a positive impact on shaping future thought leaders then join us each week on BTR.

His life-long passion to reach the lost and set the oppressed free has now made him a tireless and leading advocate for the displaced children, women and men of Darfur, Sudan, named by the U.N. as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today. Under Mike’s leadership, Ginghamsburg Church has become known as an early innovator of small group ministry, the Church “media reformation” and cyberministry, with the Ginghamsburg website averaging 50,000 visits monthly from around the world. Since initiating The Sudan Project in January 2005, Ginghamsburg has invested over $4.4 million into humanitarian relief in Darfur. The resultant agricultural project, child development program and safe water initiative are expanding to reach a quarter of a million Sudanese refugees and villagers. As a mentor, Mike travels globally to speak and use his “gift of irritation” to equip ministry leaders to minimize brick and maximize mission so that they may fully deploy the mission of Jesus into the world. Mike is also the author of multiple books for church leaders. Laurie Beth launched a nationwide effort to impact teens back in 2000. Since that time she has not looked back. She believes that every teen should know their mission and vision before leaving high school. If teens have this information as part of their personal education, she feels that there would be less students graduating and then coming back home to rest on their parents sofa. Not to mention the thousands of dollars lost on this learning curve. The Path4Teens and Path4Kids continues to be a strong force in education, clubs, YMCA's and youth groups. Shannell McMillian will be Laurie's guest this week to share her passion for the Path4Teens and how her work is impacting the Los Angeles area schools and community. Shannell is a National Path4Teens Trainer who is passionate about purpose. Join the show on Monday to hear both Laurie Beth and Shannell share about how this program has changed the lives of many teens and continues to be a great bridge for guiding teens into their personal calling.
Advertisers are paid to pare things down to their essence. Take the Nike advertising campaign, for example. Does our mission take a sabbatical while our life takes a different direction? Join Laurie Beth and Gaye as they bring their experience and insight into the 'living your mission' process.
