In this week’s episode we talk about Flags as a character trait to look out for in romantic relationships and friendships. These are red, green and something we’ve decided to call orange flags Lol. Red flags are generally regarded as warning traits to look out for in individuals, green flags are proceed signs while “orange flags” are mixed signals. It is cardinal that we not only look out for these flags in other people but also in ourselves too. Please have a good listen and enjoy the stale humor. Ideally, allowances are paid after a service is provided. However, in popular Zambian culture particularly in the Lusaka dating pool, girlfriend allowances have become a trend. While some couples conform to paying girlfriend allowance, others have opted not to. To give girlfriend allowance or not is an individual choice. If a couple decides the former, arrangements about the amount and at what intervals this money is given are solely up to them. In this week’s episode, we sat down with Luchenga Nyimbiri, founder and CEO of 365 Fashions and talked about this common trend. Have a good listen and enjoy the stale humor. Please do well to rate, review and share our podcast. You can also get interactive with us on Instagram @s_and_ts indaba, we look forward to hearing from you. Every year there is a commemoration of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th and so September is generally considered as Suicide Awareness month. The Indaba convened in this episode with Princess Coach, Barbara Nsokolo who is a trained pastor, social worker and mental health advocate, we saw it fit to have a sit down with her because of the work she does in her space, plus the sensitive nature of this topic required that it be tabled with an expert. Ensure to “Create Hope Through Action” please remember and remind others too that there is help and there is hope. For counseling or in the event of an emergency, contact the Suicide toll free helpline -933 for adults and -116 for children. The fast pace our world moves at makes it sometimes difficult for us to conduct self inventories to check and see that what we ordered, what we want, what we desire, what we wish and hope for is what we’re served. More often than not, we find ourselves in situations where we had to be OK with what is served even though it’s not what we ordered, we settle. We settle because that’s what is expected of us, because the clock is ticking, because we shouldn’t be too picky, because it feels secure and many other reasons. We settle for careers, partners, jobs and even church community. In this episode, we discuss settling in the aforementioned spheres of life. Have a good listen, enjoy the toned down stale humor Lol and do well to rate, review and share our podcast. We apologize beforehand for the audio, this episode was recorded remotely and y’all know how third world internet connectivity is just that, third world, Lol but yeah… for the first time ever, S&T’s Indaba convened with a panel, hurrray!🎙😁 Guys, we feel to converse about Feminism and not mention the Patriarchy would be an injustice to the movement seeing as most contemporary societies are, in practice, patriarchal. So we sat down with Thokozile Lungu, Felisho Kando and Nason Banda to share insights as well as learn, relearn and unlearn about Feminism and the Patriarchy. Have a good listen and do well to rate, review and share our podcast. Get interactive with us on Instagram @s_and_ts indaba, we look forward to hearing from you.
