The County Championship is back and that means so is CCN. Joining Annie and Dan this week to talk you through all the action is none other than Roland Butcher.

Hello, hello

The last CCN for a while as we, along with the County Champ, take an unwanted hiatus. But we head out with a good 'un. Joining Dan Whiting and Sam Dalling is none other than Steve Kirby, Somerset bowling coach, County Championship winner and wannabe wicket keeper.

See you on the other side.

Well hello folks, how are we keeping?

A high-scoring round (particularly  in the 2nd tier), with some stunning victories. Joining Dan and Sam was Bumble himself. What a treat for the ears.

Join Dan Whiting and debutant Martin Emmerson (@MartyCricket) to guide you through all the action. Sam and Annie sadly sidelined for this one but will be back sooner rather than later.

Thanks for all your support.

Hello, hello

Yes you got it...we are back.

No Annie this week. Sigh we know, we know, she is who you come for. But we do have Sam Dalling, Dan Whiting and joining them was Jack Brooks. Somerset star. Sussex star. Just all round general start. Not one you'll want to miss.

Finals day done and dusted then, and Charlotte Edwards takes home the Charlotte Edwards Trophy.

Joining Sam to discuss all the finals day action was none other than Hannah Thompson and, making her pod debut,  Southern Viper Charlotte Taylor.

Wow, in super quick time the Charlotte Edwards Cup group stages are done.

Joining Sam to discuss the final round in depth are Western Storm skipper Sophie Luff and Women's Cricket Chat's Hannah Thompson.

The penultimate round of the Charlotte Edwards Cup is done and dusted. And it is hotting up.

Southern Vipers will be at Northamptonshire on June 11th but who will join them?  Sparks and Stars both have it in their own hands, but don't rule out the Diamonds (last year's beaten finalists remember, they will be desperate to rectify that).

Joining Sam to discuss all the action were Sunrisers' skipper Jo Gardener,  one of the VOICES of English cricket Mark Church and Women's Cricket Chat's very own Hannah Thompson.

Wow. What an honour.  The 2022 County Cricket summer has been graced by some of the finest names in the game, and Sam and Annie were very lucky to spend time in the company of Shan Masoood.

What a lovely young chap he is: he talks his formative years in England, training under 'Foxy' Fowler at Durham, perspective on the game, his love for Derbyshire, the tragic passing of his sister and much, much more.

Not one you will want to miss.

Another round of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, and that can only mean one thing: another review brought to you by County Cricket Natters in conjunction with Women's  Cricket Chat (@WCricketChat).

Joining Sam for Monday's show are Western Storm skipper (and run machine)  Sophie Luff,  Hannah Thompson Radford and, for the first time in the series, Georgie Heath. Magnificent wholesome content for your (non) Bank Holiday Monday.

Another weekend, another round of the CEC. And, naturally, there were four brilliant matches.

Alongside Sam to talk through all the action was a stellar line-up -  Sunrisers' star Jo Gardner,  Western Storm skipper Sophie Luff & esteemed writer / commentator Hannah TR

Enjoy the show folks!

For one final time (well at least for the last time in a few weeks), the gang are together for their usual County Championship review.

And this week Annie, Dan and Sam are joined by a man whom, if rumours are to be believed, is in line to play Richard Branson in a new biopic.

But then again, they are just rumours, and we have Mr Mark Church on the show because he is one of the great orators of cricket.  Despite Mark's protestations, the honour is all ours.

No CC game is left untouched, no stone is left unturned. Unless we don't like the look of it, or it is too heavy.

Same drill folks: listen, enjoy, hate, comment, share, get in touch and keep supporting county cricket.

Look out for our Shan Masood special dropping next week too!

A very special show for you this week folks. Well, they are all special but this one particularly so.

She didn't wear her medal but Jo Gardener has won The Hundred at Lord's with Oval Invincibles. This week she was back in Sunriser's colours at Chelmsford for the opening round of the Charlotte Edwards Cup. Yes, that's the same Charlotte Edwards Annie has dismissed.

Delighted to have Jo joined Dan, Annie & Sam to talk us through the CEC and CC action.  Fair to say there were plenty more runs. Victories for Somerset and Durham, a lot of high-score draws and some, well, love for county cricket.

No Sam this week sadly but Tony Bishop from Guerilla Cricket joins Annie and Dan along with our special guest, Jason Gillespie.

We talk declarations, captaincy, THAT Ben Stokes innings, oh and have I mentioned Middlesex went top of the table?

Have a listen...

Well wasn't that fun? Another week, another CC round. Thick and fast. Love it.

Joining Annie, Sam and Dan to distill the best of the action into 45 minutes or so of (hopefully) easy and tasteful listening is Bumble himself. What a gent.

And if you are after a laugh, Billy Connolly's Curling routine comes highly recommended.

That time of the week again folks. And joining Annie, Dan and Sam was none other than Surrey head coach and Mr T impersonator Gareth Batting.

What a joy to hear a fellow CC enthusiast, well, enthuse.

Listen, share, get in touch...or don't. Your call!

Until next time.

It really is starting to feel like summer. A  Bank Holiday,  sunshine, games taking place on the Oval outfield, hundreds galore, and somewhere in the east, Ben Compton is still batting.

In the top-tier there was a nail-biter at Taunton, Surrey crush Hampshire, Lancs do likewise to Kent.

Just beneath them well, what a win for Glamorgan. Plus some honourable (and intriguing draws) elsewhere.

Joining Dan, Annie and I this week is none other that Essex's Sam Cook (aka - albeit not in the dressing room - Little Chef). He talks us through the nerves (or lack of them) in their thrilling victory, bowling at Ben Compton, Hasan Azad, James Bracey, the need to give ground staff more time to prepare pitches and much, much more.

As ever, thanks for listening. Please do spread the word!

Snow, hail, rain, sunshine, wind. We had it all. That will happen if you start playing cricket in early April.

But that said, what a first week. Division Two in particularly had some thrilling matches.  No shortage  of centuries either.

No Dan Whiting this week but Annie and Sam were joined by Guerilla Cricket's Tony Bishop and Ryan Sidebottom (yes, that one). Their Sunday night reflections are here.

Ryan was "fresh" from a charity football match between Bedale Town FC and a celebrity XI.  Three brilliant causes so if you can spare a few bob, I'm sure they'd be very grateful:

Annie, Dan and Sam are back (well, they never really went away - they just stopped podcasting for a bit) and ready for another season of the County Championship. Naturally then, it is snowing.

Double Dan for the big preview too; Dan Norcross. He of TMS (both versions) fame. Wonderful to be joined by such a brilliant orator of the game.
