Welcome to this weeks episode where Rob and Bob, go behind the ongoing debate around Whitby's purposed visual identify. They both share their opinion on how this is a much larger debate than just if you like the new visual identity or not.
In Episode 5, Rob and Bob discuss the history of Cannabis legality in Canada, and where the major cities in Durham are currently on the legalization front. Finally, they debate the merit of bringing storefront sales to Durham.
Rob and Bob are joined this week by Regional Councillor Kevin Ashe to discuss some of the news from the week on the Provincial Election trail. In addition, we discuss the controversial Durham Live project and the relocation of the casino from Ajax to Pickering. Unfortunately, no one from the Town of Ajax joined the show to discuss their side of the story.
On the second episode of The 8 PolTalk, Rob and Bob memorialize Roger Anderson, a legend in Durham politics. Bob provides a history of debt and deficits in Ontario, and then the hosts debate the recent Ontario Budget. Neither Rob or Bob are thrilled with the new budget.
Rob & Bob introduce a new show focused on Durham Region politics and hot-button issues. While the main focus may be on Durham region, we'll discuss issues at a Provincial and Federal level as well.
