We’re halfway through the 2021 fantasy season, it’s time to check in. Max & Tanner break down the standings top to bottom and make some playoff predictions. Who’s in? Who’s out? Who’s on the cusp? PS - there’s an Easter egg for listeners… who will find it first?!
Tanner and Max catch up on all things fantasy, NFL and Panthers as we check in four weeks into the 2021 SZN. We’re also joined by special guest and first time caller Don Jivine, who breaks down his draft strategy that helped lead to a hot start. Who had the best move so far? What’s the perfect lineup so far? What did we think of the Stephon Gilmore trade? Find out!
M & T take a stroll down memory lane. The draft weekend came and went and despite losing several hot boys to various aliments, the fab five (plus Graham) had a wonderful time in Asheville for draft weekend. We hit the river arts district and enjoyed a leisurely kayak ride on Saturday, followed by plenty of food and beer. And a lil board game action to wrap up the night. You wish you were there!!
The boys get under the hood and inspect the real league's draft. And it's looking like yet another competitive season! We go through some pimps and simps in each round and round that out with some quick hitting week 1 predictions.Â

Welcome back! Season 2 of The Real Pod is here as Max and Tanner dust off the old podcast gear and return for the critically acclaimed Real League Podcast. The boys hit the ground running with what they've been up to during the long and sleepy offseason-- turns out quite a lot! After exchanging pleasantries the boys hit the mock and hit it hard. With more managers picking in the first round since keepers were introduced, a lot of tough choices are going to be made and we fully expect round one to be a brawl to decide "who isn't an idiot for dropping their keepers?" Happens every year folks! Get ready from some twists and turns. Expect the unexpected. Every rose has its thorn. We have nothing to fear but fear itself. It's fantasy 2021 bb!!!!!!
The pod is back! New year, same ol fun. We know you’ve missed us. After a 2 month break, Tanner & Max are back in action with a full breakdown of the Real League 2020 season. A deep dive on all 14 teams’ biggest busts, steals, best rookies, best moves and a whole lot more. Anything and everything you need to know about The Real League Part 15 right here in your ears.
Friday afternoon break room. Max and Tanner turn into Big Ballers on this ep. The boys provide a rundown of the standings as we head into the final stretch. Lots of hearts will be broken and maybe some will be mended this year in the playoffs. Tanner breaks down the remaining strength of schedule and we predict who will make the playoffs. Finally, the boys continue their yearlong pick’em for a chance to win a LaMelo Ball Hornets t-shirt jersey.
A mid afternoon’s dream. M & T take a break from work to deliver this episode on a pleasant Friday afternoon. End-of-work snacks in hand, they dissect the Real League at the halfway mark.

What's the rumpus? At the beginning of this season, M & T made a blood pact with the fantasy gods. We said, if we honor you with a podcast of at least 3 hours of rambling about football per week, you give us winning records. They said, I think slightly under 2 hours is punishment enough. That's where our heroes find themselves at an even 4-2 this week. After missing the past week of poding, Max has suffered crushing body blows, while Tanner stumbled and regained his footing. This week the boys find themselves literally facing off in a poder v poder, mano a mano battle royale.
The boys touch on the major updates from the past two weeks and review the current league standings. The league is top heavy and sure enough, the wheat will be separated from the chaff this week as we head into the second half of the season. Trades have seriously been popping off too and we take an inventory.
The leaves are changing color, the days are getting shorter, the pigskin stings when it hits your hands, and football is in full swing. Pour a hot toddy and take a listen.
Another week another pod for you S.A.P.'s (Sad Addicted Podsters). M & T take a trip down memory lane to a time when staying up all night was an achievement in life. Now we rest our weary heads and toss and turn in fear of losing our entire squad to Covid. Some of you probably do it all week before you go up against Max's juggernaut team, now the only undefeated in the league. ANYWAY....
The boys dive deep on the happenings around the league and take a step back to admire the roadside massacre of teams after the first quarter of the season. Speaking of which, Max was in a car accident last week. He's fine though, thanks for asking!
