As promised (threatened?), I've decided to go ahead and do a reading, with my commentary, of this article. I hope to make these concepts more accessible by putting them into an audio format, and interjecting where I absolutely know my agorist / freedom minded friends are going to differ from where the author is coming from.

Today, someone asked for a referral to a "Sovereignty Lawyer." It doesn't take much more than that to send me off on one of these rants, but today I thought I'd keep it as informational as possible before the inevitable episode where it devolves into drinking and f-bombs.
As promised, here is a link to that excellent article out of the University of Montana. I actually downloaded and saved a copy of this for myself, because, well, I wouldn't put it above a bunch of bored "Sovereigns" to launch an attack to get the page taken down. This episode is more of a rant. It came out of a discussion I jumped into on the After Party, discussing helmets and manufacturer liability. Disclaimer: NO WHERE HERE, OR ANYWHERE ELSE, HAVE I SAID LOOK TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR SAFETY RULES. Not what I'm saying. What I AM saying is that if a seller or manufacturer makes a claim - say, the wheels won't fall off - and the damn wheels fall off (due to their defects, not operator error) - there should be some liability there. In other words - own your s$(t. The alternative is to just say "yeah we don't really know, the wheels might come off." Which is fine; however, you'd better mark down your price because my budget now includes going out and getting an inspection for whatever the thing is, or I'm going to go pay more to purchase from someone who WILL stand behind their work (and, really, what kind of hypothetical agorist community is THAT, if people don't stand behind their work?).
I just don't see how a "voluntaryist" or anarchist or agorist community WORKS if you can't rely on a person's, or a manufacturer's, own product representations. It isn't "no rules," and it isn't "no consequences for messing up," it's "no rulers." As far as I'm concerned, this is a question of ethics - if your product kills someone because you were too tired to tighten the nuts one night, are you liable? I think so, in MY community. Maybe not so in yours, and maybe everyone gets to choose the community they'd rather be in.
I'm certainly open to suggestions, but currently my position is that right now, in THIS society in which we are all (albeit under protest) participating, you need to stand behind your work.

I finally recorded my first episode! No intros, no music, no editing. If I try to do that, it will never get published. I couldn’t think of a better way than to kick this new adventure off on the road to the 2022 TSP Fall Workshop. Hear about how I got here, why I say what I say, and see how many u-turns I have to make between DFW and my hotel.
Background: I have been listening to TSP since the Jetta days. I've been heavily influenced by Jack Spirko, Nicole Sauce, and many others who I found through TSP. Finally, I'm starting to create my OWN content with my spin on things. It could be law - it might not be. Tune in.
