S2EP49, Fear Is A Collective Mindset, How To Escape It, Thought Snob with Paula SwopeWhat does Thought Snob mean? Well, you'll have to watch my interview with Paula Swope to find out. She wrote the book. She was raised to think she was nothing. She spent up until age 28, feeling like she was nothing, bitter, wanting revenge and full of hate. She was a high school dropout, a binge drinker, had ballooned up to size 16, and had a bunch of boyfriends who treated her like crap. What happened next? Well, when I met Paula, she had her stuff together. She was married, had a college degree, a Master's degree, and a loving husband. How did she go from the person she was at 28 to a 46-year-old with a wonderful life? Tune into our interview and get Paula's book, ThoughtSnob to hear her story.Link to book: https://a.co/d/5esIYs6Paula can be found at http://www.paulaswope.comPaula Swope describes herself as a nerd disguised in Gucci sunglasses and 4” Jimmy Choos who will choose a scholarly article over something petty any day of the week. But those who follow her teachings consider her to be the most relatable self-help author they have ever known. Before becoming a self-empowerment expert, Paula Swope raised $60M for impoverished populations. When she was fenced in and punching a time clock, she said, “If I can make a living helping people, I’ll have it made.” That’s precisely what she did as a fundraiser and what she’s doing today as an author, social media influencer, podcast host, and life coach. Her life purpose is to help people transform their lives as she has, which inspired her to write her debut book, Thought SNOB: The Modern Spiritual Playbook for a Better Life. In addition to her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Paula has three certifications from the prestigious Chopra Center.#hilaryburns #gettingrealwithhilary #realtalk #getreal #getfree #inspiration #paulaswope #thoughtsnob #author #fear #wealth #vulnerability #chopracertifiedinstructor #narcissist #Appalachia #mentalhealth #inflammation #bingedrinking #trauma #poverty #waynedyer #revenge #grantwriting #healthyrelationships #forgiveness #thegettingrealwithhilaryshow #prosperity #louisehay #bitterness #love #divorce

Title: S2 EP46 | Saving the Number One Female Valet Service in Los Angeles with Gillian HarrisDid you know there were female valet services? I did not, but I certainly received an education today during my fast-paced, exciting, and whirlwind interview today with Gillian Harris.Gillian started out in the radio business as a reporter, then spent years as a popular, well-known DJ in the LA area, and then, found herself out of a job. She was hired to run a female valet service. After her first ride, she was hooked. For the last 21 years she has been running her own, highly successful company called "Valley of the Dolls." It was named "Best Valet of LA," has served every White House, and has created a sisterhood of female valets.Gillian is moving on from the business and is looking for an entrepreneurial woman to seize the opportunity to take over her company. To get a feel for your new adventure, please watch the interview. You can reach out to Gillian at her website: Valetofthedolls.com Or email her at park@valetofthedolls.com.Thank you, Gillian, for the difference you make for women and for what you are doing for the planet. BIO:Despite the presence of over 100 valet companies in the city, women face significant barriers to entry in this field. While men with no experience can easily secure valet positions, women are consistently turned away. Valet Of The Dolls is the sole exception, offering women a fair shot in a male-dominated industry. Since its founding in 2003, Valet Of The Dolls has built a sterling reputation, becoming the preferred valet service for the entertainment industry and even the White House. In an era where women's rights and empowerment are under threat, current owner, Gillian Harris, has dedicated 21 years to leading the company with a vision of maintaining this legacy. She is committed to finding a successor who will uphold the company's mission of empowering women. She says, "14.7% of all valet attendants are women, while 85.3% are men." Gillian reveals that male competitors are eager to buy her company solely to capture its client base, aiming to eliminate the competition posed by female-led valet service. This stark reality underscores the importance of preserving Valet Of The Dolls. With hundreds of loyal customers and a team of ambitious women, the company’s motto, "A drive for ambition & an Ambition to Drive," epitomizes its spirit.Gillian is available for interviews to discuss the future of Valet Of The Dolls, the challenges facing women in the valet industry, and her vision for sustaining female empowerment in this unique field.Let’s ensure that the legacy of female valets continues to thrive in Los Angeles. Title: S2 EP57 | From Parisian Pop Star to America's Got Talent - Inspiring at Age 83 - Ildy LeeIldy Lee was a poor Hungarian refugee living in Paris when her parents gave her her first guitar. She learned to play it herself, entered a contest, and became a teen pop star sensation in Paris.Ildy is a singer/songwriter who believes it's never too late. Starring in many shows across Europe in her 20's, she left to get married and raise her 2 children. Once they were grown, she became a TV host at age 76, released her first albums at age 81, was on America's Got Talent in her 70's, and is a movie star now at the age of 83. Oh, and let’s not forget her book that will probably be made into a film and the orphanage she helped built with her famous song, the Blind guitarist. Ildy's message is "don't ever give up on your dreams. It is never too late." And she should know. She has more energy and works harder than most people. Thank you, Ildy, for being an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for the difference you are making all over the world. Bio in Ildy’s own words:I am a Singer-songwriter, author, and TV host committed to humanitarian/environmental issues. My songs helped blind children and the homeless, fight violence-pollution-global warming-racial discrimination-war-etc. I sing in 12 languages and wrote 500 songs in three languages. As a destitute political refugee girl I came to Paris with just a suitcase but big dreams! People laughed at my oversized clothes and leaky shoes. When discovered on TV, I became a star and people stopped laughing. Music transformed my sad life into a Cinderella story! So my new friends, don't ever give up! Have big dreams, believe in yourself and be kind to others even if they laugh at you. Raise your head high, keep your eyes on your goals and you will reach them like I did! Since his retirement from law enforcement and government service, besides maintaining his fitness with both the gym and sports to keep his physique in top shape, the author enjoys driving both fast cars and motorcycles in the New York area while also keeping a residence there on Long Island. That's what I learned from my inspiring conversation with Paul Weigel. His doctor's lack of attention to his symptoms almost cost Paul his life. For 5 years, Paul was telling him about what was not right and his doctor ignored it.Thankfully Paul found another doctor who diagnosed his cancer and Paul began treatment that saved his life. Paul's story is inspiring. As a "Weigel" he was used to pushing himself despite pain and illness. He used that to complete an IronMan 6 months after his chemo finished because he was afraid he would die and leave his 3 year old daughter fatherless.Paul's book, Iron Dad is a compelling one. In Iron Dad: A Cancer Survivor’s Story of Discovering Strength, Life, and Love through Fatherhood (June 11, 2024), Weigel celebrates their bond and how to cling to the joy in life, no matter the odds. Still cancer-free 10 years later, he wrote Iron Dad not just for his daughter but to share his story—and hope—with others.Suzanne Stone, president and CEO of Livestrong, says Iron Dad is “a powerful testament to resilience, courage, and the unbreakable bond between father and child.”New York Times bestselling author Dean Karnazes says Paul’s story “is sure to energize and inspire you to live every day to the fullest, as he has chosen to do.”Website: irondadbook.com

Title: S2 EP37 | Getting Real About Gender, Sexuality, Intersex, Trans and Other Topics with Emma Lynn DowdThis conversation had me nervous. I didn't understand terms like intersex, gender fluid, transgender, why people say they, and gender dysphoria. Emma spent most of her life as Jason. That she was intersex.Emma's doctors put her on testosterone to stop herself from continuing to develop as a female. She found out she had a uterus and was developing breasts. The hormones stopped the development, but caused havoc with her body.Emma is speaking out to tell people that what they are being told by the doctors is probably not true. Just because she has returned to her natural feminine mode, it doesn't mean that the years of hormones can be reversed. She implores people of all ages to reach out to her if they have questions about transitioning, identification, or just not feeling good about who they are.Emma is a courageous and unique individual. Title: S2 EP36 | Creating A Healthy and Happy World with Scalar Energy - Tom PaladinoThis conversation has scrambled my brain. Tom Paladino was fascinated with the work of Nikola Tesla as a teenager. For 50 years, Tom has pursued how Tesla's work with Scalar Energy can change the world. It is a new realm - not physical, not chemical - but works with aura and spirit. It is so groundbreaking and new that it is difficult to wrap your head around it. Tom demonstrates how this energy can light a light bulb, balance our chakras, and infuse of with nutrients. He can do all of this through a photograph of you. The photograph is your energetic blueprint. To get your 15 day free trial, just register yourself on his website, http://www.scalarlight.com. It won't hurt you and it could heal you, balance your chakras, and bring you happiness. It's mind-blowing, isn't it?Watch the interview for a better explanation from Tom. It will change the way you see the world. And, his technology can create a new world order where we are not damaging the environment, dependent on oil and electricity, and are living in a happy and healthy world.Thank you, Tom, for your passion, commitment, dedication, courage, and 50 years of work!!Tom Paladino is a Scalar Energy Researcher with over 25 years of experience developing healing techniques designed to help people all over the world to recover from pathogenic infection and experience true health and wellness. The story begins back in Tom’s undergraduate days when he became inspired by his research into the work of various scientists. Exploring the discoveries and theories of Hieronymus, Moray, Priore, and Nikola Tesla, he was intrigued by the existence of an energy that is not part the electromagnetic spectrum. Taking this as his inspiration, he dedicated himself to a course of independent study in order to better understand the possibilities of this unique energy with the ultimate aim of successfully harnessing it. Tom realized that the scalar energy he was studying has been known to many cultures throughout the ages; it may be referred to as prana, chi, radiant energy, zero-point energy, qi, orgone or eloptic energy. Encouraged by the timeless, all- pervading nature of this fundamental energy source, and after years of experimentation and modification, Tom Paladino developed a unique healing technique using scalar energy called Scalar Light that appears to have the ability to transmute pathogens quickly and painlessly. This technique uses photographs of people who are seeking relief from the symptoms of pathogenic diseases. Tom Paladino’s Scalar Light invention uses a remote passive light energy to influence the human bio field. S2 EP30 | Healing the World Through Art and Creating Beauty with Lynnie SterbaLynnie's mother and aunt are artists. Lynnie gravitated towards art throughout her life, but didn't think she was allowed to be an artist. Her father did not think it was a practical career.. Lynnie studied journalism, advertising and then social work instead.Through some transformational work, Lynnie was urged to let herself allow her art to come through her. She got to the other side of her resistance and the rest is history. If you go to her website: lynniesterbaart.com, you will see samples of her art and the multitudes of shows she has been in.In May, Lynnie and her mother are creating a mother/daughter art show. Stay tuned for that.Lynnie Sterba creates paintings as reflections of her passion involving her inner spiritual and objective analysis of the subject. Her thoughts and feelings transcend the ordinary as she restructures nature’s many moods. What is particularly important is the healing nature of her work. Sterba starts every painting by writing the word “love” on the canvas. This process grounds her and endows her work with the inspiration she hopes clients can bring into their own lives. Sterba adapted her calligraphy from the way Zen painters work with line. The bold brush marks and color are influenced by the pure self- expression of the Fauve painters. Fluidity of paint, movement, texture, and design are inspired by the Abstract painters, most notably, Joan Mitchell. Sterba’s work has been featured in art galleries as well as art museums including Los Angeles County Museum of Art Sales and Rental Gallery and the Long Beach Museum of Art Biennial Art Auctions.Lynnie Sterba’s website: lynniesterbaart.com

Guest, Dr. Noah St. John, author of The 7-Figure LifeThis week's interview had me nervous.  When I saw Noah's bio and who had given endorsements for him, I had to calm myself down.  Jack Canfield?  Stephen Covey?  Harvey MacKay?  He is way out of my league. After taking some deep breaths, we started recording.  Noah is a pleasure to talk to.  He is real and down to earth. Growing up "dirt-poor," he knew he wanted a different life. He became the self-proclaimed nerdiest nerd of self-help, trying to learn how to create financial success. He hired multiple "success" gurus and ended up living in his parent's basement with $42,000 in debt.  He almost gave up entirely, seconds away from ending his life, but was stopped at the last minute.  He decided God saved him for a purpose. He kept going, identified his purpose, wrote his first book, and got his first break meeting Jack Canfield. And the rest, as they say, is history. DR. NOAH ST. Guest, David WinningDavid Winning has directed over 45 feature movies, 29 series, and has over 180 TV credits. When I heard he directed movies for the Hallmark Channel, I reached out to him, hoping we could schedule an interview. David is gracious, authentic, and has an amazing smile. His story fascinated me and I hope you will love it too.David always loved movies. He watched them as a child, and was fascinated by how they worked and what makes some work and some not. When his Dad bought him a movie camera at 10, David's natural curiosity kicked in and has never stopped. He is always looking to make his films the best they can be, works hard, and loves new challenges. He made his first move in his 20's, teaching himself everything him knew by watching, trying, and revising, and is still loving his life and directing movies 40 years later. This interview was fun, fascinating and life-changing for me. I loved getting into David's mind to find out how he knows how to direct. Who does this part? How do you do it on budget? How do you work with the crew and actors? Are you stressed? How do you keep going when others have stopped?David is a generous, fun-loving person who enjoys his career. Each movie is a challenge to make it great, entertaining, and remembered. David knows how to pull the audience in and have them forget their lives while they watch. We include a 4-minute Director's Reel of his incredible movies. His debut feature Storm was produced by him in his 20s, learning as he went, instead of going to film school. That movie was picked up after 170 rejections. That led him to his first series, Friday the 13th, almost 40 years ago.David's career is fascinating. His wants to inspire everyone who has a dream to pursue it. Don't let someone steal it and don't give up. He loves that his hobby is his career and encourages everyone to do what they love. You can find all sorts of articles, film clips, and more on David's website davidwinning.comStay tuned for 2 new movies on the Hallmark channel this year: Field Day in the fall, starring Rachel Boston, and a new Christmas movie in December starring Lori Loughlin. .Thank you, David, for your inspiration and for encouraging all of us to turn our hobbies into work."Never give up on your dreams," David Winning.

Guest, Peter Young, Amazon best selling memoir Stop The Tall Man, Save The TigerWant to have your eyes opened? Today I interviewed, Peter Young, author of "Stop the Tall Man, Save the Tiger."  I can't stop thinking about our conversation.  I had read Peter's book and was lucky to be able to ask him all the questions I had after reading it."Did you know you were in a cult?""Did you wonder if something was wrong?""Did you have doubts?""How does someone know how to do this to you?""Did you do it because your wife was beautiful?"Peter was gracious enough to answer all of my questions as he told his story.  I recommend his book. Here is a quote that says it all:  "A must-read to be warned of the dangers of cult leaders, who appear with charm, intelligence, and knowledge, but slowly prey on your vulnerabilities. Peter’s story could happen to anyone."When you are in a cult, you don't know it.  Peter was raised by 2 loving Christian parents in a nice home.  He was the youngest of 5 boys, had a good college degree and a growing career.  And yet, he found himself brainwashed for over 2 years and trying to get approval from the cult leader. If you know people who are being isolated and you are worried about them, reach out to Peter.  His goal is to spread the word and educate people on cults.

Guest, Bill Cohen, Why would I write a book about God's only law? Because my whole life led me to itI had two significant influences, my dad and my grandmother when I was young. And I lived in the space between them.My dad joined the Merchant Marines during World War II. After the war, he was a professional boxer for a short time, and he taught me to fight for everything I wanted. He believed laws were suggestions to be navigated when they got in the way.My grandmother escaped from Yugoslavia just before World War I. She was a Catholic and believed Jesus is the Son of God. She went to church every Sunday and lived her life following Jesus. She never preached Jesus. She just lived her belief. I felt her unconditional love and enjoyed countless hours learning from her, from cooking to just sitting down talking about life. I didn't understand the religion, the services were in Latin, and the memorized traditions were confusing; kneeling, standing, sitting, and reciting. From the time I first remember going to church until I graduated from college, I was wild, and all of my learning about religion came from experiencing my grandmother's love. Once I graduated, my beliefs were tossed from wave to wave. They were continually influenced by the girl I was dating at the time or the friends I was hanging out with. Serious thought was not part of the process. Then, one day I was 40 years old and had two young children. I was now responsible. What did it all mean? How was I going to teach them about life? What could I possibly bring to the table? So, I began studying philosophers' beliefs, for they had devoted their lives to the subject. In chronological order, I systematically went through them from Socrates's logical arguments and his belief in a god, through Thomas Aquinas' first mover, and finally C.S. Lewis' attempt to validate his atheism, which led him to Jesus and the God of the Bible. Then, Lewis led me to read the Bible. So, I read the Bible daily, finishing it once a year for the next four years. Each time I read it, more layers of the truth became evident. Nothing else I had ever read was more truthful when viewed through the lens of real life.In the past 30 years, many people have aided me in searching for the truth of this life. I am grateful for their caring and the love they have shown me. Some had provided insight when verses were confusing, some lived God's love as examples, and some challenged me when I was off the path to eternity. Here is a very partial list of those Godly souls: Mary Brajkovich, Billy Graham, George Vandeman, Dick Alesch, Steve Tiebout, Mark Finley, Shawn Boonstra, Mark Ferrell, Michael Youssef, Matt Chandler, and finally, the love of my life, Gail Cohen. One of God's gifts to me is the ability to condense complicated information, leaving the essence to be absorbed without the distractions of unnecessary details. This is probably why I was drawn to a degree in Computer Science. This gift, and the challenge the Bible presents, is the reason for this book. May you see the heart of the Lord in the pages you are about to read, and may His law of love draw you to Him, as it did me.
