What a time it is for Mets fans. An abysmal season has led to the club finally selling. Max Scherzer was traded this past Saturday to the Rangers in exchange for SS/2B/CF Luisangel Acuna as well as David Robertson having been shipped off to Miami a few days prior.

The Mets will begin the second half of their season tomorrow night versus the Los Angeles Dodgers with Justin Verlander set to take the hill. The club was not however expecting to be staring down an 18.5 deficit in the NL East nor being 7 games behind the final wild card spot, but here they are at 42-48.

We can only hope they can get more consistent and right the ship - the Braves, Pirates and Yankees are looming...#LGM.

We discuss the aforementioned poor play as well as talk and give opinions on what was a memorable and hopefully season-altering series win for the club vs Tampa. We'll additionally chop it up about the dominance we saw on display from Kodai Senga, the impact the "Baby Mets" are having on the squad as well as how each of us would construct the current lineup given the new additions to the active roster (which now also includes Gary Sanchez). Recorded May 9th (Pre-Scherzer Scratch)
At 17-18, the Mets have lost 11 of their last 14 and are entering a three game set beginning tonight in Cincinnati. Max Scherzer who was scheduled to pitch tonight was scratched due to neck spasms hours after recording, David Peterson filled in horribly. The rotation in general is in shambles ranking 27th in the bigs as their starters are averaging 4.1 IP per start, a collective 5.34 ERA (24th) while allowing the third most home runs in baseball with 28. In addition to the rotation, we discuss the impact the lack of length provided by the starters is having on the bullpen as well as discussing the current state of confidence we have in what has been an inconsistent offense thus far.
We touch upon the few bright spots in Brett Baty & Francisco Alvarez as well as Bid Adieu to Mets Legend Matt Harvey who announced his retirement over the weekend.

Through 31 games, the boys are 16-15 and are currently struggling a tad. Regardless of whose taking the bump to start, the rotation has continuously failed to go beyond 5 innings, causing major strain and essentially setting the bullpen up to fail. We'll discuss Buck Showalters' decision to keep Denyi Reyes in for a second inning during game 1 of Sunday's double header as well as their comeback win in game 2. We then dive into today's double header in Detroit where the Mets were swept by the lowly Tigers. Max Scherzer returns and Justin Verlander debuts tomorrow.

Through 24 games the Mets are sitting at 14-10 and given multiple circumstances regarding the rotation (Injuries, Suspensions, Failing to go more than 6 innings) we're rather content with their start. After a successful 7-3 homestand where the club swept Oakland, took 2/3 from the Dodgers and then split a four game set with San Francisco - the boys return home for a three game set beginning tonight with the Washington Nationals, followed by a 4 game set with our good buddies, the Atlanta Braves- all of which we'll preview!
We'll also dive into the Max Scherzer incident, the recent struggles of Kodai Senga & David Peterson as well as Carlos Carrasco heading to the IL. We break down the superb start in San Fran by Joey Lucchesi as well as the looming return of Veteran Ace Justin Verlander who looks set to make his Mets debut in Detroit on May 2nd.

There are some concerns as the club heads west as Carlos Carrasco looks miserable and a third of the starting lineup - Canha, Escobar and Nido - look absolutely lost at the dish.
