We’ve talked about breakfast and dinner, now let’s dive into snacks ;)
Many of us love our snacks! But when we start using the Hunger Scale, it’s one of the first things we end up questioning. Especially because many snack foods are highly palatable, processed foods that don’t have a lot of staying power.
In this episode, I give you a list of my favorite protein-based snacks, sure to get you over the hump to your next meal so you don’t overeat from over-hunger.

Staying motivated when we have a good amount of weight to lose can be a challenge. In today’s episode of the Weight Loss for Fertility podcast, we talk about how to create it when we feel a bit of a lull. Transitions are a perfect opportunity to do this.
I share a two-step process to help you create that motivation. By acknowledging, celebrating, and learning from one period – we move on to the next with newfound hope and energy.
Every long-term change needs a little reinvigoration every once in a while–if that’s you right now, this one's for you.

Waiting during the fertility process can be incredibly challenging, especially when it comes to managing emotions and avoiding emotional eating. But, it’s possible to navigate this waiting period without gaining weight, and I’m going to tell you how in this episode.
The key is to anticipate and accept the emotions that are bound to come up during these waiting periods–feelings like worry, anxiety, and overwhelm. When we take the time to plan for these feelings, we can more easily prioritize self-care and offer ourselves grace and support during the entire process, all without judgment.
I’m also sharing an emergency strategy you can use when you feel anxiety and worry sneaking in. By using the methods shared in this episode, you can navigate the waiting period without turning to emotional eating.
You, my friend, are capable of handling difficult emotions without food.
Promise.

Overeating is the ONLY reason we gain weight.
If we stop overeating we lose weight. Every time.
We define overeating as any eating we do when we’re not physically hungry.
So grabbing that cookie from the breakroom when we’re bored or mindlessly munching on chips after dinner when we've had a hard day–that’s overeating.
It’s also emotional eating and it’s the number one reason we overeat.
Oftentimes, emotional eating is developed as a coping mechanism in childhood, and it served its purpose–it protected you long enough to get you here to adulthood.
But its usefulness has worn out if you’re looking to lose weight.
In this episode, learn how to anticipate your personal emotional eating patterns and transform them.
Weight loss is effortless after that.

Weight loss depends on changing current behaviors. And in the beginning, we may find it easy to do.
Great!
But what happens if you hit a wall?
When you’re feeling stuck in weight loss, specifically, when you're having trouble with behavior you're wanting to change…like:
Or maybe it’s a positive habit that you want to create, but can’t seem to make it stick like:
Either way, when you’re just REALLY struggling with moving forward, unable to make these things you desire to happen, it can feel especially frustrating.
In this episode, I give you the answer to get you moving again.
It always works. In fact, it’s the place to start when you’re stuck with anything in your life.
It’s your brain.
Your thoughts.
The sentences running around in your head, often unnoticed. That’s the problem–we have to start noticing them.
First, we notice, then we get curious about the thoughts, and eventually, we get great at answering every question our brain offers up.
This skill is all you need to keep losing weight, creating habits, and feeling great.
Let me know what you discover! What thoughts are lurking around in there? Find me on instagram @stephaniefeinmd DM anytime 🙂

A question I get quite often is “How fast can I lose weight?” While that question may seem straightforward enough, it’s usually asked from a place of desperation, frustration, and panic– just wanting to get the weight off yesterday.
So when the answer isn’t “all of it by tomorrow” the bubble bursts and, perhaps reluctantly, there’s room for a new understanding. In this episode, I help you rephrase the question to better serve you, your weight loss, and your well-being long-term.
Remember, we want sustainable weight loss. A new ease in relationship with food.
Now that feels GOOD.
I help my clients lose fat forever, in a way that's healthy–a way that honors, respects, and works WITH their body and lifestyle.
I’m here to help you too.

Last week we talked about the shortcut to stopping overeating episode 37--if you haven't listened to it, be sure to check it out after listening to this one as that episode and this one relate to each other in important ways!
Today’s episode is about judgment. Specifically, self-judgment and self-criticism.
Judgment is what keeps us stuck. Both literally in weight loss plateaus and figuratively in feelings of frustration and confusion.
Even if we have the skills we need to lose weight, we can't use them effectively if we're judging ourselves and our attempts at progress.
Learning to recognize critical thoughts by observing them WITHOUT judgment is how we start. And the way we do that is explained in the previous episode (37).
Getting this concept and putting it into practice will get you where you want to go. Every time.

Today we talk about an important skill that’s needed in order to stop overeating.
We have to know why we overeat.
In order to get to the understanding of our why, we need to be able to observe ourselves, our thinking, and our behavior.
The way we get good at observing is through . . . MEDITATION 🙂
In this episode, I’m going to share with you exactly how you can develop a SHORT meditation practice. It will serve as an incredible tool to help you to get to the root cause of why you’re overeating.
Meditation is a shortcut to permanent weight loss.
It will help you stop overeating.
By allowing you to see your current thoughts, understand how they affect your current behavior and gently shift them to support your new way of eating–painlessly and permanently.
That’s my goal for you -- painless permanent weight loss

When we pay attention to the negative we feel bad. When we focus on what we can appreciate. We feel better. It's human nature.
Negative thoughts float in our minds all the time. It’s a habit most of us have gotten into.
But it doesn’t have to derail us. I’ll show you how in this episode of the Weight Loss for Fertility podcast.
We can train ourselves to look for the good that is already there. Then we feel better.
When we feel better we make better decisions easily.
This episode will teach you all about the two things you need to get better at for easy sustainable weight loss:
THIS is how we consistently make better decisions about our health and food.
This is exactly how to lose and maintain weight.
It starts and ends in our minds.

Today we're having a Hunger Scale Spotlight, we're examining +3 on the scale. If you haven’t already, go back and check out episode 2 where I tell you all about the hunger scale and how to use it, and then episode 21 where we highlight -1 on the hunger scale.
The hunger scale is such a useful tool for weight loss – It’s always with you and sets you up for long-term success with losing weight & keeping it off. All you have to do is figure out your own personal version of it.
Some of the places people run into trouble with the hunger scale include:
Most weight loss happens between these two numbers, so it’s important to remember that +3 is our teacher. When we've gone too far, we note it and examine how/why we got there--without judgment. Then we make a plan for next time.
