When it comes to spiritual growth, it is vital to follow the promptings of The Spirit. These are invitations from The Lord to help us be elevated and help us and others out.
Quotes:"Because of your suffering, you can have compassion on people who are suffering in a similar way."
"This is real life, we are preparing to become more like Him."
"It's good to trust those things, really good to trust those things. You have no idea what could be cooking in those..."
God will fulfill His promises, but He will do it in His own way. Alma 58:11 gives me a lot of confidence with this. Even when God doesn't answer my prayers the way that I would have liked Him to - I can trust that He knows me better than I do, and what I need.

Sometimes God seems to be silent on some matters. Perhaps this is a time where He's like us to inspect our motivations and see if this is something that we really would like to have.

There are plenty of things that we do not need to understand right now. With these things, it is good to trust, learn what we can, and take things a day at a time. If we continue to work on ourselves, cultivate a vision, and seek God's mercies things will all work out.,

God does desire to speak with you. He desires to help you out with wherever you are at in your journey.
Apologies that I haven't uploaded this until now. I recently moved out of my parent's house and so I've been adjusting to that. I do have the podcast all scheduled out to Tuesday though with episodes for each day I missed. Hope they are a blessing to you :)
My faith has been tested recently. I feel it and it has been bringing me to my knees. I feel that the Lord has been telling me about things that are going to happen, and it's kind of hard for me to believe.
It's easy to look at what I am currently facing and feel that unbelief but this scripture came to mind so I made an episode about it. It's okay to feel this way, the Lord is mindful and is able to lift up from wherever we are at. :)

I have seen this many times and I know the Lord has done this for me many times - both in putting me in others' lives, and putting them in mine.

Our faith and light are going to be tested. This is a part of being here on this earth. Sometimes when we are nothing but good a trial comes in that really tests our faith.
Today I wanted to dive into how trusting in God's blessings and waiting on Him leads to additional light and joy, and I did this using Proverbs 2:11 as a background.

Fear of the Lord is interesting. 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, so how could fear be a good thing?
I believe that fear in this context is more about reverence, confidence in God's infinite ability to keep eternal promises, and hope than what we may think of as fear.
I dove into this thought for a bit, using Proverbs 1:7 to help frame the conversation.
The Lord is mighty to help you escape temptation at any time. He can warn you of things that are going to come into your path a long time before they do. Heed these promptings and feelings, and He will help you get to higher ground so you are more able to lift up others.

God sees our lives differently than we do. We can rejoice in knowing that He is able to behold our entire lives and that He has excitement for us. I talked more about this, using D&C 58:3 as a background.
God is able to extend our mortal capacities through the Spirit. Prioritizing things of the Spirit leads to all kinds of upstream benefits. Things will make more sense over time and we need to trust in what God is doing in our lives and what it looks like He's not doing.

I also talked about the Top 5 things I'm willing to suffer for. This is something I came up with after my midnight run last week. It helps me to not get lost in things that are not helping me to grow and become who I need to become.

I find that I often lock in on choices in advance. This is good... except in times where the Lord clearly desires to show His hand, and architect a different outcome. It doesn't have to make sense, but trusting Him and being willing to make chances spur of the moment can change everything.

The Savior knew how to get to the heart of a matter. His ability to discern what someone really needed paved the way to build people up to change and grow. PPS: I didn't finish my mission story haha. When I shared 2 Timothy 1:7 with them they said that that was what they needed to hear. The scripture spoke to them on a deeper level, far deeper than just the words. We planned to start meeting with them but we ended up getting ghosted soon after. Still, I'll never forget that experience of sharing this scripture with them in the park.
I am fascinated with how the Lord uses tender mercies to lift us up and know that we are infinitely loved. A kind word, song in a store, or running into a friend - these can all be wonderful tender mercies in our lives!

The Lord is mighty to rescue, refresh, and rebuild us. A fantastic example of this is in Alma 49. Even though the peoples' defenses were once trash, they didn't have to stay that way!
They were rebuilt by the means of Moroni, and were stronger the next time the Lamanites came! We too, can trust in the Lord's infinite ability to help us rebuild in our lives, regardless of what we've gone through! Help this episode helps you like it did for me :)

There are no words to adequately measure or explain the infinite worth of a soul. When we stray, fall, and struggle, it changes nothing about how God sees us. I wanted to make an episode diving deeper into this truth, with Luke 15:4 as a backdrop.

There's a lot of great people out there that want to help you live a better life or solve any kind of problem or struggle you may be facing right now. Although this is admirable, a lot of these people are more blind guides than teachers that are good to follow. It's best to lean on the Lord and get help from these sources as needed.
It's tough to do that though! I have a self-development podcast myself and I've fallen into the trap of asking Google or looking at My Subscriptions feed on YouTube with different podcasts to find answers. The scriptures have plenty of warnings on not putting man's wisdom above God's, and in not being led away by blind guides.
I dove more into this topic and shared some personal stories from my life that I thought may be helpful. The Flecks of Gold podcast has been on hiatus for a little bit but I've recently had a serious second wind with it. Your door of life is worth knocking on. It's SO worth knocking on (and is even worth busting down the door!) so Christ can enfold you powerfully (and eventually eternally) in the arms of His love.
Yet a lot of that experience, when it happens, and how much it happens is up to us. He respects our agency and lived a perfect life so that we would have that ability.
He's always knocking, and today I wanted to share some stories and thoughts from my life that may bring some illumination to those struggling.

I talked about the power of the word, "remember", and a recent mission visit to my mission in the Idaho Nampa Mission. It was very restorative and beautiful for me.
I also talked about elite, successful agents, who likely remind themselves of the successful missions that they have done to help them participate in upcoming ones.
