Life, Lessons, and Luxury is the vocal show of the blog on DominiqueLeshayAlston.com with added stories, bonus advice, and real experience from a certified Life and Mindfulness coach.
This episode focuses on my recent health issues, what I was dealing with mentally, and how I've overcome these trials. I'm not in the clear but living with a clearer mindset than I have for many months. Taking control of my life, my health, and what I allow myself to deal with. Do not let the temporary circumstances of your life dictate how you live. Let go of what is killing you.

Duane Myko Cheers is the founder of Everything Legendary plant-based burgers. He is a best-selling author, motivational speaker, and founder of Should Could Dream.
He’s been called a role-model mentor and an innovator entrepreneur. Now, add industry disrupter to the list. Duane Myko, the founder and CEO of Everything Legendary is shaking up the meat replacement market with a new, plant-based meat company that has grown from its pop-up sampling, guerilla-marketing introduction to a well-received national product rollout, both online and in major supermarket chains across the country. His success has captured the attention of Shark Tank producers where this year, he landed the chance to pitch the Sharks - and the country - on his concept.
In founding Everything Legendary, Duane partnered with business strategist Danita Claytor and Chef Jumoke Jackson. He built on a simple, good-tasting, plant-based food concept that was inspired by his mother. In her life-long battle with Lupus, his mother had turned to a vegan diet for better health. Seeing her search for a meat substitute that actually tasted good, Duane committed to developing a plant-based meat that she could enjoy and, as he put it, “is created in a kitchen, not a science lab!” A man of his word, in 2019, Everything Legendary was born.
Entrepreneurship is not new to Duane. He fell in love with building businesses in his junior year of college, when he established Movie Solution, an entertainment vending machine company that provided movie and video game rentals for one dollar to students.
Duane was influenced by time spent in South Africa when his father worked as an executive for a Fortune 500 company there, and he returned home, deeply touched by the culture he experienced, and fiercely committed to set an example and help today’s youth recognize their own potential. He created Should Could Dream, a motivational and inspirational speaking tour that travels around the world inspiring students to work hard, never settle and dream big. Since 2009, the tour has traveled to over 500 schools and reached more than 1 million students globally.
Duane makes his home in the Washington D.C. area where he is guiding the growth of Everything Legendary and continuing his work to teach youth to dream big and to become “legendary.”
