The Sistriarchy Sessions is a women's empowerment podcast where we discuss topics around self-love, social issues, spiritual growth, and personal development. We highlight voices of women (particularly women of color, LGBTQ+ people, and women of all shapes, sizes, and abilities) sharing their story of the barriers they've overcome and the lessons they've learned on their journey. Through our storytelling, we pass on wisdom to others. Our mission is to inspire other women to lean into their power, transform their lives, and love themselves radically.
Listen in as I share my journey of self-discovery and evolution in my coaching business. Starting off as a nutrition consultant, I realized the impact I could make by combining my nutrition expertise with body image and mindset coaching. However, it wasn't all smooth sailing - despite launching successful programs and witnessing incredible transformations in my clients, I hit a point of resistance. But with the guidance of a business coach, I learned a valuable lesson: sometimes, it’s okay to step back, to not be in constant production mode, and simply breathe.
Pivoting in a business can be challenging, but it is often a necessary part of growth. After two years of steadfastly holding on to my identity as a Body and Nutrition Empowerment Coach, I've begun to embrace a new direction. I'll reveal how initial successes gave way to a gnawing resistance, and how it forced me to reassess my path, understand the power of self-permission, and embrace my true identity. I am filled with gratitude for the unfolding journey and eagerly anticipate where this new path will lead. I hope you'll join me as I continue to unearth new insights and grow, both personally and professionally.

For the very first time in the history of The Sistriarchy Sessions, we have our first guest who identifies as a man - Jeremy Falk.
Jeremy enlightened us on the critical role of men's circles in today's society - transforming men's lives by unlocking their true selves and their higher purpose. Our conversation wove its way through the feminine and masculine dynamics, and how the feminine aspect can elevate masculine consciousness.
Jeremy touches on the importance of spaces that foster connection with nature, solitary reflection, and camaraderie among men. We dissect the rising acceptance of men seeking help and the art of inviting them into these experiences. Listen in on this thought-provoking exploration of the significant impact men's circles have on individuals and their communities.

In this episode, I share the transformative journey of a recent retreat in Costa Rica where I was learning and embodying Layla Martin’s VITA Method, a tantric-based approach to sex, love, and relationships. I also had the opportunity to have my fellow participants share their experiences from the life-changing retreat.
The retreat was a space where we could explore our sexuality and femininity in a supportive environment, leading to the creation of empowering connections and a deep sense of sisterhood/siblinghood. From the transformative breathwork sessions to the wild and beautiful experiences we had, this retreat was a journey of liberation and self-love. This retreat left us with a newfound love for our bodies and a profound understanding of the potential of community.

In this episode, I got a chance to chat with my friend, Hutch, a multi-disciplinary artist based in Oakland. Hutch opened up about their journey in art and music, which started at Burning Man and continued with their studies in sculpture at the San Francisco Art Institute. Hutch shares the empowering message behind their recently released music video, I'm Hutchtastic, which is all about standing up to haters and embracing self-worth.
We discussed the importance of dismantling systems of oppression and societal pressures to conform. Hutch shared insights from books like The Body Is Not An Apology by Sonya Renee Taylor and You Have the Right to Remain Fat by Virgie Tovar, which can help individuals understand how fatphobia is a tool used by the patriarchy to suppress women and fems. Join us as we chat about the power of self-love and the importance of embracing our own unique journeys, reminding ourselves and our listeners that we are powerful and capable of doing great things.

I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with the incredibly insightful Drue Michael, a podcaster, comedian, and performer, about their journey through the realms of sex, sexuality, gender, and body image. As the creator of the podcast, Make Sex With Me, Drue began the podcast during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to foster a sense of community and self-discovery. Drew shares their journey of using podcasting as a form of journaling to discuss and learn about sex, sexuality, gender, and body image.
Alongside discussing the power of podcasting as a tool for storytelling and connection, we dig into the importance of healing generational wounds and embracing the ever-changing nature of our bodies.

In this episode, I sat down with Lisa Timmons, a writer in the entertainment industry and creator of hilarious celebrity parody lip dubs. We discuss her journey from pursuing her dream of writing for television and film to finding a way to merge her activism with her creative aspirations during the pandemic.
We peel back the layers on the powerful influence of celebrity culture and the illusion of Hollywood and television. Lisa shares her insights on the divide between content creators and consumers, as well as how the industry can manipulate our thoughts and beliefs.
In a world where independent creators often struggle to find their footing, Lisa's journey is a testament to the power of social media platforms like Instagram. Through her authentic voice, sharp wit, and signature fart noises, she's not only carved a unique path for herself but has also inspired countless others to do the same.

ChiChi interviews her first guest on the podcast - her mom! ChiChi’s mom (her name is Trea Yip) is her first role model when it comes to being a strong, empowered woman. Trea has broken down many barriers in her lifetime, proved those who doubted her wrong, and paved the way for those who follow in her footsteps.
Her story is incredibly inspiring - immigrating to the United States from China without knowing anyone or knowing any English. And she built a life for her and her family from there.

ChiChi talks about one of her favorite subjects - society’s ideal beauty standards and the impact it has on women’s mental health. She dissects where these beauty standards come from, how it is portrayed in the media, and perpetuated by social media.
When we realize that there are systems and structures that deliberately uphold these standards and profit off the insecurities it creates, we can choose to love ourselves as an act of rebellion.

ChiChi shares her story about her struggles with body image and food and feeling unworthy. After spending the majority of her life obsessing about her weight, she came to the realization that her worthiness is not tied to a number on a scale.
Her experience is what inspired her to become a Self-Love Empowerment Coach to help women transform their relationship with their body and food so they can love themselves radically.
