In this podcast, we talk all things that is Strength Warehouse. Our programs, our coaches, the gym itself, nutrition, strength training along with competitions we hold. We want to help bring Strength training knowledge to the world. We will bring on guests from inside of the fitness industry, along with weekly Q&A sessions.
This week on the Everyday Strength Project, we're sitting down with Coach Nick to learn more about the coach behind the programming at Strength Warehouse and BOXiT Fitness. We talk about his background, what led him into coaching, his philosophy on building strength that lasts, and why meeting people where they're at is so important. We also dive into the specialty programs he's developing and what members can expect in the future. Whether you're just getting started or you've been training for years, this conversation is packed with practical advice and a look behind the scenes at how we help people get stronger for life.
Endurance athletes spend countless hours building their engine, but many overlook one of the biggest performance boosters available: strength training.
In this episode, we talk about why lifting weights isn't just for powerlifters or bodybuilders. We cover how strength training can improve running and cycling economy, increase power output, reduce the risk of injury, and help you stay stronger through long races and tough training blocks. We also break down common myths, how often endurance athletes should lift, and how to add strength training without sacrificing endurance performance.
Whether you're training for your first 5K, a marathon, a triathlon, or just want to perform better outdoors, this episode will show you why getting stronger can help you go farther.

Should You Work Out While Injured?
This week we tackle a question I hear all the time:
"Should I keep working out if I'm injured?"
For most people, the answer is yes.
Now, that doesn't mean ignoring pain or trying to be a hero. It means finding ways to keep moving and training safely while your body heals.
Too often people get hurt, stop doing everything, and then a few weeks later they feel even worse. They're stiffer, weaker, more deconditioned, and now they're trying to recover from the injury and the loss of fitness.
In this episode, we talk about the difference between training through an injury and training around an injury. We discuss how to modify movements, adjust intensity, and continue building strength without making things worse.
The reality is that movement is often one of the best things you can do for recovery. In many cases, completely shutting down isn't the answer.
If you've ever wondered whether you should keep lifting, walking, hiking, boxing, or exercising while dealing with an injury, this episode is for you.
Because getting hurt doesn't mean you have to stop moving. It just means you might need a different game plan for a while.
🎧 Give it a listen and let us know what you think. #EverydayStrengthProject 💪
When Megan and I opened our gyms, we didn't set out to become leaders.
Honestly, we just wanted to create a place where people could get stronger, healthier, and feel like they belonged.
What happened next surprised us.
Over the years, the community that formed around Strength Warehouse and BOXiT became something much bigger than a gym. It became a place where friendships were built, confidence was restored, goals were achieved, and people showed up for each other during life's highs and lows.
Somewhere along the way, we realized that leadership wasn't about having a title or standing at the front of the room. Leadership happened because people trusted us to help guide the culture, protect the community, and continue creating an environment where others could thrive.
In this episode of the Everyday Strength Project, I share what Megan and I have learned from building communities rather than simply building businesses. We talk about how leadership often finds you when you focus on serving others, why strong communities create strong leaders, and how the relationships we build can have a bigger impact than we ever imagined.
If you've ever wondered how leadership develops naturally, how community shapes culture, or how ordinary people can create extraordinary impact, this episode is for you.
Because sometimes leadership isn't something you chase.
It's something that grows when you invest in people.
On this episode of The Everyday Strength Project, I sit down and talk about my experience using shockwave therapy during my shoulder recovery journey. As someone who loves lifting, competing, working with my hands, and staying active, shoulder pain was starting to impact a lot more than just training.
We dive into what shockwave therapy actually is, what the treatments felt like, why I decided to try it, and the changes I've noticed throughout recovery. I also talk honestly about the frustrations that come with injuries, trying to balance recovery with training, and the mental side of slowing down when your body forces you to.
This episode is for anyone dealing with nagging injuries, joint pain, setbacks in training, or just wanting to hear a real conversation about recovery and staying in the game long term.
Strength isn't just about lifting heavy. Sometimes it's about doing the work to heal so you can keep showing up.
In this fisrt episode of the everyday strength project Nate talks about why he deciced to rebrand and relaunch the podcast, what "everyday strength" really means, and the bigger mission behind it all. From barbell training and Boxing to disipline, reslilience, and living the life of fitness, this episode sets the tone for the honest conversations around becoming stronger inside and outside of the gym.

In this episode of Beyond the Short-Term, we break down why Strength Warehouse members are achieving their fitness goals and sticking with their routines long after others have given up.
We kick off by exploring a staggering industry stat: the average gym-goer lasts just over three months. Unlike other gyms that rely on contracts to keep people paying, we focus on keeping our members engaged and progressing. With an 18-month average stay, our members are not just joining—they’re building a sustainable, rewarding fitness journey.
We then dig into why most people quit early: an industry full of fad workouts, big-box gyms with no support, and a lack of structure. Without a clear plan, progress tracking, and real guidance, many people feel lost, unmotivated, or think they’re “done” after hitting a single goal.
At Strength Warehouse, we do things differently. Our coaching model is built on three key principles: helping members define their goals, creating a tailored plan, and measuring progress regularly. This simple approach is powerful, and it’s keeping our members moving forward, achieving results, and thriving in the long run.
Lastly, we talk about how we truly connect with our members through real conversations about consistency, prioritizing health, and the long-term benefits of strength training. This support not only drives better results but helps our members feel more fulfilled and committed to their fitness journey.

This week's theme is consistency. It's crucial to focus on measurable progress because what isn't tracked over time cannot be assessed. Forget about the latest tricks or magic pills. Instead, get into the gym and master the basics. This approach, often referred to as virtuosity, has been the cornerstone of my fitness journey.
For those who have followed my story, you know I wasn't always strong, fit, or particularly skilled in physical sports. Through years of dedication and unwavering consistency, I've built significant strength. The weight you see in this video used to crush me every time. I attempted this exact lift five times in competition and failed each time. But now, I'm hitting it for a single and probably even a double with ease.
My point isn't to boast or draw attention to myself. Instead, I want to highlight that consistently doing the basics, over and over, is the true key to success.

In today's episode, we peel back the curtain on the often overlooked aspect of coaching—coaches themselves need coaching. As both a coach and a business owner, I've learned through 15 years of self-coaching and an enlightening experience from hiring my own coach five years ago. This journey reminded me that even as leaders, we benefit immensely from the camaraderie, accountability, and motivational push that comes from participating in group workouts and working alongside other coaches.

Episode #20 of the Go Heavy or Go Home Podcast, host @coach_ginger_sensei discusses the importance of nutrition in optimizing fitness performance. He argues that nutrition is often overlooked but is essential for achieving fitness goals quickly. Nate shares five ways to properly fuel workouts, emphasizing the roles of pre-workout, intra-workout, and post-workout nutrition. He recommends high protein and high carb snacks before workouts, and post-workout meals that include protein and fruit. Intra-workout, Nate suggests consuming carbohydrates and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) for energy and muscle repair. He also underlines the importance of sports drinks for replenishing electrolytes and preventing muscle cramps. Lastly, Boley advises planning nutrition during events like powerlifting meets for optimal performance. He attributes his success in a recent powerlifting meet to proper nutrition and encourages his listeners to pay more attention to their dietary choices during fitness training.
