There’s a lot of dating advice out there saying the “right” love should feel calm, steady, and like home. No butterflies. No activation. No intensity. Just safety.

But love is not meant to keep you comfortable. Love is disruptive. It opens the rooms inside of you that haven’t been met yet. It asks you to expand, to feel more, to grow. Nervous system regulation isn’t the end goal. It’s the ground you stand on, so you have the capacity to actually live, feel, and love fully.

In this episode, we look at attraction as a guide rather than a problem. We debunk the idea that if you feel activated, you must be trauma-bonding or doing something wrong. There is wisdom in what draws you toward someone. The invitation is to learn how to work with it.

What happens when you ask your partner for reassurance, comfort, or safety — and instead of bringing you closer, it pushes them away?

In this episode, I take you deeper into the classic question from Ep 130, “Is It Me or Them?” We’ll explore why our nervous system reverts to child–parent dynamics in moments of fear, how to recognize when a younger wounded part is activated, and what it looks like to hold yourself instead of making your partner responsible for your sense of safety. Without abandoning your values or settling for crumbs.

You’ll walk away with practical insights for discerning between wounds and values, communicating from a mature place, and staying in the relational dojo long enough to turn conflict into intimacy.

Have you felt frustrated that certain essential life skills—like feeling your emotions, regulating your nervous system and create connection—weren't taught to you as a child? I've heard this countless times from clients, and I've felt it myself. But what if this perspective is making things heavier than they have to be?

In this episode, I invite you into a revolutionary way of viewing your relational growth journey. The evolution of human consciousness isn't something that happened long ago—it's unfolding right now, with you at the cutting edge.

There's no "behind" in this journey, only the perfect place you're meant to be right now.

Let's put down the heavy burden of feeling inadequate or thinking you should have mastered these skills already. Instead, see yourself as the pioneer in the dojo of life, practicing at the boundaries of what humans have previously known.

What if you could transform jealousy from a shameful reaction into a powerful tool for relationship growth and self mastery?

This episode dives into a listener question about navigating jealousy after infidelity and feeling shame about emotional outbursts. Rather than viewing jealousy as problematic, we explore a revolutionary perspective: jealousy as a protective mechanism for your relationship's sacred agreements. Like a dashboard warning light, it signals when energy that belongs in your relationship container is leaking elsewhere.

When working with intense jealousy, it helps to separate it into two components. Your personal half involves tending to wounded parts carrying unprocessed emotions, often connecting to childhood experiences of feeling unchosen or unseen. The relationship half requires communicating your experience without blame, taking responsibility for your emotions while maintaining boundaries about what you need.

This episode guides you into a mindset shift that changes everything.

The journey toward secure relationships begins with us becoming loving with ourselves. When we operate from the belief that we're fundamentally broken and need fixing, we erode our self-esteem. Each setback becomes evidence of our failure rather than an opportunity for learning and growth.

Imagine approaching your personal growth not as a desperate attempt to fix what's broken, but as tending to a beautiful inner garden. Gardens take time to flourish. Some areas bloom quickly while others need extra attention. The soil might require healing before new seeds can take root. This patient cultivation builds self-trust because you witness positive change gradually over time.

As your inner landscape becomes more fertile with self-compassion and patience, your connections with others naturally transform too. You're no longer approaching relationships from fear or lack, but from a centered sense of your own worth and genuine desire for connection.

Ready to cultivate your inner garden? Join my upcoming Relationship Revolution training in July or explore the Embodied Relationship Academy launching in August. Let's grow together.

This episode dives deep into transforming how we relate to ourselves and others by flipping destructive narratives that keep us trapped in cycles of self-improvement. True self-esteem doesn't come from eliminating uncomfortable feelings but from growing your capacity to be with them while believing you deserve happiness.

I share my journey meeting with two touchy experiences in my own relationship dojo:

👉 Daring to express genuine feelings to someone I care about
👉 Tolerating separation without panic

Realizing that my nervous system capacity for those two was in all honesty quite crappy, got me to meet with patterns that came from past trauma and unsafety. What once served as shields were now limiting authentic connection.

Listen to understand how you can move through similar friction points in your own dojo - whether you're dating, in a committed partnership or simply growing.

This isn't about waiting for someone else to change—it's about changing how you relate to what's happening inside you. Go first in love, starting with how you show up for yourself, and watch as that ripples outward into all your relationships. Are you ready to become the loving leader you were always meant to be?

We've all been there wondering: "Am I growing and healing, or just reinforcing old patterns?" Whether you're questioning if you should stay or leave, set boundaries or be understanding, there IS a compass to guide you.

And I tell you all about it in this episode. So that you can practice what truly builds better relationships (to yourself and others).

The path to healthier relationships isn't about following all the social media relationship advice. It's about transforming how you view your challenges. Instead of seeing your attachment insecurities as evidence you've pulled the shortest straw in life, what if they're actually your training ground for becoming exceptional at relationships?

Ready to transform your relationship triggers into pathways for healing? Join me in this episode to discover how your "crazy" moments are your greatest teachers on the journey to secure connection.

Welcome to the Relationship Revolution, where we're flipping the script on emotional triggers in relationships. Your nervous system activation isn't a failure—it's a pathway leading to your core wounds and deepest desires when you learn to follow it down rather than manage it away.

In this episode, I walk you through my own triggering moment and how I transformed into gold. You get to meet my three parts:

  • an anxious little girl needing reassurance
  • a "go-getter" needing new leadership
  • a sensual "lover" needing freedom of expression

By meeting these needs myself rather than demanding someone else fulfill them, I build self-esteem instead of diminishing it.

The difference between emotionally mature and immature relationships isn't the absence of conflict—it's how you move through it together. Conflict either becomes a doorway to deeper intimacy or a cycle of pain, depending on your capacity to hold yourself through it.

Ready to reimagine everything you thought you knew about relationships? Season 3 of the Uncover You podcast turns conventional self-development upside down.

For too long, you've told yourself that you need to "fix" yourself to deserve love. You've internalized the belief that success means you've "healed enough" to have a good relationship. This mindset creates endless cycles of shame and self-judgment when relationships don't go as planned.

What if your attachment wounds, your sensitivity, and your relationship challenges aren't obstacles to overcome but specialized training for deeper connection? What if people who have consciously worked through attachment trauma actually make better relationship leaders than naturally secure attachers who haven't developed these emotional muscles?

This season, I'm sharing my own messy, beautiful journey through relationships. I'm not speaking from some imaginary mountaintop of perfect healing—I'm right in the trenches with you, learning to love my nervous system responses, finding gold in my "crazy episodes," and showing you that relationship growth isn't about reaching some mythical destination of perfection.

The Relationship Revolution is about tending to three intertwined gardens: your inner landscape, your partner's inner world, and the relationship itself. It's about rejecting one-size-fits-all dating advice that creates more shame when it fails. It's about recognizing that your unique path to love might look nothing like someone else's—and that's exactly how it should be.

Are you ready to rebel against outdated relationship paradigms and discover the leader you're meant to be?

Have you ever experienced that you want to do things differently in relationships with yourself or others - but the old programming is strong? Stopping you from doing that new thing.

To break old patterns and start doing something new, you need a strong why, a motivation. “I should be doing that” just isn’t strong enough to overcome old survival strategies.

In this episode, I share how you can tap into rebellion against old conditioning. And stand for love for yourself and your relationships.

Two years ago, after starting the most secure relationship Kate had ever had, she noticed anxiety about being enough or too much. Her system wasn’t used to consistency, kindness and support, and her body wasn’t sure it could trust it.

Kate was often worried Ben would leave for someone “more attractive”. And when her fear and hurt would show up, she feared she was ruining everything.

After doing Being Me a second time everything shifted. No more stuck in reactive loops, endless “solving” conversations, and bracing for being let down. Instead, she feels safe in herself, playful and fully enjoying her relationship.

In this episode, Kate shares how her relationship and life went from anxiety and obsessing to feeling safe and enjoying.

We often have this idea that healing means we’re NOT having conflict. That the lack of conflict is a sign of a successful relationship or life. When we actually need to get more comfortable BEING in and moving through conflict in a way that heals and has us grow.

If you’re avoiding conflict (scared of how it will make you feel) or creating conflict (a survival response that has kept you safe) - you need to learn how conflict can open doors to more intimacy and connection.

In this episode, I invite you to discover the gift of friction and how to feel safe moving through it.

I want to get to the bottom of our reactive relationship patterns and what’s driving them. Because when we do we can heal and shift things at the core.

One thing that I found hiding behind other emotions or protective patterns - on my own journey and working with a lot of clients - is shame. Shame is not just an emotion, but a full body-mind-emotion, and even soul, experience.

In this episode, I uncover shame so you can move that linchpin and have a whole house of cards of protection patterns fall apart. Let’s get to the mother of all lies and stop believing it.

Moving through the pillars in my program Alchemy and the turn-on framework in my program Being Me, of course. But there are a few things that I see the clients who are getting the deepest shifts have in common.

In this episode, I share three mindset shifts that will help you get the results you look for and experience peace, playfulness and more self-expression where there used to be people-pleasing, protection and loud reactions.

Many of us have a list of qualities and experiences that we want in relationships - but not many of us dare to look at our own capacity to BE or BRING that which we want.

Becoming an inner leader, also in relationships, means shifting out of victimhood and growing your capacity to have what you want. To become that which you long for OR - the match for that.

In this episode, we explore how you can bridge that gap between your desire and your capacity to have the nourishing relationship you want.

Understanding how the attachment style that you developed growing up, is impacting your relationships today, can be very helpful. But as the use of attachment theory in the relationship or dating scene is becoming more popular - so are the misconceptions and conceptualizations that pull us away from the actual experience. Meaning - we are theorizing a very embodied process…

In this episode, I want to bring you into your body and nervous system to understand the response behind what’s commonly called anxious or avoidant attachment. So we can bring more compassion to BOTH responses and embodied ways of loving on them. And I hope to bust some misconceptions about the holy grail of secure attachment.

When you live your life from a conditioned idea of right or wrong - the mind judges what’s happening as good or bad, and you react compulsively to it. On top of that, the ego mind is convinced it’s in charge of keeping us safe, figuring things out, and finding the right path to our healed, amazing life and relationship.

What gets lost in this exhausting approach is a sense of trust. You don’t trust yourself to move through what’s painful, your partner to show up for you or do what they said they would, or life to carry you where you need to go. With this sense of internal mistrust, you create more of the experience you least desire.

In this episode, I talk about trust and how to activate it to carry you through ups and downs in relationships and life. To feel the ocean of trust underneath the waves of everyday life.

Most of us have trauma. Unprocessed emotional wounds. They show up in our relationships to BE processed, but they will look like a big problem unless we’re aware and have the tools to meet them. I truly believe that this is important work of our generation and lifetime.

That’s why, in this episode, I talk about three common ways that trauma shows up in our relationships, and how we can navigate them in a way that heals instead of re-enforcing the trauma, and all the beliefs and habits that come with it.

Have you ever-so-nicely asked for what you want in a relationship - just to be met with their wounded reaction and dismissal? Maybe you start to wonder if it’s too much to ask for, and if you shouldn’t need it to begin with. A typical is-it-me-or-them situation.

In this week’s episode, I answer a question from a listener who easily feels abandoned. The relationship she is in easily inflames that wound, and she wonders, “What is valid to be upset about?”

Being embodied is inhabiting all of your being with your attention and awareness. It’s feeling and experiencing yourself. Most of us have been conditioned to relate to ourselves and the world through our mind’s labeling and storytelling. Moving your attention into your body and your felt sense will shift the relationship to yourself and others.

In this week’s episode, we explore WHY you would want to become embodied, HOW to do it, and the initial uncomfortableness you’ll likely experience.

While gaslighting refers to an intentionally manipulative behavior to have you question your experience or even sanity, it’s often thrown around these days to point out the dismissal of our emotional experience. Which is an unconscious epidemic alive in most of us.

If you’ve ever been made wrong for what you’re feeling, felt like too much, or been told that you’re overreacting, this episode is for you. It explores how to alchemize feeling dismissed and not heard, so you can stand for what you feel and want.

After years of conditioning, it’s easy to question our compass on when to stay and when to leave in a relationship. Some of us go too soon, while others remain way past the expiration date.

In this episode, we explore why we stay too long or leave too fast, what it says about the love we have for ourselves, and when it’s a good idea to move on.

Most of us have been there. The relationship is over and we KNOW we should let go, feel grateful for the lessons, and move on. But in reality, we hurt, long, and want things to have played out differently. How do we navigate this inner conflict while healing - so we don’t repeat the same dynamics?

In this episode, I reply to the question: “How do I let go, while giving love and attention to the part of me that can’t accept that it’s over?”

Not only will they finally start shifting, but you’re much closer to the truth. That your challenges are here to initiate you into more love, if you’re willing.

“I want this but I’m not sure it’s reasonable to ask for it.”
“Is it me or them?”
“I want to be with them but I’m not getting what I want.”

When we’ve learned to doubt what we want, and feel stuck in not having our needs met and constantly being pulled back into a core wound - we’re more likely to look for “the right choice” which keeps us in an inner conflict of what that is.

In this episode, we check back in with Wey and look at a way to acknowledge all sides of an inner conflict. So that you can empty out the emotions, clearly feel what you want AND heal a core wound all at once.

When we learn to believe the lie that we need to be a certain way to be loved and appreciated, we start to exile aspects of ourselves that don’t fit the image. When we exile aspects of ourselves we also exile certain emotions. When we shut ourselves off from having certain emotions - we’ve disconnected from a crucial part of ourselves. Our wantings.

In this episode, I talk about who you haven’t allowed yourself to become when you’ve been identified with your wounds and protection mechanisms - and that it’s not too late to open the doors to all your different expressions.

Most of us are being dragged around in the surface layers of the reactions in relationships. The anger, the withdrawal, the blame, the hyper-vigilance and the victimhood. By ourselves, our partner and most often - the dynamic between both.

It’s not until we can get present and move through the surface layers of our reactions, that we’re able to express from a place that creates understanding AND heal the wound that shifts the pattern.

In this special episode, I take you through one of my own recent reactions and break down the layers I found. So you can look for the layers and the root in your own patterns.

It’s easy to reject and judge your people-pleasing tendencies when you become aware of them - and see how they are causing you to override what you want and need.

What we often miss with this pattern is that going along with other people is a protection mechanism. If you’re trying to override it you’ll probably signal danger to your internal system.

Until you get to the layers underneath.

In this episode, I talk to Karen who shares the process I guided her through a few weeks back. In just 15 minutes she’s able to feel all the layers of this pattern and get to the core wound - and say NO already the next day.

An ego death is a natural cycle of shedding old identities. But sometimes aspects of ourselves seem more stubborn and harder to let go of, even when we want to.

In this episode we de-mystify the concept of ego death and look at how you can meet your shadow and loosen the grip of attachment, so you can finally let go of outdated iterations of yourself.

If you want to take part of the yearly process of letting go inside Being Me, join the Death/Rebirth process we move through in December. It’s open to everyone.

We can get so focused on the struggle in “doing the work” that we forget that there’s an experience on the other side of healing ourselves. If we’ve been addicted to struggle, then part of the journey is going to be to grow your tolerance of goodness and make safety, pleasure, and ease your new normal.

In this fifth session with Wey, we’re spending time celebrating that she’s out of the swamp and digesting her shifts so far. Listen to discover how you can let go of your addiction to struggle, tension, and drama, and rewire for goodness.

Come join Wey, myself, and the others in the Death/Rebirth process in December, mentioned in this episode.

Feel stuck in “doing” your inner work or adhering to spiritual concepts, and need a reminder of why you’re here? This is it.

In this second episode with Chris Bale (ep 64 from a year ago is one of the most listened to) we explore the misconception of having to become someone or do something, while you’re missing the fascinating experience of being human. That the lovemaking between spirit and consciousness is happening right inside you and that you’re here to be present with it.

In this slow-food-for-the-soul conversation, we explore the potency in listening, how uncomfortableness is here to set us free, our fear of death, our addiction to sparkly spiritual band-aids, and more.

Chris Bale is a spiritual mentor, intimacy coach, and energy worker and has deeply inspired me to fall in love with my human and feel deeper than ever before.

Chris is a guest teacher in my 7-month alchemical program Being Me. Get on the waitlist for the next round, or join the Death/Rebirth process we move through in December. It’s open to everyone.

Your spiritual journey IS your human journey. In the seemingly mundane, in the obstacles, challenges, heartbreaks, and losses. Waking up, is realizing that and moving through it consciously.

In this fourth session with Wey, she’s faced with a challenging situation and her protectors have pulled her up in her head and into a survival state of figuring things out. I guide her to speak what’s here, to say it all out loud.

Listen to discover how you can move from confusion, stress, and stuckness back into your body - and how to move through everyday experiences as your greatest spiritual teacher.

I want you to meet two amazing humans who’ve experienced an impactful shift of perception. From believing that what they feel or think is what needs to change, they started to experience themselves as the ocean underneath the surface waves - and all the love that comes with that.

In this episode, Irene and Shannon share where they were a year ago, how they feel now, and what got them there. Neither of them thought that it would be possible to make the shifts they experienced in less than a year.

The ego-mind is constructed to create an identity - an image of who and what you are, and what you’re capable of. You start to embody this idea of yourself and you believe it's YOU.

A more true and direct experience of you can be had when you drop through these layers of identification and simply feel yourself. Feel what’s authentically there. Feel your heart and your gut. Feel your emotional body and energetic body. Feel your wantings and your desires.

To do all this, it’s incredibly powerful to use the modality of the feminine and masculine archetypes. When you heal their old relationship of blame and hurt you’ll experience their dance as a deep source of turn on in yourself.

Many of us have lost touch with what we want after years of pleasing and taking care of others. Or going after things we THOUGHT we wanted, only to find out they were compensation to feel better about ourselves. We’ve learned to question our authentic desire, to let our mind override it and make the decisions.

So when you ask yourself “What do I want?” – how do you know if the answer is coming from your voice of integrity, and not just another voice from your ego-mind?

October in the podcast is all about how good it can get and TURN ON. In this third episode in the series, we explore your authentic wantings as a key to a turned-on life.

The ego mind pushes aspects of yourself into your underworld, your unconscious, to protect you from rejection, pain and even death. Little does it know that this strategy not only keeps the emotion unprocessed and stuck but also makes this aspect of you more likely to explode or seep out while you have no skills to be with it. When met with and felt, this aspect can integrate and you’ll feel more whole and free.

In this second session with Wey, she discovers and connects with rage that hasn’t been allowed to be fully felt. Listen to discover the process of going from divided to whole, by releasing and integrating suppressed aspects of you.

In our fifth and last session, Kate opens the door to an event that happened when she was a teenager, which created a lot of the social vigilance and unsafety she’s experiencing later in life. On top of the actual event, beliefs and shame were created. When we start on a self-awareness or awakening journey, we often long for freedom and peace. Freedom to not repeat the same destructive patterns, and the peace we imagine having if we could quiet the loud mind chatter and emotional reactions.

However true and heartfelt this longing is, the parts of us that long for peace are often protector parts that have a low capacity to be with high sensations. Their solution is to avoid friction, conflict, and emotions altogether.

In this episode, we explore a different perspective. What if friction is a gift to grow from? An expression of life that you can welcome and learn to dance with - without getting overwhelmed.

Even more subtle, your body will respond with contraction, excitement, resentment, admiration, or something else, from the associations you have made with the word.

You’re here to experience life, and yet you’ve gotten so bad at actually experiencing. You see and interact with the world through the filter of labels and meaning that the mind is giving it. You’re being dreamt by your own conditioning, asleep in a version of the world that you’ve been programmed to see.

Having the direct experience of yourself, life and everything around you is very different. It’s waking up from the old dream and simply taking life in. Through your senses and through your awareness.

What if the mistrust you feel for men, women, your partner, a random internet guy, the salesperson, or humans in general, is a reflection of the lack of trust you feel for yourself? Especially if you from a victim-state point at the other person and say “I can’t trust you and you need to do something about it”.

When you know how to handle uncomfortable situations, set boundaries, ask for what you want and feel painful emotions - and trust your own capacity to do so - there’s less need for the world to be different. Now you trust yourself to relate to any situation with integrity.

In this episode, I explore how you can use the sense of mistrust in others to find the parts of yourself that don’t trust you to take care of yourself.

Tina’s been having guests over and noticed how her attention gets pulled out of her body and into her head and on her external world. Into expectations on what the week should look like, how to make others happy, and her delivery of that.

Tina’s been observing herself in the recordings of our sessions and seeing new layers of distraction and attention jumping around. She sets the intention to slow down and deepen her presence.

This allows us to go even deeper into the ecosystem that was created around her little girl. The girl that used to feel sad is now ready to play and enjoy, but she feels like there’s not enough room for her. It’s been a month since our last session. Tina describes experiences of seeing the world and her own belief system with clearer eyes. She’s finding that her belief bubble and felt sense of the experience don’t always match actual reality.

With that expanded awareness, Tina finds a part that’s trying to protect her from feeling disappointment and sadness. Together we explore that sadness and the impulses of withdrawing and contracting around it. We invite movement and freedom around the sadness so that her whole system is sent signals that sadness is okay and that they don’t need to go into a habitual response when it shows up.

Also, if you want to grow your capacity to meet all the parts of you with awareness - don’t miss the next round of Beyond the Mind, starting in February. The practices in there connect you with yourself as consciousness itself, a state where you can be in true loving observer of all your patterns.

Tina’s finding a story of lack that her feminine has been holding on to, even if it’s not necessarily true anymore. Tina realizes that this belief of her young inner feminine is keeping her in an experience of the world that feels isolated and lonely. We explore what her feminine needs to let go of this version of herself and mature in a way that serves her better.

We also poke holes in fears that Tina’s mind has around her physical body's capacity to feel.

Death/Rebirth process in December: Strips you of a current iteration, belief or pattern you want to let go of. Makes you a better Artist of your Life. Join BEING ME mini here.

Once you've awakened from the old dream that was dreaming you (your old program of conditioning, the Matrix you were trapped inside...), you're now the Artist. The Artist is the one who can create the dream, the life, they want. As the Artist of your life (as the Toltecs call it) you have stepped into an ongoing process of re-inventing yourself. You dream, you create, you take action, you nurture your creation, you refine, and then you let parts of your creation and iterations of yourself die to leave room for new.

**The circle of life.

Moving through transformation after transformation, while YOU, at the core, also remain still. Unchanged. The unchanging essence of consciousness as the ever-changing expression of life in the form of a human. When this realization - the unchanging and the ever-changing - is felt, there's less attachment to the current created iteration of yourself.

The Artist needs to get skilled at dying, at letting go. And skilled at meeting with fears connected with dying, and shifting old associations with the idea of Death.**The mind, however, has been used to create attachments and clings to identification. If you’ve been identified with your mind for a long time, it’s likely you believe it’s you speaking when it says “I don’t know how to let go!”.

It’s probably true, that the mind doesn’t know. Letting go is a natural state of things. It’s not a doing, but a being. Do you need to DO dying? No, you let it happen. (While your ego mind might fight and try to resist it…)

In this week’s episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, you’re invited into the world of embodied letting go.

Because that’s what I find way more helpful than trying to explain to the mind how to let go.

Tina’s been feeling confused lately, and a part of her doesn’t know how to navigate and meet all the needs of her inner girl that has started to come out. She’s excited that the girl is finally expressing herself, but is also recognizing that she seems insatiable. Together we explore how to recognize the actual desire underneath the various requests.

Being Me mini: The module from BEING ME that heals your feminine and masculine dynamics. Special access in November here

Ever felt like you’re trying to keep up with the to-do list but the stuff that needs to get done and solved just never ends? But no matter what you do the world just doesn’t seem happier with you? Or like you just can’t TAKE another temper tantrum from your 4-year-old (or your 13-year-old) and that your head is about to explode?

Or maybe that people seem to be wanting things from you and you’d rather go hide and avoid any kind of social event, connecting conversation, or teacher meeting. (And perhaps you’ve already solved that by withdrawing from the world, living in your own cave of comfort and solitude. People might still be knocking to try and get in, or they have given up by now...)

Congratulations. This means you’ve been connecting with the part of you that feels overwhelmed, out of capacity, and likely fearing it’s not good enough. We can call this part an immature expression of your inner masculine.

What do I mean by that?

If your masculine is your thinking and doing, your fiery Yang, then the mature expression would be doing where it’s truly needed and having a clear direction and trust in his capacity. His doing would come more from a state of being and expansion, than from lack and fear.

While the immature version of the masculine is trying to make others happy and feel good about himself by doing more. Or hiding from the world because it seems too messy and asks too much of him.

(I’m using he/him/his as a way to point to the masculine archetype inside all of us, no matter your gender identification. Use a different word if it serves you better!)

When your inner masculine gets to heal and mature, by having his needs of rest and freedom met and feeling respected and appreciated…

…your inner world will start to open up.

Now you’re growing your capacity to feel and hold space for yourself and others with awareness. Now there’s less need to FIX and DO anything about what’s being felt. Now your doing is aligned with a strong why and an inner purpose.

In a previous episode, we looked at common wounded expressions of the feminine. In this week’s episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, we’re exploring the wounded masculine.

Being Me mini: The module from BEING ME that heals your feminine and masculine dynamics. Special access in November here

The feminine has been suppressed and wounded in many of us, which has led to her never growing up, maturing, inside of you. Instead of being in charge and at home with the superpower of feeling and sensing, you might be suppressing your emotions or throwing them on someone else - expecting others to hold them when you don’t know how to.

A consequence of this is that you might develop patterns of people-pleasing, entitlement and/or blaming. Underneath them is an old wound of being dismissed in what you’re feeling, sensing that what you feel and need is not welcome, AND importantly - learning to assign A LOT of meaning to what you’re feeling. In other words, you never learned to be present and know that what you’re feeling is okay, without needing to react or act on it. This is true for a large majority of the human population. The good news is that these patterns can quite easily be healed and matured.

This episode of the Uncover YOU podcast gives you an understanding of how the wounded vs healed dynamics of the feminine and masculine are alive in you. It outlines three common wounded expressions of the feminine and gives you a more truthful picture of them.

AND - what is needed to heal them.

Meeting with and healing the wounded parts of yourself will inevitably have you grow. There’s a point on our healing journey where many of us get stuck. It’s not because you're actually stuck, but because you’re invited to learn a completely new skill and shift out of identification with parts of your ego mind that you’ve been looking at the world from, for a long time. Because here’s the trick: You won’t be able to heal your wounded parts from the protector parts that have kept them in the wound.

Many clients show up to this work saying “I’ve done A LOT of work”. Years of therapy, self-help books, inventorying, self-awareness, meditation… Usually, what they have spent most of their time doing is the work their mind thought they were supposed to do - not the work that will actually shift their inner world.

They have spent the majority of their time in the “awareness” part of the journey. Identify, analyze, and understand how the beliefs and patterns were put into place. Naturally so, because that’s the part your mind can help you with. Since you’ve been so identified with the mind and don’t have a different sense of yourself, that’s where you’ll hang out - thinking you’re doing the work.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, Tina comes across a part that feels overwhelmed with the work it thinks is needed to heal. When I guide Tina into shifting out of the identification of this part, things start to shift. She also realizes that “doing the work” is not at all what this part thinks it is. That showing up with presence and love doesn’t require much effort at all.

Remember episode 66**, when I talked about trusting your actions to get you the results you want? Whether you recognized yourself in there or not, it will always be helpful to look at where you’re doing your inner work FROM and to create a foundation that is supporting you rather than working against you.

Because, why not build a dream of trust for the work and your capacity to make changes? A dream of acceptance of your higher spiritual self AND your messy human self. Why not affirm beliefs that you are always enough, and that you’re doing enough? That things are working even if it doesn’t seem that way to your mind right now.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I’ve recorded around 20 minutes of spoken affirmations, where I invite you into a different dream. These are affirmations and beliefs that helped me get the changes I wanted, and that I help my clients shift into.**If you enjoy these affirmations, I wouldn’t be surprised if you come back to this episode several times per month or even several times every week. To remind yourself again and again, and to create new thoughts and neural pathways.

When setting the intent to grow our capacity to feel, we’ll be faced with all the patterns we’ve built to avoid feeling. Eating, thinking positive thoughts, meditating, ignoring, lashing out, distracting, blaming, shopping, and more. We can see these as obstacles in the way and reasons why we’ll never be able to reach our intent. OR. We could see it as an invitation to meet with and understand the layers that have been formed as protection.

This is what we’re doing in the second coaching session with Tina in the Uncover YOU podcast. Tina has been experiencing stronger emotions the past few weeks and is navigating that. She’s also discovering a pattern of disassociating from feeling unworthy, and we’re meeting with protector parts that are concerned about feeling more. This episode is part of a series on the podcast where you get to listen to me coaching Tina as she’s moving through my alchemical group program Being Me.

If you feel like you’re doing all the stuff in your personal work, but still don’t get the results you long for, there’s an underlying belief and habit you might have overlooked. It has to do with whether you learned to trust yourself and your actions to get results.

When growing up studying in school, going to gymnastics or learning to play the guitar - did you get overwhelmed by the feeling that you were doing it wrong and not good enough? And with that learned to manage that feeling by rebelling, giving up, blaming others, or something similar? Or, did you get a sense that when you studied, practiced and took action, you would get the grades you were going for and that your skills were growing?

Now, can you see how this might have an impact on how you approach your inner growth work? If you don’t trust yourself to get the results you want and haven’t learned to connect with the desire underneath your to-do-list, then you might seemingly be doing all the right things, and still not get where you want to go.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I guide you through how this belief gets created, how it shows up and most importantly how you can rewire it. So that the actions you take actually have an impact and that the inner work you do will matter.

When you’ve been deeply identified with your mind, you tend to think about doing the work and the mind interprets that as doing the work. If you’re thinking about inner work a lot, the mind thinks you’re doing a lot of work on yourself, while you actually haven’t done what’s needed to make an impact on your inner world. Bringing awareness to your patterns is great, but the actual shift won’t happen in the mind. They will happen deeper in your system by releasing stored emotions, accessing your unconscious and relating to your self with acceptance and presence.

Then what is it that you’re supposed to do to make the shifts you long for? You can find several resources for that here in the blog and the podcast (and of course in my online trainings), but for the coming few months, I thought I’d show you in a new way. In this week’s episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, you get to meet Tina who I’ll be coaching for the coming few months, and you get to listen and follow along on her journey.

Tina has done quite a bit of work and is enjoying herself and the life she’s creating. But she’s also wondering if there’s more. More of her, more love, more freedom, more self-expression from integrity. So that’s what we’ll explore together, by meeting with the parts that have been in the way of her true sense of self.

You get to hear the ups and downs, the breakthroughs and the resistance, the learning of new skills to be able to shift out of the head and into the body, and more. My hope is that you get a better idea of what taking the journey into your true conscious self, underneath the old programming, might mean. That you get inspiration and aha’s that are meaningful for your own process.

This is a completely new exploration for both Tina and me, and we feel excited to share this journey with you. Ready? Let’s get to know Tina in our first session where we focus on staying with feeling in the body.

A man who deeply inspired me in falling in love with my human and feel deeper than ever before, is Chris Bale. Chris is a spiritual mentor, intimacy coach and master energy worker. His embodied expression of mature masculine energy, with deep compassion for human conditioning and wounding, is a source of healing for thousands.

In this week’s episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I have a soul-nourishing conversation with Chris that spans from taking apart your bullshit and moving from your head into your body, to energy polarity and what it has to do with feeling alive. The reason I find this conversation so nourishing is that it touches on something that is deeply inspiring to my work: Can you take the embodiment of a true state of acceptance and love, back home to your human experience?

If you’d like support in taking the journey we’re talking about in this episode - from stuck in your head to the direct experience of yourself - come join us in my 8-month alchemical program Being Me. Chris will be a guest teacher. You’ll be guided into deep work in shadow integration, nervous system regulation, and the embodiment of the you underneath the old conditioning, so that you can feel trust and navigate life from what you want. We’re just getting started and I’m keeping the doors open for a few more days.

The idea that you have resistance to a fulfilling life from joy and ease might seem surprising since you’re probably striving for greater happiness. “I want to be happy!” you might say. “I would LOVE to live in ease where what I want is naturally showing up in my life.”

The odds though, are that you are having experiences of the opposite. More stressful events, the same relationship patterns repeating themselves, feeling like weeks turn into months and years without a change… Maybe you hear yourself thinking “Once this project is over…” or “Could life just give me a break! THIS on top of everything else??”.

Truth is that YOU likely need to give yourself a break. As long as you’re operating from the same belief system and are unconsciously embodying struggle - that’s what you’ll receive more of. Even if life events do keep happening, your relationship to them will be very different if you’ve shifted your own beliefs about struggle. In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I break down why many of us have an unconscious addiction to struggle and walk you through four areas you need to address to shift your resistance to ease and joy at the core. Because chances are that you’re embodying a lot more struggle than your conscious mind wants to admit.

If you’d like support in completely rewiring your system from struggle to ease and flow, come join us in my 8-month program Being Me. You’ll be guided into deep work in shadow integration, nervous system regulation, and the embodiment of a new blueprint so that you can feel trusting towards life and receive more of what you want. We’re starting on September 11 and you can join us here.

In my work with private clients and especially inside my group program Being Me, I use polarity work (the dance between the feminine and masculine energies) as a way to grow your capacity to feel. Because when you grow your capacity to feel you’re more deeply connected with life and what you want, beneath the ego-mind. When you’re more connected with what you truly want, you open a door to being your full authentic self in connection with all of life.

On a relationship level, you’ll be able to heal old patterns you might have given up on changing. On a more spiritual level, connecting with your mature feminine so that she can receive more of the mature masculine will open you up to consciousness on the innermost level. A permeation of truth in every atom of your being. It’s a feeling of making love to all of life and letting life guide you.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I continue my conversation with Rosko Blake from a year ago, about the embodiment of feminine and masculine energies and how you can’t know before you try.

Rosko is a mentor and teacher in purpose, leadership, relational physics, and sexual mastery, and his work revolves around deepening masculine presence through embodied physicality. He is a guest teacher in my 8-month program Being Me, guiding the men into masculine embodiment and healing sexuality, as well as hanging out with the whole group and answering questions.

During the whole 8 months of Being Me, you’ll be guided into deep healing and a new embodiment of your inner feminine and masculine dynamic, whatever gender you identify as. I want for you to marvel at what is possible and feel like the person you’ve always known you truly are. We’re starting on September 11 and you can join us in Being Me here.

You were brought into this world through sex and you are a sexual being. Yet, you often form a relationship with your sexuality that is filled with shame and anxiety or treat it as a service to others rather than a force that are your own to experience. When you cut yourself off from your sexuality, or use it in a wounded way that lacks integrity, you have lost a potent source of life force. You most likely feel drained of energy and aliveness. Healing and embracing your sexuality in a new way might very well be the piece you’ve been missing.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk to Erika Alsborn, sex- and birth coach, about the somewhat indescribable magic that happens when you experience a sexual awakening.BEING ME is my alchemical 8-month group program where you take the journey out from your head and into embodying the true you. BEING ME is my alchemical 8-month group program where you take the journey out from your head and into embodying the true you. It’s open once per year around August and usually starts in September.

When I put together the first version of Being Me, I didn’t know if what was in there would work on anyone else. I had combined four areas that had been crucial on my own journey and that I hadn’t seen mixed and taught in this way, but I didn’t know if it was just me it had worked for. I was surprised and thrilled when week after week, members were coming back with shifts and experiences of pleasure, meeting with uncomfortable emotions and feeling alive. The shifts they were making exceeded what I had imagined possible.

After three rounds of this alchemical process, with tweaking of the practices and testing different forms of support and structure, I get teary-eyed when reading the shifts members have had in their experience of life and themselves.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I have a conversation with two members in the community, Megan and Mike. They both took part in last year’s round of Being Me and we’re checking in with them to see how they are doing. They share their experience in Being Me - their favorite parts, the resistance they had to meet with, and how they could notice that things started shifting.

Sign up for FEELING ME: a weeklong training where you practice connecting with your body so you become aware of what you’re feeling and can express from there

Get on the waitlist for BEING ME: My alchemical 8-month group program where you take the journey out from your head and into embodying the true you.

In many areas of our life, we’re so used to talking about things that we miss checking in with what we actually need and feel (as we explored in episode 58). This pattern also sneaks into how you’re doing inner work. You’ve read the books, taken the courses and listened to the teachers but still feel like you’re not where you want to be. Faced with the fear of failing, your mind dreams up ideas of what you need and what you’re missing to get the shifts that you want.

Your mind will likely think there’s a missing piece, something you’re not seeing, a modality you need to learn or a teacher that will open something new in you… But ponder for a moment where you would be if you were to implement and integrate even a fraction of the things you already know about healing and changing your inner world. If you were to actually do the work and embody the things you know.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I suggest that the main reason for signing up for programs and workshops should be to get supported in embodiment and doing work. And how the mind will keep dreaming of how wonderful life will be later and what you need to get there - and keep you from taking action.

We all have them, and we all detest them. The conversations that go south and end up in disconnection, misunderstandings, and frustration. The conversations that seem to take us deeper into the labyrinth of dysfunctional relationship patterns, when all we want is to be heard, understood, and move past any issues into more joyful interactions. How is it that we all want to have better and resolving conversations, and still end up with confusing and hurtful ones?

A big part of this problem is that we’ve been trained to talk about everything else than what we’re feeling. We talk about what the other person is doing, or why we’re reacting the way we are - but are not able to drop through the layers of survival responses and feel what’s underneath. Even learning modalities for better conversations will only take you so far if you’re not willing to get in touch with what you feel. When we learn to tap into what we’re feeling, we’re also growing our capacity to speak from there so the other person can feel us authentically. This is one of the keys to creating a true connection.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about our fear of dropping deeper into what we’re feeling and how it creates a wall between you and others. I also give you the sustainable path out of attack-defend conversations that will grow your self-awareness and allow others to connect with you.

A quick googling on “how to stop people pleasing” gives you lists of things to do in order to stop being a people-pleaser. In my experience, very few of them will make an actual shift to your inner world and address the root cause. If you’re looking for a more sustainable way to shift the patterns of people-pleasing, you’re in the right place.

If you grew up learning that having needs and wantings comes with bad consequences, chances are that suggestions like “listen to your inner voice” and “learn to be assertive and stand up for yourself” won’t do much. Truly shifting a people-pleaser role can instead take you on an incredible inner journey where you learn to get in touch with your body, feel more, honor your needs, release shame and inventory your fears. You might even end up feeling grateful for your people-pleaser pattern, for teaching you valuable life skills, and bringing you closer to the true you.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about different versions of people-pleasing and the two systems you need to address to shift them. I also cover the inner archetype characters and why they have found pleasing to be the best solution. Most importantly, I break down the main ingredient to get in touch with your real needs and desires.

Sign up for FEELING ME: a weeklong training that takes you out of your head and into your body. The direct experience of yourself beyond fear-based thinking.

In five episodes of the Uncover YOU podcast we’re putting one of the most powerful principles for transformation to work: to turn towards that which we want to change. Instead of running from our minds, we’re going to look closely at the fear-based dream that has snuck in. More than that, we’re going to have a conversation with the Devil himself, hiding in any mind that is run by fear.

You can follow along by reading the book Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill, and then listen to each of the episodes where I’m connecting it with the self mastery work and giving your journal prompts to apply the insights from the book to your own process.

In episode five, the Devil spills the beans on how to get out of his grip and attain spiritual, mental and physical freedom. You might find it surprising (and somewhat unsettling) to receive advice on your personal freedom from the Devil, but who would know better than the one who manages to hook your attention again and again? Think about it.

It’s as brilliant as asking your boxing opponent: “What should I get really good at to beat you?” Your boxing opponent likely won’t reveal her weak spots, but the Devil does. Simply because he’s a part of you, and you a part of him. Understand this simple truth and much is gained.

Only the Devil knows his weaknesses, or rather, where his control over you begins and where it ends. By turning towards, by actually asking instead of guessing, you’ll receive surprising and powerful insights.

I also take the liberty to add to the list of ways out from the fear-based mind, from my own conversations with the Devil, and invite you to have your own little chat…

In episode four of this series, we continue to learn about the ways of the Devil.

Without holding back, he tells us all about the bribes he uses to appease our ego.

Things like flattery, power, food, and sex, that might seem nice but easily has us go into identification with the ego-mind.

Believing we’re separate from, better than, or less than others.

That we need to gain power, success or good looks to matter.

Once in our ego-minds, it’s easy for the Devil to use the law of Hypnotic Rhythm to have us completely operating under his reign.

The law of Hypnotic Rhythm is, according to the Devil, as natural as gravity.

It’s how seasons shift, how the Earth circles the Sun, and why we find it so hard to get out of bad habits.

The Devil simply uses this law in his favor.

Which means you can as well.

In episode three of this series, I discuss the two main tools that the Devil uses to gain control over your mind.

1️⃣ Domestication

From family, culture, society norms, school system and religion. Whatever school of thought you’ve been brought up in, a vast majority have in common that they don’t train you to develop your own thinking, but rather instill the belief that there are right and wrong answers and someone else has them.

This is how fear-based thinking spreads from the collective to you at a young age and has you doubt your own ability to think independently.

This supports the next clever trick of the Devil 👇

2️⃣ The habit of drifting

Once you’ve been domesticated with the idea that you shouldn’t think for yourself, but rather look outside for the right answers, you’ll be moving further and further into automated thinking.

It’s where you don’t have a clear intent, feel like a victim to circumstances and operate mainly from unconscious fear-based beliefs.

Once you’re drifting, you’re easy prey for the Devil.

To find God - know the Devil

To experience consciousness - understand the mind

In episode two of this series, I discuss the principle of turning towards instead of running from the Devil (or the mind) out of fear. Also, on the other end of the rainbow, awaits what Hill calls “The Other Self”. The force of Infinite Intelligence, in service of love, trust and expansion, which can move through you when you’re not run by fear.

At some point on any self-awareness journey, we become aware of just how automated and non-stop our thinking is. Chances are you discover a lot of self-criticism, negative thinking, and automated patterns that are running in your head.

When you wake up and realize that you can’t seem to turn it off at your own will, it’s easy to feel like a victim of your own mind. It might frighten you how little control you have over it. That at any point, the mind could take over and drive you into a pit of stress, worthlessness, jealousy, hopelessness, or despair.

Sometimes people that are interested in doing work with me reach out and ask: “Do you also do healing?”. After making it clear what they mean by that I often end up responding “Yes. But I’d much rather teach you how to do it for yourself”.

You are the medicine. You’re born into this world as a bundle of pure aliveness. When you’ve had your energy tangled up in fear-based belief systems - personal and collective - you’re drained of life force. Learning to re-connect with it, feel it and fill yourself with it, allows you to align with integrity.

In this new episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, we zoom out from last week’s episode on sexual energy and talk about the bigger problem of our disconnection from life force. And how you really start healing when it starts to move through you again. You find show notes in this post on my website. Our sexual energy is an often deeply misunderstood force. Our relationship to it often gets embodied in one of two ways. Either as an addiction to act on certain habits and release the energy, leaving us depleted of the life force we accumulated. Or suppressed or lost touch with, leaving us dried up and with little access to life force.

Sexual energy is not just about having sex. We live in an orgasmic universe. It’s how life is created every second, how flowers bloom and good ideas are born. Human conditioning and social and cultural structures have made it into the narrow definition of intercourse and orgasm. You can actually be a deeply sexual person without having sex, in the traditional meaning of the word.

In this new episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, we start pulling apart the associations you’ve made with sexual energy and explore the energy itself and how you can use it to feel more alive. You find show notes in this post on my website. So often we’re trying to reach for the stars by stretching our hands towards the sky when we really need to get them dirty, digging into the earth to visit the underworld, our unconscious. In the dark, the stars come down to meet us, there’s no reaching to be done. Daring to go into the darkest shadows and shine the light of awareness, is what has allowed my own blissful state to expand.

Meeting with all parts of yourself might seem scary. The ugly, the demonic, the denied, the lost selves. That which you are afraid others will see you as. The parts that your ego-mind has pushed aside as something unwanted and bad.

But the price of not meeting with them is high. In the shadows, they keep running your life. When seen, felt, and understood - their secret reign can come to an end. There are ways you can connect with and integrate your shadows that I’ve found to be VERY impactful and have you not getting lost in a labyrinth of endless contemplation and figuring it out.

That’s why, in this new episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about ways to identify and find your shadow parts. And how you can take shadow integration to the next level by using pleasure and embodiment. You find show notes in this post on my website. Embodiment is such a fundamental piece to both healing and creating a new life. Fact is, you’re embodying your beliefs right now, most of them unconsciously. If you want to experience real inner change AND see the effects of your inner work reflected back to you in the world around you… then you need to understand and practice conscious embodiment.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I share how embodiment takes your inner reality into the external world and give you three major reasons why you want to get skilled at it.You find show notes in this post on my website. When we’re trying to change the current program of our mind, we’re faced with somewhat of a pickle: The tool we have to change it with is also what we’re trying to change. Often, the current program of our mind can’t even dream up what could be possible. What life could look like or what we’re capable of. It can’t see outside of itself. And IF it can, it often feels victimized by the fact that we’re not there yet.

So how can we change our inner world when we seem stuck in an old one? I found that there were three tangible things that accelerated my own inner change and that I see accelerating people’s growth again and again when used well.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I share the three things you quite easily can bring into your life to accelerate your own progress. You find show notes in this post on my website. If you have a skeptical mind and have been spending most of your life relying on your thinking, it might seem like an insurmountable task to have the direct experience of consciousness. Even if you have been meditating for a long time, chances are that you’ve been doing it from inside the mind.

Here’s the good news. I was extremely heady, analytical, AND skeptical, and I managed to get my mind on board with accessing consciousness. I needed to understand the why and the how and then break it down into very practical steps. I also share about my own journey of getting there. You find show notes in this post on my website. The direct experience of your core self is something that will change you. The funny thing is that you’ve actually come home to yourself and not changed at all, you’ve simply dropped some layers of illusion you used to cling to.

We’ve all read the books and heard the stories about awakenings and enlightenment, but truly experiencing it for yourself and not through an idea in your mind, is a whole other deal. When the seed that’s been planted with that experience is nurtured and invested in, the state of consciousness slowly becomes where you operate from. A place to navigate, relate and heal from. A place of deep love and trust in life. A place of aliveness, expansion, and joy.

It all starts with that seed being experienced and cared for. The ego-mind will still be there but you have less faith in it. Instead, there’s a longing to experience MORE of the true you. And you have a new sense of self to relate to your mind from.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I have a conversation with Eddie. Through the practices in Beyond the Mind, he was able to turn his attention around and experience what he truly is. We talk about how this has impacted his journey, why he wasn’t able to go there in previous decades of meditation practices, and how you can let the other brainwave states trickle into your day-to-day.

Understanding brainwave states and how they are related to different states of consciousness made a big lightbulb go on for me. The survival state with its looping thoughts and feeling stuck can be clearly measured as a brainwave state. As can the state of feeling at peace and present with yourself and the world around you. With each of your internal states the frequency of the pulses between the neurons in your brain changes.

The brilliant thing is that it goes in the other direction as well. Change your brainwave state and your thoughts and emotions will change. Learn how to move between brainwave states and you won’t feel like a prisoner in your stressful and anxious thoughts. Access new brainwave states and new expansive states of consciousness will become available to you.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I give you an overview of how the different brainwave states are connected to different states of consciousness, how you can shift your brainwave state and how this will help you heal and expand. You find show notes in this post on my website. A lot of people have formed the idea that meditation is a way to discipline the mind. To quiet it, focus it, calm it down, cultivate more of the thoughts you want to have and with that become more of the person you want to be. This idea might be helpful to get you started but can keep you trapped in identification with the mind.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about how meditation will change your relationship with your mind altogether. That at the heart of meditation is self-realization and an inner knowing of who you are that will have you fall in love with all the things you were desperately trying to change.

I also tell you of five ways you will notice that your relationship with your mind has changed. Let’s dive in!You find show notes in this post on my website. You have likely heard me emphasize how important it is to take apart your old beliefs, rather than trying to put new ones on top of them. That’s why I’m skeptical about practices that ONLY rely on affirmations or thinking your way to new patterns, since they often bypass your initial wounds and the exiled parts that need to be met and integrated.

However, building a new house while you take apart the old one is VERY helpful. Having something to move towards - what you want to feel and believe and experience - can be very grounding and calming for your nervous system as you’re uprooting your old house and making major changes to your inner world.

In this episode, I talk about when and how affirmations can help you tap into new beliefs you want to live by. Beliefs based in love and trust rather than fear and doubt. And why it’s important to find affirmations that make you tingle, open your heart or even salivate.

You find show notes in this post on my website.Register for the workshop New Levels of Masterywhere I give you a recording of affirmations to build trust in your inner work. So that you can get out of your own way and get greater results with the practices you're doing.

Inner-growth work at its core is simple, and yet so tricky. Mainly because we’re trying to understand a pattern and shift it, with the same program it was created with. As you can imagine, this is not a very effective way. The insights that we need seem to stay hidden just out of sight, while we run our hamster wheel.

So if you’ve been wondering why you haven’t been able to get to a certain belief or change a certain emotional reaction - don’t beat yourself up. Your ego-mind is brilliantly built in layers with labyrinths and its own protection mechanisms to stop you from going deeper into the maze. Once you know the way it seems obvious. A key that might have been missing for you, is understanding the motivation driving parts of yourself, and the unmet needs that are hidden underneath their protection strategies.

That’s why, in this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I share two insights into how parts of yourself are operating and the unmet needs underneath. So that you can understand and easily start to heal instead of running around in circles.

When we hear the term “survival state” it’s easy to associate it with life-threatening situations and trauma. But we’re in this state a lot more than we’re aware of. We’re unconsciously responding with fight-or-flight responses to many of our everyday situations, even if on a lower grade on the scale.

The thing is: since this state is so normalized - in your own body and brain, and in society - it will also seep into how you’re doing the self mastery work, or any other growth practices. When you learn how to recognize and shift out of it, doing your growth practices will feel easier and have a bigger effect

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I give examples of how this reactive state dictates how you’re doing your self-growth work. I also discuss why you can’t reason your way out of this state, and what new levels of mastery you’re invited to… well, master… to recognize and get out from under its spell.

You find show notes in this post on my website.Register for the workshop New Levels of Masterywhere I guide you in recognizing your survivalstate and learning the language to shift out of it.

We’ve all heard our mind say things like “I feel like shit” or “I’m completely overwhelmed”. What often happens next is that we react to this statement like it’s true and a terrible thing that either needs to be fixed asap or something to feel hopeless and defeated about.

But what if instead of getting carried away in reactions to the statement, we were to look at the statement itself? Is it really true? Am I in fact feeling like a pile of shit? (And how on earth is a pile of shit really feeling??)

If we would call the deeply connecting relationship we long for a festive Holiday meal, then there’s a fundamental ingredient that is needed to cook that meal. An ingredient that most of us haven’t learned how to access, or even that it exists. It’s so rare to see it well practiced that we could call it a forgotten ingredient. Chances are that you rather have seen and practiced MANY other things in your relationships. Like reacting, withdrawing, getting angry or feeling hurt and betrayed and frustrated…

If you want to create trusting communication, intimacy and heart-to-heart connection (whether it’s with your partner, your children, co-workers or yourself) you need to KNOW this ingredient, learn HOW to use it, and put it to PRACTICE daily. When you do, it will grow into the foundational ingredient that makes all dishes on your relationship table taste a lot better.

When a relationship has a good quality of connection - whether it’s in the relationship to your own mind, emotions and body, or in relationship with others - a door opens. A door from the room of old patterns that leads into a new experience. What will create and open that door is the quality of the attention you’re directing onto something. Just like a magic spell. The reason you’ve been getting the outcome you’ve seen so far is because you’ve been casting the same spells over and over again.

In more tangible words, you have the relationships you have because you’re bringing your half and playing your role in them. You react and respond. You project and create from your mind’s idea of the world and the people inside of them. When you change your half, you’ve changed the ingredients of the relationship and you’ll get a different outcome.

This is when life starts to feel new and possibilities endless again. This is where intimacy and trust, when it used to feel lightyears away, is possible. This is when the relationship enables you to go higher and deeper, instead of weighing you down. Here's the link to register for the Relationship Connection workshop. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? I had to remove a lot of protection layers to even discover that I longed for deep, heartfelt connections. My spiritual ego that felt all it needed was deep meditation and the skill to shift from anger to gratitude had to crumble. The lone wolf who said it was better off alone had to meet with its deep-buried fear. The project manager that believed everything could be related to through a good ol’ strategy and a to-do-list had to realize the consequences of its actions.

Many of us live in a survival state when it comes to our relationships, and we don’t even realize it. We’re tumbled around by our amygdala responding to threats and trying to pull us out of danger by going into fight- or flight mode. We end up feeling deeply disconnected, frustrated and confused when all we long for is deep, heartfelt connection.

That’s why, in the upcoming episodes of The Uncover YOU podcast, we’ll be focusing on Relationship Connection. Let’s start with the struggles we’re experiencing and understand why we end up repeating them again and again. Because not until we understand how we got here can we retrace our steps, discover our well-intended mistakes and do things differently. Here's the link to register for the Relationship Connection workshop. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? Let’s play with the idea that everything in life is a matter of relating. You relate to the people around you and your job. You relate to the weather or the traffic. A common thought while doing self-awareness work, or in other places in life, is “I’m stuck”. It’s a pretty vague metaphor that can mean many different things. Still, our mind tends to take it as a truth and gets busy with figuring out why we are stuck and what we need to do to get out of there.

What would happen if we instead found out WHO it is feeling stuck? And allowing the emotions and sensations to be felt? I’ll give you a clue: these parts would feel safe to let go of their story and “you” would feel a lot freer.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I give you three likely (but more sneaky) reasons why a voice is saying "I am stuck" and how you can offer it real help.

Feel unable to change an old pattern that you discovered a while back? Or that you can’t get to a core belief? Or are you noticing yourself avoiding meeting some uncomfortable emotions that you know needs to come out? And like the responsibility to figure it all out is on you? In a sense, it’s true that no one else can do your inner work for you. But in a world where we fear to be vulnerable and receive support, it’s easy to let the lone wolf take over completely without even knowing the alternatives.

The consequence? Keeping yourself from making the progress you could be having. Because truth is, you won’t be able to think your way out of your old mind program. The way is not to figure it out. You will most likely need guidance and support in dropping into the layers below your thinking mind to make the shifts at an unconscious level. Especially with the more sticky belief systems, or when you start to get to the root of things.

It was because of how different I felt inside and the personal freedom I gained to create my life the way I wanted to.

Do you know what one of the most fascinating things about taking the journey of deep inner change is? That you’re not the same as you were five years or even five months ago. The beliefs that were driving your thoughts and behaviors back then aren’t there anymore. So you think different thoughts. You react differently. And most of all you feel differently about yourself and life.

As you’re becoming less of your old conditioning you become more of YOU. Freer in your different expressions. Freer to learn and make decisions from love rather than fear. Life itself can breathe you and move through you.

In your becoming it’s sometimes hard to remember back to that old version of you that lived from suffering and lack. That’s why, in this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, Tami asks questions about where I was before I started and about breakthroughs and obstacles I experienced during my first years.

When our inner alchemical or spiritual work has become another thing on the to-do list and we feel the heaviness of another box to check, we’ve lost touch with our WHY. We’ve forgotten what we set out to do and we’re lost in the forest of musts and shoulds.

Your inner work is not another chore. It’s the rebellious act of breaking free from a program of beliefs based in fear. A program that has been running you and directing your thoughts, emotional reactions and decision making. To be able to take it apart and feel free, happy and at ease, you need to rebel and do some things opposite to what that old program of conditioning wants you to do.

“You shouldn’t feel angry, you should be able to accept this!” Does this inner thought, or something similar, sound familiar? As we’ve talked about in previous episodes, our mind has a tendency to use things in our self-awareness and spiritual work against us. To hijack them, make a minor tweak and voilá: all the sudden we’re beaten down with the concepts we’re trying to change our lives with.

One of those things is the idea of acceptance. When our mind uses acceptance as ammunition against what we’re feeling or wanting, the whole idea of acceptance has gotten lost. We’re told by our mind to use acceptance on outer circumstances and other people’s behavior, but we miss to apply acceptance and recognition of our emotions, experiences and wantings.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I help you recognize if you’re stuck in the acceptance trap. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? Your one-sentence review would be most helpful! Leave a review on Apple podcasts here.

What are you currently believing about who you should be or what you should be feeling? The mind is constantly trying to fit us into different boxes. The boxes might be changing through your life, but the underlying dynamic of needing to fit one, and beating down on you if you don’t, is the same.

When going through the self mastery process, or other awareness work, the box might have changed to needing to be the hunter, the warrior, of getting results, of feeling gratitude, of accepting, of staying calm and present. This is again the mind wanting to apply ideas to live by. The actual process of changing beliefs and stepping into personal freedom is about meeting and feeling what is alive in you.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about the boxes our mind is trying to fit us into, the idea of success and the antidote to all of it.You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? Overwhelm happens when we don’t have the capacity to fully process a situation, our inner emotions or other impressions. We could say that the instream of data is greater than our bandwidth to process. Our capacity to process can be temporarily lowered because we’ve got a lot going on. Or we’re constantly taking too much in without a filter so our processor is tired and burned out.

The root of our overwhelm is more often our own internal dialogue and reactions to an event than the event itself. The belief structure we’re carrying will more than often create so many internal reactions and protection mechanisms that we’re overwhelming ourselves with conflicting information and pressure about who we should be. The beliefs driving those reactions are what you need to look at to end the internal overwhelm for good.

But there’s no way of getting to those beliefs when you’re in a state of overwhelm. That’s why, in this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I walk you through three tangible steps you can do to shift out of overwhelm so you can start changing the beliefs that are causing the overwhelm.

The feminine and the masculine are some of the oldest archetypes and their dynamic is alive in all of us, beyond gender identification. If left unattended it’s easy to take on many of society’s unhealthy relating between the feminine and the masculine. When honored and nourished, they can bring a whole new level of aliveness and integrity. When they are matured and embodied they will spiral out to our relationships and give us that deeper connection and uplifting we’re often craving.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I have an in-depth conversation with Ross Blake, a men’s leadership & relationship coach about our inner relational physics. Welcome to dive into a topic I find myself deeply fascinated and connected with.

More about the 2-day workshop on Self-love that I mention in this episode.

--
The further you travel into the core of your being, what you'll find is love. The more love you can give to yourself, the more freedom and expansion you get to experience, and the more personal power you have at your disposal. The way to get there is by examining the relationship you have to yourself and then shifting out of self-rejection (which is a learned program from fear) into a deep sense of love for yourself (which is your natural state).

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I share about the surprising moment when I noticed a loving inner voice. I also talk about who is the sender and the receiver in loving yourself, and that one of the things in the way is often that we haven’t practiced receiving it.

I tie together this whole journey that we've taken over the past three episodes: starting with examining how self mastery is a process of aligning with integrity, to exploring how living in integrity is a way of loving yourself, and now concluding with how loving yourself happens from integrity when you dissolve the self-rejecting parts. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? More about the 2-day workshop on Self-love that I mention in the intro to this episode.

The phrase living in integrity conjures up two wonderful images in my mind: on the one hand, I picture a compact central point, a steadfast core; and on the other, it is an all-encompassing embrace of the whole.

That’s kind of what living in integrity feels like: knowing who you are at your core and navigating from a trusted internal compass, while also embracing all parts of the experience of self and of life. It’s being both the centre and the whole at the same time.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I pick up where we left off in the last episode. If Integrity is the goal of the self mastery journey – what exactly is integrity and what does aligning with it look like? You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? **Self Mastery can sound like a way to gain control over your mind. To have mastery OVER the self, to override and make sure we don't have any of those pesky uncomfortable reactions again. In a way, a consequence of Self Mastery will be that you take back power from the mind and that you get control over the automated programs that have been running it.

But at the core, Self Mastery is much more an alchemical process of becoming. Becoming the YOU underneath the unconscious program of beliefs. Learning who you are, what you truly want and what integrity feels like. So that you can create a life that feels truly nourishing to your soul.**

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast I talk about what Self Mastery really is - less about mind control and more about the great journey of aligning yourself with integrity. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? One of the more persistent assumptions of the mind is that to be truly happy and joyful, all other patterns have to go. This assumption is...false. Once you uncover the spring of happiness and joy underneath the layers of beliefs, you can be happy AND meet old patterns and newly discovered pockets of them from this state. What has shifted? That you’re no longer identified with your mind and that you’re relating to it differently.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk to Audrey who’s had a transformational year, to say the least. In early 2020 she joined the Self Mastery Course - with a lot of skepticism and resistance - to address the feelings of anxiety and depression she’d experienced her whole adult life. In our conversation, she shares what made change possible for her as she kept showing up for the different practices and group settings in the community.

All her unconscious patterns haven't gone away in a year, but she’s meeting them from a whole new place of love for herself and others. With a direct experience of her core self underneath the belief systems, she keeps welcoming new layers of her mind with humor and presence. You find show notes and Audrey's cartoons in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? Nowadays, many more people are aware of limiting beliefs as an obstacle to create the life they want. Once you’ve realized that unconscious beliefs are what is causing many of the emotions, thoughts and patterns you want to change, you probably get in a hurry to try and change them. The problem is that you often don’t go deep enough and are trying to change one limiting belief without knowing HOW it was put into place, WHAT components it consists of and WHY it’s there. And most importantly, you are probably missing to address the emotion it was put into place with.

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about the complexity of belief systems and what they are made of with my friend and fellow truth hunter Abby Ruston. Abby runs a Youtube channel where she shares the practical steps that have helped her transform her life. This queen of analogies uses a mix of self awareness, neuroscience, metaphysics and spirituality, and doesn’t shy away from digging deep. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? If you feel confused about the “right way to handle your emotions”, you’re not alone. We’ve often been taught a reactive way of being with them that includes either avoiding them or being swept away by them. So when we hear the instructions to feel our emotions it might seem very counterintuitive and bring up fear and resistance. On the other hand, we have a sense that this is where the key to unlock our old patterns is hidden.

So is shifting my emotional state a way of suppressing my emotions? And how can I allow them to be felt when that’s what I feel I’ve been doing my whole life - way too much?? In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I bring clarity to these questions and a roadmap to when to practice which skill. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? One of the biggest things in the way of Dreaming is the identification we have formed with our mind. We believe that what it’s saying is a reflection of who we are and even if we manage to shift out of one or two of the stories it’s telling we still have the unconscious belief that the mind IS WHO WE ARE. But there is more of you. In fact, when you start to explore it you will find many different experiences underneath the thinking mind.

In the last episode about Dreaming, we covered what it is and how you move from the unconscious to the conscious Dreamer. In this episode, Gary van Warmerdam and I continue our conversation and share stories about our own early Dreaming experiences and some simple things you can do to grow your own Dreaming skills. You find show notes in this post on my website.

Have you ever felt like you were winning the self-mastery game? Like you’ve totally conquered your old program and won’t need to practice anymore. Only to be beaten down the next day and realizing you either had it and lost it, or that you were just believing a lie.

His inner judge is morphing and telling new stories about winning, only to beat him down again. Having a Spiritual Ego is not a big thing, most of us do. The big question is how you relate to it. Do you believe what it’s saying about you and the world, or are you observing what it’s doing from outside of it? Are you believing that you should keep your shadow self hidden, or are you taking action to integrate and welcome all parts of you?

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I talk about effective ways to dissolve the Spiritual Ego and answer questions from listeners. You find show notes in this post on my website.Enjoying the Uncover YOU podcast? When your ego-mind has gotten a hold of the idea of self-awareness and spiritual growth, it will use this idea to keep avoiding what it’s afraid of. All the uncomfortable, yucky, wild, dark parts of yourself that you have learned to reject. But shifting the uncomfortable emotions doesn’t happen by wanting them to go away. It’s when you step out of the identification with the ego-mind and start welcoming and loving all there is that you free yourself from the inner conflict.

In episode 13 of the Uncover YOU podcast, I have a conversation with Gary van Warmerdam from pathwaytohappiness.com about Spiritual Bypassing and the Shadow Self. You’re welcome to join us and hopefully get a better idea of what is kept hidden under your Spiritual Ego!You find show notes in this post on my website. As we established in the last episode explaining the spiritual ego, having a spiritual ego is...normal. It’s the ego mind’s survival mechanism of morphing and upgrading. But it might not have been what you had in mind when you set out on your transformational journey. You were dreaming of stepping out of the identification with the mind and its old program altogether. You wanted to live and operate more from your heart. Have a deeper sense of who you are. Not ending up in a new version of your ego.

You can side with your ego-mind and fight the fact that you have developed a spiritual ego, or you can take this as an opportunity to grow your awareness. Hopefully having dismantled some of the stigmas around having one in the last episode, it’s time to look at clues to if you’re indeed operating from a Spiritual Ego.You find show notes in this post on my website. When exploring the terms spiritual ego, spiritual materialism or spiritual narcissism in articles and literature, they are almost always portrayed as a bad thing we want to avoid. The manipulating and abusive guru who has been hiding behind a mask of spirituality type of thing.

But a spiritual ego is not very different from a non-spiritual ego, and understanding it will give you great insights into how your ego morphs and re-invents itself to make sure you keep seeing yourself through its lens. Understanding the spiritual ego, embracing it, and moving on from it can be one of the most powerful steps you take on your transformational journey.

In this and the coming three episodes of the Uncover YOU podcast we will dive into the fascinating topic of the spiritual ego.You find show notes in this post on my website. **If someone would have told me at the beginning of my journey to just get out of my head and drop into my body, I would not have known how to do that. My mind was my safety blanket and I had avoided my emotions by escaping to my mind.

Instead of fighting the mind, bring the mind on the journey when you start befriending your emotions. When we get good instructions on HOW to make the journey from analyzing to feeling, we feel safer to do so.
This episode is the recording of a Q&A session about emotions and feeling where we discuss episodes 7-9. **One of the common programs of the mind is to tell us that we’re failing, doing it wrong. Doing the self mastery work is no different. The mind seems to have a surprising amount of opinions on how we should be practicing and what results should look like.

When you’ve been identified with the mind you will react and either believe what it’s saying or start defending yourself against it, with a different part of the mind.

In our last session about Connecting with Pleasure as a skill to expand your old, limiting program and create the life you want, there were good questions that I didn't get to. So in this episode, we'll dive deeper into the topic of pleasure and see if we can bring more clarity to the difference between our mind's ideas and attachment to pleasure, and pleasure from integrity. When we’ve been identified and pulled along by our mind program our entire life, it’s hard to tell the difference between desires and wantings from integrity and attachments to pleasure as an escape, distraction, or addiction.

This is where you first of all need to learn skills to step outside of the stories your mind is running to observe them. To start stalking them and turn the tables on them pulling your attention along. When you’ve inventoried some of these stories and seen what kind of unconscious beliefs are driving them, now you start to recognize the components of a fear-based mind structure.

When we start the Self Mastery work it's often from a feeling of struggle. It takes effort, motivation, and willpower to shift our perspective about our inner world and start making changes to it. Especially if we’ve been in a victim state about what is happening to us in our external world and in our internal reactions.

Effort and struggle are just one aspect of life though, and neither your job, your relationship to your unconscious, or your life have to be created from there. The more personal freedom you have, the better you can build your life the way you actually want it. And I'm not talking about the domesticated way that your mind THINKS you should be wanting your life, but the experience you ACTUALLY desire.

In this session I'll talk about how pleasure can be a great hack that both will build a new dream, a new way of living for yourself, AND have unconscious structures that resist this to surface, so you can become aware of them and help them shift. Lastly, connecting with pleasure will open you up to a more accepting and trusting relationship with your unconscious, which will lead to faster and deeper change.Every week I will be recording this podcast live on a zoom call with time for a Q&A at the end. Once you know and are doing the foundational practices in the Self Mastery work (found in the self mastery course 1), you have an invaluable foundation to take apart beliefs from.

But at a certain point, you might hit a plateau where you find yourself not getting further, walking in circles, or not getting to certain "dark corners" of the unconscious.

You might feel stuck in your head and feel that you KNOW all the ingredients for transformation but not able to embody them and live from them fully. Or you might start to feel way better in certain areas of your life, and that initial motivation to make changes and keep practicing is fading. And with that old patterns might creep back in again.

If you want to keep going and move out from the Hunter identity and more into the Dreamer and Artist, you need some new skills at this point. In this episode, we'll explore what those skills might be, and when you know you're ready for them.

Let’s look under the hood of a question I get quite often:
“How do I learn to set boundaries with other people.”

There’s no problem with the question itself, but often it’s asked from the belief that we need some new skills to deal with an external situation, while we actually need some skills to:

  • Become aware of our unconscious structures of beliefs
  • Relate to these structures from outside of them, and allow emotions to release and beliefs to be shed
  • Connect with self-love that’s already inside of you

In this episode of the Uncover YOU podcast, I invite you to go deeper and look at structures that might be hiding in your unconscious.

Let’s marvel together at how our external world and relationships often seem to match our inside world of beliefs.

A personal transformation isn’t something that happens overnight. It’s necessary to learn new skills and to change how you look at your old patterns to make a deep and lasting shift. This is not a journey for the faint-hearted, since it will have you face and shift the foundation you’ve built your identity on. So is it worth it?

More than worth it

The rewards are freedom, inspiration, self-realization, joy, and peace, to mention a few. And well-practiced skills that you now can apply to keep navigating the world, and your unconscious. You’ve become the master of self, and the artist of your own life.

This first episode is my attempt to give you a good overview of the Self Mastery process because if you know where you’re at and you know what’s ahead, you have a much better chance of understanding what you might need to move forward. Then we can dive deeper into specific aspects of the journey together.
