Five years ago, well-known Wichita singer-songwriter Jenny Wood was involved in a serious auto accident that resulted in the loss of her mother and niece. Wichita came to Jenny's support in many ways, and now, Jenny Wood has arranged a special "thank you" benefit concert. Jenny Woodstock takes place Saturday May 18th from 5 to 9 p.m. at Nafzger Park, right outside the I Heart Radio Wichita studios. There'll be food trucks, vendors, live music, and family fun. While you and I might look forward to a leisurely spin down the bike path, three Wichita cyclists are riding from Canada to Mexico to support Wichita's homeless. Beginning June 14th, Marty Johnson of Johnson's Garden Center, Tyler Branine of Bicycle Pedaler, and Cassidy Cheray from Vantage Point Financial Group will ride the 2024 Tour Divide for Humankind, an epic 2,745 mile event along the Continental Divide. Wichita native Aaron Childress has a life-changing story to tell. A few years ago, he had hit rock bottom in life and decided to hang himself. Miraculously, his wife found him in the garage and got him down from the rope just in time.
