I had the pleasure of interviewing Zeal, a gospel rapper who has been rapping for years and had faced some personal challenges along the way. He endured, persevered and released his first album These things happen in 2020. This album is an artwork that expresses personal experiences, social injustices, a wrestling with God and a surprising head- bobbing track that would keep you motivated during a workout or enjoy a drive on the highway.
In this interview we discuss how he came to start rapping, his journey on why it has taken him so long to release the album and we discuss the concepts on the tracks in his album. We also go on a bit of a tangent, discussing the conservative culture and the beauty of how we worship God in our diversity. This interview was filled with honesty, laughter and inspiration.
I left the interview feeling uplifted and inspired, I hope you do to.

How these two things work as she creates, publishes and collaborates with other people. She also talks about her struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts- what the journey was like and how God has kept her through it all.
