Have you been afraid? Today we are reminded that encouragement can be what we need to help up "Get Up and Don't Be Afraid."

Our Advent series continues with listening to the voices of "The Angels of Christmas" and taking a deep look at the experiences of Joseph when the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream (Luke 1:18-25). Today we lit our 2nd Advent candle and listened to the story of Jesus' birth foretold according to the Gospel of Luke. As we hear the familiar story of Gabriel appearing to Mary, may we find peace in the words of this encounter. May we find peace in Emmanuel as we ponder the question: how can this be?
Today we light our first Advent candle of this season: the candle of Hope. We also kick off an excited new Advent sermon series, "The Angels of Christmas," that will take us through a journey of listening to God's voice in new and different ways. Today we joined together for Stewardship Sunday and had a special worship service consecrating our pledges for 2023. A special thank you to our Finance Chair, Brooks Coffland, who gave a wonderful message over the five aspects of stewardship: prayer, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
