Not only that, but also economic considerations of what could best promote national productivity and increase the value of our currency. Jay goes into the premise that there are Governments lead by self-serving rulers (looking after themselves, not their people), to seek out conflict for various reasons to address their own vanity and that there are other nations who could use war as a pretext to eliminate market competition. He considers how the various types of governments can effectively protect their populations relative to the number of available resources and how it would dissuade conflict by foreign nations.

I had this thought, that it might be possible to remove one additional bit of tax sponsored redistribution and get rid of the FDIC and the NCUA by promoting private insurance options to protect our bank deposits. Not as a hedge for banks to protect their own horrendous banking policies, but as a way to directly protect the customers, the people while holding banks possible for their high-risk business ventures.

As of now, there is an ongoing debate about the best method to ensure the greatest access to affordable healthcare. Many look at foreign options with Universal (single payer) healthcare and consider publicly funded/subsidized healthcare as a good thing, but there are many factors to consider beyond personal benefit.
