Be honest. You've been saved. You've given your life to Christ. But sometimes, sin still looks attractive. Sometimes you still feel that pull. Sometimes you wonder, "If I'm really saved, why do I still struggle like this?" But if you're still battling temptation, still struggling with sin, still wondering if your faith is real, this episode will bring clarity. We'll explore how the new nature and the old nature war within us, why sin becomes burdensome and bitter instead of enjoyable, and how you can know for sure that God has truly begun His work in you. Because salvation isn't just about escaping hell. It's about being freed from the love of sin itself.

Power has a bad reputation. And honestly? It's easy to see why. History is filled with leaders who used their authority to oppress, exploit, and destroy. From corrupt politicians to abusive bosses to church leaders who forgot their calling, power often leaves a trail of wounds. So is power itself evil? Should Christians avoid it at all costs?

In this episode, we're tackling the complicated question of power. Scripture makes one thing clear: all power comes from God (Romans 13:1). He gives it, He allows it, and He holds every leader accountable. But power, like a hammer, is neutral. It's what we do with it that matters. Used rightly, power serves, protects, and restores. Used wrongly, it corrupts and destroys.

Have you ever wondered if you'll make it to the end? Maybe you've stumbled. Maybe you've struggled with doubt, temptation, or seasons of spiritual dryness. And in those moments, a nagging question creeps in: What if I can't hold on? What if I fall away? This episode is for you. We're diving into one of the most comforting truths in Scripture - God keeps His own. Not because we're strong enough, not because we're consistent enough, but because He is faithful. The truth is, we're not holding onto God - He's holding onto us. And He never lets go. So take heart, weary saint. Your salvation doesn't depend on your grip. It rests in His.

We've all said it. A quick "sorry" muttered under your breath. An apology just to keep the peace. A half-hearted "my bad" that means nothing. But here's the hard truth: not all apologies are created equal. And sometimes, a hollow "sorry" does more damage than no apology at all. In this episode, we're getting practical.

We all mess up - Scripture is clear that none of us is righteous. So the question isn't if you'll need to apologize. It's how. We'll look at the wrong ways to say sorry - like the empty apology just to pacify someone, or the withheld apology covered up by gifts and silence. So before you say "sorry" again, listen to this episode.

You've seen it on TikTok, WhatsApp, and even in your prayer groups. "I decree and declare healing!" "I declare open doors!" "I decree financial breakthrough!" It sounds powerful. It sounds bold. But does it sound biblical?

In this episode, we're hitting pause on the popular Christian trend of "decreeing and declaring." Before you type that comment or speak that word, let's ask an uncomfortable question: Who actually has the power to decree and declare? Is it you? Or is it God? So before you decree and declare, listen to this episode.

Let's be honest. You spend nearly 5 hours a day on your phone; scrolling, watching reels, responding to messages. That's over 70 full days a year. Meanwhile, reading the entire Bible cover to cover takes about 70 hours. The math is sobering. In this wake-up call episode, we're asking the uncomfortable question: Why are we so connected to the world but so disconnected from the Word? This isn't about guilt, it's about realignment. We're not here to shame you. We're here to challenge you. What if you traded just 15 minutes of screen time for Scripture? Fifteen minutes a day. That's it. You could finish the Bible in 280 days. Treat your soul like you treat your phone, because your soul needs charging too.Let's dust off our Bibles. Before it's too late.

What's the first thing you do when life crashes in? For many of us, it's reaching for our phones. A story here. A cryptic post there. A quote that says everything without saying too much. Before we know it, our rawest emotions are live for the world to see and strangers are reacting to our pain. But here's the question no one's asking: Is social media really the best place to process your hurt? In this episode, we're challenging the default. When you're angry, sad, or weighed down, the internet might feel like an outlet. This episode will help you trade the keypad for kneeling, reactions for real relationships, and online venting for the healing that comes when we take our pain to the One who truly cares.

Why does legalism feel so right… but is actually deadly wrong? Have you ever been judged at church for what you wore? Or for a haircut? A young girl was criticized for wearing ripped jeans to church. A man was whispered about because of a sports logo cut into his hair. These aren't rare stories, they're everyday examples of legalism hiding in plain sight.

So why do Christians judge things like haircuts and clothing? The Pharisees did this constantly. They added rules like about washing hands, cups, and dining couches . This podcast is NOT against godly standards or holiness. It IS against adding extra-biblical rules and judging others as "less Christian" for not following them.

Few things cut deeper than rejection, especially from those closest to you. Parents, friends, spouses or family members who turn away can leave you questioning your worth, your self-esteem, and even your faith. In this episode, we get honest about the pain of being pushed away.

We explore why rejection happens, from sinful patterns and a broken world to standing for the truth and past wounds. But we don't stay in the pain. We look at biblical examples like Joseph, Jephthah, and even Jesus Himself, people who were rejected yet ultimately used by God for incredible purposes. Rejection hurts, but it doesn't have to define you.

Let's be honest. When you're in the thick of it, when grief keeps you up at night, when your workplace feels like a battlefield, when you've prayed the same prayer for months and nothing changes, hearing "the light will come" can feel like empty words. You know the theology. You need something to hold onto today. In this episode, we get practical. We'll talk about how to keep going when nothing makes sense, how to shine when you feel like you're running on empty, and why your small acts of faithfulness aren't as small as they seem. If the darkness feels heavy today, this episode is for you. Not a pep talk. Not a band-aid. But real hope for the long haul.

Work used to be how we made a living. Now, for many, it's become what we live for. We introduce ourselves by our job titles, measure our worth by our productivity, and often find our identity in what we do. But was work ever meant to carry that weight? In this episode, we explore the origins of work, long before the Fall, work was a gift from God, not a curse. So when did it become a god?

We examine the rise of "workism," the subtle idolatry of turning a means into an end, and what Scripture says about finding our ultimate satisfaction not in what we do, but in whose we are. If you've ever felt the pressure to perform, defined yourself by your career, or struggled to rest because work never feels done, this conversation is for you. Discover how to work not for identity, but from identity, and how even your labor can become an act of worship.

In this episode, we tackle one of the most painful and complicated dynamics a believer can face: living with parents who profess faith with their lips but deny it with their lives, or who don't believe at all. How do you honor them when they're hard to respect? How do you keep loving when you feel like giving up? We're diving into Scripture for real, practical help on persisting in godliness, speaking truth with love, guarding your heart from bitterness, and trusting God when home doesn't feel like a safe place. This isn't about quick fixes or pretending everything is fine. It's about finding strength to honor, wisdom to navigate, and hope to keep going, even when the people closest to you don't share your faith.

"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'" When you read that verse, who comes to mind? The atheist, right? But what if the fool isn't always the person denying God's existence, but sometimes the person claiming to believe in Him while living like He doesn't exist? In this episode, we explore an uncomfortable question: Could a professing Christian actually be the fool Psalm 14 is talking about? We examine the traits that betray a heart far from God, even when the lips are full of praise. If you've ever wondered whether your faith is real or just religious routine, this episode will help you examine, repent where needed, and anchor your soul in the grace that's still within reach.

You’ve been wounded, betrayed, or deeply hurt. Everything in you wants to hold on to the pain, to keep the account open, because letting go feels like letting the offender win. But what if your unwillingness to forgive isn’t just harming your peace; it’s actually endangering your soul?

In this sobering and grace-filled episode, we confront one of the most challenging commands in Scripture: to forgive as we have been forgiven. This isn’t a message about minimizing your pain or pretending the offense didn’t happen. It’s about recognizing that your capacity to forgive is directly tied to your comprehension of the forgiveness you’ve received from Christ.

You consider yourself a wise person. You make thoughtful decisions, give solid advice, and navigate life with intention. But what if the wisdom you're relying on is actually working against God's purpose for your life? But according to Scripture, there's a wisdom that leads to life and a wisdom that leads to death, and we're all operating from one or the other in our daily choices. Are you living with the wisdom that comes from above, or settling for counterfeits that crumble under pressure? Join us as we learn to discern, choose, and walk in the wisdom that lasts.

When is it hardest to believe God is good? Is it in the silence of unanswered prayer, the pain of loss, or the exhaustion of prolonged suffering? In moments like these, it’s easy to tie God’s goodness to our circumstances, to praise Him when life feels blessed, but question His heart when the road grows dark.

This is a conversation for anyone who has ever whispered, “Where are you, God?” and wondered if His goodness could still be true. It’s an invitation to shift our gaze from what we’re going through to the One who is with us in it, and to rediscover that His grace is enough, not to remove every trial, but to carry us through it, and to remind us that on the hardest days, His goodness isn’t a feeling. It’s a fact.

Have you ever heard someone say they believe in God, but their life tells an entirely different story? From celebrities to people we know, many claim faith, yet there's no visible transformation. This begs a crucial question: Why do you believe in God? Is it because of your family, because He answers your prayers, or out of a fear of judgment?

Join us in the second episode of Africa Statement on Prosperity Gospel and Word of Faith Theology as we unpack Articles from this historic declaration. We examine the dangerous teachings that twist faith into a force to manipulate God, turn giving into a transaction for blessings, and elevate pastors into untouchable figures of spiritual authority. The African church provides a powerful, biblical correction, affirming that faith is a gift, not a force; that giving is an act of worship, not a payment for miracles; and that a pastor is a shepherd, not a master.

In Matthew 24:14, Jesus said, ‘And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony, and then the end will come.’ We, as part of this global mission, know that the disciples did their part (Matthew 28:19) and that the gospel is still bearing fruit wherever it goes even today (Colossians 1:6). The motivation to preach the gospel comes from the fact that it is mighty to save all who believe (Romans 1:16), whatever their lot. But have you ever pondered on the implications of the gospel to your own soul as the proclaimer and preacher of the word? If the gospel is crucial for the unbeliever, then the gospel must be equally essential for the believer. As we endeavour to preach the gospel to others, we must also be intentional to preach this gospel to ourselves. What should we keep in mind as we seek to awaken our souls to the gospel realities we love so much?

Christmas is almost here. During this season, we celebrate the birth of a man who lived more than 2000 years ago. Many other people are also celebrated. However, none has stood the test of time while at the same time being as widely celebrated as Christ. Why so? Unlike the others, we go out of our way to celebrate someone who, by all accounts, seemed quite insignificant at the time of his death. Looking into history as told in the gospels, we read of how Christ confessed that he had nowhere to lay his head (Matthew 8:20).

When asked what they know about Jesus, many will rightly state his popularly known virtues of compassion (Matthew 9:36), forgiveness (Luke 23:34), generosity (Mark 10:45), love (John 13:34), and mercy (Ephesians 5:2). These, of course, are wonderful characteristics of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, the big problem comes when people emphasize these virtues at the expense of Jesus’s zeal for the truth (John 2:16-17), his being Lord of all (John 13:13, Philippians 2:8-11), his hatred for sin (John 9:39, John 5:22-23), and the reality of hell (2 Timothy 4:1, Acts 10:42, Revelation 20:15). Emphasizing one’s preferred characteristics of Jesus and disregarding the less popular ones is detrimental since it gives a wrong image of who Christ really is.

That prayer is essential to the Christian life is something few would argue against. It is so vital that Jesus once told his disciples they could not cast out demons because they led prayerless lives (Mark 9:14-29). In other words, their faithlessness is what resulted in their powerlessness. What is astounding, however, is that few Christians care to give thought or emphasis to the structure of prayer. Not many ask, “How can I pray biblically?

An unshakable faith in God’s sovereignty should be a source of comfort. As Psalm 115:3 reminds us, “Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.” That means everything, from the tiniest atom to the vast expanse of the universe, is under his control. Praise God that this is all true! But then it all begs the question, “Why pray if God is sovereign? Doesn’t he already know our thoughts” (Psalm 94:11)? My hope in writing is to show you that praying to a sovereign God is not pointless, but is, in fact, something we should take great delight in. Why?

It is often said, quite unfortunately, that if you want to make quick money from people, start a church. That is the common narrative today. This thought has intensified, especially in the wake of increased prosperity teaching and preaching, robbing the gospel of its value and power as expressed in Romans 1:16-17. We must interrogate these things to set a clear basis for calling people to the faith.

Today, man’s core belief is that happiness is life’s ultimate goal, something that has driven many to ignore helpful scriptural and pastoral warnings. For instance, someone could warn a fellow Christian that their lifestyle choices do not reflect orthodox Christian theology, only to be told in response, “Well, that’s the way you understand Scripture, but everyone has their own beliefs. I believe that God wants me to be happy.” The errant pursuit of happiness becomes a shield keeping the sword of God’s word from penetrating the heart. But would God really want us to be happy even as we walk in rebellion against him?

Open relationships are those where one is in a relationship with a particular person, but they allow either one partner or both of them to have sexual relationships with people other than their spouses.

These relationships include polyamorous relationships, polygamy, polyandry, etc. There are open relationships where couples consent that one or both of them can have other sexual relationships, and there are those in which there is no consent. These are relationships where things are not defined, and the two might not even be married or planning to marry.

Thus, it is safe to conclude that money problems do not arise from a lack of information but rather from a lack of discipline. Even though men know enough about money, most just aren’t disciplined in stewarding it.

Consider this helpful podcast for how you could handle money in a more disciplined manner.

The number of times we have all heard or said the phrase “I am sorry” must be countless (at least for any sane human being). The words are to be said with utmost sincerity, truly regretting the offence committed.

But, unfortunately, those words are sometimes said with no sincerity. Some people will say sorry to appease the offended or escape a hard conversation (Jeremiah 3:4-5). So it is with repentance. This podcast will attempt to expound on what true repentance is.

In Kenya, groups are popping up in the name of ‘healing ministries’. You will see them leading the masses to believe they can cause their sickness and disease to disappear from their bodies. Under such preachers and self-made healers, families have lost loved ones who were made to stop medication after praying for healing.

Should we throw away the whole concept of miraculous healing? Does God heal? Does it happen nowadays? How should I pray for healing?

There are many things that the gospel does for us in terms of our relationship with God. As Christians, we must never lose our awe for the gospel, even telling it to others and to ourselves.

Many of us struggle with negative thinking, especially those more pessimistic about life. Examples of negative frames of thinking include, “I’m not good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, or talented enough,” thinking that the worst possible scenario will happen, that one is incapable or worthless, that God won’t come through, or that nobody is trustworthy.

One effective way to overcome negative thoughts is through prayer. In this podcast, we are going to bring out practical ways of praying in light of negative thoughts.

Many people might say, “Why should it bother you if two unmarried people consent to sex and it’s not hurting anyone else?” or “Why do you care what people do in their private lives? What they do in private doesn’t affect anyone else.” These are two justifications commonly used to defend what Scripture calls sexual immorality.

Should Christians be quiet as soon as the defense statement is spoken in relation to sex outside of a marriage between a biological male and female, or should they confront sexual immorality with grace and truth?

To want to read and understand God’s word is a very noble intention. However, until action is taken, this intention will remain an intention without any substantive value to you. Billy Graham said, “I have never seen a useful Christian who is not a student of the Bible.”

Reading the Bible is work, and as such, we should be ready to be diligent and disciplined enough to read and study the scriptures. D. A. Carson said that when we read the scriptures, we are dealing with God’s thoughts; we are obligated to take the greatest pains to truly understand them and explain them clearly.

An unreached people group includes people that are least-reached people with the gospel. A group of people are unreached when they have few or no believing Christians and resources to evangelize each other. In other words, an unreached people group will not hear the gospel unless someone from the outside of their people group comes to declare God’s wondrous works to them. Therefore, we must be ready to go to the unreached peoples and tell them about Jesus Christ’s redemptive work, or else they perish (2 Thessalonians 1:5-9, John 3:36, Revelation 20:15).

Over 1600 verses in the Bible talk about God’s passion for every tribe, tongue, and nation to know him and give him glory. God’s passion for the nations is evident throughout the Bible. He desires all people to see his glory and give him praise. “Missions exist because worship does not,” echoes John Piper. The goal of missions is to see people from every tribe, tongue, and nation worship our Great God (Psalm 67:1-4). Psalm 96:3 also reads, “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”

You must have encountered churches in Kenya that do weekly deliverance services, either across the street or on some TV channel. Week in and week out, the pastors of these churches are usually caught up in battles with demons and dark forces. Members of the congregations of these churches will be either screaming, falling or rolling on the ground in response to the man of God’s ferocious commands. However, if one was to observe closely, it is often the same people being delivered repeatedly. But what is the goal of these services, their genuineness and the biblical stance?

God has identified himself using the masculine gender more in the scripture. Recently there have been issues on the gender of God, with the church of England seeking to consider this matter, changing the Bible, and using a gender-neutral pronoun for God. “God is not a he”. That’s what gender theorists claim. God’s pronouns are they/them, we’re told. After all, God has no gender as a spiritual being. He’s three persons in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That’s a plurality of persons. Furthermore, “Elohim”—the ancient Hebrew word for God- is plural. Doesn’t all this evidence signal a reason to change how we refer to God? Should we abandon he/him and adopt they/them?

There has been significant abuse of religious freedom in our country, Kenya. Currently, we are battling with the sickening issue of Shakahola. Paul Mackenzie, now captured, brainwashed so many people with a false version of Christianity, leading to their death. The followers believed that fasting to death would unite them with their maker. Due to the brainwashing, Paul Mckenzie’s church members could not question why the pastor and his family were not fasting. Additionally, the congregants rejected any assistance and preferred to continue with the bizarre practices. Sadly, this is the case with many people around the country, especially those with undying allegiance to the so-called ‘men of God’. Let us look at some issues that may be wreaking havoc in our churches today.

After high school, you only ask for fare when you want to do errands for your parents. Once you get to campus or university, be ready to pay for your luxuries while in session. Oh, and just before graduation, you need to have a clear plan for employment (it doesn’t matter how difficult things are). After this is done, and you finally land a casual job or an attachment, please send something home. It does not matter whether you are being paid or not – let alone how much the pay might be. While this might not be the standard in every home, it represents many Kenyan homes. Consequently, how do we approach this matter as a joyful experience, not a bothersome, manipulative, or imposed exercise?

Consider what a church is supposed to do according to scripture. A church is to regularly gather (Hebrews 10:24-25) to hear the word preached (Acts 2:42), to sing (Colossians 3:16), to pray (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18), to give towards the Lord’s work (Acts 2:44-45, 4:32-37), to evangelize (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8) and to practice the sacraments of baptism (Acts 2:41, 8:12 and the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:17-34). In addition, covenanted members dwell together while lovingly caring for one another (1 Corinthians 12:12-26), even through brutal practices such as church discipline (Matthew 18:15-17).

But recently, I’ve noticed a massive emphasis among Christians on praying that casts out, binds, and calls down fire from heaven to burn Satan and other problems. This practice is built on the presupposition that Jesus gave believers authority and power over spirits, principalities, and heavenly beings. Thus the believer is encouraged to bind and cast whatever stands in the way of their progress or prosperity. Then, through prayer, they call down heavenly fire against Satan and those spiritual beings in league with him. But, unfortunately, casting and binding don’t seem to be the primary shape of most biblical prayers.

The mark of spiritual maturity that all saints should exhibit is living their lives for the glory of God and not the praises of men (1 Cor. 10:31). Men’s applause only last in this life. But living for God’s glory means that God is the focus. Why do you do the things you do? Is it so that men can see God? Jesus called out the Pharisees for loving men’s praises more than God’s (John 12:42–43). Ask yourself if your relationships, work engagements, friendships, and other life interactions are consumed more with what you want or what the bible says.

For some, Worship is slow music playing in the background, giving them goosebumps and teary eyes. Modern secular culture, defined in a simple phrase, would be the “authority of self.” Authority of self in that I do what feels best and makes me the happiest. We hear phrases beating this mantra, saying, “do what makes you happy.” We also hear people saying “YOLO” (You Only Live Once) and other phrases such as “self-love.” These popular phrases are just repeating the authority of self-belief systems. Authority of self seeks to make you believe that nothing or no one is more important than yourself. It seeks to shift all your attention to who you are; based on that, you have all the power within to do all you want to do if only you can look deep down within. It is a push towards self-worship and elevation of pride that “you are self-made, self-direct, self-determine.”.

Over the past few years, we have seen many professing Christians recanting their faith, claiming that it does not make sense anymore. Those who have done it have given reasons, but we need to ask why such things are becoming rampant. Is there a problem with God or with men? Is faith failing, or is that pressure mounting at an alarming rate? My argument is that part of the reason this is happening is the focus on man and his abilities, not pure focus on Christ. Why is it that many young people raised in a reasonably Christ-believing environment opt out once they interact with the world years later?

“God alone”, the Christian says, ascribing due reverence. “A lonely God”, thinks the heathen, for he supposes that God created man because he was lonely and needed fellowship. If that were true, then God would not be independent of creation. It is based on the magical belief that the planetary positions at one’s birth time and birthplace determine that person’s personality, life events, challenges, and spiritual path. In the Hebrew language, the actual word for astrology (mazalot) literally means “divining the heavens”. Divination involves foretelling future events or revealing secret knowledge through signs and omens or other supernatural agencies. Astrology has become very popular nowadays.

And we confess that such fellowship can only be the work of God's Holy Spirit.

The character of our saviour is such that he never leaves those he saves. Over the centuries, we have read stories of many caught in difficult, heart-wrenching situations, but God miraculously encouraged them--I am with you! If you are in Christ and things are seemingly out of control, and you feel like giving up on God, remember that you never walk alone; God is always with you. He is always by your side, even though you may not feel it.

Have you ever wondered where most of the CU (Christian Union) die-hards go after school? Why are some of them not in the church as they were while we were at the University or High School? Why are some of them doing more of clubbing, abusing alcohol, drugs, and all manner of sexual immorality? I’m sure this is a common and very sad scenario. But why does it happen? Can someone who is truly a believer of Christ stop believing in Christ? Follow the conversation on this podcast as we seek to answer these questions.

All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:23‬. “Even if the laws of the country say Gambling is not wrong, even if in your reading and understanding of the Bible it does not make you feel convicted that gambling is wrong, ‬‬ask yourself, even if it is lawful does it build you up? Does it build the society up? Even if it’s beneficial, does it build your spirit, your trust in God the more?

A finger-pointing attitude may have begun in our lives when as little children, we’d blame Satan for provoking us to steal mommy’s sugar — to which most of our parents would gladly respond, “Okay, we’ll cane ‘Satan’ then,” but this sinful reaction boasts its roots much farther back in history.

When man willfully rebelled against God and allowed sin into God’s world, his immediate response was guilt. His innocence was immediately stripped away, for which he tried to cover with a laughable attempt (Genesis 3:7).

When God created man and placed him in the Garden of Eden, everything was perfect–until the Devil, taking the form of a serpent, deceived them (Genesis 1-3). Sin then entered the world, leading to a separation between man and God. There grew the need for a mediator, exemplified by the sacrifices common to nearly every nation in history. But these often proved futile, leaving man yet in need of a perfect mediator who would make acceptable and eternal intercession.

God is an amazing God that has communicable and incommunicable attributes. The communicable attributes are things that He shares with us, and then we are to share with others. Some of these communicable attributes are love, wisdom, and knowledge. The incommunicable attributes of God are things that he does not share in common with us. Some of God’s incommunicable attributes are his independence, unchangeableness, omnipresence, eternity, and unity. Check out this podcast to learn more about these attributes of God.

We may want to ask ourselves if masturbation truly satisfies the deep longings that most people who do it have. Masturbation, being the idol it is, only leaves people empty, ashamed and guilty. Idols of the heart are things that we value in our lives in place of God. They will usually tend to make impressive promises of satisfaction only to disappoint, yet they still entice.

Kenyans are doing this Great Commission. We need people to support monetary wise. Born again, men and women need to start seeing how to plough into the missionary enterprise. Young people with the call for missions need to arise and, by faith, take up the challenge and preach Jesus to the lost tribes in Kenya. Missionary work is not a white man’s job.

We recently recorded a podcast titled “I want Children, not Marriage“, and after the response, we decided to write a follow-up podcast on single parenting. As much as one may think of good reasons to choose the path of single parenthood, it costs nothing to explore the consequences of such a choice. Unfortunately, most times, we learn too late what is truly essential. We are often clouded by the heat of the moment and end up making unreasoned out decisions. Instead, one ought to explore the options in light of God’s word and choose wisely. In this podcast, we talk about things to consider before single parenting.

In Kenya, among the trending shows on YouTube is the Loyalty Test. In the videos, the show hosts interview dating couples and ask them to exchange their phones to test their loyalty to one another. Each then checks out the messages, calls, photos, or anything that may be a pointer of loyalty or disloyalty. In most cases, the show is characterized by drama as individuals get violent upon finding out that their partner is disloyal.

The makers of the show believe that they are ‘sanitizing’ society by exposing people who cheat in relationships. What do we learn from the loyalty test craze?

Whenever it is said that Christianity is the only true religion, many things can come to people’s minds. Some can assume that Christianity is true to its followers because it brings them a sense of peace, purpose and happiness. Christianity certainly does these things for those of us who follow Jesus as Lord of our lives. However, this allegation would not be based on truth in as much as it is not entirely false. Christianity is true because it is based on objective truths grounded in reality. Christianity makes factual claims about fundamental things such as who we are as human beings, who God is, and how we relate to God. A religion that cannot truthfully answer these questions is false, not because it fails to give one peace of mind, but because it makes unverifiable claims.

Martin Luther and modern-day evangelicals believe that grace is an entirely free gift. Whatever you get because of your work can never be called a gift; that is a wage. You got paid for it because you worked for it, but grace once again is not earned as a result of your good deeds. To further explain grace, you, for example, show grace to an offender when you choose to forgive, not because they asked or are remorseful, but simply because you showed them mercy. We are all sinners deserving of hell

In 1517 October, Martin Luther became the key figure to what would be called today the reformation. He began conversations about the five most fundamental truths concerning the Christian faith, also known in this podcast as the ‘Alones of Christianity’. The five ‘Alones of Christianity' are the Bible alone, Christ alone, faith alone, grace alone, and God’s glory alone. We will only cover the first three of them in this podcast and continue with the other two in a later episode.

Many families and individuals have gone through so much pain by losing everything they have. We need to interpret scriptures in the right way to stop misleading God’s people. The gospel we preach has become so difficult for Christians to understand. It sounds like it’s reserved for a few chosen ones. One pastor told my neighbour that she must be prayed for by him since he is the one with access to the spiritual realm else she will not have a breakthrough.

Many scenarios cause guilty feelings. Guilt can haunt us, and we wish we could go back and change things. If you feel guilt like this, it is essential to ask yourself if it is true guilt or false guilt? True guilt is when I have offended God through some sinful or willful action. False guilt is when we have not offended God, and there is nothing you can do to change the situation.

Recently a study was done on teenagers in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa on a wide range of topics. Some of the answers, from a Christian perspective, were very encouraging, while some were concerning. On the good side, 85% of the teenagers surveyed identified as committed Christians who went to church at least once a week. Of these, 100% claimed they read their Bibles and pray either weekly or daily. On the bad side, however, 42% of these committed Christian teenagers had been sexually active within two months that this survey was taken (February- March 2020). A further 43% watched pornographic material within the same period.

Previously, we wrote a blog on understanding the phrase, "Touch not the Lord's anointed." As young people in the fellowship, there are many times we are between a rock and a hard place on account of how to respond to our beloved shepherds. Is it right or wrong to question something that my pastor has said or done, or is it a show of rebellion?
