Boring Bio MANICS is an indie dance group comprised of Jordan Deherrera, Chris Sanders and various session players. Their sound is diverse yet cohesive, coupling elements from multiple sub genres of dance music with contemporary production aesthetics. With live vocals, percussion, programming and synth work, Manics live sets are dynamically unique. Supported by Odesza, Poolside, Goldroom, Claptone & others; the group has released some 20+ originals and remixes with large and small labels including Dim Mak Records, Nurvous Records, Oh My God Its Techno Music, TMG, 9G, VibeWithIt and more. Their debu album "Pastel Palace" was released in July 2021.
In 2013 Manics started their own label, POPGANG Records. As curators and producers, they aim to release quality independent dance music that breaks away from cooky cutter "EDM." Deep house, Techno, Trap, and Indie Dance/ Nu Disco are all part of the POPGANG Sound.”

More on “Make Out Room” MANICS’ “Make Out Room” pays homage to San Francisco’s Mission District dive club of the same name. Reminiscent of Holy Ghost!, The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem, the track is a disco dance punk cut that captures the energy and dysfunction of the scenes inside small clubs around the world. “Make Out Room” is filled with stiff drinks, destructive lovers, bad drugs and too many characters acting out.
More on MANICS MANICS is an indie dance live act from San Francisco comprised of Jordan Deherrera and Chris Sanders. Their performances are a medley of indie pop vocals, live bass, analog synths, percussion and modulation; accompanied by custom lights and visuals. Since its inception in 2012, the project has developed into a dynamic performance of technology and raw emotion with their music being supported by Odessa, Goldroom, Poolside, Steve Aoki & others around the world culminating in over 1.5M streams worldwide. After self releasing countless singles, the duo released their “Binary EP” via Dim Mak Records in March 2019. The duo are also the master-minds behind the bay-area indie label POPGANG Records. Founded in 2013, the label features artists and producers across a wide swath of genres and sub-cultures while retaining a cohesive identity built on the punk-DIY mentality turned modern. With over 110 releases to date, POPGANG’s catalog is a diverse collection of work from the bay area & beyond.
