For generations, eager customers have strolled through the simple, yet dramatic red brick archway at Maranello to collect their new Ferrari. In the Norfolk countryside, Lotus engineers complete endless laps of the company’s Hethel test track. Thus, ensuring the firm’s cars still boast unparalleled driving dynamics. For nearly sixty years, Weissach has played an integral role to Porsche’s success on the racetrack and in the showroom. Furthermore, the memories created during these six decades command a deserving role in Porsche folklore.
Since Porsche’s relocation to the Stuttgart area from Gmund in Austria, testing and development had mostly taken place at Malmsheim airfield. However, with the firm growing quickly and the introduction of the 911 imminent, a more purpose-built facility was required. Initially, Dr Ferry Porsche acquired a 103-acre plot in a triangular area between the villages of Weissach, Flacht and Monsheim. Little did Dr Porsche know, this humble site would grow into a pillar of Porsche’s engineering prowess.

The second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship resulted in heartbreak for Porsche Penske Motorsport. Both Porsche 963 were eliminated in a caution with less than 20 minutes to go while running first and third. Despite the accident, the No. 6 Porsche 963 was still able to finish third in class and grab Porsche Penske Motorsport IMSA podium.
The 12-hour race was a roller coaster ride for both Porsche 963. The No. 6 lost a lap just a few hours into the race when smoke developed in the cockpit, bringing Nick Tandy into the pits. The crew serviced the car and concluded the issue wasn’t anything to be worried about and sent him back out. Just a short time later, the No. 7 fell off the lead lap with a suspension issue.
Fortunately, both problems in the first half of the race were rectified. The fast pace of the Porsche 963, along with sound strategy and fast pit stops, allowed both cars to get back on the lead lap during a wave-around caution period.

Born in Frederikstad, Norway, Dennis Olsen began his motorsport career in 2006 in karting. He competed internationally until 2014 and won several championship titles, including the German karting championship. In 2013, the Norwegian entered formula racing. In his debut season, he finished third in the drivers' standings. 2016 was a breakthrough year in Dennis' career. His successes did not go unnoticed by car manufacturers - he became a Porsche works driver and was accepted into the junior program. He contested the Porsche Supercup and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in his first two years. In 2017, he was runner-up in the Supercup and champion in the German one-make cup. In the following years, various international GT races followed as a Porsche Young Professional. In 2019, Dennis won the drivers' championship of the International GT Challenge. He celebrated one of his greatest endurance racing successes to date in the same year with overall victory in the Porsche 911 GT3 R at the Bathurst 12 Hours. In 2022, the contract driver competed in the 24-hour race at Daytona. The quartet from KCMG crossed the finish line in third position. In addition to competing in some of the world's most famous endurance races, Dennis Olsen is contesting his first DTM season this year. Based out of Sonoma, California, Flying Lizard Motorsports is one of the most iconic sports car teams in motorsports, having celebrated ten driver and team championships, as well as competed internationally at the 24 Hours of Le Mans eight times. The team currently races in the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, GT America powered by AWS, Pirelli GT4 America, Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, and Porsche Sprint Challenge.
The Lizards burst on the American Le Mans Series scene in 2004, becoming a Porsche factory-supported team in 2007, racing in the GT class. In 2013, the team moved to the GTC class, still competing in legendary events such as the 12 Hours of Sebring and 24 Hours of Daytona.
After ten years of ownership, founder Seth Neiman sold the team to longtime Crew Chief Tommy Sadler, Chief Strategist Thomas Blam, and former Lizard driver Darren Law, who turned the team into a customer racing program.
In 2014, the team expanded its program to include running two Audi R8 LMS in the TUDOR Championship, and in 2015, again expanded the program to include two Porsches in Porsche Club racing, and solidified a partnership to facilitate the running of the K-PAX Racing team in the Pirelli World Challenge series. Flying Lizard closed out the season with a dominating win at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill with Toyo Tires.
Flying Lizard has also competed in the 24 Heures du Mans from 2005 through 2012, finishing third in 2005, fourth in 2006, sixth in 2008, sixth in 2011, and fourth in 2012.
To date, the team continues to run in professional sportscar racing, holding 10 championships, 108 wins, 214 podiums, and 340 top-five finishes. The Sonoma-based team operates four shops out of Sonoma Raceway, running machinery from some of the world’s best manufacturers. Flying Lizard Motorsports has proven to be a championship contender no matter the race series or race car.

After a decade of dominance with the all-conquering 956 and 962, Porsche’s prototype racing prowess had waned by the start of the 1990s. In September 1988, the Porsche competition department disbanded, and the brilliantly creative Norbert Singer was consigned to road car development. If Singer were an undercover policeman, he’d been relegated to desk duties.
In 1991, the last 962 rolled out of Weissach and Porsche’s financial affairs weren’t as buoyant as they became in the 21st century. Furthermore, Porsche hadn’t won Le Mans since 1987 and the heady days of a Rothmans backed works effort. Times were bleak.
Pfaff Motorsports is one of the most successful sportscar racing teams in North America over the past decade. The team has led over 5,000 laps, achieved 36 pole positions, amassed 35 race wins and seven championships, a record of achievement capped by the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech GTD championship and a win at the 2022 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Harry King concluded his season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2022 very nicely. The 21-year-old won both races on the German circuit and is thus certain of the first place in the final standings, ahead of the Belgians Glenn van Parijs (NGT Racing) and Ghislain Cordeel (GP Elite).
In the early 1980s, Norbert Singer and his team penned a design which transcended sports car racing for almost fifteen years. Ditching their beloved tube frame chassis, Porsche’s first monocoque race car boasted three times the downforce of the all-conquering 917. Built to replace the ageing 936, the Porsche 956 was Singer’s answer to the conundrum of the upcoming Group C regulations for world championship sports car racing.
Valkyrie Racing is a female-driven race team on a mission to combat child trafficking. In 2017, Valkyrie Racing decided to take its platform and extreme rally race on all 7 continents. In a 1956 Porsche 356A, they competed in some of the most extreme rallies in the world - culminating in the boldest challenge of them all - 356 frozen miles in sub-zero Antarctica. In December 2021, they finally accomplished their goal driving nearly 20,000 total miles and becoming a global 1st in history.

It is unfathomable that it has been fifty years since Porsche and Ferrari went head-to-head at Le Mans in top class prototype machinery. No other automotive firm can rival Porsche and Ferrari’s unwavering commitment to motor racing. Since their inception in the late 1940s, Porsche and Ferrari have been ever present amongst a revolving door of competition from rival constructors.
Motorsport fanatics often struggle to construct an argument against the uninformed view of “Well they only win because they have the best car, that isn’t sport.” Of course, the truth of gaining an advantage with superior equipment is hard to ignore. However, only the very best drivers negotiate the pitfalls in and out of the car to reach the very top. To simply write off a racing champion due to an equipment advantage is disrespectful to the work and skill involved.
The LMGTE victors were Christian Ried, Lorenzo Ferrari and Gianmaria Bruni in the no77 Proton Competition Porsche, with the team scoring their second win in a row. Bruni took the chequered flag 14.3 seconds ahead of David Perel in the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari 488. The South African put up a spirited defence of the lead handed to him by Duncan Cameron but couldn’t hold off the rapid Italian. The no66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari finished third, with Miguel Molina crossing the line 24 seconds behind the no55 Ferrari at the end of the 4 Hours of Barcelona.
“Racing improves the breed”. “Win on a Sunday, sell on a Monday”. “Technological transfer”. The well-worn cliches of motorsport. Yet, they remain vital to the success of our sport.

As a kid, Kay watched his father racing behind the fences and soon wanted to sit behind a steering wheel himself. At the age of eight, Kay made his karting début and won several national titles in different divisions where his talent was immediately noticeable. After a successful career in karting, racing European and World championships, kay stepped up to racecars.
In 2018, he made his début in motorsport, racing the European Le Mans series with Eurointernational in LMP3 class. After reaching the top step of the podium at Road to Le Mans and the 4 Hours of Monza, Kay signed a deal with United Autosports for the Asian Le Mans series, ultimately winning the 4 Hours of Fuji. In 2019, Kay took part in several races of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and won his début race at Zandvoort. In 2020, he continued racing Porsche in the Carrera Cup Germany with Huber Racing.
This year, Kay will be racing the Porsche Carrera Cup North America with Kelly-Moss racing. In addition to his racing program, Kay is working on his bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Miami and strives towards excellence in racing as well as academically.
Perfect weekend for Bastian Buus: After best times in practice and qualifying, the 19-year-old Dane also secured victory in the fifth round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. After 13 laps in hot summer temperatures on the Le Castellet Formula 1 racetrack, Buus crossed the finish line around half a second ahead of his British BWT Lechner Racing team-mate Harry King. Third place went to defending champion Larry ten Voorde (Team GP Elite) from the Netherlands. Dylan Pereira (BWT Lechner Racing) from Luxembourg defended his lead in the standings with fourth place.
Pfaff Motorsports is one of the most successful sportscar racing teams in North America over the past decade. The team has led over 5,000 laps, achieved 36 pole positions, amassed 35 race wins and seven championships, a record of achievement capped by the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech GTD championship and a win at the 2022 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
IMSA: The plaid Pfaff Porsche finished the race where it started – at the head of the class. In the Canadian team’s return to its home track, Pfaff Motorsports extended its points lead in GTD PRO with a nearly perfect flag-to-flag victory by Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell in the No. 9 Porsche 911 GT3R.
ELMS: The Number 77 Proton Competition Porsche had lead the majority of the the 4 hour race until the final 10 minutes of of the race, after the final splash and go pit stops the the Reigning Champions Iron Lynx were the first of the 12 LMGTE cars to cross the finish line with Davide Rigon in the number 60 Ferrari 488 GTE EVO fighting his way up the order to take the chequered flag at the home race for the all Italian team. However, the number 60 Ferrari stopped on track and was pushed to the pitlane by the number 83 Iron Dames Ferrari, which is a breach of Article 15.1.1 of the 2022 ELMS Sporting Regulations and Article 2.5 of the FIA International Sporting Code (ISC) and was disqualified promoting the Proton team from second to first.
His career started in 2011, as Adam made his debut in the Comer Cadet class. In his first season he became Vice-Welsh Champion at the Glan-Y-Gors Kart Circuit.
The following season in 2012 - Adam took the MBKC Club Championships, the MBKC Autumn Championship, the MBKC Winter Championship and the Welsh Championship in Comer Cadet.
Adam moved up into Junior Karting in 2013, where he took part in the Minimax class competing in the Super One British Karting Championship against 41 other competitors.
Adam took two podiums at National level - with a 2nd place finish at Glan-Y-Gors and a 3rd place finish at PF International. This led to him winning the Minimax Rookie of the Year Award.
2014 saw him once again compete in the British Minimax Championship - this time placing 4th overall after consistent podium finishes throughout the year.
Adam stepped up into the JuniorMax class for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. He had a great couple of seasons, winning the European Winter Cup in Valencia, Spain as well as being crowned English Champion. Adam finished 7th in the European Championship in 2016.
Adam's car racing career started when he won the Ginetta Junior Scholarship at the end of 2016. This gave him a fully funded drive in the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2017 where he went on to win the Ginetta Junior Winter Series at the end of the 2017 season.
2018 was a great year for Adam, he was crowned Ginetta Junior Champion following on from a brilliant season which saw him take 7 race victories and a further 10 podiums.
Adam made the step up into the Ginetta GT5 Challenge championship in 2019, he had a great season learning the new slick-tyres which saw him take multiple wins and podiums throughout the year.
Adam made the jump into Ginetta's flagship championship in 2020, The Ginetta GT4 Supercup Championship. He had a strong season winning 4 races and taking a further 6 podiums, finishing 4th in the championship.
Following on from a strong debut season in the championship, Adam returned to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup championship for 2021. His 2021 title campaign couldn't have gone much better, winning the championship with a round to spare including 8 race wins and a further 8 podiums.
Following on from successful 2021, Adam was most recently selected as the Porsche GB Junior driver 2022/2023 meaning he will be competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship for the next two seasons.
25 starts, 3 overall wins and 7 class victories qualify David Donner as bonafide Pikes Peak royalty. In recent years, David has campaigned various exotic machines from Porsche's high performance stable.

The Porsche Penske Motorsport team sends the new Porsche 963 to hunt for overall victories in the world’s greatest endurance races. Beginning in 2023, two of the hybrid LMDh-spec prototypes will be fielded in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The racing vehicle that was unveiled today (Friday, June 24) at Goodwood in England will carry the traditional Porsche motor racing colors: white, red and black. In the cockpits of the 500 kW (680 HP) racers, experienced and championship winning prototype drivers are paired with seasoned specialists from the Porsche factory driver squad. Two generations, one passion: the Ingram family’s Porsche collection in North Carolina is magnificent for many reasons – not least for how it has been rebuilt following a heartbreaking calamity.
There are places where magic happens; places that carry a piece of the past within them and places that seem like a future promise, as if their day has yet to come. If you ever have the good fortune to behold the Ingram family’s Porsche collection, you’ll feel a bit of all that: magic, a glimpse into history, and the hint of a grand future. Since the late 1990s, Bob Ingram and his wife Jeanie have assembled a collection of 80 exquisite Porsche models, representing a fascinating cross-section of the sports-car brand’s past seven decades. The couple, from Durham in North Carolina, share their passion for Porsche with their sons, Rory and Cam.
But not everything has been plain sailing. In April 2019, the family experienced a nightmare when a gas pipe exploded in front of the warehouse where large parts of the collection were housed. Two people died, the neighbouring building was completely destroyed, and the roof of the Ingrams’ hall collapsed, badly damaging about half of the precious cars below. “It was the saddest day of our lives,” Bob Ingram recalls. “Our thoughts are still with the people who were hurt and the families who lost loved ones.”

Porsche won the GTE Pro class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Works drivers Gianmaria Bruni from Italy, Richard Lietz from Austria and Frédéric Makowiecki from France crossed the finish line in first place at the end of an intense and exciting race over 350 laps.
The trio at the wheel of the Porsche 911 RSR with start number 91 thus set a new distance record for GTE cars: 4,769 kilometres. The sister car with Kévin Estre (France), Michael Christensen (Denmark) and Laurens Vanthoor (Belgium) at the wheel finished the 90th edition of the endurance classic in fourth place. In the GTE-Am category, the Porsche customer team WeatherTech Racing finished on the podium.

Porsche Motorsport and Team Penske have agreed to collaborate closely in fielding the new LMDh vehicle commencing in 2023. The successful United States-based team will work together with the experts from Weissach, Germany – headquarters of Porsche Motorsport – to run factory entries in the North American IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The Texan astrophysicist Kathy Mead competed in the legendary "Pikes Peak International Hill Climb" for the first time in 2020 – at the age of 61.
he Porsche community is full of remarkable characters, none more so than retired astrophysics professor Kathy Mead. The 61-year-old Texan only started racing four years ago, but quickly rose to prominence in 2020 after a stellar debut at the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.
The modest and straight-talking Mead sees her late entry into motorsport neither as unusual nor a disadvantage, however. “There are a lot of what we still call ‘gentleman drivers’ in the US,” she says. “Because if you don’t get into racing when you’re six, then you have to wait until you have the resources to go do it. In my case my first track event was when I was 51. And frankly, I needed some judgement before I put myself in a fast car!”

The reigning champion Larry ten Voorde has delivered an exceptional performance at round two of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Monte Carlo (Monaco): Driving for the GP Elite team, the Dutchman won the race on the legendary Formula 1 racetrack with a lead of almost five seconds. The decision for the second grid spot, however, went down to the wire: after 17 laps, the French Martinet by Alméras driver Dorian Boccolacci crossed the finish line less than half a second ahead of the German Porsche Junior Laurin Heinrich from the SSR Huber Racing squad. Clinching his second Monaco victory in two years, ten Voorde replaces Dylan Pereira (BWT Lechner Racing) at the top of the overall rankings. The Luxembourger came fourth ahead of his British teammate Harry King.
In 2015 Loek made his first meters on a car circuit after years of karting at European and World level. He immediately won the title in his debut year in motorsport (2018) which gave his career the boost which he could have only dreamed of.
Since Porsche’s ambitious debut at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1951, the sports car firm has accumulated an unparralled tally of victories. To date, Porsche has scored 19 outright wins and 108 in class at the iconic race. No other manufacturer comes close.
Although Porsche immediately began winning in the smaller capacity classes with various iterations of the 356, 550 and 718, outright victory at Le Mans seemed a distant and ludicrous fantasy.
Dylan Pereira has won the season opener for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the Formula 1 circuit in Imola, northern Italy. Undeterred by the rain, the Luxembourger from the BWT Lechner Racing team achieved a superior start-finish victory. Dutchman Larry ten Voorde (Team GP Elite) crossed the finish line in second place ahead of British BWT Lechner driver Harry King. Laurin Heinrich (D/SSR Huber Racing) finished his first Supercup race as a Porsche Junior in fourth place. Danish rookie Bastian Buus showed a strong race in another Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of the BWT Lechner Racing team and was rewarded with fifth place.
Maassen raced a full-season for Team Penske in the 2006 ALMS campaign, winning three races at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, Road America and Road Atlanta en route to capturing the LMP2 Championship in the famous Porsche RS Spyder. Maassen continued his strong run into 2007, when he won three more races and recorded nine podium finishes, including back-to-back overall wins at Miller Motorsports Park and Lime Rock (Conn.) Park.

Porsche’s first model - the 356 - was no one hit wonder. From a humble workshop in Gmund Austria to a thriving works in Zuffenhausen, Porsche produced approximately 76,000 of its Volkswagen inspired sports car. Although most 356s are over sixty years old, many continue to grace roads all around the world.
Peter Gregg was a fierce and uncompromising competitor. Four Daytona 24 hour outright wins, six Sebring 12-hour class wins and five overall IMSA championships were just reward for the exhaustive preparation demanded by ‘Peter Perfect’. Gregg was known for his successful Brumos Porsche dealerships and a ‘Batman and Robin’ style racing partnership with Hurley Haywood. However, behind the scenes, life was not always perfect for Peter Gregg.
He was an integral part of the Brumos Racing family, driving a Brumos Racing Daytona Prototype in every Rolex Sports Car series race from 2003 through 2010. In 2009 he co-drove to victory in the Rolex 24 at Daytona. David and co-driver Darren Law joined Action Express Racing in 2011, sharing three podium finishes and 3rd place finish in DP driver points. David returned to Action Express Racing in 2012 with an all-new Corvette Daytona Prototype finishing 4th in points. David was the 2013 Rolex-24 hour GX class winner in Napleton Racing’s Porsche Cayman.
Donohue began racing in selected races in 1992, with his first full season being 1994 when he won the Bridgestone Supercar Championship in a BMW M5. Donohue continued his association with BMW in 1995 and 1996 and is credited with the first-ever podium finish for BMW of North America’s M3 GT racing effort.
In 1996 Donohue joined Chrysler’s fledgling Super-Touring program where he won the first ever Super Touring car race in North America in a Dodge Stratus and went on to capture the CART Super Touring Driver’s Championship in 1997.
Joining Daimler Chrysler’s Dodge Viper program for the next three years, Donohue co-drove a Dodge Viper GTS-R to a 1998 GT-2 class victory in his very first drive at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and took six GTS class victories in the American Le Mans Series in 1999 and 2000.
2001 saw Donohue on ovals as he drove three races in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and twelve Busch Grand National Series before returning to road racing in 2002 as a long-distance specialist for Panoz Motorsports in the ALMS’s LMP 900 class.
In 2003 Donohue joined Brumos Racing in their Porsche-powered, Daytona Prototype in the Grand Am’s new top class. In 2005 Porsche enlisted Donohue to drive their Carrera GT road car to a closed course lap record speed of over 196 mph and a closed course flying mile record speed of over 198 mph. In addition to his racing duties in 2006, Donohue was also an IROC test driver for the season.
The Sebring International Raceway throws major challenges at man and machine. About a third of the 6.02-kilometre racetrack consists of concrete slabs, which were previously part of the runway at the former Hendricks Army Airfield. The racetrack is known for its hefty bumps – especially on these sections. Due to this special feature, the racetrack located about 100 kilometres south of Orlando is often mentioned on social media with the hashtag #RespectTheBumps.

Even beyond the realms of Porsche, Jacky Ickx is one of the greatest sports car drivers to have ever lived. But to the close-knit community of engineers and racers who worked with him in Weissach for the best part of a decade, he is a true icon.
Jacky Ickx made a big impression on Porsche with his great feel for racing cars, knowing what they were capable of while never taking his eyes off the ultimate prize. Ickx ensured that he was ideally prepared for races, boasting high levels of concentration and remarkable speed, and quickly became the undisputed number-one driver in the Porsche team. In 1976, 1977, 1981 and 1982, he took Porsche to victory in the classic 24-hour endurance race.
Jacky Ickx was born on 1 January 1945 as the son of a Belgian motorsport journalist. He progressed from Formula Two to Formula One and finished as runner-up for Ferrari in 1970 behind the late Jochen Rindt, who was posthumously declared World Champion after suffering a fatal accident in Monza. ‘Back then, I thought the world belonged to me alone,’ explained Ickx. ‘I risked things that I would never have done later.’ Ickx subsequently changed his driving style: ‘I only attempted to overtake where this was truly feasible and stopped trying to achieve the impossible.’
Driving the Porsche 956 in the Group C era, Ickx won the World Endurance Championship in 1982 and 1983. Ickx won a total of 49 races in the World Endurance Championship, more than any other driver in the history of endurance racing.
After winning the 1983 Paris–Dakar Rally in a Mercedes G-Class, he was able to convince Porsche to take on the desert rally. While Ickx organised the entries and attracted the sponsors, Porsche provided cars and technicians under the leadership of race director Peter Falk. Ickx started this marathon event for Porsche between 1984 and 1986 as both team boss and driver, concluding his career with the team by taking second place in the Paris–Dakar Rally.
Jeff Zwart – the Pikes Peak-winning, Porsche-loving film-directing legend. Jeff Zwart knows Porsche like few other filmmakers. After 30 years shooting commercials and short films for the brand, combined with a lifelong love of the cars and a successful career racing them, you’d be hard pressed to find another living person more intimately in tune with how to capture Porsche in motion.
Today’s cars are built on the knowledge, experience and ideas of the early innovators. It is our hope that a walk through this magnificent assemblage of automotive history will spark creativity, curiosity and create special memories for all who experience it. When the team at Brumos decided to bring this collection to life, the decision was based on more than just showcasing the cars themselves. Although the collection does represent some of the most historically significant cars you’ll ever see, we also wanted to recognize the drivers and the inventors behind these incredible machines.
Young Austrian Thomas Preining converted an impressive, growing maturity into great success in 2018. The youngster claimed a remarkable ten race victories on his way to the title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. Only Sven Müller, in 2016, had ever matched this record. Preining also impressed in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The Austrian was still in contention for the title right up to the season finale in Mexico City. Together with champion Michael Ammermüller, he won the Team Championship for the Lechner Racing team. In 2019, Preining will drive for Porsche customer team Gulf Racing in the FIA WEC, among other things.
The Porsche customer teams put their stamp on the 24 Hours of Daytona. The 911 GT3 R from Pfaff Motorsports won the new GTD Pro class after a gripping duel with KCMG. The works pilots Mathieu Jaminet from France, Matt Campbell from Australia and Felipe Nasr from Brazil prevailed in the big showdown against the crew of the Asian customer team from Hong Kong. In the GTD category, Wright Motorsports celebrated a triumph with the over 500 hp GT3 car from Weissach.

On 26 January 2012, Dalziel scored his first career Rolex Sports Car Series pole position in the 2012 24 Hours of Daytona in the No. 8 Starworks Motorsport Riley-Ford Daytona Prototype. He went on to finish second in the race with teammates Allan McNish, Lucas Luhr, Enzo Potolicchio and Alex Popow.He won the Watkins Glen 200 and six podiums, finishing runner-up in the Rolex DP drivers championship. Consequently, expectations are high for the endurance classic in the US state of Florida.

A new year brings new teams, new combinations, new classes and a new Porsche race car as customer programs prepare for the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Michelin Pilot Challenge seasons. 14 total privateer teams have entered Porsche-built race cars – evenly split across the two sports car racing series – at the annual Roar Before the Rolex 24 scheduled for January 21 – 22. The two day test on the 3.56-mile, 12-turn Daytona International Speedway road course not only gives competitors an opportunity to prepare for the 60th Running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona but also sets the grid for the January 29 – 30 endurance classic with a 100-minute qualifying race scheduled for January 23.
Güven climbed into a kart at the age of five and was supported by his father, who is also an amateur racer in Turkey. At the age of twelve, the youngster from Istanbul switched to SimRacing and competed for the world’s largest team with today’s Formula 1 drivers Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. At 17, he returned to real motorsport and won several races in Turkey. In 2016, Güven climbed the ladder into international GT racing. The following year he went on to contest the Porsche Carrera Cup France and the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux, concluding the latter series as the rookie champion.

Hardwick gives the background on his race career. He started off-road motorcycle racing at an early age before moving into jet ski racing. In jet ski racing he won his first race in the beginner class and continued through High School and College winning amateur nationals and eventually turned professional.
Ryan currently races from Wright motorsport in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship.
In 2004, Jan started in handful of F3000 races until one of the team partners pulled out and Jan moved back to the German Formula 3 series. Despite missing the first six races of the season, Heylen stormed to six wins and eight podium finishes to finish third in the Championship. This result lead to a seat in the 2005 World Series of Renault touring car championship, which he won. In addition, Jan drove for the winning team in the 24 Hours of Zolder behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Corvette.
It was during the 2005 season that he began thinking of racing in the United States. Careful planning and discussions with people in the sport allowed Jan to compete in the Champ Car World Series in 2006, driving for Dale Coyne’s little team. To this day, Jan will tell you that the most impressive car he has ever driven is a Champ Car, with its 850 horsepower engine and over the top aerodynamics. With Cristiano daMatta as his team mate, Heylen quickly learned how to deal with the powerful beasts and eventually scored the best finish the Coyne team had ever enjoyed up to that time, a fifth place at the Cleveland Grand Prix, out qualifying his much more experienced team mate at half the races the team ran in. The two men became great friends and to this day, Jan regards daMatta as one of the nicest guys in the sport.
Following a last minute deal with Eric Bachelart’s Conquest Racing team for 2007, Jan found himself back in a Champ Car, this time driving a brand new Panoz DP-01. Taking over the car three races into the season, Heylen, working with the engineers and crew men of Conquest Racing, developed their car from a car that was only capable of running around in fifteenth place to one capable of challenging for wins on multiple kinds of tracks, with a second place finish at the Grand Prix of Holland in Assen being the best finish of the season and the best finish ever for Conquest Racing.
From 2011 on, Jan has been racing in the Grand Am - now IMSA Series piloting various Porsche race cars.

Sixty-nine years ago, Alec Ulmann’s dream to bring international endurance racing to the United States came true and continues to this day. At 10.10am on the 20th of March, the finest sports car teams will embark upon the 69th running of the 12 hours of Sebring. However, Sebring’s history has been as bumpy as its ancient concrete surface.
Ulmann’s blueprint for the 12 hours of Sebring was inspired by the 24 hours of Le Mans. In the 1930s, Ulmann travelled to spectate at Le Mans in the days of the notorious Bentley boys. After the war, Ulmann was tasked by the Air Force to find a venue for repurposing surplus military aircraft. Hendrick Field’s long runways and ample hangar space fitted the bill.
In 2021 Larry ten Voorde won the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany titles for the second time in a row. The dutchman from the GP Elite team talks about the meaning of motorsport in his homeland, his laborious path into professional motor racing and his friendship with Max Verstappen.
Lorcan Hanafin had a hugely successful 2021 season behind the wheel of the Porsche 991 Cup Car for JTR. The young Yorkshire driver finished second in the championship after one of the closet title races the Carrera Cup Great Britain has seen. Hanafin has now been selected to represent Porsche Motorsport GB in the Porsche Motorsport Junior shootout in Spain. He will face junior drivers from Porsche Carrera Cup Championships from around the world. The global Porsche Junior Shootout will be utilising the new 992 Cup Car for the first time this year ahead of its race introduction in 2022.
A short walk from Berlin’s Bradenberg gate, sat a most bizarre and terrifying racing circuit-Avus. In its most extreme form, Avus stretched for twelve miles and consisted of two endless straights. Bookended by a curve at either side, this road going superspeedway lay in the shadows of a city ravaged by political anguish.
Avus became one of the first roads on earth to be surfaced with asphalt and members of the public could take a lap for a modest ten Reichsmarks. Although racing began at the Berlin circuit in 1921, Avus gained its most notorious feature in 1936.
While the circuit hosted the 1936 Berlin Olympics cycle races, the enormous banked North Curve was erected, ready for racing to return in 1937. At a towering 43 degrees, the North Curve banking was soon dubbed ‘The Wall of Death’. Grand prix machines from Mercedes and Auto Union could swoop through the North Curve almost flat out. In 1937, Bernd Rosemeyer lapped the 11.98-mile circuit in his Auto Union at a staggering 171.74 miles per hour. Thirty-one years passed before Graham Hill matched this dizzying speed at the 1968 Indianapolis 500.
Jamey Price is a motorsport and automotive photographer from Charlotte, North Carolina who's motorsport work has taken him to more than 17 countries, and around most of the continental United States.
Price's photography career began while competing as a thoroughbred steeplechase horse racing jockey and exercise rider in the United States, England and Ireland. During his racing career, Jamey rode more than 50 races and notched 11 wins in the saddle. Throughout that time, Price also covered his life in horse racing from behind the camera, taking photos between his races, and eventually self published a book titled "Chasing: Racing Life in England & Ireland."

From 1966 to 1974, the unhinged Canadian American Challenge Cup (Can-Am) stirred innovation that has never been emulated. Can-Am’s rulebook was thinner than a political party pamphlet, enticing manufacturers like McLaren, Lola and eventually Porsche, to build ever more outrageous machines.
Porsche’s assault on Can-Am was all-conquering. Partnered with Penske racing, Porsche unseated the undisputed Can-Am champions - McLaren. Driven by Mark Donohue and George Follmer, Penske’s Porsches were envied by the paddock. Porsche’s 917 Spyders won twelve of the seventeen events they entered. George Follmer became Can-Am champion in 1972 with the 917/10. Donohue followed in 1973 with the 917/30.
The collision twelve minutes before the end of the race in the FIA WEC season finale in Bahrain continues to cause discussions from both Porsche and Ferrari fans. Alessandro Pier Guidi met Michael Christensen in the last corner, who then spun off the track. Victory and title went to Ferrari in Italy. The protest was later rejected but Porsche has appealed the rejection of its protest, likely bringing the case to the FIA International Court of Appeal.

In 1955, James Dean was swiftly establishing himself as Hollywood’s brightest young star. By September of 1955, the cult hero was busy filming his latest movie ‘Giant’, following the successful production of ‘Rebel Without a Cause’. However, Dean’s attention had been grabbed by the exhilaration of racing Porsches. Sadly, Dean never took to the grid in his Porsche Spyder.
James Dean’s all too brief motor racing journey began at the Palm Springs road races, in March 1955. Although this would be a club meeting, a few blockbuster names adorned the entry list. One such entrant was Ford GT driver-engineer, Ken Miles, driving an MG. Dean danced his new Porsche 356 Super Speedster through the field to win the preliminary race convincingly. In doing so, Dean qualified for the main event. News of Dean’s racing debut spread throughout Hollywood in no time. After all, James Dean was the name on everyone’s lips.

Not every driver that takes to the grid at the 24 hours of Le Mans is receiving a salary to compete. In fact, a significant proportion of the grid will contribute vast sums of money to secure their place in a team. Doctors, stockbrokers, lawyers and entrepreneurs gather every June to share their common addiction for speed and competition.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, a cast of excessively funded amateurs appeared in American sports car racing. As it would transpire, Don and Bill Whittington, John Paul and Randy Lanier, were funding their racing illegally. All would be arrested for separate drug trafficking and tax evasion offences by the end of 1986.
Since 2017, Porsche Professional Matteo Cairoli has contested in the WEC, Le Mans, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and this year also won the Nürburgring 24 Hours with Manthey-Racing.

Born and raised in Guernsey, Seb Priaulx has been competing in motorsport for over a decade. Starting at just eight years old, the prodigious young talent claimed multiple karting titles before making the transition to car-racing in the Ginetta Junior Championship.
Winning the Winter Series title and finishing as overall vice-champion during a two year spell in that series, Priaulx went on to win races in single-seaters in the F4 British Championship before making the move into the British GT Championship in 2019 with Multimatic Motorsports.
A superb season saw Priaulx win two races and finish at the GT4 class vice-champion, before winning on his Michelin Pilot Challenge debut in the USA. His blossoming career will continue in 2020 and beyond after signing a multi-year deal with Multimatic Motorsports.

There may not have been the repeat of last year’s top five finish, but Ben Barker and the plucky GR Racing team once again went the distance in the world’s toughest endurance race, the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Both Barker and GR (formerly Gulf) Racing were making their sixth consecutive appearance at the Circuit de la Sarthe and were initially encouraged by the pre-event pace, not just of their #86 Porsche 911 RSR, but the Weissach marque’s entire representation in the 23-entry GTE-Am category. With a mammoth 61-car entry across four classes, overall honours were not the target, however, with team and driver both looking to better last season’s fifth in GTE-Am, and qualifying only served to raise expectations, as Barker put the distinctive black-and-orange Porsche into P2, achieving a personal goal of making it through to the ‘hyperpole’ shootout reserved for the fastest qualifiers in each class.
Porsche is once again relying on the services of three drivers per vehicle at the Sarthe. A total of twelve 911 RSR will compete in the GTE-Pro and GTE-Am classes at the 89th edition of the world's most famous endurance race. With 19 overall triumphs and 108 class victories, Porsche is by far the most successful manufacturer at the 24-hour classic in France.

Rob currently splits his time between multiple board and advisory roles across both the defense and consumer markets, as well as his professional motorsport venture competing at the highest levels of sportscar racing.
Richard Lietz is a man for all situations – and for all racing series. The Austrian celebrated the greatest success of his career in the 2015 Sports Car World Championship WEC when he won the FIA World Endurance Cup with the Porsche 911 RSR as the best GT driver. Lietz, who is as fast in his spare time with rallying and ice races as he is in classical circuit racing, is familiar with success: He claimed his first championship title in 2001 as the winner of the Austrian Rally Challenge. In 2007, Porsche signed him on as a works driver. The avid rock climber was on a roll: He won the International GT Open and in 2009 and 2010 he took home the GT class trophy of the Le Mans Series. In 2013, Richard Lietz celebrated his third Le Mans victory after 2007 and 2010. The Austrian kicked off the 2014 season with his second win at the Daytona 24-hour classic, and he was one of the winning trio when Porsche scored a historic success in October 2015 with its first overall victory at the American Petit Le Mans classic. In 2018, he won the Nürburgring 24-hour race with Frédéric Makowiecki, Patrick Pilet and Nick Tandy.

Richard Watling shares in his story on the famous Rothmans - Porsche partnership. The Porsche 956 made its debut at the Silverstone 6 Hour race, the second round of the World Championship for Makes with Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell driving for the factory. After missing the following round at the 1000 km Nürburgring for developmental reasons, the Ickx/Bell unit reappeared at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They led the race for the entire 24 hours, eventually taking the overall win - their third win together. As they had already won in 1981 with a Porsche 936 that had used an early version of the 956 engine, their car had started number 1. The two other factory 956 followed them, so the three factory Porsches finished 1-2-3 in the order of their starting numbers.
“Endurance races are my profession; hill climbs and rallies are my hobbies. All of it combined is my passion.” No matter what racetrack, no matter what surface, Romain Dumas just wants to drive. He doesn’t just longingly chase his dreams, he goes all-out to fulfil them. In 2017, Dumas won his class at the Monte Carlo Rally. During his summer break the Frenchman often heads to the USA to tackle the spectacular hill-climb race up Pikes Peak. With honours: In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018, he conquered the 4,301-metre-high summit in the Rocky Mountains to clinch overall victory, after having already secured a class win in 2012 and the title “Rookie of the Year”. And he’s also successful in his fulltime job: Eight overall wins at the 24-hour races of Le Mans, Nürburgring and Spa. He crowned his Le Mans triumph of 2016 at the wheel of a Porsche 919 Hybrid by winning the Sports Car World Endurance Championship WEC.

The 20-year-old took the title in his first year in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. The Porsche Junior took 12 wins from 16 races. This year King defends his title and also makes the next step in his career, driving for TeamParker Revs in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
Gianmaria Bruni had waited a long time for this: On July 2nd, 2017, the Italian contested his first race for Porsche with the 911 RSR in Watkins Glen. The six-hour classic in the USA represented a new chapter in his already successful career, which includes victories and titles in the world’s most important sports car championships. His greatest successes of recent years include victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2014, victory in the Sports Car World Endurance Championship WEC in 2013 and 2014 as well as winning the title in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (2011, 2012) and the GT Open (2012). He also won the Sebring 12 Hours in 2010, and the 24 Hours of Spa in 2015. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018, the Italian impressed in qualifying, lapping the 13.6-kilometre circuit at the wheel of the Porsche 911 RSR in 3:47.504 minutes – the fastest ever qualifying time for GTE vehicle at Le Mans.

Bernhard is the longest-serving Porsche works driver. The German began his successful Porsche career in 1999 as a Porsche Junior, and is the only works driver to date to be crowned champion in all categories of the Porsche pyramid: In 2001 he won the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, in 2004 the GT title of the American Le Mans Series, and in 2007 and 2008 he became LMP2 champion of the ALMS with the RS Spyder, and world champion in 2015 with the 919 Hybrid. Bernhard secured the driver’s world championship title in 2017. Moreover, he has won all major sports car endurance races: Daytona, Sebring, as well as five overall victories at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. In 2010 and 2017 he scored overall victory at Le Mans. He also manages the ‘Team 75 Bernhard’ and fields the Porsche 911 GT3 R at the ADAC GT Masters.

30-years in the making, the Porsche Carrera Cup North America. As with all national Carrera Cups worldwide, Porsche, through Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA), will manage the single-driver per-entry series. The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) will act as official sanctioning body as well as manage scrutineering and steward on-track activity. With this first race at Sebring International Raceway now complete, the Porsche Carrera Cup North America will take its place as the pinnacle of one-make cup championships on the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid in North America. Joshua Rogers is currently regarded as one of the best sim racers in the world. After three successful seasons with a Ferrari in the GTD PRO-AM category, including two Petit Le Mans wins, Cooper and his family began to assess options for 2021. Rumours soon circulated that Cooper and Weathertech Racing would step up to the pro dominated GTLM category for 2021.
Although privateer teams can enter GTLM, the category has essentially been an exclusive arena for manufacturer teams and their superstar drivers. Such are the prohibitive costs involved in running complex GTLM machines.
Logic may suggest that a privateer team would be wise to remain in the PRO-AM based GTD category. However, the MacNeil family follow their own path. Particularly with their Weathertech brand. Typically, significantly cheaper manufacturing costs force companies to look abroad for production. Not Weathertech. Since launching the auto accessories firm in 1989, David MacNeil has driven home an ethos of design and manufacture in the United States. Weathertech’s Superbowl adverts normally centre around this very message.
When rumours of Weathertech’s alleged GTLM plan intensified, many believed the alliance with Ferrari would continue. After all, Cooper MacNeil had accumulated significant mileage in various iterations of Ferrari’s 488.
As the world sleepwalked back to work after the festive break, Weathertech Racing confirmed their GTLM entry for 2021. However, the big shock was the choice of machine. Porsche, not Ferrari, would take this ambitious privateer effort into the GTLM lion’s den. Incredibly, the MacNeil’s impressive GTLM ambitions failed to stimulate interest or support at Maranello.
Once word reached Weissach that the incredible 911 RSR-19 could continue running in North America, the unparralled Porsche customer racing operation leapt into action. Leading Porsche customer outfit, Proton Competition, were also enlisted to help with operations at the track.
Delighted to find a privateer willing to run the exotic RSR, Porsche deployed their own engineers and a roster of works drivers to assist the Weathertech effort. However, this is very much ‘the Porsche way’. When a privateer team with sufficient credentials steps up, Porsche will meet them halfway. Brumos Racing, Martini International Racing Team, Dyson Racing and many more have all received enthusiastic assistance from Weissach in pursuit of Porsche’s success. In fact, Porsche’s affiliation with customer racing teams has confirmed the Stuttgart brand’s superiority across endurance racing’s triple crown of Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring.

Madeline began her car racing career in 2019 stepping straight from go-karts to the third tier Supercar series Super3 Series with Brad Jones Racing To accelerate her learning she also raced in the Western Australian Formula 1000 State Championship.
Madeline intended to continue to race in the Super3 Series in 2020, with Brad Jones Racing as well as planning to race a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car in the Thailand Super Series with Earl Bamber Motorsport. The global COVID-19 pandemic changed those plans.
Madeline completed in round 1 of the Super3 Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park finishing 3rd. She later competed in two rounds of the Aussie Tin Tops, a series created to give people an opportunity to race during the pandemic. Madeline won the Super3 class at Townsville before swapping to a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car with McElrea Racing for round 2 at The Bend Motorsport Park where she finished 4th in the Super Stuttgart class.
In 2021, Madeline became one of the inaugural Porsche New Zealand Scholarship recipients. The scholarship provides partial funding for her to race in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia in 2021 with Earl Bamber Motorsport/Porsche Team New Zealand.

Magnus Walker is a fashion designer, style icon, automobile enthusiast—and owner of one of the world’s most astonishing collections of Porsches, housed in an old factory building in Los Angeles. How he made his way from the blue-collar British city of Sheffield to glitzy southern California is recounted in his autobiography, Urban Outlaw. The book exudes the same principle that has run through his life itself—speed is of the essence! Walker’s story also tells its readers how to keep their love of driving alive in an age of gridlock. For the first law of Urban Outlaw is the following: “Drive every day like a race—if need be, against yourself.”
In 2012, Christensen joined the Porsche young driver program. He resulted 7th in the 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup Germanyand 6th in the 2013 Porsche Supercup.
He became a factory driver in 2014, racing in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship joining Patrick Long in the GTLM class, winning 12 Hours of Sebring and North American Endurance Cup. In 2015 he competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship together with Richard Lietz, joining the Manthey Racing team in the GTE-Pro class. Winning the manufactures championship, and finishing 3rd in the drivers championship. In the 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championship he in succeeded winning 24 Hours of Le Mans for Porsche.

The Porsche customer team WeatherTech Racing has successfully concluded its first campaign with the Porsche 911 RSR in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Works driver Kévin Estre from France and the American Cooper MacNeil claimed the third podium step in the GTLM class at the qualifying event for 24 Hours of Daytona. In the GTD category for vehicles complying with GT3 regulations, Pfaff Motorsports achieved an even better result. The Belgian works driver Laurens Vanthoor and his Canadian teammate Zacharie Robichon planted their Porsche 911 GT3 R on second place in the race over one hour and forty minutes.
Motorsport runs deep in the veins of the Estre family. Kévin’s grandfather competed in karting, his father started in karts before moving to single-seaters. Jean Claude Estre still runs the Formula Motorsport squad in France. He also worked alongside rising Formula 1 stars like Nico Rosberg, Jean-Eric Vergne and Romain Grosjean. “After graduating from high school in France, I worked as a member of my family team for about five years. That proved to be a formative phase in my life,” says Kévin Estre. “I got my lorry license and worked as the team trucker and mechanic. I cleaned the rims and did many other jobs. Through this I gained an insight into all the processes. That still helps me today when it comes to teamwork,” he explains. Motor racing is not only a big topic with his parents, but also with his wife Carolin.

A competitive and driven character, Mike gained an interest in Motorsport from a young age, starting kart racing in his teens. He worked his was up through the ranks competing at national level before moving into single seater racing.
With a wealth of single seater experience in high-level junior formula such as Formula Renault and USF2000 (IndyCar Support Series in USA), he has since switched to saloon car racing and in established a career as a driving coach and driving specialist, with success in the UK VW Cup he made waves in the British Touring Car Championship in his first season in 2016, pushing series winner Ash Sutton to the very final rounds for the prestigious Jack Sears Trophy rookie award.
Mike makes a living as an driver coach and driving professional, with his work ranging from driving, promoting and presenting new automotive product, performing on track, drifting, precision driving, driver tuition and instruction, coaching junior drivers, reviewing cars, filming and much more. He has a Grade A ARDS (Association of Racing Driver Schools) licence and is often praised by his customers and clients for his straight forward and understanding approach.

Earl Bamber is a professional racing driver from New Zealand, currently competing as a factory driver for Porsche Motorsport in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTLM class.
He is the 2014 Porsche Supercup and double Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion. He has also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, having won in 2015 with Nico Hülkenberg and Nick Tandy and 2017 with Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley.
Duncan Vincent, motorsport Commentator, voice-over artists, compere and interviewer who's upbeat and knowledgeable presentation style has drawn praise from afar Duncan has been the lead commentator at Knockhill Racing Circuit for many years and his on the spot and insightful commentary style utilises his passion and first hand experience racing bikes and cars throughout the UK to connect with his audience either on-air or on live TV.
Ten Voorde’s passion for motorsport was ignited early in life. From the age of eight, he spent every spare moment with friends at the go-kart track in Emsbüren, in Lower Saxony. His father Henk drove him there in the morning, and in the evening he returned to his home, the 2,500-strong community of Boekelo near Enschede. From 2007 to 2012, he won eight titles in various karting series. Ten Voorde then switched to single-seater racing with support from the Dutch motorsport association KNAF. Alongside today’s Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen, he was part of the “Talent First” squad, and at the same time completed a degree in sports and business communication.
Ten Voorde‘s special connection to motor racing was put to the test during the most difficult phase in his career. In 2014 and 2015, financial reasons prevented him from competing. His budding career was in jeopardy, but throwing in the towel was simply not an option. At the Circuit Zandvoort, he cleaned cars, polished rims or sold coffee. He turned laps on the track in his old 1998 VW Polo and he maintained contact to companies and teams through his coaching activities. The effort paid off: In 2016, he made an impressive comeback, promptly winning the Porsche Super Sports Cup at his first attempt. The following year, he took home the rookie title in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. This season yielded the next milestones: champion in both the Carrera Cup and the international Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
The talented youngster is well on his way to turning his passion into a professional career. Last season he made his WEC debut in the ca. 510 hp Porsche 911 RSR. Contesting the GTE-Am class, ten Voorde celebrated a victory at Bahrain on the back of clinching second place in Shanghai. He also contested this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. His next mission: he is poised to tackle the final round of the 2019/2020 World Endurance Championship on 14 November for Project 1. With the Carrera Cup title under his belt, Larry ten Voorde is ready for the next big success.

Esmee Hawley chats about the Porsche Carrera Cup GB with championship winning outfit Team Parker Racing and a few days at Goodwood Speedweek.
Esmee began racing in karting at the age of 9 and moved up to racing cars aged 15, racing a Ginetta junior. In 2016 she progressed to GT racing, driving a Porsche Cayman GT4, becoming vice champion in her very first year.
In 2017, she continued to race a Porsche Cayman GT4 and had multiple wins and fastest laps, as well as winning the Brighton Speed Trials for Porsche GB. At the end of 2017, she was chosen as a finalist in the Porsche GB Junior shootout. After a close fought battle, she was highly praised by Porsche GB Motorsport Management. In 2018, Esmee was the Brand Ambassador for the Jardine group’s Porsche Centre South London. Following on the path of the Porsche Motorsport Pyramid, Esmee moved up to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship. The fastest one make series in the UK.
2019 was a busy time for Esmee as she took part in the W Series, her first time racing a single seater of any type. Learning lots and demonstrating her raw ability with a superb qualifying session at Brands Hatch, where she qualified third fastest, she narrowly missed out on automatically securing a spot in the series again for 2020, but for now is happy to put her full focus into GT racing.

For more than 50 years the Porsche Club has been organising motorsport championships for its members. In this period the Club has successfully built the foundations of Porsche Club racing and provided an opportunity where Club members can progress from driving their road going Porsche on a track, to competing in the Carrera Cup with Porsche Cars GB. Their professionally-organised trackdays and Championships make use of some of the UK’s most notable circuits, including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Goodwood, with more than 50 events taking place every year.
While the Club's highly respected championships are always closely fought and very competitive, they are also intended to be fun. With that in mind, we try to create a friendly and social environment that will reward you at whatever level of competition you get involved with.

For fans of endurance racing, this weekend cannot come quickly enough: at 2.30 pm on Saturday, 19 September 2020, the starting flag for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the largest and most tradition-rich motorsports event in the world, will be raised. Porsche is the most successful brand in the almost 100-year history of Le Mans. The sports car manufacturer from Zuffenhausen has had close ties to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for more than six decades, a period which has seen a total of 19 overall victories, countless class successes and indescribable emotions.
