Happy New Year and Welcome back to Resilient Minds 365 where we discuss the resilient stories of entrepreneurs, professionals and students with mental illnesses to encourage you to strive, thrive, and live in abundance. I’m your host Cleoni Crawford. This episode is giving you an insight into a caregiver’s perspective of mental illness. In this episode, we discuss with my mother, Jannett Scott Garvey also known as Queen Mother Evangelist Minister Jannett Scott Garvey.

Queen Mother Evangelist Minister Jannett Scott Garvey is a gospel, reggae, and R&B singer-songwriter whose ministry and music inspire hearts worldwide. Her powerful single “I Love You,” inspired by the Lord Jesus Christ and featuring C. Famous, Skanka B, and Adoneai, delivers a message of healing, faith, and devotion through every note.

A passionate minister of the Word, Jannett shares hope and salvation daily through Facebook Live, reaching a global audience. In 2023, she was nominated for a Humanitarian Award and received the Singer of the Year Award at the Cheaters Paradise Entertainment Awards in Asaba, Nigeria. Her career also includes an appearance in the film Jasmine: Between Two Hearts and performances at notable events in Toronto.

Formerly known as Lady Luscious, a dancehall reggae artist, Jannett has dedicated her life and talents to Christ. Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and now based in Canada, she continues to make an impact in both gospel and reggae music. In 2025, she marked another milestone by performing across Canada, returning to Jamaica for her Annual Youth Talent Competition, and receiving the Gospel Singer of the Year Award in Africa—affirming her unwavering mission to spread the message of Christ.

Meshach Harvey, also known as Shy-L7, comes from a deeply musical family. He has been playing music since the age of four. His father founded the legendary Canadian reggae bands Messenjah and Crack of Dawn. His uncle played for the iconic Jamaican reggae group Toots and the Maytals.

Music runs in the family—his sister is an incredible folk singer, one of his brothers is a talented African djembe player, and another brother is both a skilled rapper and guitarist.

As for me, I started out playing drums before moving to piano. In high school, I was part of a rock/reggae band called Paradigm. Around that time, I began writing songs, and in 2012, I started writing raps. I recorded my first rap studio session in 2015 with Jamal Harvey.

In 2017, I formed The Mindful MCs, a hip-hop group focused on mental health awareness. I also worked with Bryan Bravo of The Masterminds on Latin hip-hop, releasing several singles and music videos.

Since 2020, I’ve been collaborating on music with my uncle Carl Harvey, and I’ve been working with my producer Dennis Nieves since 2019. Currently, I’ve completed a single called "Stone Mountain," which is set for release on February 6.

I am neurodivergent and live with bipolar type 1 disorder, which has played a significant role in my life and experiences.

My name is Cleoni Crawford, simply @onlycleoni on instagram and I am a Christian, Mental Health Advocate, Minister, Brand Ambassador, best selling author, mother, Podcaster, Speaker and Serial Entrepreneur. I've been a marketplace minister since 2007 when I started my first business as a fashion designer for the company C-virtue where I made modest clothing for women that were fashion forward. I've been featured on 100 Huntley Street, Toronto Life, Rogers TV, Global TV, CTV, CBC, The Dialog, SMJ Magazine, Shimerzine Magazine, YorkU Magazine, The North York Mirror and Authority Magazine. I am no stranger to media. I've suffered many loses over the past years from my sister, her best friend, my cousin, my aunt and most recently the death of my father. I have been hospitalized 31 times, sent to prison twice, suicidal, homeless, forced to flee my home, a target of the police and was attacked by the US Border Services Agency.

I was also raped by a Nigerian pastor in my home while my autistic son slept. I am a black woman who has not been protected. I have had my son taken away from me twice by Children's Aid and am currently working with the Canadian Mental Health Association as a client with the ACTT team overseen by Dr. Kumar Naidu and formerly Dr. Anne Ferguson. Despite this, I have managed to turn my life around. I am a podcaster of 80 episodes to the podcast Resilient Minds 365, Mental Health advocate, University of Toronto Graduate, George Brown College Graduate, Graduate of the Addictions of Mental Health Program, and future tech developer for a new global app for faith based believers.

I am writing this petition today because I demand a global apology from my government, CANADA, Justin Trudeau and the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, and the Nigerian Government, President Tinubu for how I was treated by its residents. I am a BIPOC woman and I deserve to protected. Black woman deserve to be protected. You are probably wondering why this apology is important, it's because I had a criminal record and cannot travel freely to continue to advocacy work that I would like to do around the global. I appeal to you today to join me in this fight. I am you and you are me. We together, can do this.

Welcome back to another episode of Resilient Minds 365. Today’s guest is Patti Woodworth-Norris. Through her own journey with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain along with treating hundreds of patients throughout her career with chronic stress-induced illness, Patti Woodworth-Norris realized the profound impact that stress physiology has on all aspects of health. By rewiring her brain and rebalancing her nervous system, she was able to free herself from anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and many other physical symptoms and stress patterns. She has since helped many clients do the same with diverse health issues, traumas, and self-sabotaging patterns. Patti is now a firm believer that everyone with a chronic health issue will benefit from neural retraining, and in many cases it is critical to healing.

Welcome back to another episode of Resilient Minds 365. Today’s guest is Epiphany Jordan. Epiphany Jordan, MPH, CPH, is on a mission to rebrand human touch. Prior to the pandemic, she ran the Austin, Texas-based hands-on touch business, Karuna Sessions, a ritual of human connection that provided immersive touch therapy. She is the author of Somebody Hold Me: The Single Person's Guide to Nurturing Human Touch, and spoke about using human touch to solve loneliness at South by Southwest. During the pandemic she returned to school at the University of South Florida where she received her Master's in Public Health in 2023. studied public health, social marketing, and became certified as a health and wellness coach. Rebecca has been writing songs since she learned to carry a note at age 4; ever since, music has been her second language and the only constant in her life. She would sit for hours in front of her Sony tape deck, recording songs a cappella until she realized – having begun her formal music training on the violin – that she could learn an instrument to accompany herself. She began teaching herself guitar, then piano – all in service of the cathartic songwriting that helped her make sense of a churning world. Rebecca is driven by a need to understand life’s heartbeat, transforming ineffable experiences and vulnerable emotions into sound

Welcome back to Resilient Minds 365 where we discuss the resilient stories of entrepreneurs, professionals and students with mental illnesses to encourage you to strive, thrive, and live in abundance. I’m your host Cleoni Crawford. This week’s guest is Lynn Rae.

Lynn Rae was diagnosed with depression at the age of thirty and bipolar disorder at thirty-five. She has been living with these illnesses since 1991 and has had numerous hospitalizations. Two psychiatrists told her at age thirty-nine that she would never work full time again. She has proven them wrong. Lynn has written two books. The F Book: 7 F’s to Creating Your Fantastic Future teaches you how incorporating these seven F’s will lead to a happier, healthier, more joy-filled life. The other is called My Journey Back to Myself which depicts her struggles and recovery from bipolar disorder.

As an Inspirational Speaker Lynn shares with others her coping strategies for living with bipolar disorder and how she learned to be a productive member of society again and thrive despite how she was labelled. Her talk, “7 F’s to Creating Your Fantastic Future” outlines seven words all starting with the letter F that led to her recovery. She has spoken at hospitals, conferences, Rotary Clubs, libraries, colleges and universities. Lynn Rae makes her home in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. In the summer she loves taking care of her vegetable garden and eating fresh from it every day.

Kevin is the Host of the Top 100 Global Podcasts named "Next Level University". He’s had over 900+ episodes and listeners in over 120 countries. Some people find rock bottom... He found out that rock bottom has a basement. In his mid 20's... He had it all. A beautiful girlfriend, a high paying job, a sports car, his dream body... but he still ended up sitting on the edge of a bed debating suicide... several times.

After his rock bottom moment, He went all in on self-improvement, Kevin was determined to overcome his anxiety and to overcome his depression. Years later, Kevin now hosts a podcast with hundreds of thousands of downloads in over a hundred countries, He has grown the podcast into a multi six-figure business and has recorded over 700 episodes. He’s given nearly 100 speeches and had the opportunity to do hundreds of coaching calls.

The main thing that changed was HIM. He focused on learning what he didn't know (and unlearning a lot too) and his life started to shift. It's his purpose to help other people get unstuck and get to the next level of their lives! Kevin loves talking about Consistency, Commitment, Habits, Mindset, Confidence, Fear, Relationships and Limiting Beliefs.

Michelle E. Dickinson is a passionate mental health advocate, a TED speaker, and a published author of a memoir entitled Breaking Into My Life. After years of playing the role of child caregiver, Michelle embarked on her own healing journey of self-discovery. Her memoir offers a rare glimpse into a young girl’s experience living with—and loving—her bipolar mother. Michelle spent years working to eradicate the mental health stigma within her own workplace by elevating compassion, causing more open conversations, and leading real change in how mental illness is understood in the workplace.

Michelle also knows first-hand what it feels like to struggle with a mental illness after experiencing her own depression due to challenging life events of her own just a few years ago. Michelle recently concluded her 19-year pharmaceutical career and became an entrepreneur. She has emerged from her own challenging life events with a strong desire to positively impact the mental health landscape within the first responder community, the workplace and within local communities.
